Excellent efficient and friendly service

Absolutely superb service and not pushy at all
At the age of 63, I'd been getting a rather frustrated with my pension plan (St James' Place) and its lack of performance, and wanted to do something about it. I'd heard about drawdown, and had been exploring the possibilities on-line and with my IFA. In fact, my IFA was not a pension expert - I'd hired him for quite different purposes - and he introduced a colleague, who I found really pushy. This was a bit different from my St James Place experience where the agent was being, frankly, obstructive and negative to my wishes, which I was a bit surprised about, because he'd have earned some commission by actually doing something positive.
Anyway, I was doing some internet searching and stumbled on the My Pension Expert site and completed the online questionnaire to get some figures as to what was possible. It didn't produce an instant online response, so I forgot about it, but a couple of days later, I received a phone call from Shane of My Pension Expert. I found him really easy to talk to, and he wasn't pushing anything in particular and wasn't actually pushing anything at all. We were just talking and he was giving a huge amount of information.
After the frustrations of dealing with St James Place, and the pressure I felt from the independent pensions person I'd been introduced to, Shane was an incredible breath of fresh air. Nothing was too much trouble, and he was so patient when I had to ask him to explain something more than once. He took me through all the options, patiently and carefully, and allowed me to make my own decision based on our conversations and the various pieces of literature he sent out. From first contact to final setting up of the annuity was over two months, because he was more than content to go at my pace rather than his. I was truly delighted with the service and finished up with a product that I didn't even know existed before Shane told me about it. Even the other pension specialist didn't mention it, even though it came from a premier, blue chip provider!
After "pressing the button", the backroom admin also seemed to work smoothly and seemlessly, and I was delighted with the efficiency of the transaction. It all worked so well, and there was always somebody there to talk to who had access to the transaction, when I phoned.
I unreservedly recommend My Pension Expert, for professionalism, product knowledge and particularly for not being pushy. After all my other experiences, Shane was a shining example of how to help people make and take informed decisions, free from any of the pressure which seems to pervade so much of society today.

Everything was sorted out perfectly, no problems or unnecessary delays at all.
The adviser from MPE, Shane, was friendly and informative and made the whole excercise straightforward and hassle-free. At no point did I feel less than confident about what was proposed or executed. I was relieved of all of the work of merging my 3 pension pots.
I would cerainly recommend this company to anyone who wants to get their pension annuities sorted out in a friendly, efficient manner.

A great company that helps you through a potentially difficult process
I found Shane to be very helpful and prompt in sorting out my annuity. He kept in touch regularly, but not often to be annoying. There was one error by the annuity company, but that was promptly sorted out.

First Class service from initial contact to satisfactory conclusion
Having had some papers from my then current advisor, I decided to carry out a comparison to the pension arrangements I had been offered and found MyPensionExpert via Google
The initial contact was thorough without being pushy. The paperwork trail, including letters of authority were swift and acted upon professionally by Andy Binns who personally looked after my file from inception to completion
The quotes received from MyPensionExpert were far higher than those offered by my current Pension Provider's agent which proved that my curiousity and/or suspicion was right and I was correct to obtain a comparitive quote
I was kept informed via telephone and e-mail and finally the file was completed within about a month, whereas my previous agent was quoting about a 3 month processing period

Forget the comparison sites and go to these people
If like me you are self-employed and Googled "annuity" when nearing retirement, then you would have found a bewildering choice of companies promising the earth. Some of the differences in the quotes and the amount of commissions some comparison sites wanted for a very little work, was daunting.
My Pension Expert did what they said they would do. They compared the market for me, came up with better quotes than I had been able to find myself, consolidated my four pension pots into one and liaised with all the insurance companies on my behalf.
The whole process was hassle free, all the staff were very helpful and I would certainly recommend them to others.

My Pension Expert leads you safely through the pension maze
We are all too aware of the dire situation regarding pensions & investments, so I needed someone who would understand & could advise me on the best way forward in my particular case. Andy Binns was that man. He was empathetic, informative & unfailingly helpful. My pension fund was not huge but Andy offered a very personal service. Down to earth people making sense.
Right from the first point of contact I've been treated more like a friend than a client. All the advice I've been given has been in "real speak" rather than the baffling jargon offered by other's.

Look Nowhere Else but Here!
It was always evident that obtaining the best deal, especially in these times, was going to be very difficult and also time-consuming even with a degree in business education. After spending a lot of time over many months getting to know the markets, I came across My Pension Expert just when my policy reached maturity. Shane Kao from My Pension Expert found me the 'Best Deal' - no-one else offered me anything close to it. The extra mile
Having tried two so called FAs with regard to a pension annuity I was very disappointed & confused with their recomendations. None of which fitted my requirements.
Thankfully I found My Pension Expert on the internet & after a phone call from Scott Mullen to introduce himself & his company I was confident I had found someone who was listening to my wishes.

Very on the ball, no fuss no drama, just very efficient.
In determining what to do with my pension pot I must commend Mr Kao for giving a range of options, including one I had not known of that suited me perfectly. I did not want an annuity and the product recommended from LV provided versatility and a higher earlier income. The setting up, documentation, transfers and any queries were handled most efficiently. Picking an online provider is a bit of a stab in the dark, nonetheless I was very well served by Mypensionexpert and would without hesitation use them again

Eak out the maximum pot
When searching online for advice on what to do with a small pension pot that was due in the next three months I was inundated with emails from firms trying to get me to deal with them. Luckily I responded to the three that gave me the best initial advice and from that three it was obvious that Shane at My Pension Expert gave the most comprehensive advice without trying to sell himself or the company. If you do not know or are unsure what to do with an annuity I would speak to My Pension Expert to be sure you are aware of all your options My small pension pot I know is generating the maximum amount I can get after their advice.

Excellent service and advise, I could not have asked for more.
As a lot of people are, I was ignorent of my pension status as I was nearing retirement.
My Pension Expert, ( Andy Binns ) assisted in tracking down a pension I did not appreciate that I was entitled too and gave me advise on what I would receive and what I could do with my funds.

This Company apparently do exactly "what it says on the tin"
I was recently in the position of requiring to utilise a poorly performing pension and was disappointed with the annuity offered by my pension provider.
