I used myphotobook.ie for years and never had a problem with them apart from the odd photo upload error like someone's head being accidentally cropped out in the process of loading it onto their site. I thought they were great- user friendly software, great special offers, really good quality prints and delivery times etc. The only problem i had was this: I spent weeks and weeks putting together a This Is Your Life style photobook for my mum's 50th birthday. So 50 years worth of photos is a lot of work as you can imagine. My laptop was slowly dying so I uploaded it to their site when it was ready to make sure it was safe, but couldn't afford to order it just yet. There was no mention anywhere of not ordering it within a certain period of time being a problem. So four or 5 months later I finally have the money to order it....but they had deleted it, with NO WARNING whatsoever. Bad, bad form myphotobook people! I complained and inquired but nothing could be done. So now I have to start from scratch (with a different company). They should warn people and give them a chance to order before they go deleting weeks of work. Sickened.
First time I used this company and i am very happy with them. I created a photobook for a school on a trip they had been on. I ordered a copy before i made it available to the school to check quality etc. I have approved it and they should be expecting 20 more copies of the book to be ordered any day now!
I thought you might like to inform your readers of a scam being operated by myphotobook.co.uk
I placed an order a couple of nights ago, I had difficulty placing it as the site kept freezing.
I finally managed to place the order and a short while later I received an email telling me that the order had been accepted.
When I checked my emails the following morning I had received an other email from myphotobooks telling me that the order had been cancelled and I would have to place it again.
I placed it again only to discover that I've now ordered two books. I sent them an email within two minutes of placing the second order and told them to cancel it.
I've just received and email from the company (it's not possible to talk to anyone there by phone) and they're telling me that they can't cancel the order.
Perhaps you would like to tell your readers about these people, I'd hate anyone else to victim to this nasty cheating little outfit.
The Photo books are about 50 quid each, not an insignificant sum.
