The price and quality of tyres available online is much better than store only. Only problem was that the tyres did not arrive at the time booked online and the store advised that as the online system is seperate he could not give me an exact timo of arrival. Shame.
The person that started to work on my car looked half asleep. He slouched about.it looked like it was his first day on the job.mabe it was so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. He jacked up my car one on each side.took off the back wheels,I was not happy with the way the wheels were balanced.the figures came up on screen.he fitted the weights and removed the wheels without checking if the weights he fitted were ok.when I got home I checked the tyre pressures, one was 2 bar the other was 2.3 bar, they should have been 2.4 bar.only one new valve was fitted. Not happy.
I have used national numerous times, fast service when I'm in a rush, or just leave it with them whilst I'm at work. priced tyres on numerous sites, not much in it price wise, but the town centre location of my local branch swings it for me, plus I have always had good service in the past
Using the central Cambridge branch, we've always had good service and it's a good place to drop your car off for an MOT and then go into town to shop on a Saturday (saves a tenner in parking charges). Never felt that they've tried to rip us off on bogus repairs
It only took a couple of minutes to book an MOT using a code from the AA. I've used other websites and when I
have entered codes in, it tells me not excepted. Very frustrating. But this site very easy to use.
Was able to order correct tyres online by just the number plate which also made it cheaper. Now all I have to do is turn up and have them fitted. The Warranty is also handy! ONLY down side is that they are little more expensive then most places, but there are always special deals going on that you can take advantage of.
I needed a new tyre quickly 225 55 R17 W - selected "Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance" on basis of ratings for petrol consumption, wet grip and noise plus good overall user reviews
Did search on internet and National Tyres and Autocare was best deal even taking into account discounts and cash-back.
Filled out online form to buy, selected nearest fitting centre in Croydon .... - online booking usually takes 2-3 days .... not quick enough ....NO PROBLEM website instructs you to call up for faster fitting.
Just phoned up local centre where very polite man told me tyre was not in stock but would be delivered next morning and as soon as it was received he would call me to come in and have it fitted it .
All worked out successfully - a real 5 star performance
Easy website to access and very intuative. Booking was simple and payment made.
I was looking at it wrong but once I got it was no problem to get round
Booked my car in for an oil change and service a week in advance
Arrived and they didn't have the filter, so rather than wait I had to come back later after an awkward journey to/from work. When I did come back the car didn't seem to have moved. They didn't give me any confidence they'd done any work , and wouldn't provide me with any paperwork.
I called their customer line who promised to send me some paperwork and nothing ever arrived.
UPDATE - still waiting for a reply from the National Tyres post below
When i ordered my replacement tyre on-line i was given a time (pm) and the branch where to have it fitted, i spoke prior to ordering and asked if it was possible to have a lunchtime fitting, i was told that shouldn't be a problem. After driving my car on the run flat to the branch i was promptly told that i would have to wait at least 1 and a half hours before it could be looked at. I was shocked but asked why, i immediately was informed they were short staffed. Why wasn't i informed in advance that there could be a problem in waiting time asked, wasn't interested! i phoned the on-line booking office who promptly phoned the branch, whilst i was on hold i noticed that all the staff were actually stood still looking at me one the phone, i guess they knew i had phoned up to complain after around 15 to 20 minutes i was informed that i could come back later at 4.30pm and have it fitted then. the whole 20 minutes not one of the fitters had moved from looking over. when i returned it took 1hr15 minutes to have the tyre changed.
i guess that changing tyres takes longer these days as! although the last tyre i had fitted 3 months ago by a competitor in Northwich only took 15 minutes.
Lesson learned should have gone elsewhere....BTW I dont need an MOT because it is half price and i dont need telling that i should check my oil because it is winter...if i wont a service i go to a mini specialist...if i want a tyre i go to a tyre fitter.
concentrate on what you are supposed to be good at not trying to upsell me another product.
