Northern Diver Varilux, wow what a torch!!!
I bought this at the Birmingham dive show back in October for £175. I must admit I was a bit apprehensive of this torch as it seems to be very low in price for the amount of lumens it produces. However I can happily say the ‘Varilux’ did NOT disappoint! I have been using this torch now for 3 months and it has been my saving grace. The physical quality of the torch itself is fantastic; it is brilliantly made and extremely robust. When diving in waters with poor visibility the 1200 lumens is unreal! It is easy to charge too with a lovely docking station included. I don’t normally post reviews like this but i had to express how happy I am with this fantastic piece of equipment!

Northern Diver offered me a very good service.
I had made quite a bit of research on the suit I wanted before purchasing, I was worried about some of the feed back but took the leap any way, It was just what I wanted and received top quality customer service!!!!!
I bought a wet suit for a holiday in Spain, and the suit ended up being a very nice bit of kit, i love it!
I will definitely recommend Northern Diver to my friends!

Giving you VFM making diving more affordable
Been dealing with ND for 30 Years, this is the Company that made Drysuits affordable to Scuba Divers, making a Drysuit for £200 when the nearest equivalant Posideon Unisuit was £650. Over the Years had lots of Gear and recomended lots of friends.
They Continue today as good and concerened as ever, recently bought my 6th suit from them and continue to dive dry. with regards to other equipment, always at competative prices and backed up by a great customer service. Always does what it says on the box. Northern Diver is the Choice of the Ministry of Defence and Emergecy Services, Thats good enough for me, nobody works the gear harder than these Guys.

Poor quality and even poorer service
I purchased a supposedly good quality wetsuit from Northern Diver. It wasn't cheap so I wasn't expecting cheap rubbish. Within minutes of wearing the suit the noeprene started to crumble and fall off.
They took the suit back but are deliberately making me jump through hoops to get a refund.
UPDATE
Luckily I had paid by Paypal and they sorted out the refund for me.
The person who dealt with my return at Northern Diver was unbeleivably rude and arrogant

Customer relations need improving.
I came into the shop. I was fitted with a vortex dry suit lady's large relaxed. I was told I had to pay £50 to get the boots changed, which I did. On recieving my dry suit a week or so later, I found it to be an XL relaxed and was so huge on me, it would have been an air bag nightmare in the water (it actually fitted my 6ft boyfriend). It took a number of phone calls and proof of my original reciept that I was fitted to a LR not an XLR (I am a lady size 12 and only 5ft 3!). Eventually after sending photographic evidence, I was sent the correct size - which didn't need the boots changing.... never got my £50 back either!!
Overall opinion - too excited to make a sale, and perhaps missed the customer communication side.

Must try harder
I paid for a made to measure suit, (measured by them) but it didnt fit. I took it back and had it re-done - it still didnt fit. After driving across the country 4 times I finally had a suit, and whilst they gave me a free gift (after I complained about the service) which was nice, it would have been preferable to just get it right in the first (or even second) time. what I wasted in petrol and time off work was not worth my while and I would be very hesitant to use them again or recommend them to anyone else. I would just add, that when I finally did get the service I expected, it was with a different member of staff, so it could have just been one member of staff that spoilt my experience.

Quality not as good as it used to be
To expensive quality nowhere near as good as it used to be 10 years ago, as a commercial diver have purchased a lot of origin 800s of the years and the quality has declined severly since early 2000 if I could get an origin as good as they were tens years ago I would still buy ndiver rather than gone elsewhere don't mind the price increase as these things happen but the price has gone up and the quality gone down I hope they pick their game up for the future.
