Strange as it seems, even after close to 10 years of being their customer, newegg continues to stay on top of technology and is still my goto place for components. For me at least, their two best features are:
1. my order history...it goes back to 2003, and makes it super easy to upgrade NAS drives without having to crack anything open. It also helps me keep track of all the random projects that I've built over the years.
2. Their deals...funny how this is probably the only site where I actually pay attention to all the deals in the grid. It's been useful on more than one occasion.
I've never had issues with customer service, nor the products they've sold me....so I hope the streak continues for the next 10 years.

Ordered new boots from newgg and they were shipped to Texas but I live in California. The tracking clearly showed delivery to Texas by USPS. When I contacted newegg they told me they were not responsible for items not sent by their third party sellers and that I "was on my own". . Newegg used to be a trusted site but since they went to selling for third party sellers, you are on your own. They will not stand behind slaes from their own website! I was totally betrayed by newegg after buying from them for 20 years.
Newegg has refunded the loss. I should have given more time to them before crying. Still no response from

I have been a Newegg customer since 2007, and in that time, I have spent thousands of dollars with them. After my last experience, I have some reservations about shopping there again.
I moved about a year ago and I have emails from Newegg proving that I changed my address before placing my order and that they used the correct address when I originally placed the order. However, my credit card payment was declined and I decided to change my payment method to Paypal. Unbeknownst to me, my old address was still on file with Paypal, and Newegg shipped my order there. The package was delivered to my old address and the people who live there would not answer the door and did not call me back after I left them a note and sent them a certified letter.
I contacted Newegg for help and spoke to 4 or 5 different people. All of them made hollow apologies but refused to refund my money or ship a replacement. They said that they always ship to the address on file with Paypal, and since my package was delivered as addressed, they would not help me. Since moving, I have placed multiple orders with other merchants via Paypal, and they all used the shipping address I gave them, not the address they got from Paypal.
In the end, the best Newegg would offer was a $20 gift certificate, which was completely unacceptable since their mistake cost me $350. When I told them I would dispute my transaction with Paypal, they said would bar me from placing any orders in the future. Paypal resolved the dispute in my favor, so I eventually got my money back and made my purchase elsewhere.
Update: I heard back from firstname.lastname@example.org and they actually seemed interested in my feedback. They pointed out that there is a disclaimer that says they only ship to your Paypal confirmed address, but it is easy to miss. I pointed out that as part of the checkout process, if you haven't used Paypal before, it shows your Newegg shipping address, which is what led me to believe I had selected the correct shipping address. Hopefully they'll do something to make it less confusing. At this point I am willing to call it an unfortunate misunderstanding, albeit one that should have been handled better by their customer service department.

I've ordered hundreds of thousands of dollars in equipment with newegg. due to quantity limitations, they suggested I try the newegg business site. on my first order, they shipped $4K in parts but held another $8K saying my order was fraud.
despite my reminding them of our newegg.com account number and the lengthy history with them, they insist I call them from the number associated with our card. however, that's an incoming online line and newegg is not worth the time to sort that out with our bank. seems their fraud department has no actual brain.
I told them I would refuse the shipment they sent and charge it back. they told me if I charge it back that they will lock my account. uh...you sort of already did.
bye bye new egg. plenty of other vendors out there who will love to have our business. also, I've found Amazon is often less expensive than newegg

I made a purchase of a external unit(Brand new) at newegg recently.
They shipped me a used/return item(item came with out shine wrapping, there is dust everywhere). I requested for a refund, they charged me $18 dollar to ship it back and 22.50 for restocking fee.
At the end of the day, I WASTED 1 week of time and short of $40+ dollar.
This company is a nightmare. I ordered a refurbished GE X600 digital camera from them and the wrong color was wrong, there was one part missing, and the LCD screen was damaged. I had asked for a replacement, but after several days they decided they don't have any more of that camera, so they sent me a refund. But they're so stupid they screwed that up too and didn't issue a refund for the extended warranty I got with it. It will be a miracle if they actually refund a single penny. This company should be out of business.
Newegg was my favorite place to shop for high-end computers parts but not anymore and never will be. I have building and buying computer parts from newegg for over 4 years and it was great till recently I bought a Intel core i7 4770 from newegg and it was DOA (Computer crash in few hours of stress test). The CPU is Defect but have no physical damage at all. I sent the CPU in for RMA and I get rejected due to "The CPU has dents on the left and right side of the CPU. End-user would need to contact the product manufacture for direct support". WHAT?? I pack my CPU very carefully with tons of peanut around all sides and the cpu is sit in it original box. There is no way that it dent due to shipping. Newegg customer support refuse to help and keep saying "Nothing we could do" WHAT?? Ok now I end up with a DENT CPU that is useless piece of junk. I very unhappy with newegg RMA and customer department. They treat you like crap and wouldn't help you but even those it clearly that they dent my CPU and refuse to replace it. This cause me a lot of time and a big lost of $360(Not Include shipping) I WILL NEVER EVER USE OR BUY ANYTHING FROM NEWEGG EVER AGAINT. GOOD BYE!!!!!. I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH NEWEGG CUSTOMER SERVICE. It is Unprofessional and would not listen to their customers at all. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM NEWEGG. RUN AWAYYYY!!!

I bought 4 memory sticks (4x8GB) from their website and when the products arrived, I plug them into my computer and only 1 stick work and the other 3 don't work, then I called customer service and ask for a return and the customer service guy denied my return and ask me to contact the manufacturer, I said I want to return and get refund. they just hang up the phone and so I filed credit card dispute against this transaction and then they lose, the credit card company refund the charge. You know what they did? They just delete my account with Newegg.com, Can't image such an ugly business that won't take responsibilities and broke the contract and blame the customers for his fault.

Wow.. I will simply never use newegg ever again. I placed an order for about $13k in products, some orders got cancelled because of qty limits even though not on sale, orders were split into random orders, and they decided to send whatever they felt n

I would not recommend them nor ever use them again. Amazon was cheaper but I figured I pay littlenit more but get it all at one place, i cancelled all my orders and will be going through amazon now..
I used to be a loyal customer with Newegg, cause they had great customer service. BUT NOW A DAY EVERYTHING CHANGED!!! I just order a hard drive from them, and when i got the item, it was defective!! then i do the RMA with them, and they said i did some scratch on the label!? I really shock!! i used to do computer maintenance with my customer, i know how to treat my hard drive in the right way, while it in my hand there is no drop no hit with anything!! now they said i scratch the label and void the warranty!? NICE MOVE Newegg.com!! REALLY NICE!! I want to tell everyone watch out for their RMA, if you got your purchase just wish you won't get the defective one!! or you will get a hell of the way to return the item, by the way, you need to pay for the shipping even they send you the defective item, and it's not cheap, my hard drive cost me $15 if i use their UPS shipping.

We have purchased several items from Newegg.com for last few years. Newegg promptly ships product and prices are very competitive. We will keep doing business with them.
Received a bad laptop from them that i payed extra to rush ship to me. It got to me on time. Now they want me to send it back, wait 2 weeks until they can decide if it's broken, then they might send me a new one. I have spoken to 4 reps and 1 supervisor and 1 other person after submitting 1 review, who did almost nothing for me except tell me to send it in to the other company for replacement. Considering this is the 3rd defective item i have received from Newegg they should be able to do something. They WILL NOT refund it, even though there are multiple problems with it. So now i have to wait 2 weeks walking around with all my college life on one flash drive, waiting to get the laptop fixed.
I just want a refund and they won't do it. They won't even upgrade or reimburse the extra money i dished out to have a useless product shipped to me. Thanks Newegg. Last time anyone i know and myself order from Newegg.

i ordered my projector from them recieved it very very fast after 2 month it broke i contact newegg customer service and they issued rma # so i can ship it back for exchange i send back the item today and received another projector in 2 days i love this kind of service for sure i will come back to buy more
I recently made a rather large purchase through Newegg. About $1400 total in purchases. The items were all shipped in 3 separate shipments by two carriers. None of them were requested to have a signature on delivery. I was notified by email on December 31st that 2 of my 3 shipments was delivered to my door. This was at noon while I was at work and I didn't get home from work until about 6 pm. When I got home, nothing was at my door. I checked with all my neighbors and only one of them was able to tell me that they saw the delivery guy but didn't see anything after that. I called the police but they told me that there really isn't much they could do about it and to keep an eye on the pawn shops. I didn't bother to file a police report at that time because I wanted to call the shipper and Newegg first. The shipping company was fast to send the driver back out and he confirmed with his GPS that he dropped the package at my door and then left. I called Newegg and filed a claim. They did not request a police report at that time. They told me it would take 10 business days to review.
15 business days later and several phone calls later and I was still waiting on a resolution! On Jan 23rd they stated that my claim was denied because the shipper delivered the packages and said to file a police report if I wish to dispute it. As if the police can do anything about it now! The 3rd part of my purchase was delivered by FedEx and I received it just fine. I am out over $1000 in equipment due to Newegg's failure to request a signature on something that CLEARLY should require it! When I contacted the police to file a report they stated that there still wasn't anything they could do to help find my stolen property.
This is entirely Neweggs fault for not either giving me the option to pay for, or requesting themselves a signature on delivery. Due to their negligence, my stuff was stolen and now they have the gall to deny a replacement of the product! I will never buy from Newegg again. I don't recommend and will never recommend anybody else to Newegg either.
Do Not buy anything as a GIFT from newegg. Their customer service does not care about you or your situation IF/WHEN something goes wrong. They will not treat you with any respect nor will they do one thing to help you. Buy your Gifts from someone else. My wife purchased from them, for me, on 11/24/12 as a X-mas gift. Problems started immediately upon installing the new ram but it was already 12/27/12 by then and newegg could care less about you after 30 days!
Do Not Buy anything as a GIFT from newegg or the person you care about will likely be screwed by newegg!
Started with not receiving product I had ordered from NewEgg. Submitted a claim for the non-shipped item (was a $1.99 power fan cable). After being told my claim would need to be reviewed and would take 3-5 days, I went ahead and posted a negative review about NewEgg. Within 30 minutes of posting my review I received a phone call from NewEgg customer support who had seen my review. The agent was apologetic and would ship the part out immediately. Well this was my first negative experience with NewEgg however my faith was restored after that phone call. I have been a NewEgg shopper for the past 4 years and will continue to do so. Thanks NewEgg!
I enjoy building my own computers and whenever I start a new project I load up the Newegg website to look for parts that I want. They have such a wide selection at very reasonable prices that I really don't have any need to shop anywhere else for parts. Just make sure that you get the part that you want the first time because it isn't always cheap to return parts that you decide you don't like later on, and you will probably end up paying a shipping and restocking fee.
Newegg doesn't stand by its 30 days return policy. Bought a new laptop only to find out that it qualifies for replacement only after I called to return. No indication of that when I bought it. Also, worst customer service ever. Only was able to talk to a live person once. They would just put me on hold forever or re-direct to leave a call back number and they never called. Good luck getting a hold of them or honoring their return policy.
Their inventory is excellent, easy to find everything with their search tools, and great prices. I've bought memory chips, flash drives, power supplies, and full desktops from Newegg, and everything arrived on time and in perfect working condition. Highly recommended.

I ordered Lenovo ThinkPad 43N3423 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive.
Few days later, I received a Toshiba Internal Notebook Hard Drive with a receipt (printed the Lenovo product that I ordered).
I thought Toshiba might manufacture some accessories for Lenovo.
I returned the Toshiba product with the reason "The size does not apply to my notebook."
A week later, NEWEGG informed me as below:

I never have Toshiba products in my apartment.
I have not ordered any accessories for my notebook for more than one year.
I packed this Toshiba something into its original package right after I unpacked it, and returned it to NEWEGG.
So, if I really follow NEWEGG's instruction, would Toshiba accept this wrong item and send me a Lenovo?

Well, they can still deny it.
Since the proof of mistake is held in NEWEGG, they can conduct whatever process they want.
Do not buy from NEWEGG or you would probably get NON-NEWEGG something and lose your money.
I will not accept this Toshiba something that they ship back to me until they tell me where it came from.
There are more negative reviews online. I sincerely hope Mr. Fred Chang not to dishonor our mother country.
After several communications, NEWEGG still replies that NON-NEWEGG Toshiba something, not my refund, is coming to me.
I've had many good experiences from Newegg over the years. The only gripe I have is having to pay for expediting the ordering process to get things to ship that day. But with the prices as good as they are it's not really a big deal.
