Customer Service is HORRIBLE.

Your customer service is HORRIBLE. Ordered software for my home and then using my business account ordered software for my business. Had my business ordered cancelled because of the quantity limit, even though it was for my business (completely different address). I called your customer service and apparently because I worked hard to own my own business and its under my name it groups the accounts together. BUT if I would have waited 48 hrs I could have ordered it from my business account, even though on the promo page it says one promo per registered account (nothing about one per person, address, business, phone, email, sex, birthday, height, eye color...(the last couple aren't true, but it does seem that way)). This is the most absurd thing I have ever heard.

Then there is the fact that you wouldn't honor the promotion price now (even though you have this promotion almost every other week). The only thing I was offered was half of the promotion value, a joke considering you have this same promotion all the time for the same promotion price.

What is even more frustrating, the order has been completely erased in your system, luckily Google kept track of it for me.

What put me over the top was the fact that I had an agent tell me I was lying to her about a promotion that YOU sent me by email. 40 minutes later and extremely frustrated and nothing (You can't even show me where it said one per customer, address, business, ect.) for that promo.

You lost a customer who always talked Newegg up and sent you numerous referrals. Newegg used to be great, but after this experience you have gone way down hill. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Horrible!!

Not only does Newegg NOT accept returns on certain orders (defective or not), but there exchange policy is absolutely the worst system I have ever heard of!!!!!!!!!! I purchased a $125.00 Logitech remote, after stepping it up the touch screen continually locked up causing the remote to be inoperable. Newegg said they would send a replacement, but not UNTIL they received back the defective remote. What!!!!!!! The return shipping label they send you is economy shipping that takes 5-7 business days to get to their facility, then Newegg takes another 5-7 days just to process the order, then you have to wait ANOTHER 5-7 to receive the replacement!! So basically their policy dictates that you are without your purchase for close to a month.

This was my first purchase through Newegg and I can promise that will NEVER buy from them again, there are way too many options to purchase on the internet that put the customer first!! Unless you don't mind shotty customer service and overall extremely slow service, I would recommend you stay away as well!!!!!

Good for fast shipping of tech products

Bought a Bose mini Bluetooth speaker from Newegg. It arrived in just 6 days, which was a pleasant surprise. The price seemed a bit steep, but it appeared to be typical when I checked a few other sites. Pleased with the speed of delivery and easy to understand review system (i.e., pros, cons, other thoughts). Will probably use the site in the future for tech products—especially if the price guarantee is still available.

Good Until you have to RMA

Been using Newegg for years but, recently I had a GPU go bad after a week and had to RMA it. They charged $18 to ship it back and replied back a week later with this response "Unfortunately, the below item# 14-133-525 VGA PNY VCGGTX7803XPB-OC GTX780 3GB is not recognized by our system because the serial number is missing. Removal of the serial number automatically voids any Standard Warranty. The SN on the box was found stuck on the anti static bag and is unremovable." The serial # and box were in original condition when it was shipped. Called them and they said there was nothing they could do. Very very poor consumer service . I will never shop with them again

NewEgg is the number one stop for PC parts. For years, I have used and trusted NewEgg with anything I ever needed for my computer. They have great prices, useful information, and fast shipping! Each product they offer generally have multiple images showing different angles, in which you can zoom in for a better look. The product pages also features component sizes (such as what size a motherboard is, what slots are within it, etc). One of the best parts about NewEgg are the customer reviews. You can see who has reviewed components and whether they actually purchased the product before reviewing. Anytime I've ever had an issue (which was extremely rare), they have always stepped up to the plate to help make it right. Not good at all

Ordered a Motherboard alone with 700 dollars in parts. Put it all together and thought it all worked. It fired up to bios. read the CPU the ram the graphics card and everything. Then the fun began. I tried to install Windows but no matter what I did it keep booting into Bios. Called Asus and after about 20 mins he was tell me I am sorry its most likely a firmware issue and we can't fix it from their so just sent it back to us or the place you got it to get it fixed. Sent it back to Newegg to get a replacement. Then newegg emailed me back this reply copied and pasted "The motherboard was received with apparent end-user caused physical damage to the CPU socket contact pins. Items received with physical damage cannot be processed by Newegg and void our return policy. You will need to contact the product manufacturer for direct support." So some how a Firmware issue is my fault. Never again well I shop there. I just hope my CPU and other stuff works after the 2 weeks of setting around .

Good store until you need to RMA something, then the nightmare begins.

Have been a PC gamer all my life and all my build components came from here. Just recently spent almost 3k on their site for a new build and things were going ok till I find out the motherboard is bad. I have never had to RMA anything with them before so I called them up and at first they said they wouldn't take the item back, it was against their policy. I raised a big enough stink that they finally agreed to take it back and waited, but like a week later I called to see why I hadn't heard anything yet and you find out that the shipping label they give you is the cheapest and slowest possible, then they say once they get it back it could be like 5 bussiness days after that before a replacement is even shipped, so I'd be looking at a couple more weeks. I called and said this was unacceptable so we changed to refund( in store credit only) which I thought should move along since they had the board back. Well I waited and waited with no credit showing up then called to find out, oh yea, with the in store credit, you still have to wait the 3-5 bussiness days to get your money back. When I bought the item from them they took the money from my account pretty instant without me even having the item in hand, lol. Long story short, just opened an account with Tigerdirect.

Update!! By the way do not pay for the next day shipping, it's a scam. First after you place the order then you have 2-3 bussiness days verification, then your shipping days start, lol. So it's still gonna be like a week or so. The more I dig into these people the more I distrust and dislike them.

Computer Equipment GALORE

I have always ordered all of my computer equipment from Newegg and always received great working products. I have designed two Computer rooms for my local school and purchased all of the equipment through new egg. Shipping could be a bit faster but other then that always had a positive experience.

Looking to upgrade my laptop and desktop soon and I will absolutely be back.

cheaters selling used product saying its new

I purchased mcafee protection code online on 50 dollar. When i tried to activate it, it was already used code by some other users. When I ask refund with customer service, they said according to their policy, they can't refund my money back to me. They sold fraud product and they denied to refund my money. This way they are making money out of me without selling any actual and genuine product. I have report it to internet crime and I will report it to consumer protection bureau too. I am not sure if anybody can help me get my money back from this cheater company but I recommend not to buy such products from this company any more. Even google is saying its a secure site. Later on google sent me email saying this product is not covered by their protection plan.

Completely unacceptable support

I ordered a new Asus laptop from newegg on Thursday morning. There was some confusion because the shipping and billing address were different *used our corporate credit card. I received a follow up phone call 30 minutes later to confirm the address different. This was not a problem at all. I actually appreciate the follow up phone call from Newegg. They thanked me for confirming and said the order was complete and confirmed.

If only I knew then that this was only the start of Newegg Drama land. I received an email a few hours after that saying my order was "on hold". Called them. The explained the same the phone agent before said. I told them of the previous conversation. The support rep said someone in the verification department must be new and made a mistake, but they went home for the evening and I would receive a call the following morning.

Following morning, no call. Early after noon, I give them a call. Explain the whole situation again. Agent asks me to give billing address again (same card used on lots of vendors Amazon (amazon.com is the best!) , monoprice, etc w/ 0% issue, 0% drama) Agent tries the address and confirms it works. But says i still need to talk to verification team again. Agent says they will contact me before the end of day.

End of day. No call. Call them. Explain whole situation again. They apologize that the verification department was TO BUSY today to talk to me!! They will contact me first thing in the morning

Today. Almost noon NO CALL. to make things even better, their support line is closed!! SAT + SUN closed. What kind of a company is this. Now all my other computer components from all other vendors have started to arrive at my home. Newegg? Haven't even gotten past stage 1.

Way back when newegg was the first big computer hardware online vendor, maybe someone can put up with this. But these days. Amazon. w/ Amazon Prime, monoprice, countless other hardware vendors all striving to be the best. Having this kind of support is unacceptable.

I expect a call from Newegg to rectify this situation or I will continue to share this situation. 678-765-6321. Order # 154544889


UPDATE: Sat evening. Still no call or contact from Newegg . I paid extra for 2-day shipping on a brand new laptop that I'm excited about. In over 2 days I can't even find someone to confirm the status of my order.


UPDATE: Monday still no contact from Newegg. Really what kind of company is this.


UPDATE: Monday afternoon. After one more phone call and a promise call back by the verification team within 2 hours I was again lied to and received no call back. All I have received is a duplicate email of the email from last week about an invalid address. I already confirmed with the rep on the phone that the address is correct and the rep successfully ran the address w/ the credit card. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM! Officially worst company I have ever dealt with. The support reps are friendly but what is the verification department doing??? Do these guys even work?

UPDATE: Please ignore Newegg's comment below about "Please contact wecare@newegg.com" . It's just another lie. I emailed wecare@newegg.com twice already with 0 response. I even tried their other "pretend like we care" email addresses wecare.facebook@newegg.com and wecare.twitter.newegg.com. 100% 0 response by either email or phone like I have requested for 5 days now.

678-756-6321. I consider their response more of an insult than anything else.

It's a great one-stop online computer retailer

This is a great site for buying computer parts. They have the hard to find parts needed for replacements in older computers. An example: I have an old Pentium 4 system from 2001 using RDRAM, a dead format. I use it for a Home Theater PC nowadays. Then the RAM goes kablooey! Newegg not only had the RAM chip for this defunct technology, but had it in stock! Great job, Newegg!

Prefer NewEgg over Amazon when it comes to my computer-related purchases.

The shipping speeds and flexibility is amazing. Well, at least for where I live.

Anytime I've purchased from NewEgg, they've managed to not only beat Amazon in price, but they've also been able to get the product to my home days before the estimated delivery date.

I only rate 4/5 stars because everybody deserves some criticism.

Some parts of NewEgg's site is not so user friendly. At least compared to Amazon.
The design of the site is nothing the average computer person can't figure out. But, it could use a lot of work, maybe that's just the web-designer in me nit-picking.
