I am writing this review on the customer service I received in regards to this product. I am quite furious with NewEgg. This CPU was defective upon receiving it along with my motherboard. So I requested a RMA. After 2 weeks they had received the product and inspected it. NewEgg refused to grant me a RMA for the CPU. They said upon receiving the product it was severely damage and they were shipping it back to me denying my claim. So I called them up to inquire. I was on the phone for over a hour. NewEgg refused to do anything about it. They continually stated that I needed to contact the manufacturer. They told me that because the pins were broken they could not accept the product back. They told me that it was lose in the package when it was received. I know for a fact that it was not broken prior to leaving. I had it packed in all the original casing. Nothing was broken prior to it leaving my house and being shipped out.
I find it pretty sad how a company could pride themselves of customer service and then not live up to their expectations. To take it a step further, the message I received from NewEgg in my email, was another slap in the face. They accused me of improperly installing the CPU. How can you not only deny a claim, but then have the audacity to make such a statement. They said "might be due to improper installation". The fact that you even state that is very disrespectful. I spent over a hour on the phone with NewEgg and they said the same sentence at least 25 times. You must contact the manufacturer, we are unable to do anything. And that is not the worse part. Through my conversation with the manager, I got the sense that if I lied about how the product came to me. They probably would have been able to replace the part with broken pins. And the manager I spoke to hinted to that numerous times. I am an honest man, and I would never do something like that. It is morally unacceptable.
I bought a Samsung display at newegg and was offered a package deal with the display of a wall mount. I assumed that I could use this mount with the display only to find out from Samsung that this display could not be mounted on a wall mount. I told them I wanted to return the item and they told me that it stated on their sight that package deal does not guarantee that the items work together as stated on their website and would incur the shipping cost.
The only reason that I bought this is because they advertised them as a package deal and I was deceived into thinking that they would work together. They will refund to me half of the shipping cost. The supervisor was not much better so I have an expense due to deceiving advertising. Their return people were not the problem they were courteous and professional but I feel deceived. I have purchased many computer parts and items from NewEgg through the years and now for a 8 dollar return fee they are losing a customer that has bought thousands of dollar worth of items from them. Not only are they deceiving but that is really dumb company policy toward their customers.

Major problems with the Newegg Marketplace. If you get cheated in Newegg Marketplace, Newegg won't help. You're on your own. Newegg is not Amazon.
Quoting their policies they told me:
"The product was sold and shipped directly by the seller. Newegg is simply a platform."
So now they're just a "platform" to send products and wash their hands of them. I thought people buy from Newegg because they offer service and assurance that things will be OK. If I got a rock in a box, not just open-boxed used goods pre-configured with someone's random password, and with missing parts, I wonder if they'd still just be a 'platform.'
Yes, Newegg is selling on behalf of other sellers, and this is not new.
I know exactly what multichannel selling is. eBay and Amazon both has proesses in place for this. You are not forced to send emails to seller and pray to God you get some sort of resolution. I did not get what I ordered. They're saying "tough luck, that's your problem, go contact the seller."
Really? Is that eggsellent service? So all the branding of Newegg goes away in my mind, unless you tread carefully and only order from Newegg. If you order from the Marketplace, well, might as well just buy it from any shady dealer because you have no dispute escalation process and they claim they're just a 'platform.'
So if you're not ordering from Newegg Marketplace, they're probably still OK. But if it's not Newegg, you'd best stick with Amazon, where they actually have a system in place for resolutions and maintain some level of customer service for items they don't fulfill. Not emails and prayer.

Newegg always has what I'm looking for in computer parts. The shipping is fast, and the customer service is reliable. When I had a problem with a product in the past, they immediately took action to solve it for me. It's the first place I look for anything computer -- and interesting, they've branched out to cooperate with other companies with some other products like vitamins.
I've ordered from them a few times now, and the parts are always what they say they are, and they always arrive quickly. The "no-name" parts work just as well as the name brand parts, at half the price. I've ordered things like HDMI cables and PC adaptors, and all have worked perfectly.
Contrary to what some people post, Newegg has given me proof of being on the way to having a great customer service. I had a little mishap with their customer service, but they are hiring new employees, since they are growing and it is understandable. I complained about the way their representative talked to me and received great response from their staff and director. If you are not heard at first, you should always escalate issues and you will get a good response from companies like Newegg. Ask to talk to a manager, push the issue and things will improve. Given their prices, growth, and recent events, I must give them 5 stars.
I purchased an entirely new computer through this site, with the exception of the harddrive. When I went to access my rebates, they did not show up under my account. I was finally able to sit down and contact the company, via live chat. The representative was completely useless and sent me links I could not open with my (brand new) computer (no firewalls, cookies deleted daily). The website is not user-friendly for those of us who are not computer geniuses. I did not resolve my rebate issues in time, costing me over $100.00 -- I had spent over $1000.00 in the last two months. I will NEVER buy from this site again, and don't recommend it to anyone prone to support blues. The only reason it gets a star at all is because that's the minimum.

The computer that I ordered was defective I send back parts they send me another one. It was defective . Ship it back. Then they said that it was my fault. That I damaged the product. I repair arcade games I work with processes and circuit board and computers all they time. I have never bend a pin on any chip. Customer service was horrible and very unhelpful. Don't buy form them unless you are willing to loose your money since they have no return policy in practice.
About the Newegg policy to return defective products bough at and from Newegg:
“No, Newegg does not pay the return shipping cost for defective merchandise. We are not responsible for product defects, because we do not manufacture the products we carry. However, if you pay to send the item back to Newegg, we will replace the item and ship the replacement to you at no charge. Newegg will employ every resource it has to ensure that your item is replaced promptly, without hassle.”
The assertion and argument that Newegg is not responsible for defective products seems ludicrous at best and certainly undermine and demise the critical mass of its customer base. Newegg is responsible for any defective product that it sells directly to the customer: since I did not buy the item from the manufacturer, the purchase and acquisition process took place between the buyer and Newegg, therefore Newegg is fully responsible for any issue that the product may have upon arrival. A defective item due to manufacturer process or product handling that is present in any item stocked by Newegg is a problem between Newegg and its suppliers, the buyer has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with it.
I love Newegg, everything they do is just great. It use to be they were the best deal online but now they are just like everyone else on price but that is okay, I know I will be pampered by them if I have an issue.
Just last month 11-2011 I received 2 bad hard drives. I sent them in by UPS 3 day select and newegg returned them FedEx over night to me. Please note: this was on two different RMAs on Hard drives that I believe UPS messed up, the box looked dropped. Newegg has always been awesome to me and I have never had any issues.
Also on another note about others that have had RMA issues where they needed the part that day. If it is that important to you in the first place to have the part that day because you are leaving for a trip or you promised it to someone please BUY IT LOCALLY. Things happen in shipping and just because you received a lemon mean its Newegg fault, its the manufacture or it broke in shipping. I have bought many items that were too important from local stores due to the ease of getting another same day or returning it if I didn't like it and wasn't too sure if it would work for me. DO NOT BLAME others for your inept abilities to make wise purchases based on DOA's that could never happen to me, I am better than that.
For Online Stores NEWEGG is the best, period, don't listen to idiots that had issues cause they drug their feet on an urgant purchase or didn't know what it was they were buying. If you need your hand held please save yourself some pain and buy locally from someone you can talk to one on one or can return same day if you need to. Online ordering is for those that can deal with a waiting period if something bad should come up, it happens, get use to it.
Last year I bought over 12,000 in products from them and I couldn't be a more happy customer. Price doesn't matter either if that is what you are thinking, the 3 years before that I only spent a few hundred from them and I was still treated like their number one customer. I love their employees when I am on chat or the phone and I feel that they are a good company from the way they treat me. You can tell a lot about a company by those that server you.

My experience with Newegg was the worst of my life. I spent $1,500 on a computer and I received a defective product. They were unwilling to offer any satisfactory options for replacement as the copy of my chat session shows. Avoid New Egg at all costs.

I ordered windows 7 pro from Newegg. I used econo shipping. My item was shipped (via ups) from Tennessee and went to Atlanta. First off I never got an email saying the item was shipped and never got a shipping or tracking number. 2nd I really fail to see why it had to go to Atlanta when I live in Tennessee and the truck with the item on it drives through Nashville (ups has a hub in Nashville)and Murfreesboro (which is where I live and where the package is being delivered to) to get to Atlanta. It makes no sense to me to ship it like that when all they are going to do is put it BACK on a truck to bring it BACK to Nashville to send it out for delivery. Econo shipping or not, it is a waste of time/money/manpower and it is poor customer service to ship this item in this round about way causing the delivery of the item to be longer than what is really needed. Yes econo shipping is 4-7 buisness days but I would think if your company could get the product to the customer quicker and cheaper than expected by the customer then I would think they would do it. I know the route the trucks drive cause I work for FedEx and we run the same route. To top it all off, it is being dropped off at the post office 2 miles from my house. What a horrible waste of MY time and the USPS time when UPS could just drop it off at my doorstep like they do with all my other packages!!!Instead of getting a praising review here Newegg is getting a very crappy one.
Newegg customer service used to be as were the prices. Lately they do a tigerdirect like scam where everthing comes with a rebate which we all know is hit or miss. The same with customer service is hit or miss anymore. More times than not you have to contact them 5 times for the same problem and get 5 different answers before you might get a good CSR that will handle it correctly. Since the economy has went south so has newegg in order to keep their large profits.
One of the top computer, electronics & home shopping sites I've discovered on the Internet. They offer a large, wide-ranging selection of products at excellent prices. Their order turn-around time is fast, shipping charges reasonable (when their not offering a free-shipping deal), and customer service helpful & responsive. For their best deals, always check out the open-box/refurbished/clearance/returns offerings--the prices can blow you away, if they happen to have what you happen to be looking for at that moment. If they don't..keep coming back for another look because items change daily, at least!
Great service from the whole newegg team. I get all my CPU parts here and they've always treated me right.
The deals are really ridiculous too I would never go anywhere else for parts -- also recently just got a flat screen TV from them, everything went smoothly and they were $150 cheaper than my local best buy.
Newegg is the best source for anything computer related, hands down. They always have competitive prices and their shipping is fast. I've never felt the need to pay for faster shipping because they're located relatively close to me.
They blow the brick and mortar stores out of the water with prices. So as long as you have a couple days to wait for shipping you'll always get the better deal with Newegg. I've also never had a problem with anything I've ordered from them.

This is probably the most consistently great web retailer I can think of. I've ordered countless times and the results are almost always the same. They usually have what I'm looking for, their prices are competetive, and speed of delivery is excellent.
For tech parts there is no better company online today. They long ago passed cnet and all the others. Prices are pretty good although not the cheapest but service is good end to end. I particularly like being able to pay for expedited processing.
Newegg.com is often a little bit more expensive than other online technology vendors - but I've found that you really get what you pay for. First of all, the website is top notch. Easy to use, easy to find what you need, and they let their customers post reviews of products and then do not discriminate. If it isn't a good product, you'll know before you buy it.
Shipping is fast, service is good... and they have just about everything you could imagine needing. Highly recommend.
I have used egghead for most all of my online computer needs for a few years now. They have good prices, a wide range of items for any particular product be it memory, a motherboard, or a complete system.
They have special deals that are hard to beat and free shipping on a lot of items.

I have been a Newegg customer for such a long time and never had a business ending negative experience.
They have always been excellent with the product selection and offers some of the best prices.
Shipping is fast unless you get the dreaded Newegg Egg Saver shipping.
Newegg has always met or exceeded my expectations when it comes to customer service.
The only negative points I can think of are the Egg Saver shipping, and how their RMA center is located at CA. This makes my RMA take 5 business days to reach Newegg, but I believe they do offer advanced RMAs.
Both of these points are very minor so they get 5/5 stars.
