I always like to have a look on the new look website to see if they have anything exciting. I hardly ever purchase from them but when I do..I am always disappointed with my product.
Sizing is always OFF! I can never tell how the sizing is going to be. It;s longer on the model but short on me...and I am short...way shorter than the model. I order the sizes up so it will be baggier but it just ends up being smaller than the size I actually am.
Needs to get sizing sorted out.
As for the inspire range....I have bought a few pieces for my mum and oh my lordy..they are SHORTTTTTTT!!!! They dont show the dresses on a model to show height and length...there are no details on the length of the dress so I don't even waste my money.
Customer service has always been alright. For the few times I've recieved faulty items....I've always recieved a full refund without sending the item back because I am in AU and its far too expensive
but yeah really have to learn to avoid new look. I am always disappointed. x
I used my debit card on their website. It gave an error message twice. However, the amount was deducted even though my order was not successful. It took almost two weeks for customer service to respond to my email and explain what the issue was. I got beautiful dresses to buy but my order was not successful. So sad.
The website experience is terrible. It has taken 4 attempts to purchase a coat for my wife.
We wouldn't have brought however there was 20% off - great. Went through the checkout process showed the correct amount (£39.99) and agreed to pay that amount. The Confirmation then says thank you we have debited £49.99 from your card.
That is an unauthorized amount and is unacceptable.
I tried to contact support and the email form wipes your text.
I posted on the Facebook wall - immediately removed - no response.
The products are good but let down by a shocking website.
Taking the wrong cash amount is a major oversight for a professional website that obviously cannot deal with the demand. Furthermore secure websites should all have PCI compliance to state that their websites are competent enough to deal with transactions online - this site doesn't seem competent at all.
I would say avoid the website at all costs - join the queues at the till.
Where do I even start? After ordering over 2 months ago online for the first time, the first problem occurred when I got an email telling me they had a problem delivering my item so to call up and sort that out, which I did despite it not being a chargeable number. The women on the line seemed slightly confused but we seemed to have sorted the delivery issue and it was going to be re-delivered with how to get into my apartment building, or to ring me so i could collect from them myself. Then to recieve another email the next day saying it was being sent back to the warehouse so obviously the new delivery info was never passed on and if i wanted the items i ordered i would have to re-order online, which at that point the items i wanted were out of stock!! Rung up again with another clearly incompetent memeber of staff could only offer me 25% off. Then after he told me i would recieve my refund for my order, the p&p refund came in but not for the actual item, so had to ring up AGAIN! At this point having £15 worth of phone charges and not even being able to get my items! Absolutely ridiculous. After complaining via twitter a member of staff rung me and offered me a gift voucher which i felt slightly more compensated by, but oh surprise surprise that has never turned up either. Don't waste your time on this company. Everyone seems totally and utterly incapable of doing there job.
I have always shopped at New Look, I like the sizes, the style and it doesn't break the bank!
I bought some ankle boots and they fitted fine but after a few weeks the heel became slanted and then completely gave way and it bruised my ankles. I went into the store (Bullring, Birmingham) to return them even though I had lost my receipt and I was expecting to have to argue to get some money back. They were 27.99 so not the cheapest! But I was pleasantly surprised when the cashier came back from speaking to the manager and refunded me the full amount on credit! Very pleased with the service, a lot of retail workers get very annoyed with you if you try to return things!
I ordered somethinf online and waited ages to collect in store but they didnt tell me it was not in stock they could have let me know sooner so i could go something else.it was so confusing!!
I ordered about a month ago, still waiting. I have sent numerous emails, receiving no replies. I have called, & haven't spoke with any one yet. I have finally just realized that I will not be receiving anything. I later looked at my bank statement & saw that they took about a 100$ more off my card. Still sending emails, all they can offer is an apology. I feel as if this was a scam! I don't have my order & you took more money from me than stated!!! I hope no one in the US orders from here. They can't be trusted. I would really like to report this company, working on it now.
Fin side og synes deres tøj er af god kvalitet. Deres størrelser svinger dog så meget at man kan aldrig vide sig sikker på hvilken størrelse man skal have, hvilket er en kæmpe ulempe når man som forbruger skal tage stilling til størrelsen uden at have prøvet tøjet! Selvom de "kun" skal sende det fra England, er der stadig meget lang leveringtid. Har oplevet helt op til 3 uger fra jeg bestilte til jeg fik min pakke. God ting er at de sender internationalt! Man kan få fri fragt til Danmark hvis man køber over et vist beløb.
The sizes are way too different - time of delivery was long. I love their international shipping though.
Order clothes that came very quick (ordered on sunday they came tuesday).
One item was missing...When i put the order in it said low stock... and the item did not arrive, so i worked out they didn't send it and lucky refunded me for the item without having to ask. Failed to inform me that they were not going to send that one item. I will use them again. Good website.
My online order that I needed urgently never arrived on time and when I called, the staff were unable to tell me where the package was and they couldn't give me a call back either so I had to keep waiting around and calling them. Not helpful at all.
I placed an order over a week ago and still waiting. Having tracked my order online it has been delivered and signed for by a neighbour. I have not been left a delivery note and I was waiting at home for my delivery for two day's. I have knocked on my neighbours doors who have not received my order. I called customer services who informed me that my order has Been delivered to a betting shop! I don't have a betting shop near me, I never asked for my order to be delivered anywhere else. I was asked by customer services to call back the next day as the driver is off work now and they can not help me until they can speak to the driver. I asked if they can call me back as I will be at we work, I was told that I would receive a call back in regards to my order. NO Call back, obviously I had to call back today and I was offered a refund so I can 're order the items that I wanted. But everything I wanted is out of stock and no sizes left. I asked if my order can be redirected to me, they cannot tell me so I have to call back tomorrow when the driver will be working so I can sort it out then. What is the point of having a customer service team if they cannot sort out errors made by Newlook? It does not matter if third party companies are involved you should sort this out, instead of making me call up everyday, you have taken my money so send me my order. ANNOYED AND ANGRY AS I'M GOING AWAY IN A FEW DAYS!
i went to a store in guildford to return a boot.the sales girl at the till and the store manager said that they cannot take the boots from me.it was a boot that was too heavy for me.they said that i should go to another store to return the boot.
I shop at New Look both online and in-store and have never had any problems with either and would happily recommend them. Some of the prices are a little high for the quality, but only some and it's a quick and easy stop for wardrobe basics - I normally use it with very little time available and always find something.
I placed an order on Monday and paid the extra for next day delivery. After waiting in all day the item never arrived, I was told that it had been sent to the wrong depo and would arrive the next day. After waiting a week it never arrived, and I'm still waiting for them to refund my money. Terrible.
I've bought from new look stores and online many times, without issues. However once I ordered something online and it was too big, so I took it back to my local shop and didn't receive a full refund, apparently I couldn't have all my money back. I thought this was a bit unfair as this wasn't stated when ordering! Apart from this one problem, my experiences of New Look have been positive. When I do order online, delivery is quick.
I ordered 3 items from the sale online, paid with paypal , when the items arrived they were not suitable, I took them back to the shop as I rang and explained so she said bring them back and we will issue a refund back to the card. I returned them and she said I couldn't have a refund! not anywhere on the site when you place the order does it state that should you pay by paypal you are not entitled to a refund, that is very misleading, the girl in the shop agreed with me that it was disgusting the way that New Look did not state it, so that's pretty grim for staff to say how bad New Look is!!

ordered 4 pair of shoes from the online sale. Waiting for over 3 weeks now and havent recieved anything. Contacted customer service by phone and got my money back, but I would rather have the shoes i've ordered. Called dutch postal service and they told me my parcel has not been delivered to the Netherlands at all. After this contacted royal mail (the newlook customer service told me that this company would deliver my parcel) and they could not help me because new look gave me a wrong track and trace code (starting with PAP) . Really disappointed about this, but at least they gave me back my money wich i think is a good thing.
anyone else from the Netherlands who HAS recieved their order after weeks of waiting? Because I still hope I will get my shoes someday.
Have had items delivered in unacceptable jumble sale condition. New Look assured me it was a one off. Very next order it happened again. Expensive shoes, arrived in broken and sellotaped box with all personal details of person who had returned them. Box had swear words written all over it, very unimpressed.
I am a very frequent buyer at New Look stores, and recently online. I have bought things from tops to dresses to boots to jeans and I have always found their products of good quality and good value!
I would definitely recommend this store to anyone and their help and support is outstanding- by far the best I have encountered!
Because the products are so nice, they soon go out of stock and it's sometimes hard to find something in your size, but I guess that's down to first come, first serve.
I will definitely go into a New Look store again and I will probably order off online again.
I paid a visit to Bluewater with my daughter /daughter in law and her sister. We were looking for various items for a girls night out. For the three younger members of our party. After a very nice meal at TGI's we went into the New Look store in search of shoes for daughter in law,dress for daughter and shoes for daughter in laws sister ( her
eighteenth birthday do planned for the next day), Daughter in law found some shoes beige stiletto type with rhinestone finish good fit but last pair in shop and heels were damaged with score marks in them on asking if a reduction would be feasible. Request was met with no last pair in shop. ok we won't bother then will try local branches Chatham,Gillingham. daughter in law was going to purchase matching bag but did not bother after negative on shoes.
Daughter liked a dress and we asked if she could try it on but again negative response changing rooms closed was the same member of staffs answer to request.
So we decided not to bother with any of it about £50-£70 total sales.
We had gone to shop fairly near to closing time but found responses very poor customer service attitude.
I work in a customer service based role and found the whole experience to be very negative. It is a shame that there are not negative star ratings as I would rate this experience at a minus 5 ***** .
The girls are going to try to source the items in the local branches where the staff are far more amenable and customer friendly. As is the online experience. Its no wonder the high street stores are suffering with customer service being at 0 rate.

I've always loved New Look, but the new PayPal T&Cs haven't been properly explained on their website. You might think it's easier and quicker than entering your credit card/bank details - however, with PayPal, they don't give you a refund if you return any of the items back to a store; they just put it on a gift card instead! The only way to get a full refund is to send the items back and pay for the postage.
I spent over £100 at New Look after pay day (needed something to wear on a night out and couldn't decide on a dress) so attempted to return 5 out of 6 dresses to the Hull branch...I had a VERY rude shop assistant tell me that she'd have to put the £112 on a gift card as I'd paid online via PayPal! It was only when I asked for the store manager that she mentioned I could return the items via post and get a full refund...Furthermore, her parting comment to me was (and I quote), "you should really start reading things properly next time"... Not impressed, New Look.

I ardered twice and i never had problems :D everything came perfectly on time, just the first pair of shoes i took, even though they were my number, they were way to big (soo sizing of shoes is a bit off) and i cant use them but it wasnt worth to return for the low price i paid them......with very thick socks i can use them :D so still ok :D I Just think that sometimes the prices are way too high for the quality and the item itself, but i will buy from them again :D
I ordered on 26 May and I am still waiting.
Nothing received. Asked 6 till 7 times for a reaction. Once I received a reaction that I returned my order. This is not true, because I have not received it at all.
So after asking to send it again to me, they do not give any reaction at all.
Very bad experience
I had to visit the Saltcoats branch of New Look with my teenage daughter this evening after I finished work. Despite arriving only 25 minutes prior to closing , we were not rushed at all. In fact the lady serving( i think she was the manageress), went out of her way to recommend various items and offered helpful opinions. She was extremely friendly and ensured that we left with the right item for my daughter. We will certainly shop there again and I highly recommend this store.
I bought a dress from the online shop. They have no mention that you can only return brand items for 7 days, but simply say that you can return items for 28 days, with a special mention that brand items can be returned in store as well. When I went to return one of the items in store (in Lancaster) the assistent insisted it could only be returned within 7 days, and refused to get a collegue, supervisor or check online.
So I ordered from New Look on the 16th of May for 8-10 day international delivery. I am a super impatient person so as soon as they sent me a tracking number I tried to track my package. I was unable to as the number was said to be invalid. I waited about 4-5 days just to make sure it wasn't still processing then tried to contact them through email. Both times I didn't get a response. I had read on their twitter and here about people losing their packages in the mail etc so I was kinda nervous. 8-10 business days put my package here today or tomorrow so to make sure it wasn't lost I contacted them through facebook and received a response about 30 minutes later. Apparently they are unable to track international shipments. I have never ordered internationally so I do not know if thats true but I took them for their word. The package arrived today and there was nothing wrong with it. The clothes are all nice and were SUPER cheap. They seem to be pretty well made too. All in all besides the tracking number issues and the delay in getting a hold of a customer service rep I am pleased with the company and will be ordering again. My only suggestion would be figuring out how to get international tracking numbers as it says on the package itself it was tracked so I think it is possible some how. Also, make it more clear on the website that it is faster to contact a customer service rep through their social media account than it is through email.
I applied for a job at a new look in chesterfield and managed to get an interview,i went for it.it was pretty short and straight forward .as any1 would do i answered to my best potential and kept it clean and smart as possible.and I then rang the manager to get a feedback from them guess what her response was "your schedule did not suit what we wanted" come to think of it realistically how many students work at new look ALOT. bare in mind i only mentioned me being in college for 3 days and even being able to work after college.this had nothing to do with shopping but to be fair its a really bad thing dear chesterfield store manager who interviewed on the 17th of may 2013 .i hold no hard feeling God bless :)
This is second time i order something from new look, first time was fine, arrive fast and clothes was nice, but now im waiting more than 2 weeks, but havent recived anything, Already sent them 2 emails, no response, i dont know if they dont read them or just dont care, i wont call because i dont live in uk.

Clothes are lovley but if you need something for a certain day make sure you order it 3 WEEKS BEFORE!! The delivery use to be great at newlook now theyv changed to myhermes its rubbish! Newlook took a week to dispatch my items and now when i go to track it on myhermes it says my code was not recognised???? So annoying!!!
I have shopped at New Look stores in England but my New Look in France is quite far away so when I want to get something I have to get it online. Delivery is reasonable, and takes a week maximum to get there (and that was just after New Year's to be fair). Shoe sizes are good, I was worried about getting the wrong size especially online as I would need to send back to the UK and it fitted perfectly :) And in the store in England I bought an amazing butterfly top, amazing quality for only £15 and I wear it a lot!
The only problem is they don't quite sell the same products on the UK New Look as the European one, which means quite a few tops or dresses I like, I would need an English address for. It's a shame because there is not THAT much of a difference between English and French style and therefore I do not really understand why the products can be different.
I bought a top in new look and less than 24 hours later i decided to return it as it was too small and had a slight stain on inside, I was told by the assistant that I made the stain and they would not return it, asked to see manager and she and the assistant were rude and smirked at my explanation. And accused me of again doing it, i asked if she therefore i calling me a liar, and she respondent 'no, but we didn't do it' (obviously yes them. They both were intimidating and with great attitude. I decided to leave and vow to never shop there again !
Spent c.£250 on 3 different style dresses in two sizes for an upcoming wedding. I only keep one and return the others, only to be told "Sorry, you paid by Paypal, we can only give you a gift card!!!" WHAT!!!!!
It did not state that prior to sale, I am going to open a dispute with Paypal.
I just received my first order from newlook.com and I have absolutely nothing to complain about! The clothes are very cheap, especially now that they've sale.
As I live outside of the UK, I ordered it online and my parcel was delivered in a few days! This is the fastest delivery I've ever gotten from England. I see that there has been a big fuss about their customer service, but as I haven't had to contact them, I don't have any bad experiences with that.
I recommend newlook.com to everybody, who is looking for cheap, beautiful clothes. No, it's not the best quality, but if you want super quality you can't expect to get it this cheap. It's definitely worth the money. :)
Det er så billig inde på newlook, og nogle gange kan man gør sig nogle vilde fund til vildt lave priser. Jeg er især på udkig efter sko, da jeg har så små fødder og tit under deres "teen" kategori gør jeg mig nogle fund på nogle sko som jeg sagtens kan bruge, men som jeg slet ikke vil finde andre steder til den billige samme pris. Men også kjoler og t-shirts er ekstrem billige. Tøjets kvalitet er måske ikke i top. Noget af det svare til H&M mens noget af det ligger i den virkelig "billig-lort" ende. Trods deres lave priser, kan jeg godt leve med dette. Deres leveringstid kan variere rigtig meget, nogle gange under en uge og nogle gange over en uge, men jeg har altid modtaget mine varer i den sidste ende! Fint og billig hjemmeside - kan varmt anbefales.
