Fantastic Quality!
We are so glad we found the Oakea site online. We had struggled to find 2 units that would fit our alcoves as they are a little smaller than standard. We had 1 TV unit and another small cupboard with a drawer on top. They both matched our existing oak in the room already and they are of excellent quality! Couldn't be happier!

Good furniture at excellent price
We bought a Bretagne sideboard. I called to ask a few questions before purchase and the women I spoke to answered the phone quickly and was courteous in answering my questions throughout. The on-line purchase was fine, although I received a message stating that it was not in stock after purchase, which concerned me as the site talks about having items in stock! I'm pleased to say that we didn't need to wait that long as I was called after about 4 days to say it was ready for delivery. One minor comment and item for consideration, is giving more than 24 hours notice of delivery. I left my home number when purchasing and arrived home to a voice message saying it was in and could be delivered next day but I needed to call back to confirm. I did so, but the van had already been loaded and as they had not heard back it was not going to delivered until a future date. If I'd been called a few days earlier when they knew it was coming into the store, then I could have confirmed the delivery date was fine. A small issue but just worth considering. I was told that delivery would be handed over to a 3rd party. They called me within a few days and offered a couple of delivery dates. They also called first thing on the delivery day to confirm I was home, and I was finally called when they were about 30 mins away, so overall good communication. We would recommend Oakea having had a good overall experience, and we are already planning to purchase more furniture from them (I just need to make sure I give my mobile number this time so I don't miss the delivery call!).

Oakea Ltd have amazing customer service!
I ordered 5 items of furniture from this company to complete the renovation of our bungalow, once all the building work had been completed. One item was out of stock but the company agreed to deliver all the other items (so I wasn't left with an empty lounge) in one delivery, and then deliver the final item when it became available. They were as good as their word and didn't charge me for the second delivery. I now have all my beautiful furniture in place and wouldn't hesitate to order from Oakea again in the future.

Whos got a nicenew tv stand then
Had to replace a horrid wobbly tv stand when bought new tv. Went to all the electrical shops. Not impressed. Looked on internet and found this site. Most important was we wanted wood, the right size and quality. We wanted something that looked nice and was solid, not diy put it together yourself.
Found this a Utah 2 drawer tv and its very nice, looks and feels like quality. Very good arrangements for delivery and was very well packed. We are both very happy.

Lovely well made furniture
I purchased 2 small sideboards, a tv unit and nest of tables, I am very pleased with the quality and feel it is good value for money. Free delivery was good and I could choose my delivery date. I would highly recommend Oakea.

Excellent service, excellent product
I ordered the large sideboard in the Bretagne range online, after seeing it in the warehouse in Hereford many months before, we came across it by chance really, but I'm very glad we did. I was kept informed at all times, with both friendly phone calls and e-mails. The sideboard looks wonderful in my dining room, perfect for what I wanted. The quality is very good, as was the price. I'd been looking for quite a while, so have seen many sideboards for a lot more money, but not as good quality. Great quality, price and friendly service
We had been looking for sometime to furnish our new decorated lounge with a TV unit, coffee and console tables. Up until I came across Oakea's website we had lost all hope of finding some furniture that would compliment our natural oak wooden fire mantle piece, at a sensible price. As though with most web purchasing I am not always convinced that the products you receive are not quite as they seem on the website, and due to the fact we lived in Bedfordshire, it would be a long journey just to see the furniture first hand. I called Oakea and spoke with Henrik who reassured me that we would be happy with the furniture, and if we were not when it arrived he would take it back without charge. When it arrived we could not get over the quality at the price we paid. I strongly recommend Oakea, and would come back in the future.

GREAT PRODUCT AND SERVICE
I recently purchased a wardrobe and desk from Oakea for my children's bedrooms, and found the quality to be extremely good and the prices very competitive. They were delivered to my home exactly when promised, by a very pleasant driver, who put the items together in a very quick and efficient manner. Good price/performance ratio and prompt delivery.
Yoiur prices are definetly competitive, however, I was a bit surprised why you have 2 identical websites with different prices (Oakea was cheaper than the other company which delivered the furniture).
It was also pretty disappointing that the person on your call line was not able to cleary explain which parts of the selected furniture are made of solid oak (despite the fact that your website suggests to call you and ask if in doubt). I can accept that several less important parts are made of veneer/laminate but then it has to be clearly stated. In this case the furniture was adverised to be from "most oaky" range and it gave me wrong impression that this is almos 100% solid oak furniture which was far from true.
You should improve your accessory range. For instrance, I wanted to have a wooden handle but you didn't offer it.
The good things were that the furniture was generally well built, easy to assamble and it had very good use of space (2 rows of hangers in a single wardrobe).
A suggestion for future- for certain ranges (like wardrobes) I would recommend to show also the inner dimensions.

Good service great Products!
Bought two units from them, there was a supply problem but I was kept well informed and delivery was exactly when I was told it would be. Very helpful staff and the products are well made and very well packaged.
I would definitely consider them in the future for more furniture.

Just the chairs we have been looking for!
We wanted the high back oak chairs but with soft faux leather white/cream seats, we searched all over as all that seemed readily available were the brown faux leather seats. Once I found them on Oakea Ltd I ordered them straight away! Great price too and the colour of the white/cream was perfect. The only thing was the plastic protective coasting covering the chair was difficult to remove from underneath but otherwise we love the chairs and delivery was spot on :)

Good quality service and furniture with polite helpful staff
I purchased some bedroom furniture online following a visit to their warehouse and we were greeted by people who were friendly and helpful and thus service carried on throughout. Excellent service a good shopping experience
We saw your advert in the Hereford Times. End of line oak sideboard at a vg price. Easy purchase with card over telephone. Delivery in day /slot as promised. Sideboard came up to expectation as a quality product.

high quality furniture and great value for money
We were nervous about buying this furniture at the beginning as we were unable to travel to Hereford to actually see it, we purchased 2 Utah bedside tables, dressing table, stool and mirror. We have a slightly awkward shaped room and needed the narrow bedside tables and this is the only range we could find with a matching dressing table. Placing the order was easy as was arranging delivery but the best was to come when we put it together (very straightforward). The quality is fantastic, we are delighted with it. The furniture is both impressive and understated, the former being due to the lovely curved edges and finish and the latter due to its slightly more compact size, it is exactly what we wanted. I would definitely recommend Oakea and the Utah furniture range and would definitely buy from them again.

Excellent Value, very speedy delivery
I ordered the Pine chest of drawers and bedside cabinet, was contacted within an hour to arrange delivery and was delivered the next day .

Oakea good, foreign manufacturer bad.
The order and delivery process of my furniture from Oakea were very good although the name of the firm was transformed to Stock2u sometime between order and delivery, just to throw in a little confusion. One of the items I purchased was a Somerset Single Wardrobe which required assembly. The assembly was reasonably easy until I encountered 2 rear fixing holes in the base that did not match with fixing holes in the base of the sides and the only way to complete the assembly was to use the back to keep the sides roughly at right angles to fit inside the lip of the base and secure it with the 2 front fixings which did match. This was a fault of the foreign manufacturers but detracted from the whole Oakea experience.
The wardrobe is now functioning reasonably well despite the slight forward bow in the middle of the door.

Just to let you know, we are very approachable, we are here to help and welcome any questions and comments by phone.
We have not seen this problem before in the Somerset wardrobes. If there were holes drilled in the wrong location, we would be really grateful if we could have a picture of the fault, so that this can be immediately rectified and addressed for future production.
Each component is manufactured using the same jigs, then test assembled. So holes in the wrong location are very unlikely to filter through. If this happens it is very important to us and our future customers that this is brought to our attention.

First Class
I ordered a wardrobe and drawers online. Within 10 minutes Oakea called me and confirmed that the items were in stock and that they would like to deliver the next day. They gave me a 2hr slot from 8-10a.m. and they arrived at 8.40am. The driver took all the boxes (6 of them) up the stairs to the bedroom for me, on his own and was cheerful and helpful. This is the second time I have ordered from Oakea and my first experience was also excellent. I would definitely recommend them. The furniture is sturdy and very good quality and looks exactly as it did on the website. Thank you to all the staff concerned for your prompt, efficient and friendly service.

Beautiful, great quality furniture.

Disappointment, Disrespect and Dishonesty
I ordered two sideboards to match one that I had purchased a few months previously. A few weeks after ordering I telephoned to ask when they would be delivered. I was told that the sideboards had inadvertently been sold to someone else and I would have to wait six weeks for the next delivery. After four weeks I was contacted to say they now had them in stock and could deliver them. When they arrived, one of the sideboards was an ex display item and it had a scratch on one of the doors. I telephoned and was told that they would no longer be getting this style in. I therefore asked if I could have a discount of £50. I was told absolutely no way! Because this was a matching set I had no choice but to keep the ex display cupboard with the scratched door. I think the company is mean and miserable and is dishonest to send out an ex display item without consulting with the customer beforehand. This to me is dishonest and disrespectful. I shall not want to do business with them again because they cannot be trusted.

I am very sorry you feel that you have had a bad experience.
You are right about everything you say, except that you had an ex display unit. We tried to get your sideboards to you without too much delay - The factory had stopped producing this range and we managed to get some of the last remaining units. One arrived in very poor packaging condition, and we removed to packaging to make sure we supplied you with a perfect unit. This was the conclusion.
When delivered you told us that you had spotted a scratch on the unit - it is, of course, not impossible that this could happen in transit. It was then explained that we would need a digital image, and then we would be in position to decide between us what could be done about it. Normally, we would simply replace in such a situation, but these sideboards were no longer in production, so this was not an option. So, based on the photo evidence we would have been able to assess the scratch to either have it repaired or offer you a part refund. You were not happy with this, and said you didn't want to send us a digital image. You said you would send it back on the van, which of course we accepted with no quibble. Afterwards, you decided to keep the unit, and still didn't send us an image.
Please understand, with thousands of deliveries each year, when something like this happens, we do need the image, - otherwise it would be impossible to assess the damage, and offer a reasonable solution. If no image can be provided, we are unable to make any decisions other than there is no problem.
We are not mean, miserable or dishonest, on the contrary, we gave you every opportunity to A) show us the alledged damage and be given a compensation based on this assessment or B) return for a full refund.
Again, we are really sorry you feel you have had a bad experience. Under the circumstances we really couldn't have processed your order any different - except perhaps explain to the driver why one of the sideboards was not packaged.

Fantastic service
I was delighted with the service that I received. The stock information on the website was up to date and accurate. I was advised that my order would arrive within two weeks, then to my surprise, I got a call a couple of days later to let me know it would arrive within a week!

The expected arrival date is then showing. This helps you plan for when you can expect delivery. And if you are desparate, you can always collect from our warehouse in Hereford. No Payment required until dispatch or delivery
