Top marks for service, products and delivery

I just had to contact Oakfurnitureland recently to thank them for a great customer experience.

My boyfriend and I bought two lots of furniture from them in the space of 12 months, the second lot because we were that impressed the first time around. Our first order was two bookcases, our second was bedroom furniture (mango chest of drawers and bedside tables). First off, what you get is really high quality products. They look great on the website but look so much better when you see them in front of you! Couldn't believe how beautiful the bedroom furniture was when it arrived.

When I wrote to them though, I wanted to thank the delivery people in particular because the service was superb. I can't count on my fingers the amount of times various delivery companies for other products (household appliances, workplace deliveries, etc.) have been a big let down and caused a lot of inconvenience. You really do give up! But these should take a leaf off Oakfurnitureland's book because their delivery service has been a breath of fresh air. They kept us in the loop about the delivery all the way, gave us a clear 3-hour slot and not only met it but actually beat it by coming 15 minutes early and importantly, they were courteous, professional and made the whole thing no hassle at all. Top marks. Please open a 'Great delivery service' academy...

Great product, great communications, great service!

Excellent service from showroom to delivery to after sales service. Precise time of delivery given, superb communications. Problem with one item resolved quickly with replacement delivered in 4 days. Could not ask for more and just off to buy more from them. Well done to this company.

FREE Mirror which doesnt turn up!!!!!!!!!!!!

After buying an oak tv stand, dresser, chest of 6draws and a treble wardrobe we were told we would receive a free oak mirror for spending over £1000 pounds. We were giving a delivery date and time bracket. On that day, the delivery men phoned saying they would be with us within 30mins so my boyfriend left work to go wait. But after 50mins of waiting he needed to get back to work so phoned my mum who was unaware of what we had ordered but lived around the corner so could pop down. She waited a further 5mins and the delivery men arrived and brought the boxes in and asked her to sign to confirm delivery. I then came home half a hour later to realise there was only 7 boxes not 8 and the mirror was missing. No copy of delivery note/receipt was left for me. I phoned straight away and was told they would check if the mirror was loaded on to the lorry that morning and if it came back. After 2 pointless phone calls back to us with 2members of staff phoning to say that because it was signed for we must have it!!!!! We obviously didnt. We was then told they would ring us back. They never phoned back so after 4days i emailed them and they phoned my partner again saying we had had it delivered and again they would ring back about it. This was not good enough for me so i therefore rang them back to ask was i getting the mirror or not, the guy replied yet again saying there had a signature therefore we had the mirror so no we would not get it. He said the mirror had been loaded that morning and had not came back. so clearly they must of dropped it off at the wrong house. I then asked to take this further and the manager was asked to call me back. she phoned my partner and said 1 of us should of been present at the delivery which we would of been if the delivery men was on time. she then suggested we should be carefull on who we choice to sign for our orders in which my partner said r u calling them thiefs, which she replied no. She told us at 1 point we had signed for 7 boxes which we said yes 7 boxes but there was ment to be 8 when she then said the dresser counts as 1 even tho there was 2boxes. This is where i think their error was made. she finally agreed to send us a mirror yet we still would have to pay £39 delivery fee. This service was absolutely shocking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we were suggested as liars on 4different times and my mother was basically called a thief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

since posting this review my order as been looked at again and therefore i had the correct service and the lady was very helpfull. i was refunded my £39 and offered a 2nd free mirror for the hassle which was caused. i now rate 3stars as the experience wasnt great but i can not fault the product itself as its bloody lovely stuff . If everything was deliverd fine 1st time it would of been 5stars.

Excellent service and superb product

Had lots of furniture from this company and service has been excellent. Had a fault with a door handle and emailed to ask if it was possible to get a replacement expecting to pay as it was over a year but the next morning received replacement part no charge and was amazed at the service. I was also phoned by a member of customer services to ensure I received the correct part. This is service of the highest standards and I intend to purchase more furniture as the product is of a high standard but excellent value.

Great value, service and quality

We received delivery of our furniture last Thursday. I just wanted to email to say that we literally couldn't be happier with the design, quality and finish. I spent weeks deciding what to order and from where. I looked at Conran from M&S (way too expensive), Habitat (poor quality) and John Lewis (too expensive / not good value) before ordering.

The furniture that we have had delivered looks amazing in our lounge. The delivery drivers were courteous and friendly. I know a lot of people only email when there's a problem with an order, so I just wanted to say thank you.

By far the best customer service

“Just felt we had to email you regarding our recent order and delivery .You have restored my faith in British customer services this week. Having visited your showroom Saturday 12th Jan we saw what we wanted and was told 28 days delivery. we came home to measure up to make sure everything would fit .We then decided to place our order online which was done approximately 7:30 pm. We were amazed and thrilled to receive a phone call Sunday morning to say our order would be here Wednesday 16th and that we would have a call /mail to say a time scale .Even more impressed were we when you actually did what you said and was told between 8-11 Wednesday wow! So Wednesday morning arrived your delivery drivers called to say they would be here within the hour and hey presto everything arrived packaged so well there was no chance of any damage .Needless to say credit where credit is due this is by far the best customer service we have received in I can’t tell you how long. You kept us informed from start to finish and actually did do what you said you would, very impressed. I'm now saving my pennies for more furniture and I know where I shall be going .Thank you for a fabulous service.

“Excellent service! I ordered a sideboard online on 1st Jan 13. It arrived sooner than expected. I received a phone call the next day to arrange delivery. I received an email confirming delivery and a 3 hour delivery timeslot. I also received confirmation by SMS and the delivery driver rang 30 mins before delivery to say he was on his way. From order to delivery I cannot fault this company. Friendly, courteous staff with excellent communication keeping me informed at every step of the way. Wish I had used them before!!!

A friend suggested I try Oakfurnitureland when I was looking for a new dinning table and chairs. Unable to get to one of their shops through sheer lack of time I took a chance and ordered unseen on-line, something I would NEVER normally do! Well, they certainly came up trumps. Over the moon with the quality of the product, delivery service and communication from the company. Well done, so impressed I have now ordered a new computer desk!!

Very good value for money furniture with a high level of quality

My wife and I recently purchased a number of items from the 'Rustic' range of furniture in the Leeds branch and we were thrilled with every aspect of the service we received from the company. The salesperson Jim was most helpful and friendly, the home delivery was very speedy (puts other companies to shame!) and now we have the products installed at home, we can doubly say that they are very good value for money when considering the level of quality. Thank you very much Oakfurnitureland, we know who to buy furniture from in the future!

An exceptional company to do business with. A real pleasure!

Ordered my Rivermead large oak dining unit just after Christmas by phone and it was delivered on 2nd January by 2 very friendly delivery men. From the point of ordering I have been kept regularly informed by text and phone of the delivery status and it was delieverd within the given time slot, with a friendly call from the driver, 30 mins before it arrived. I am thrilled with the size, quality and look of the unit, which really enhances my dining room and matches my other furniture. The only downside is that in order not to invalidate the guarantee we had to try to lift the heavy unit out of the box and packaging once the men had gone. Pretty tricky in a small dining room and I was lucky my husband & son were here to lift it. Perhaps delivery men should unpack and take the packaging away & that way, customers can check for faults there and then. Also, 1 of the door handles didnt quite line up with the pre-drilled holes but my handy hubby managed to sort this out! All in all, a beautiful piece of furniture which enhances our home. I am sure I will return to oakfurnitureland again in the future. Thank you

Great service and product

We ordered all our bedroom furniture from Oakfurnitureland. Furniture was delivered on time although delivery men express their doubts about us being able to get the furniture upstairs, not sure why. One wardrobe handle was a bit wobbly but when we mentioned it in the shop the shop assistant ordered a replacement to be posted and it arrived within two days which was much quicker than expected. All in all, a really good service and having experienced numerous problems with many other companies and their home delivery, Oakfurnitureland stands out with their great service
