Our order arrived today, at 8am on a very cold and frosty morning. From the Quercus Range: 2 display cabinets, a sideboard and three bedside tables. It arrived on time, with a courtesy call to let me know that the lorry was 30 minutes away which was great. The delivery drivers were simply the best that it has been my priviledge to deal with. When the lorry arrived there were cars parked in our short cul de sac that made it tricky for the lorry to get in. The chaps made no mention of this being a problem and one of them simply appeared, described what they would do and then went ahead and wheeled the furniture up the road from the lorry which was parked out of sight somewhere around the corner. It took several trips, and it was bitterly cold! The two gentlemen were an absolute credit to your company and a pleasure to do business with.
Once unpacked, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the quality and condition of the furniture matched that of the delivery - Better than expected, but just what we had hoped for! We shall certainly recommend Oak Furniture Land to our friends,family and colleagues.

We ordered 2 dining room chairs from the website and the service throughout was excellent. Within a couple of days we received a phone call offering us two choices of delivery date. Once a date was chosen we received a confirmation email with a day long time slot, to be updated. a few days later an email and a text came to firm up a 3 hour time slot for delivery again with options to change if it did not suit. On the day the phone rang at 7.45am and we were informed that our chairs would be with us in 30 to 40 minutes; at 8.15am they arrived. Delivered by a very courteous and smart driver. The chairs were very well packed so there was no possibility of them being damaged, and they were exactly as advertised. Such good service for what was in esscence a small order was a delight. We would certainly return to OakFurnitureland for our needs in the future.

Excellent service throughout the whole process. Given a delivery time between 9.30 and 12.30. Further contact on morning of delivery to say they would be with us in the next half and hour...and they were. So pleased with the quality of the bed. This is a company that not only stocks excellent quality furniture but offers this and outstanding prices. They also do not compromise on customer experience from the moment the order is placed right through to the delivery team who were delightful and a credit to the company. I shall return.
I previously ordered a Dining Table and Chairs from oakfurnitureland two and a half years ago, before they had numerous showrooms and advertised on TV. I experienced no problems.
This time I ordered a Rivermead TV and DVD Cabinet (arrived with with a number of chips to the wood), Rivermead Bookcase - was badly put together, drawers were not cut straight etc. Scroll back fabric chair - feet were scuffed at the bottom, and seat had a black mark on it, large mirror - small scratches to the wood, and the worst damaged item - Tokyo Desk £398.25.
Again the drawers had not been cut straight, the left hand top front of the drawer was split and all the wood was lifting. They came a week later with a replacement desk (I accepted a discount on the other items), and the second desk was also damaged. Before they even took it out of the box, you could see the legs were split. They took the first and second desks away with them. A week later, a third desk arrived. This time, there were a number of holes, chips, a large chip of wood missing from one of the legs etc. I fail to understand why these products are not quality checked before they go out. It is a real shame.

Well what can i say, they were fantastic from initial contact to delivery. The item arrived well ahead of the delivery and was put in the room i required by the very friendly delivery men. on un packing i found that one of the handles was damaged, i phoned customer services and a replacement arrived the next day. I can't praise this company enough and would recommend them to anyone needing good quality solid furniture.

Just taken delivery of a rustic oak (large) dresser and I have to say I am thoroughly delighted!
Firstly the order process was great - we're in what some would consider rural Scotland - delivery to here "no problem, Mrs Smith" and all within the quoted delivery charges.
Secondly the speed with which our delivery was booked in was tremendous - within 24 hours of ordering!
Then the delivery itself was really a pleasure - two lovely chaps from Glasgow, courteous, polite, informative. Kept us informed of their expected delivery time too.
And finally the quality of my lovely dresser? Fantastic and for such a competitive price too.

On searching for a new display cabinet recently we happened to see a TV advert for Oakland. Unusual for us to take notice of these adverts but as we had been looking for several months we decided to seek out Oakland at Lakeside ( not easy ) to find but we are very glad we did. The sales girl Michelle was great showing us around the store at the type of cabinets we wanted at the same time showing respect as the customer and being very friendly at the same time. The purchase was very easy and the next day the delivery company called to arrange delivery which was the only disappointment as it cannot be delivered until 17th December 2012 this is due to I think every one requiring delivery before Christmas. I have found the service in this day and age where companies think that self service tills are the way to go or reduce staff help in store by flooding new stores with staff and then reducing when the business gets going ( B & Q take note).
This is the first time I have used Oakland & providing the cabinet arrives on time & undamaged it will not be the last.

Ordered one of the new mattresses ( Cotswold posture pocket ) on 15/11/12 and we were told 14 - 28 days delivery by our local Chippenham store. On arriving home we had a call to let us know it was in stock and would be delivered on 20/11/12. The delivery service was superb with texts keeping us informed, right up to half an hour before delivery. Despite the atrocious weather the delivery team were very polite and helpful. We ordered Rustic dining table, 6 chairs and sideboard on Thursday 15th Nov from Cardiff showroom. The service was excellent and the sales man Jerome was very helpful. He did not rush us to make any hasty decisions. We received a text on Friday 16th Nov to advise a delivery date of Tuesday 20th Nov. We were kept informed of the process of delivery schedules. There was nothing more that could be done to ensure a well informed and speedy delivery. The delivery men were superb, offering advise how to assemble the dining table. They were polite and very efficient. The furniture is of excellent quality and looks fabulous.The price was superb. Thank you very for such a professional service. An excellent service from the minute we turned up at the Bristol show room. No pressure selling salesman available to answer questions then move away. Bought eight items of furniture - fantastic quality products and great service with Keith in ordering items. Delivery arranged by phone. Once confirmed received confirmation email straight away. Received further email/ texts confirming delivery date and given a three hour delivery space. To day delivery day received a phone call from delivery men confirming will be with us with the hour - well inside the delivery allocated time. At last we have found a Company that cares!! From ordering in the Leeds Store to delivery, a wonderful service, extremely high quality products (we chose the Alto range, Large and small sideboards). A total pleasure, would confidently recommend this company-no hesitation! Would also have to include, with as much praise, the delivery men, again highly professional, ringing before delivery and saying to the nearest half an hour when the delivery would be (before the delivery, you are given a delivery "slot" via text or e mail, extremely efficient!) , when the goods arrived ,were taken to the room of choice, and position of choice too! This Company are the best-in fact have ordered the nest of Coffee tables from the Alto range. We are so impressed and can genuinely HIGHLY recommend this caring company.

only on passing by that we noticed the amazing deals and quality of furniture that we had decided after being abroad for 1 year to completely furnish our house with their furniture. arrived very quickly and yes very heavy to put together. I was dissapointed that our rustic table had a very badly damaged leg which i rang to request that another leg be sent out. I had to chase this after a week as I had heard nothing even though customer service were very helpful. But did they then only ask me to send a picture so they could send the correct leg ( why was i not asked this a week before when i called) it then arrived 5 days later (waiting int total for 12 days without using a table) to which when the leg arrived it was the wrong colour and wrong size. I was so upset about this especially as we had spent over 2000 pounds in store. customer service apologised and arranged for another to be sent out which arrived 4 days later (total of 16 days) which was the correct leg. This is my only dissapointment. Other than that its beautiful good quality furniture. many thanks Faye Gordge

I ordered a sideboard from Oakfurnitureland and it was in my lounge within 4 days, the delivery staff were excellen very caring made sure the carpets in the hall were covered also put on plastic overshoes to make sure. They were very well mannered and polite.
I was so pleased with the cabinet I ordered a new dining room suite from them, again this was in my house within 4 days (caused a panic as I had not disposed of my current furniture) but all went well the delivery was on time the staff again very good. Only thing I would say is make sure you have someone strong in the house the quality of the furniture is VERY HEAVY I am still aching from moving the stuff around. But I am very very happy with me new dining room and they also gave me a free matching wall mirror as I spent more than £1000. Would recommend this company to my friends.

I took delivery last Friday of furniture I ordered from Oak Furniture Land. The 2 delivery guys, [Name] and [Name] were absolutely amazing and a credit not only to your company but to the human race! They were the most helpful and understanding guys and tried (and succeeded) with different options to enable the wardrobe to get upstairs. I have to say what actually happened was above and beyond the call of duty! I would like to say a massive thank you again to these 2 and if you do an employee of the month they both deserve it hands down.
I ordered the Tokyo range last month, very pleased with the quality despite the dressing table having a damaged drawer, the way the problem was resolved was very impressive ( replacement item received 5 days after calling!) Due to the customer service and overall quality I then ordered furniture for another 2 rooms, from the Alto and Bevel ranges. One chest had a bit of damage to it which has just been reported, so hopefully this will be resolved quickly and effeciently as was the previous occasion. Imperfections and problems happen but it is the way they are dealt with, up until now I cannot fault OFL for their customer service. I was unable to check the items within the specified timescale, I contacted them and I was quite happily given a few extra days. Keep up the good work.

Delivery, failure to turn up and damage to our house
Our delivery date was arranged and we had received telephone confirmation in the morning. 15 minutes before the end the day we received a call saying that the furniture would not be delivered. The result to me was a loss of days pay from work for no furniture with the inconvenience of having to take more annual leave to rearrange a second delivery date.
2nd delivery date 4 pieces of faulty and damaged furniture arrived along with the wrong mattress delivered- a cheaper mattress than what we had paid for!
The Milton Keynes shop said they would deliver the furniture and put it in any room we wanted but this is not the case for heavy items such as wardrobes, when they arrived with the oak furniture they said they would have to arrange another delivery date for a 4 man team to carry the furniture.
The way the furniture is packaged with the base of the wardrobe together with the main part means that the delivery staff cannot lift it due to the excess weight. The staff had to unpack the wardrobe and because of this removal of the packaging I had to sign a disclaimer saying that any damage to my house would be my fault. In the process we received damage to our wooden door and 5 chunks of wood were taken out of our wooden banister. If Oak Furniture Land had packaged the items so they could be carried I would not have had to sign a disclaimer and the damage would not have occurred because the cardboard protection.
3 rd delivery date to replace faulty items was arranged using another annual leave date. We received a call to say that the lorry had broken down and would not come. After complaining they delivered very late in the evening and this resulted in another day of lost wages.
Faulty, damaged furniture, wrong products
The wardrobe was faulty, damaged, unfinished and showed very poor workmanship with no quality control for the following reasons;
Approximately a 35 cm height crack with a very wide gap, running from the base upwards.
Another large crack 10 cm running from the base upwards.
Magnetic strips designed to keep the door closed were unscrewed and loose
Multiple holes on top where the carpenter had forgotten to fill the holes.
The worst part is the removal men could see the cracks and faults but kept quiet and hoped I would not notice until after they had gone.
The second wardrobe replacement had one side of the front door which showed panels and in particular a very dark panel, whilst the right hand door did not have the panel feature, the result is we have two odd doors which do not match.
2) Mirror- large cracks in two places
3)White filler very visible at regular intervals on oak bed frame, a large chunk of wood missing and a split.
An engineer was sent to repair several pieces of furniture, the result another day off lost pay through having to take time off work!
4)Scratches on a chest of draws- repaired by an engineer.
5) The wrong mattress was delivered, customer service said the mattress was no longer available due to a change in stock, the result Is we have had to accept a replacement mattress we did not want. The worst part was that they tore off the label to hope that we would not be able to recognise that it was the wrong one and a cheaper mattress than what we had paid for.
The furniture is of poor quality and is not due to transportation damage but workmanship.
Poor customer Service
We cooperated at every opportunity sending photographs and video footage of the damage a shame customer service did not do the same. People failed to call when promised- both the delivery team and the after care service. On repeated occasions I have not been able to get through at all to customer service for over a week and we have received repeated lies and excuses from staff.
1) 4 days of lost pay through taking annual leave for failed delivery, replacements and engineers. Expense of making no end of calls to customer service, sending photographs, videos and writing letters.
2) Damage to the house
3) 8 weeks sleeping on the floor without a bed!
3) After writing to a senior member of the management team and explaining that we will be sharing our experiences with others by uploading videos, photographs and an account of this online, we finally got the problems resolved. We were offered all of our money back by returning the furniture or offered a gesture of goodwill. We went for the gesture of goodwill but this by no means covers the loss of annual leave days, damage to the house, stress or the major inconvenience caused by Oak Furniture Land and we still have a wardrobe without matching doors. Even with the gesture we spent a considerable amount of time of chasing this up as at one stage it seemed like an invisible offer.
1) Stay away, do not purchase anything from Oakfurniture land
2) If you do purchase don’t pay in full/ upfront as we did. Put it on a credit card as you have more rights if there are problems.
3) If you are expecting goods check the items before they get in your house and refuse delivery immediately if there are faults because it puts you into a stronger position and you are more likely to get a replacement. If the furniture enters your house faulty they will send out engineers to do repairs.
4) Take video footage and photos of the damage and act promptly
“We have just received the 7 items of furniture we ordered from our local oakfurnitureland store (Tamworth) earlier than expected. The communication has been fantastic throughout and we applaud you for this alone. Our new furniture was delivered by your very helpful and cheerful operatives with a great can do attitude. The packaging of all our items was brilliant with attention to detail throughout, took us a while to un package it all but was great to reveal our un damaged outstanding items. We would just like to say a very big thank you for making the whole experience from buying your products to the end results. We are very very pleased and have already recommended you to our friends. A great job and well done we will certainly be buying from you again. Please keep up the good work.”
“We wish we had found you sooner! In our innocence we ordered a dining table from another company. After nine weeks it still had not been delivered though they had taken our money. We cancelled our order and arranged for a refund.
Last Saturday (20/10/12) we found Oak Furniture Land's Bristol showroom. We ordered an excellent table at the same price as the other company. It has been delivered today (24/10/12) at the time promised. Superb service, high quality table at a very competitive price. Thank you very much
