I find Ocado to be too pricey for a general shop for beans, milk, bread etc but I do a bulk shop about once a month or so for the vegan goods they stock that my local supermarket does not.
I have never had a problem with items not being in stock or substitutes being made. I usually need my deliveries at obscure times due to me being an international spy. Ocado always manage to get me my bowl of porridge and pint of coffee despite the constant foul weather and savages that I live with.
The drivers are always very polite and professional and I cannot fault any of them that have visited. They always offer to bring the bags into my kitchen and recycle any others.
I wish the delivery charges were not so astronomical however and I think a few of the store cupboard essentials could be more reasonably priced, these are the only reason I am not doing my weekly shop with them.
After seeing a dinner set in BHS at £60, we went online to see if we could get it cheaper. And Ocado was! More than every single retailer online! So we bought two of them. I browsed their food goodies to find they stock items I struggle to find in other places such as yeast free bread and salted caramel chocolate. Delivery was prompt driver friendly and the bags better quality than other places, and we could check the status of the delivery online.
I'd say this was a very nice experience. stress free and much classier than other places. 10/10 we will definately use them again.
I love ocado and it's by far my favorite grocery delivery service. The people are always friendly and helpful. If I had one negative it would be that your potatoes are always awful not matter which make I order, especially your chipping ones - if you could work on that I would be perfect!
Having used ocado for the first time myself last week, as per the recommendation of a family member who sometimes uses Ocado, I was extremely impressed with their delivery, and customer service.
The driver called when he was on his way, called and asked if I would like early delivery, and although one item was missing (a 65p tub of Elmlea Single Cream) I was immediately reimbursed by their Customer Service Team
Not sure why but they asked for delivery in Ealing Broadway and for an order of £100 more than £10. Before that the delivery was free because I always order for more than £75.
I have Tesco and M&S very close so... with the delivery money I got an trolley and here we go... Never again Ocado!
Updates: after the lovely message Ocado gave me bellow, I have send them an email and this is the only thing received so far (after 5 days)
More updates: Seems like my account was set as company one, added a star as they called me Friday evening. Cheers, I will update more after another order, maybe add a new star... later: new order, late evening delivery, thx Ocado
First shop and was so impressed. Everything on my list was available, easy site to work around. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Plenty of deals and offers meant I saved £88 and had £25 off for first shop. I could book delivery times by the hour at a reasonable charge and received emails regularly including receipt. I was messaged to remind me when the delivery was arriving and it arrived bang on time despite the storm! Delivery man very friendly and food very fresh. Helpful booklet on tips of how to use their site quickly. Will definitely shop with Ocado from now on sorry Asda
I think Ocado is the best it has great offers and the choice is vast so you are not stuck for ideas .Love the service the food arrives fresh and hasn't been under supermarket lights withering up and being mauled by shoppers..Everything is kept fresh and yes like everywhere else you might get the odd minor blip but when you weigh it up then its nothing compared to some of the disasters I have had at other online delivery companys..Shopping should be easy without pain and that's what Ocado provide..
Excellent services. Drivers prompt and polite. Customer service fab if you ever need to ask for refund. The only reason for not giving 5 stars is I feel they are taking the mick for christmas deliveries. making customers who pay monthly for weekly deliveries pay extra for that week is very unfair and also more than doubling the min order value is a bit much.
Did my first shop with OCADO and shopping was due to be delivered yesterday. Shopping never arrived as I need to prove my identity to buy baby milk and baby food. How ridiculous I now have to pack up my babies both of which are fostered to take them to the supermarket to purchase some milk as OCADO won't deliver. Bloody shambles
Shop weekly with ocado and they rarely let me down issues of quality are dealt with very peomptly And there are rarely substitutions or items missing. Ive been usong them since they cMe to this are overt wo years ago, occassionaly returning to other home deliveries but always returning
Switched to Ocado after a series of disasters and lies from TESCO and I have never for one second regretted it. Like all delivery services there are so many variables that can go wrong, some they can control and some they can't. Either way when they have got it wrong (and it's only a handful of times in over 300 deliveries) they listen to you, apologise and put things right. The little touches are clever too, you actually feel valued as a customer when you get a free (and decent) bottle of wine on your "shopping with Ocado anniversary". Price wise they aren't that much more expensive and the delivery pass pays for itself.
I've used Ocado for many years (probably from the start) and I have never been let down or disappointed. They e-mail you your receipt in the morning, before delivering, so should something be out of stock / not subbed then you have enough notice to head out and buy it yourself. They text you to remind you of your delivery - and what driver / van to expect! Due to their warehouse set-up (rather than store), once you've placed an order they reserve your items for you so far less chance of things missing. Can count on one hand the number of subs I've had over the years. They price match with another supermarket but I've actually found them cheaper. Their own brand food is good but the Waitrose lines are even better. Bottom line - if Ocado say they can do it then they are unlikely to let you down!
I've tried every food delivery company in the area and Ocado have simply been awesome. Ability to pick an hour slot = awesome, they're iphone apps = awesome, freshness promise = awesome, next to no substitutions in 2 years as a customer = awesome, No quibble refund for occasional damaged item = Awesome.
Love them, would never change, you pay for the service and quality you receive!
I have been using Ocado now for about 2 months......switched to them after to many incidents with ASDA, Sainsbury's etc not delivering all the things I had ordered. Like coffee for instance....instead of sending another kind the chose to not send any. They just don't do substitutions......So far I have gotten everything I have ordered from Ocado and the drivers are very polite and courteous, they even call if they can deliver early. Its really to bad we will be moving to North Wales in the Spring because we will surely miss shopping with Ocado....they are fantastic!!!!!!
I believe I have tried every supermarket delivery service there is, and I have to say Ocado is the best there is. There has only ever been one occasion to substitute an item and I was sent an item of higher quality. The drivers are always on time, courteous and on the occasions that I have been physically unable to put my shopping away, they have actually packed my shopping away for me. This has been much to the surprise of my husband when he comes home. I cannot rate them highly enough.
Ocado are fantastic. I've been using them weekly for a long time now and I've never had a bad driver - they have all been friendly, helpful and courteous. The times when there have been substitutions are rare, and the subs are always sensible (unlike another online grocery store!). On the odd occasion I've requested a refund, this has been hassle-free. I love getting the occasional free sample, too. Finally, their iPad app is brilliant, which makes the weekly shop so much easier to arrange. I've just signed up for a SmartPass as I'm more than happy to commit to using them for another full year.
