The Grinch that ruined Christmas

Ordered Dr. Dre headphones for Christmas present from them took more than two weeks to arrive . When they came they were faulty.

Very disappointing.

Asked for a replacement several times by phone and email. Finally got
pre-paid envelope so I can send product back.

Have yet to receive replacement.

So I asked for a refund. Received an email saying that my replacement item was shipped.

Bare in mind I only live an hour away from Portsmouth, they still have not
arrived.

Hence the saying if it is to good to be true it usually is.




Still waiting.

10 days, no communication, no order....

I ordered 4 X-mini speaker pods over 10 days ago. After 2 days they sent me a mail telling me it was being picked from the warehouse, and would be dispatched within another 2 days (and I would hear from them). I have heard nothing back from them, their phone number does not work and says some bull about snow problems from Christmas! I've sent several emails and no response. The person who runs this company should be banned from trading - he's essentially stolen my money as things stand. DON'T USE THEM!

USE AT YOUR PERIL

After paying for a pair of Sennheister px200ii's I waited the obligatory week for the product to be delivered. When it didn't show I sent an email on 7 days politely informing them it wasn't here. Then the next day after no response or update I sent another. Then the next day I sent another, and left a voicemail hoping my order number would come up if I bombarded them with different methods of contact.

Then I looked up a couple of websites showing reviews of this site - and got a little scared. So all I did was email them once more with the subject title as NEED RESPONSE OR WILL CONTACT BANK AND TRADING STANDARDS and stated that I wanted my (authentic not fake) sennheiser headphones by saturday or i'd take action... strangely I got an email back within 14 minutes stating that apparently their supplier had proved to be stocking them with fake goods and they were getting some of the real stuff in 5 days, could I wait that long or want a refund? Definitely a refund please. Then it took nearly a day to get that after threatening them with a deadline yet again.

My advice is not to use this website, seems like they cash your money straight away, either dont deliver anything after ignoring your calls or send you fake goods. My opinion is that these 5 star reviews are fake too, especially after reading some of them! Nice try though.
If you are trying to get your money back to no avail just keep on at them every single day with the threat of legal action, and you'll soon get heard. If you don't, then use legal action, its what the law is there for - to stop cowboys like this ripping unsuspecting people off.

Never order from this company

I orderd i phone case on the 28of january,after 14days waiting i send few e-mails and got a riplay ''it's on its way''.i never receved anything up to now for long dissapontment 24 days waitin.
i red somewhere i can get refund from my card company,but not sure yet.
so never order anyting from this place.
there is a phone number in the OddsAndPods website,try that number it doesnt work.the have wrong phone number in there website,

Theft !!!!

Ordered headphones on the 28th Jan and received 2 emails the following day stating goods had been despatched. 10 days later after nothing turned up i tried to contact ODDS AND SODS via email and no reply so i tried the number listed several times only to get the answerphone apologising for the delays which had been caused by the snow. We have not had snow for 6 weeks and to leave the same answerphone message shows just how incompetant they are.
Having read all the negative press it would be impossible to be yhis incompetant and so they must be crooks.
I will get my money back from the credit card company after 28 days have elapsed and will be reporting them to the office of fair trading as well as trading standards.

Don't get mad, get even, it's simple!

My order too has not 'yet' arrived and had no response from the company. Rather than get mad about it, here's some simple generic advice:

1. If you paid on Visa Credit card and order was over £100 section 75 of the consumer credit act states that both the retailer and your credit card company are liable to resolve the issue, they can arrange a full refund for you. http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/publications/ombudsman-news/31/creditcards-31.htm

2. If you paid on Visa Debit, Visa Credit and your order was under £100 ask your bank for a Visa Chargeback form, this is part of Visa’s internal rules rather than a legal requirement but still works, so you get your money back.

3. Let Trading standards know, they have the power to order companies to cease trading http://www.tradingstandards.gov.uk/advice/index.cfm Be sure to build your case on false advertising, misrepresentation, anything else which is contraversial to the contractual agreement or advertisment. Make sure you read the small print too to be sure your in the right.

4. Write bad but honest reviews, this will discourage potential buyers reducing their sales profit. If you also have a good experiance, it's only fair you write a good review too!

5. Follow their internal complaints procedure, in the event you are not liable for Visas protection, then the small claims court is a fairly simple process to follow, if sucessful they will have to pay back all your legal costs too! I advise you use your own e-mail account rather than their online form so you have a record of your communication in sent box. ;)

Anyhow like I say, no point getting emotional and post crazy comments about all the people in press blah blah, I know kung fu blah, simply give them a chance to put the problem right, then pick your options from above. As It's only been just over a week for me now, In the meantime my Dads 65th birthday is on the 12th Feb, hope I don't have to dissapoint him but If I get my order soon I will update this review and score to reflect that.

Counterfeit goods and unacceptable lack of refund

I ordered sennheiser px200-ii headphones in early January and received them only a little later from the suggested delivery date. Upon opening I was suspicious given the poor finishing of the product and the very woolly bass sound. After a few days investigation I determined the items were counterfeit through the following:

1. The plastic finishing was jagged and the plastic itself was shiny and cheap looking - on the genuine headphones it is finished smoothly and is slightly textured to the touch and more matt looking.
2. The metal hinges were brassy in colour - on the genuine headphones they are silver in colour.
3. The screw just above the ear pieces on the arms of the headphones was flush with the plastic - on the genuine headphones it is inset.

That was in addition to the sound quality being very poor. I since ordered a genuine pair direct from sennheiser to check against and my investigation was correct.

I contacted Odds and Pods who advised me that they ordered from a bad supplier and could send a new pair out to replace my "incorrect model" or give me a refund if I send them back. I contacted consumer direct who told me I should send them back with tracking, so I did using recorded delivery. They were received by Odds and Pods on Friday 4th Feb. However, on Monday 7th Feb after following up my refund, Odds and Pods have implied they don't yet have them as they have asked me to send them in again.

I have replied again and got no response so have asked google to mediate the refund (having paid through google checkout).

Although there seem to be some good stories about this odds and pods, and I don't doubt that they sell some genuine items at good prices, I would advise against buying from them due to their poor quality control (giving them the benefit of the doubt that they did indeed order from a dodgy supplier), and even worse customer service. I hope I get my money back and will never order from them again!

UPDATE - just received a mail from google stating they no longer allow this seller to use google checkout.

do not use this company have been waiting 2 weeks still no goods no replies to emails and they dont answer calls FAKE SITE !!!!,
if you have paid by debit card or electron you can still get your money back by asking your bank for a CHARGEBACK, its the same as protection using a credit but the banks wont tell you, you will have to ask for it at least you will get your money back also it will help shut the site down

DONT DO IT!!!!!

Do yourself a favour, DO NOT THIS SITE, you will end up with either nothing, or a tacky fake.

Dont try to rationalise that the good review justify buying from them, and certainly dont let the low prices fool you

Steer very clear of this bogus operation.

Everything went as agreed. The DVD recorder which I ordered arrived when they said it would. Good quality equipment too, and a very keen price

CON ARTISTS!!!

I received what was supposed to be Sony earphones but they seem to be Phony earphones. Fortunately I am in the electronics industry so spotting a knock off is a lot easier. The sound is hollow and you will get better sounding earphones from a Xmas cracker.

I have emailed Odds and Pods 5 times in the space of a week and no one has bothered to respond.

Not sure how companies like this can trade legally???

Great Service and price!!

Ordered ipig for my daughter early December and started to get a bit worried after nothing had arrived after 2 weeks. This was no different to lot's of other orders with different companies due to snow and post office back log etc though.

I emailed Mike via the complaint link on their site and got an almost immediate response that he would investigate followed by another email with tracking number. Item arrived a couple of days later and it's fantastic, great quality and amazing sound...just in time for christmas!

Unforetunately the ipig stopped working a few days after christmas and I emailed Mike. I explained I had thrown all the packaging away but he said to send back and agreed to replace without any quibble.

My daughter now has a lovely shiny new ipig - great service from Mike and odds and pods and I'd definately buy from them again.

If only all companies were so keen to provide such a great service!!

I received 4 sets of headphones 3 weeks late after numerous emails chasing them, when they arrived they where cheap copies from China.I was told they would send out replacement sets. After emailing many times and getting no reply i contacted the manufacturer who told me to send back and demand a refund and if no reply comes back to send all pictures and corresponding emails to them. I will not hold my breath, it still amazes me how people can get away with ripping people off. I am trying to get money back through credit card company

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

ordered headphones, they took 24 days to arrive. turned out they were the wrong headphones. been emailing and leaving messages for about 2 weeks still no reply!

bad service with nothing getting delivred

I ordered a pair of headphones from this site, all seemed ok until one week after they where supposed to be sent, they did not arrive, after sending a number of emails to them I revived a message saying they had been sent and if I would like another pair sent instead to which I replied yes, after receiving a message from them saying they have been sent, I have waited another 7 days and till no product, I have since found a site with 20 pages of complaints about this site all saying the same thing, I would say avoid this site like the plague as you will be very disappointed

Arrived quickly and at a good price

The JBL speaker I ordered arrived very quickly and had free postage.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS

Order placed, money taken no goods delivered. They will ignore your emails and your phone calls. Presently trying to get my money back via my credit card company. Save yourself a lot of grief and avoid them at all costs.

Quick update. My money has now been returned, so I am a lot happier. Interestingly enough, these guys actually emailed me after my posting here (this could have been a coincidence,but who can know).

While I am happy that my money has been returned I still couldn't in all honesty recommend them, it was a poor and very anxious experience.

Good Product with good service and comms

Had a small problem with delivery before Xmas, but a email to
Odds&Pods had it resent and arrived OK.

No Problems At All With My Order

This was my first order with oddsandpods so I ordered just the HTC leather pouch I wanted. It arrived 3 days later (midweek). Im very happy with the service and will no be going back to order the dual desktop charger and battery I also want.

Delivered as promised

Bought Sennheiser head phones from Odds and Pods on 19/01/2011. Received email confirming order immediately and shortly thereafter two identical emails confirming order was being dispatched and should arrive within 7 days. Money was taken from my CC.

Chased on 26/01/2011 as nothing had arrived by then. Almost immediately got an email from "Mike" apologizing and saying he would follow this up with Royal Mail. My partner had ordered from them separately on the same day and chased them a day later. She got the exact same email, right down to typos and line feeds...

A day later I found all these bad ratings mentioning undelivered goods and unresponsive customer care, so I did some research into this company (owner, previous associations etc.). But not rating their current setup here.

Chased again yesterday, 27/01/2011, but did not receive a reply this time.

Today, 28/01/2011, the ordered goods arrived. They were delivered by Parcelforce and are what I bought. Same with my partner.

My rating therefore 4 stars: delivered as ordered, best price found anywhere, only delivery slightly later than up to 7 days as advised

One week delivery

Customer service is slow but goods delivered within 5 working days! Dont know why I worried so much!

Ordered, money taken, no delivery, no responses, still waiting, this is theft in my opinion

On the 4/12/2010 I ordered a Belkin Tunebase FM II Transmitter, which was acknowledged and the money charged to my card. Several emails on different dates explaining my order had been passed to the warehouse for picking and despatch.Despatch was confirmed on 9/12/2010. Waited a week or so, no delivery. I emailed their questions email address many times no response, I called their phone number, never answered so left mumerous messages, again no response.
Finally got a response on 17/1/2011 explaining they had been chasing Royal Mail and they had no more stock at the price paid.
This company is a complete and utter shamples with no idea of how to run a business and provide any form of customer support.
Never again will I deal with this outfit.
As of 26/1/2011 I am still waiting for confirmation that I have been refunded.

Great Prices and very helpfull

Oddsandpods were very helpful when I emailed them for some advise on a remote control helicopter for my boy. They answered al my questions and because I saw the free postage offer on Google I bought the S006 Alloy Shark Helicopter.

Delivery took three days and it came well packaged with Royal mail. The helicopter is a hit with my son.

AVOID BUYING ANYTHING FROM odds and pods

05/1/11: ordered headphones to the value of 59 pounds.
05/1/11: goods supposed to have been dispatched
07/1/11: money taken from account
17/1/11: posted complaint about non-arrival on their website
24/1/11: still not received either a reply or goods.
10/2/11: received counterfeit Sennheisser h/phones
15/2/11: Discovered that manufacturers are taking legal action over supply of fake goods.

Conclusion: crooked.

Money taken then nothing...

Ordered a pair of Apple headphones on 15/12/10. They took my money on the 17th and have heard nothing since despite repeated attempts to contact them. Poor effort - do not trust...

Company eventually started replying to emails on Jan 24th, and I am now in possession of my order, so they came good in the end. Shame it took so long to get sorted though.

Paid for some "genuine" apple in ear remote headphones. Took two weeks to arrive and are fake Chinese copies. No response from customer care. Absolutely avoid.

The best price for my iHome Speaker and fast delivery

I found oddsandpods on the google products search offering the iHome speaker my son wanted for his birthday. It was the cheapest by £5 and had free postage.

I ordered this Tuesday and it arrived Friday. For a free postage option I am very please. I know my son will love this on his birthday this Sunday.

I'll defintely use this website again. Need a new SD card so expect my order next week.

Headphones arrived in 2 days. Excellent

Excellent Service. I ordered from oddsandpods on Wednesday morning and my new Sony MDR-EX77 headphones arrived today (friday). I am not one to normally bother with reviews but it seems this site has had some bad press over the past month. I did point this review site out to them and it seems the Christmas rush and bad weather in December meant a few peoples orders were delayed. They seem to have resolved any issues now though.

Item finally received 1 month late!

I ordered my Gorillapod on the 9th December after sending numerous emails and leaving messages on the answer machine this company have. I finally received the item today. To say I am releaved is an under statement, the item is in good condition and is exactly what I ordered however I definitely won't be using this company again or reccomending them to anyone. Any company that doesn't register legitimate details ie, address, contact number, company owners name needs to be avoided at all costs!!This is the second company I have had problems with when ordering online and I honestly believe that the web providers need to be named and shamed for letting such companies set up these cowboy operations, they should protect the consumer by making sure that a correct address, contact number and company owners name are registered when any website is set up otherwise people will keep getting ripped off its so frustrating and something really needs to be done about it. Anyway good luck to all of you that are still waiting for items or refunds.

BEEN 19 DAYS AND NOTHING ARRIVED... NO COMMUNICATION WHAT SO EVER!!

I ordered my product before christmas and as iam writing this now nothing came...Their number is fake i think as they never pick up and always goes to voicemail.. Nt even PM is not that busy! Money taken out long time back.. and emailed them 3 times...NO reply... Iam gonna go to my bank to take my money back! AVOID THESE FAKE PEOPLE!

INSTANT PAYMENT, NO COMMUNICATION, NO RESPONSE, NO ITEM!

I was looking for some Dr. Dre Solo HD headphones and searched online, odds and pods was the cheapest by far, read some reviews about them and they seemed pretty genuine!

Went and ordered my headphones on the 29th of Dec, got an instant email from them saying thanks for my order and that I would hear from them within 2 working days about my order. It will be 2 WEEKS since my order tomorrow and I have not heard a single thing from them, regardless of the fact I have contacted them 4 times now, two emails, one phonecall and a complaint and I have still heard nothing! I am contacting trading standards and my bank in order to get the payment back, if no joy then i will be contacting the authorities! This a disgraceful way to run a business and I recommend everyone else to pay that little bit extra and get the kind of customer service that you deserve not no service at all which you will experience at the hands of this cowboy operation!

No communication! Do not order from Odds & Pods!

Wish I had found this site before ordering from this company. Ordered at the beginning of December, arrived Jan 8th. And it was tracked, so it was only sent after New Year, despite the company telling me that it had been dispatched. No responses to my emails. RUBBISH COMPANY. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM.

Only wished i had visited this site before ordering. Ordered 16th Dec, Despatched?? 17th Dec Still not received. Put it down to severe weather conditions, but this is beyond a joke, Cannot contact; no response from them. Please DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY (its and insult to companys to call this one) Will Contact trading standards Monday to enquire if they have heard of ODDSANDPODS.CO.UK, I Suspect they will have. Google their name and see some of the Reviews, TOTALLY RUBBISH, Wish i had researched them to begin with, Not a mistake i am likely to make again.

Utter Rubbish, Liars, theifs are just a few of the words that enter my head,

I ordered stuff on the 13th of December, I have tried contacting them over 10 times and still no one gets back to me.

The stuff I ordered was xmas presents, so as you can imagine I look loike a right xxxxxxx, my girfriend actually said did you really order the stuff

They contacted me before xmas and promised the stuff would be here for xmas, so I didnt go out and replace the presents. I will never buy anything from them every again or from any company who does not divulge their full address, ie a PO Box number.

Probably just aswell as im in portsmouth on Monday. Does anyone know their full address ?


UPDATE !!!!

i recieved my items 1 month and 1 week late. I wouldnt use them again..... a week late yes I can forgive, but not that amount time.

no product no refund!!!!!!

I ordered Jabra Headset 04.12.2010, they sent confirmation but they not product!!! They ignore your phone calls and left voice messages, they do not call you back, only once on 17.12.2010 'no surname' Mike wanted to send me different product, when I did not accept his offer and cancelled the order by e-mail - that was it - no response since then, no product, no money back!!!! is 08.01.2011 I reported them but it is a loooong way, keep away from this fraudulent 'company'.
