If I had read the revires before I would not dare to go to this fraud site. They charged my credit card twice without authorisation and without an actual booking. In total 2500 gpb. Their customer service is horrible. You are lucky to get through to an actual person in half an hour. Once you get through they are un helpful and rude. Took me 3 calls to get them agree on their mistake qothout an apology of course and now I need to wait 15 days to get my money back. Stay away
Made a business class reservation to Latin America. Return flight times changed but no notification from Opodo. Also problem with check in- Fliight operated by Iberia but had a LAN ticket. Neither airline wanted to check me in!!! Emailed Opodo but no response. Awful organisation. Will never use them again. Expedia are a dream by comparison.. At least they look after their customers....
I would never, ever buy a airplane ticket with Opodo. I bought the ticket for 768.93EUR. Unfortunately I had to cancel my flight. All I manage to recover from my honest worked money was around 53EUR. In order to recover the 53EUR I had to pay another 50EUR. So at the end of the day I lost 765EUR. When you ask your money back they will tell you that you should've click on a obscure link on an email instead of saying it plain that you will lose your money if you have to cancel your flight. Is the only time when I make a transaction on internet and I lose almost 100%of my money. I lost before maybe a 10, maybe 15%, but never all mu honestly worked money. Good luck with your "business" Opodo.
Flying out to a wedding on May 3rd and guess what... our flight was cancelled and Opodo booked as another flight that was 7 hours later!! We have to wait in Paris for 7 hrs whereas we booked it specifically for only a 1 hour wait... Obviously we will miss the wedding!
Now I have been on the phone for the last 30 mins trying to call their customer service line which costs .10 cents a minute!!!
All I hear is their terrible hold music... which I can describe as being even more painful than waiting and knowing my money is going down the drain.
You suck Opodo... Never using you ever again.
I booked the flight ticket through opodo and the flight company charged me already, however opodo charged me 25 pounds in the next day with any explanation. It seems like a service charge for booking the ticket!!! 25 Pounds service fee??? just for booking ticket online? Isn't it ridiculous???!!! Moreover, they did not noticed me about the service charge when I was about to checkout for the ticket on their website!!!!!!!!
I also booked a flight through Opodo to discover that my booking had been requested and not confirmed however that I should hear within 24 hours as to whether it was in fact confirmed. After a few days and no news I was a little anxious. I decided to send an email using there email contact form but with no reply I phoned them. The service was extremely rude and unhelpful. They were unable to supply me on any information of whether there were any problems with my details or flight confirmation but suggested that I should wait to receive a confirmation email over the next few days. My flight was due to following week so I was not to satisfied with this suggestion. After waiting a few more days I received an email unconfirming my flight and that they were unable to provide the details as to why. Luckily I went onto the airline website and managed to book the exact same tickets for 20 pounds cheaper. Complete waste of time!
I booked a flight through opodo thinking that if a flight has been advertised and they let you book it, give you card details etc then you have bought the flight....NOT TRUE it seems. Opodo offer cheap flights to draw you in, they then try to get the airline to accept your booking afterwards. In my case , I booked a flight on Thursday and received an email saying thank you for your booking request, however your flight it unconfirmed and easyjet will confirm it after 24 hours or not. My flight was for Monday so I was anxious to know if it was actually going to be confirmed. I suspected it wouldn't be as I got a good deal and easyjet were charging way more in their site. I called opodo, they don't have a clue, told me to call their partners, edreams, they had less of a clue. Finally talked to a decent person at opodo called Chelsea who told me that easyjet hadn't confirmed and that I would have to wait until Saturday. In the meantime I can't book another flight as this booking may be going through. Obviously I got an email this morning saying my booking was unconfirmed and they cannot tell me why. So that's that, two days of waiting, lots of money on phone calls and now I have to buy another flight at premium last minute prices, This company is a sham, they advertise flights that they don't actually have. Do not be fooled by this company, it cost me more money and more stress. I think this activity is fraudulent, I will wait to see of I get refunded fully, I suspect there will be more phone calls. AVOID using
Flights from Jersey in the Channel Islands got cancelled this morning due to bad weather conditions, lots of snow and blizzard like conditions, this meant my flight to London and ongoing flight connection to Montreal also have been disrupted. Have tried all morning to get through to Opodo but no one answers the phone...why have a customer service help line when no one bothers to speak to you. Still awaiting to hear back from them for a refund on flights or at least an option to amend. don't think I will be using them again!!
Been trying for 5 days now to speak or even have an email conversation. They have my money and there's no way of getting in contact with them to sort this out!! I will never use them again. Be aware they don't know the differance between a debit and credit card so card you an extra Tenner!!!!

Debited account £640 no ticket no refund taking them to fast track small claims court Had to buy ticket direct from Airline again another £650 . Rude arrogant staff, who turn there backs on customers. Trained to fight fires from customers by bullying.

Opodo are lying thieves. They made a mistake with my wife's reservations, and not only are they refusing to acknowledge it, apologize and rectify it, they're saying it's her fault and want £240 to change it!!!! £150 of which is an 'administration charge' but they don't seem to mind keeping us on hold. I'm so mad I can hardly type. To be honest I don't care who's fault it is. You want to charge a working person £240 for a couple mouse clicks? Don't talk to me about terms and conditions either, that doesn't make it right, it's a simple thing to change and it would be the decent thing to do. We don't spend our hard earned money on your flights just to be treated like this. Their computer system is full of errors, and quite frankly so are their brains. We obviously won't be doing business with them again, how could we when we can not only not trust them to get it right, but not fix it when they get it wrong?
Opodo is the worst airline booking search engine I have experienced. 1. Horrible things can go wrong. 2. Extremely bad customer service. 3. Lies. 4. Poor technology.
See my full review here with pictures.
I requested a return flight to Manila. I was offered a flight at a really good price. The flight was with a crappy airline and involved a 12 hour stop-over and I figured that was the reason it was so cheap ($200 than other airlines) By the time I checked out some other sites that offer had expired. Tried to bring it back but it was no longer available. A few minutes later it was back so I quickly took it not wanting to lose it again. Turns out it was actually only a one way flight despite my requesting a return ticket. Luckily (or so I thought) I had taken out (paid for) cancellation insurance. Except when I tried to use it they informed me that this only applied to their own 25 pounds cancellation fee and that unfortunately the airline's own policy (no cancellations allowed) would apply (basically read the effing small print lol too effing bad.) So I was stuck with the ticket and ended up having to buy an expensive single flight back so I would lose all my money. Now the day before I am due to fly they tell me the second leg of my flight will not leave until 2AM. What a crock of shit this is. Please! Do not use these crooks! It is too late for me to fight them but I promise on my return I will be looking for a lawyer.
I just booked a flight with Opodo and they tried to charge me a staggering £64 for paying by credit card. I managed to avoid the ridiculous charge by paying with debit card, but obviously I may be in trouble if Opodo or British Airways or Lan Chile goes bust before I take the flights. It's unfair that they would be force me to pay such a huge amount for a transaction that probably costs them £0.10 or £1. Why would they do that? Are they trying to cover themselves against refunds on cancellations? It's not promsing.
The reason the charge was so high is it was >£3000 worth of flights. If you were paying for a £500 flight by credit card it would be "only" £10. What a joke.
I have used opodo many times before and never had a problem with them in terms of email delivery of what I ordered, and the airlines always recognised the flights.
But I've never tried to change a booking or had any experience of customer service.
First time I used Opodo 5 years ago, they were the most competitive for a hotel in New York. I wanted to contact the hotel regarding our booking prior to our arrival but there was no reservation for us and the price on our booking could not be honored. We spoke to Opodo regarding getting our money back as there is no booking but they charged us £25.00 cancellation fee.
Last Christmas I thought I will give them another chance. I booked plane ticket with Singapore Airlines to Langkawi in Malaysia. The total cost was around £ 1920.00 for both of us (I don't remember the correct price). They took the money from my account, I received booking reference. Next day I spoke to Singapore Airlines to reserve my seats but there was no booking under my name! I spoke to Opodo and was assured that it will all be sorted, I have booking reference and not to worry about anything. The day after I received a call from Opodo that there is no more plane tickets for this price and I can pay cca £ 200.00 pp more to have this plane ticket! Of course we were not happy! I wanted my money back, which took them few days to refund it and I had to book this plane ticket with another 'flight provider' for the price that Opodo did not sell it to me.
I have no faith in this company and would not use them again.
I have read the other reviews about unhelpful staff. This has not been the case with me. However nice they are though, I am still waiting for them to return my money (they charged me twice [800 pounds each time], strangely it was two slightly different amounts). I will one day see my money I am guessing, but I will need the bank to follow their archaic and slow rules.
Opodo have given me mixed reasons and asked for bank statements twice for me to prove THEY have taken the money out. I would laugh if it was not so worrying and irritating. Can they take more money out without me giving permission ????
In this day and time, it seems it is easy for people to take your money but extremely hard (and very slow) to try and get your money back. Time we all told banks where to go and start paying in cash.
Have just had an experience with opodo that feels like I have been robbed at gun point. I booked two return flights (manchester to sao paulo) costing a total of £970.
When I received the confirmation email the name of the second passenger was: Mrs asdff sdf, which was clearly wrong, as the name appearing on the confirmation was as if someone was blind typing on a keyboard.
Calling the after sales team proved to be useless, I even got smirks of amusement from the representative. At the end opodo's solution is: cancel original booking at a lose of £300, and repurchase ticket now costing £653. Which means that a ticket that originally cost £485 has ended up costing £953 (excluding extra fees) £468 more than originally planned for and all because of an internet mistake as I always check my details when making a booking, especially an expensive one!
I can understand a fee for changing a name but opodo has completley blown this out of proportion.
The Opodo booking system has a bad habit of displaying deals and when you try to book it says Ooops! There was a system error. Please start all over again. After starting all over again the previous deal doesn't appear at the same price but 7% more expensive, in my case. I was really in need of that flight so I said, what the heck, one meal less for me and one more for them. Only to have the ticket booked on a wrong name. DAMN! Sending an email I was thinking maybe helps but just to be encouraged to call a Client service number. I called that number to wait for more than 25 minutes to talk to someone who couldn't help me too much. Once their system creates a problem the humans cannot sort it out. So in the end was not a meal but about ten going in their or airline's pocket.
With the Opodo's dodgy risky booking system what you save in 10 flight they make sure it is wiped out in the eleventh.
I booked a flight on behalf of someone else and then needed to amend the return flight. The woman who took my call had a rude manner and could not help me to amend the return flight for the same day. She could not amend the route, and could only suggest the same return flight a day earlier. No other option was offered otherwise the ticket would be invalidated. So I amended the return flight to the day earlier. When I saw the confirmation email, she had booked a whole month later than what I'd asked for!!! I had to call again to rectify that, and another staff member said on the phone they had corrected that mistake, but then I had an email to say there was a problem with the credit card and the booking was incomplete. In the end a colleague had to cancel the whole flight and rebook at extra cost (although the first woman at Opodo I spoke to had not even explained this option to me, even though I said I was happy to pay an admin fee for changing and any difference in price).
I will never use Opodo again.
Opodo is a nightmare. They charged my bank account (1100 USD) but did not make my reservation. I am speaking with their complaints hotline everyday for 1 week, but nothing happen! Impossible to get my money back so far!
Now I don't have enough money to book my flight (my vacation is coming, but I guess that I will have to stay home)... I have to wait Opodo to give me MY MONEY!!! It is crazy situation! And the Opodo hotline is showing so bad manner!
I strongly recommend you: NEVER OPODO
Booked flights with Opodo for summer 2012 that involved a transfer in Madrid before handing back to the UK. When we landed in Madrid after a great holiday we were shocked to discover that our flight home had been cancelled and the airline had stopped offering this flight on that particular day all together. The customer service people showed us emails between themselves and Opodo several months ago confirming the company knew we had no flight. When I asked opodo about this they simply said a message must have gone into my junk mail and I'd missed it. We were told at the airport our only choice to get home from Madrid after Opodo had left us stranded without a flight was to pay a thousand pounds for a first class seat home! Just something to consider if you are thinking of using this company.
They don't really attempt to make their fees stand out. Cancellation for flights £25pp each way. Non refundable flights are not clearly labelled - watch out for these. Also just because I booked a flight with you doesn't mean I want to be inundated by your spammy emails. Next time I'd rather pay a little more and book direct with the airline. First time user and I would NOT use again.
I used to website to book a holiday to Kreta last year. We got to the airport, were looking forward to the holiday and - boom. The flight was changed to one day earlier - but they didnt feel the need to give us this information. I am still struggling with them to get my money back - even if this wouldn't make up the dissapointment they caused us by this spoiled holiday. Will not use this site again!

When I contacted Opodo to complain about unfair charges that were added to a flight, they were rude and incredibly unhelpful - they told me that "they considered my case closed".
See our blog for more: http://blog.complaintshark.co.uk/2012/06/opodo-how-well-would-they-deal-with-our.html
Opodo helped out when I'd cocked up a flight reservation, happily passing me over to Delta's customer service team so I could shout at them. Once shouting was done and the desired result was obtained, Opodo helped me smoothly plan the rest of my trip - very impressed.
Error with departure time supplied by Opodo meant I missed my flight - had to pay for replacement flights (putting me £2k out of pocket). It took almost a year of Opodo washing their hands of me, ignoring emails and phone calls, then worse still replying and promising a response that never came.
I had to resort to calling them out on their own Facebook page (they really don't like that by the way - but it DOES get a response so I can recommend it). Ended up getting a full refund after being offered everything but a full refund - partial refund, refund in flight vouchers and a promised refund by a definite date that didn't occur on three separate occasions.
Even then I got a very polite lady on the phone who did seem to take it seriously at last who said she was very sorry and embarrassed by the whole event but nothing else from Opodo at all - not even a "thank God you're gone" email.
Awful company - so many other places to search for and book flights these days I recommend you try every other option before trying Opodo.co.uk or any version of Opodo.

I used travel supermarket and found this website. I had never heard of them but booked my flights through them. Everything was good, it was simple to understand and I knew exactly what I had paid for. They sent confirmations and all the information i needed to my email address pretty much straight away! Would definately use again and think more people should know about Opodo!
I use Opodo for all my european travels over the last few years. I work for a University and both myself and many colleagues use Opodo for conferences and teaching abroad. We pay for our own flights and are refunded some three months later by the University. I discovered on my last booking that Opodo took the money twice for three flights. This has meant going over limit with my bank and incurring charges. Opodo has told me it will take up to 15 days to be refunded and have said there is nothing they can do to make it quicker.
Quite frankly, I am disgusted. I am not well off and this error has cost me money. I will not be using Opodo again and I shall recommend that my university uses another company in future!

Not worth 1 star. Cost me 110 GBP.I made an error booking a flight on Saturday evening. I spotted it well within the 24 hour limit for corrections, but as their office was closed Sunday afternoon, they would not correct it. Not only that no supervisor from their callcentre would even talk to me. I was given not help, and was not even allowed to use the return leg of the ticket,as I could not use the outbound leg. A dreadful company to deal with . Never again!
