As I had a brand new spare for my Kia 4x4 I needed a matching tyre to enable them to be used on the rear axle. Oponeo had what I needed at a reasonable price. Placed the order for a Kumho 798 245x70 R16. money taken immediately then absolute silence only acknowledgement was at time of payment. Getting concerned after a couple of days phoned to find out what was happening, told that it could take up to 10 days for the tyre to be delivered. Horror as by that time I would be in Spain. The following day received an email that tyre was on its way from Holland, then that afternoon it was delivered.
Clearly they have a major customer services issue as they simply tell customers anything to get them off the phone. Clearly they have no view of the order process or tracking system and are dependant on third parties carrying out this task.
The actual product delivered was excellent, and at a good competitive price, in fact it could not be sourced elsewhere, and in the end it was delivered quickly. Hence 4 stars, but they need to waken up and understand communication with customers in essential in a mail order business, Stop the crap answers, get the facts and pass to your customers, be responsive.
Ordered a pair of tyres for my Honda Pan European ST1100 AY ABS. Arrived well within quoted time all the way from Germany. Easy to track progress through the live link E mailed to me. Tyres brilliant just what I needed and could find them nowhere else cheaper. Thanks again Oponeo.
I was looking for a specific winter tyre.This company was the only one who actually had stock and at a good price. delivery service was prompt and kept me informed. Pity they to not have tyre fitting partners.
Let down badly by a slightly cheaper company with no customer service, I approached Oponeo with some trepidation, given they were also shipping from abroad. However, a quick call to their friendly customer service team gave me stock information, likely delivery dates and a firm price.
Full and comprehensive tracking through DPD (the best tracked delivery service in the UK) showed me that the goods had left Holland, were on their way to Oponeo's UK warehouse and from there on the van to my house. Click through to DPD and there was even more complete tracking.
From Holland to Southern England in a couple of days was terrific and with DPD, their text messaging service told me with an hour when my delivery would arrive - no more waiting in all day for the post !
Goods arrived in perfect condition and exactly when scheduled.
Forget the rest, this is the Amazon of tyre delivery.
Thought Oponeo were very competitive on price, I was a little nervous having read some reviews, but paid on credit card. I ordered 2x Dunlop Sport 275/40/19 and they arrived in good order a day earlier than promised. I was able to track the delivery all the way. I was very happy with the service......
My "All Season" tyres were ordered late on Monday and delivered to my fitter on Thursday. I was able to track them all the way from start to fitter. Credit card payment went through fine, and the tyres were checked on arrival by the fitter and accepted as correct. Many thanks Oponeo!
If you want "easy to get" tyres others on here say it works well, I wanted large winter tyres and as other comments state "when it goes wrong it really goes wrong". I agree with the second comment. Searched around to get 4 winter tyres for BMW, 2 different sizes for front and back. Stipulated in order if unable to get all 4 tyres I don't want any of them. Order received and confirmed, separated into 2 orders from 2 different warehouses. Front tyres arrive (smaller & easier to get size), no sign or further confirmation of rear tyres. Another 5 days before any information at all even after 1 or 2 emails threatening I would be cancelling the entire order through paypal if someone did not get back to me. Rang up Monica and she seemed to want to help in relatively good english but "its a problem with the warehouse". Tyres eventually came with no further info from oponeo or Monica only to be the wrong size. No new tyres sent out until previous ones returned, returns organised badly through warehouse not through oponeo. After nearly a month of them having £1000+ of my money, 30+ emails, 10+ phone calls, I have eventually managed to get all of my money back and the tyres removed from my kitchen where they have been sitting with this ongoing process, no compensation! I was lucky, I initially stated on the order form that I wanted all 4 or none at all otherwise they would have apparently still charged me for the front tyres even though they sent and could not get the rear ones. Monica can be helpful, but, when I needed to speak with a supervisor the dreaded response, "he does not speak english", backed up by "he's not hear at the moment", ever aren't the best things to hear when they are holding that much of your money. I won't be using again, others tread carefully!
I was a bit cautious at first because the price was so low, and like the hydroponics guy also paid by credit card, unlike the hydroponics guy i used the one card (what's he been smoking?). The tyres arrived 48 hours later at my fitters garage and now adorn my MG TF. Bravo Openeo!
I always pay on internet to company's who are not well known by credit card for the insurance the credit cards give. So i wanted to order 2 winter tires for my Range Rover, only i tried to pay with 3 different credit cards from different banks, but non of them succeed.
When i called the next day, the lady said she could see that my bank blocked the payment to them and i have to call my bank……I told the lady…"all 3 banks? " The lady with strange foreign accent right away wanted to cancel my order and did total not her best to help me with the sell. I asked if i could come and take the tires myself and pay cash and i asked if i can pay when they are delivered at my company, all was not possible.
I got money enough on my bank accounts, so to check, i payed online something else, and it was working with no problem.
So…or there system is not working, or some banks are blocking payments to them because they have a bad reputation.
I know from experience with my business one thing… these tires were far out the cheapest on the net….and all price breakers in Europe who sold my products always had payment problems or went bankrupted.
I ordered 4x winter tyres from them and they took my payment immediately. I waited.....waited......after 10 days I called them and they said should be with me shortly I will receive a tracking number.
Three days later my next door neighbour received my tyres I had no tracking number.
Then one of the tyres is crushed! how and why they bothered sending it??!! so I called them and they are CLUELESS!!! apparently I have to wait until they collect the tyre and have it inspected BEFORE I get another one!! Bloody joke!!
Maybe I'm the unlucky one but read some of the reviews this company is HOPELESS!! I should have paid more and gone local as I usually do, less hassle!!
Was looking for some good 235 40 19 tyres amd after loads of hunting settled on some pirelli p zero and oponeo had the much cheaper than anybody and also had free delivery. Once ordered I was sent the tracking numbers for my tyres so I knew where they were. Delivery was chick and ordering was simple. Will definately use again.
Was looking 4 new 225 70 15 tyres for my 91 VW syncro 4x4 panel van, had real problems getting something to suit and was recommend Oponeo by a fellow member of the VW T25 owners club 80 90,have to say very impressed with web site,ordering and delivery time,but the best bit was the price.Getting parts delivered to Northern Ireland normally involves excessive delivery charges. Would have no issues buying from Oponeo again.
I purchased two tyres for a great price and they arrived very fast. Went to fit them and unfortunately one tyre had been stored incorrectly damaging the sidewalls. I phoned Adam and he said send some pictures of the tyre. I spent time doing this email. I sent it and after a few hours phoned them. Adam had not read the email. He then read it and said he would get back to me. You now get the picture, he does not keep his word and I'm still waiting for a reply. In fact I'm sent this review email even though I've started a paypal dispute as I'm stuck with a faulty tyre and they don't want to know. I wish I'd used tyre trader. com as they were £6 more expensive but they value the business. I'm hoping someone at this company will read this and finally resolve my situation. Avoid at all costs as they don't know what customer service means, in particular Adam needs some training on keeping his word. They have picked the wrong person to do this too, will follow to end even if it goes to small claims court.
