If I was you I would not touch Opticsfast.com because they are a rubbish firm to go for. Even if you asked for a price match they don't beat the best price like I found and they ever price match my item at all. I asked for a refund but still no joy after 6 months. I can even get to speak to anyone as they never answer the phone as they ever call you back from a call back option. They even take a 20% cancelation fee off you. I even emailed them as they said my order was canceled ages ago. But they never refunded me. All they do is just fob people off and not sure if it is just a scam and selling fake goods. So if want to buy any designer sunglasses best to stick to the high streets or the official website of different manufature's Do use this website as you will be out of pocket where they will not give you your money back.
I totally agree with all the other negative reviews on this company, I only wish I had read these reviews before I did business with them. I ordered some Dolce & Gabbana frames from them and was told they would be shipped in two weeks. After two weeks and not receiving a shipping confirmation I started to follow up on delivery. My first reply was from Becky S. and reads as follows;
"Rest assure I am on top of this situation and have no interest to delay the order
The request for more information about your order has been sent to my shipping department
I will not leave them alone until they resolve this problem for you.
I will keep this email as new as deal with this issue until its resolved.
I will get back to you with the response I get as soon as I hear from them"
Never heard back from Becky S, so I followed up again and was told the frames would arrive the following week, well 1 week later there was still no shipping confirmation, so I contacted them again and was told they had been shipped from "ITALY" and would be here next week. After the week had passed they frames had not arrived, so I contacted them again and was told the frames had finally arrived and would be shipped today. They told me they would express them to me at their expense, this is now 5 weeks after my original order.
The frames arrived the next day, they were not expressed, they were shipped first class postage. Upon opening the box I found the frames wrapped in a white generic plain padded pouch with bubble wrap inside the box. Written on the padded pouch in felt pen was "Dolce & Gabbana Eye Glass Frames", they was no designer box for the frames, which is what you receive when buying designer frames of glasses.
One interesting note, there was no packing list with the shipment and on the shipping label the frames were shipped from a RESIDENCE located in Spring Valley, California, not from their office in NY.
After comparing the new frames with my old frames, everything appeared to be the same including "MADE IN ITALY" my best guess is they are knock offs MADE IN CHINA.
I am going to contact US Customs and file a complaint, I am sure they would be interested in items imported into this country using a false country of origin.
My OpticsFast adventure began when I broke the hinge on a favorite pair of Serengeti sunglasses. After some quick web research, I found OpticsFast ("If we can't fix them, nobody can"). I sent the glasses, received an email indicating they could be repaired, but I would have to pre-pay for the work ($72.89).
Approximately two weeks later I received a box from OpticsFast -- the glasses were wrapped loosely in a plastic bag, unrepaired (even worse, one of the lenses had come out of the frame and was loose in the bag), with no letter or other explanation. I called OpticsFast, and was told that the glasses couldn't be repaired. I asked why I had received an email indicating that they COULD be repaired, and why I had been charged -- the representative apologized, and explained that sometimes it was hard to make a final determination until a technician actually began work on the glasses.
I suppose I was OK with that explanation -- but then asked why the repair charge hadn't been refunded. The individual again apologized, and indicated that "she would take care of it," and I would see a credit in the next seven to 10 days. This made me curious -- "Are you telling me that if I hadn't called, I wouldn't have received a credit?" The individual simply apologized again, and I gave it no more thought -- and she helpfully offered that if I were to purchase a new pair of glasses from the company, I would receive a discount.
Which led me to make my second mistake -- ordering new glasses from OpticsFast. After going through a number of back-and-forths, I was able to get OpticsFast to match the prevailing competitive price, so placed the order. I was told that I would receive the glasses in seven to 10 days.
So I began to wait.
After about 10 days, I called to get order status. I was told that the glasses would be in "any day," and I would have them by the end of the week (I had called on a Monday). The next week, I called again, received the same answer, but no product. The third week, I called AGAIN, and when the representative started giving the same answer, I became upset and said that if I didn't receive the glasses by the end of the week, I was going to cancel the order -- in response, the individual cheerily said "OK, bye-bye" and hung up on me!
I was furious, called back, got a different representative, and asked to cancel the order -- she asked why, but when I related my story, didn't seem very interested but said she would send an email to confirm the cancellation.
However, I still was angry -- I'm a retail consultant, and am very sensitive to customer service -- so called back and asked for a supervisor. I connected with an individual who was extremely apologetic -- she explained that OpticsFast doesn't keep many of its products in stock, but has to order from manufacturers after receiving a customer order. In the case of Serengeti, this often takes three weeks. I explained that I could understand that business model, and had I been told that in the beginning, I would have been fine -- what I COULDN'T accept was that I had been repeatedly misled, and worse yet, had a customer service representative hang up on me. She again apologized for the former, and said she would look into the latter.
Later that day, I received the cancellation email -- it actually wasn't a cancellation, but a reply-to confirmation, complete with the message that I would be charged a 20% cancellation fee should I choose to cancel.
By this time, I was so disgusted, I decided to just wait them out. And finally -- two weeks later (and five weeks after placing the order) my sunglasses arrived.
This is actually a far better end than that suffered by many other reviewers. Bottom line -- I think that there are some individuals at OpticsFast that do care about customers, but there are many more that don't. Proceed with caution.
I ordered a pair of Tiffany glasses from these jerks. Got an e-mail back saying they couldn't fill the order and to choose another pair. I told them I didn't like any of the other ones and just wanted a refund. I got 4 e-mails TELLING me to order another pair. I wrote to them telling them that I had contacted my credit card company and the matter would be taken further. Got my refund but it took ages and I got stung for two lots of exchange rate costs. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
It's kind of funny that I got an email FROM OpticsFast asking me to review them here and on ResellerRatings.com (where they have an average of 0.68/10 after 484 reviews. Wow). I almost think OpticsFast is a big prank. I mean their name itself is hilariously inaccurate.
It took me over 2 months to receive glasses that were supposed to come in 2 weeks. Every time I contacted OpticsFast to check the status of my order they seemed totally unsurprised that the order was taking way longer than estimated and constantly told me it would get to the lab "soon," a process that was supposed to take days but ended up taking weeks. When the glasses finally did show up, they were not in a case. Just loose in a box. With a generic sleeve on the side. No Emporio Armani case at all.
I would never ever ever ever order anything from them ever again.
I would like to thank OpticsFast for fixing my broken Chanel sunglasses that I have been told are impossible to fix by both the Chanel boutique as well as numerous optical shops (the issue is the left template broke apart at the hinge).
Customer service were very fast at replying to my emails and questions and addressing my issues. From my experience, I felt they were better at communicating by email and replying to emails than they were at answering the phone.
Speed wise, overall, the whole process from sending out the sunglasses to receiving them fixed took about 2 and a half weeks.
Worst experience and first time ever providing a review on any company or product. Took forever, uninformed that my lenses could not be repaired. They sent me a cheap fake that were not attached to the frames and that I couldn't even see clearly through. HORRIBLE and completely unprofessional customer service; refused to pay for shipping to send my glasses back a second time and refused to provide a refund. Even went thru Amex with no luck. Please save yourself the time and frustration. Do not deal with this sham of a company.
I purchased an Oliverspeoples sunglasses for my friend (whose birthday was on August) last year year around July. They said the product would arrive somewhere between 1 week to 2 weeks. I was very excited to give her the present but we waited and waited and waited and came her birthday and her glasses were still not here... I emailed their customer service, and it went nowhere... I chatted with them online, and they said they would look into it without even asking for my tracking number or anything.. and it still went nowhere. September arrived and I still haven't gotten the sunglasses, I asked them if I could get a refund because this was unacceptable! they said their "vendor in ITALY" hasn't shipped it out yet so I had to wait. So we waited and waited and came NOVEMBER and we were like okay if you don't give us our glasses or our money back we're gonna file a complaint. Then they finally rushed things up and we got our glasses couple weeks before Christmas... Okay great we got our sunglasses, but the thing is THE SUNGLASSES WERE NOT NEW!!!! THEY SENT US A PAIR OF SUNGLASSES THAT WERE OBVIOUSLY PREUSED. THE case looks worn, and the frame had small scratches on it. THEY WERE SELLING US SECOND HAND SUNGLASSES FOR ALMOST THE FULL PRICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't want to deal with them again, who knows if they're gonna refund my money so I let it go.
Recently I received an email from them...
"Sorry to bother you, but I have a small proposal you may be interested in.
On 11/8/2012, we shipped you a pair of the OLIVER PEOPLES EMELITA 56 MTBP
While this item was available at the time that you bought it, its now currently discontinued.
I have a client who is interested in this particular item in the color you bought.
I just wanted to email you to see if you are willing to sell it back to
me for a reasonable price. This item must be in NEW or LIKE NEW condition
I would be willing to either pay you for this item, or to give you a credit towards a new item at one of our websites.
Please get back to me and let me know if this is of any interest to you."
ARE U KIDDING ME!!!!! This basically PROVES to me that this company is buying used sunglasses from their customers and then selling them to other people and then taking it back to sell to other people for FULL PRICE.
DO NOT BUY, you will have an used product that takes MONTHS to get because nobody is willing to sell their sunglasses back to the company.
Just got my glasses. I am surprised it wasn't fixed and no communication about the status. It took 3 weeks to deliver and not fixed...my money is also not yet refunded.
Can I know what is really going on. And when my money will be refunded because you have sent back my glasses without a fix paid for.
I was extremely disappointed with my experience with OpticsFast.com. Although their web site said that it could take 2-6 weeks to receive the frames I ordered, it has taken 8 weeks. Communication with them is a terrible experience. The web site says they are available from 9-7, but the phone message says 9-6. If you call at 5, you will not get anyone to answer. Leaving a message for a callback never works. They have never returned a phone call. When I was able to talk to a representative, the only answer was either "we are stil waiting for the shipment" or "we have sent an email message and are waiting for a response." They said they would upgrade my shipping when the frames arrived and did not do that. I am still waiting for the frames to arrive after they were shipped on Friday and it is Tuesday. I hope thye are in good shape and do not have to return them!
on august 24th, i sent my sunglasses in to this scam company for repair.the website looked very professional and repair pictures looked state of the art repair methods. i had to prepay return postage and then pay them after they received glasses and gave the cost of rewelding the broken plastic arm. i never heard back from them for weeks and when i called a dozen times and emailed over and over i was given many different stories from it being a jewish holiday and no one was working to the welding machine was broken, to i cant help you youll just have to wait till the factory sends them out.i complained to amex as well. finally after one last call i received them on the 20th of october glued with crazy glue all over the arm and they immediately broke again. they were never repaired. this company doesnt exist. they are just taking money and you are lucky to get them back in the same broken condition as they were when first sent in.
they need to be put out of business. the glasses are now damaged with glue and unfixable. they need to be punished. i noticed after researching further that they do this all the time to many customers. they are so stupid they told me they are a worldwide repair facility and are so busy that it takes a few weeks to get glasses back. but they advertise a quick repair at the facility i mailed them to.
optics fast is a con!
I sent a pair of Revo's and Persol's in for repair. After getting the bid to repair with the H2O lenses for the Revo's and the repair for the frame on the Persol I approved the work. The result is the wrong lenses in both glasses, I only approved the lens replacement on the REVO's and both now have the wrong lenses and the repair on the frame to the Persol looks like a kid did it. The frame is crooked and appears to have been glued in damaging the outside of the frame where it was not damaged. I am very disappointed, unhappy and at this point would not recommend the service. I have wasted my money and should have just bought new glasses.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM!
Sent in a pair of Prada sunglasses for repair. It took nearly 2 months for the repair, and when I got them back they were actually in worse shape than when I sent them in! They are currently not wearable! When I wrote their customer service staff, they made some lame excuse & basically had an attitude of "tough luck"; and they would not refund my money!
THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS - they will take your money, deliver you nothing & then refuse to refund.
Is there a way we can get this company closed down for illegal activity?
They have charged me $550 and will NOT give me my money back even though they can't fulfil my order.
They said they had the frames I wanted in stock, but as soon as I paid the money back in JUNE then the lies started, endless lies and endless emails just sending you around in circles.
Bottom line the frames are discontinued, they gave different excuses inc they were waiting delivery from Mikli France, that all the staff in Europe are out on holidays for a month so will take longer to arrive etc. They charged my C/C more than the amount of the order, refused to provide any proof of the order with Miki, I contacted Mikli directly & they don't deal with Opticfast & hadn't fulfilled any orders for that frame for a LONG time as it was discontinued.
They finally send me the same scam mail others have reported saying they had arrived with a crack in the frame so couldn't send and now the frame was DISCONTINUED.
So I reply & ask for my money back AGAIN - what is the response I get today? "We are waiting for the frame to arrive so we can ship to you".
AVOID AT ALL COSTS, These people are crooks and I'm in the process of reporting them to the police & US authorities, I've also contacted the BBC to feature them on their consumer affairs TV programme 'WatchDog', so others do not fall into the same scam and hopefully their website can get shut down - I urge you to do so too.
I wouldn't be surprised if they are creating dummy accounts and placing fake good reviews here just in a bid to try and look credible.
This company sent me a quote to replace the scratched lenses in my Prada glasses. I gave them my cc information via their Internet site thinking that I would be charged and the glasses would be repaired. They sent my glasses back to me a month and a half later with the same scratched lenses and with one of them removed. I wrote a review reflecting all of this information. They emailed me within the hour saying that I would hear from their attorney. They went on to say that they did not charge me and that my review was slanderous. I reviewed the statement of the credit card that I thought that I used and the only charge that I saw was for shipping. I have yet to review the others and I will. But, if they could not fix them why did they send me a quote with a place to pay saying that they would fix them. I will check all of my statements and keep everyone updated.
I have a problem with my expensive Tag Heuer frames purchased from Opticsfast.com.
I cannot get a response to my enquiry by email, by online support and an insolent response on the UK telephone number - 'thank you for wasting my time' was what was said as the phone was put down.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY
Opticsfast is a huge scam. Believe me, I never ever imagined to get this sort of business with them. I had a pair of beloved Mauji Jim prescription sunglasses which got scratched and wanted to get them repaired with Opticsfast's "in house lab's" lenses. I paid $160 apart from the shipping charges of $12. It took them a whole month to get me my product back. To my horror, the repaired product was not a sunglass, they just replaced my sunglass lenses with regular glass lenses!!!! Moreover, they even got the prescription on these lenses wrong. So, everything was wrong with this purchase. It took me $2 to send it to them by USPS ground and they charge $12 for shipping it back to you using the same USPS ground, absolute rip-offs!!! Wouldnt you expect the product to arrive in 2 days if you pay that much in shipment?? It takes about 6 days for you to receive these upon shipment from them. The return service department has a personnel Linda- she is was very polite when she needed my credit card info when I had to pay using a second credit card (the first one had deactivated). She called me next day to confirm my address (I had already sent it to her email), I told her that it was in her email but she insisted "DO YOU WANT YOUR GLASSES BACK OR NOT???", and then she slammed the phone down after I gave her the address. So you see how they are just sitting there to rip you off your money and not meant to give you any quality product or customer service whatsoever. Am sure the few good testimonials have been written by people who get lured to get $10 refund upon giving positive feedback, or can well be rigged by Opticsfast themselves. Trust me reader, do not waste your money and time with them, look at me venting and wasting my time and energy, please absolutely dont do business with them
I wish I could select zero stars. This company is literal Thieves. I have NO idea how they have not been shut down by the Better Business Bureau.
Quick summary: They Lie about inventory, charge your card before they secure the product, use your money to fund a very brief search for your glasses, send pre-manufactured emails that don't even make sense with excuses as to why your order has been delayed for many months, completely lie about shipping service (everything is usps ground), don't reply to emails, and do not send your product or refund your money without putting up a HUGE fight.
The worst most difficult online purchase I have ever made in my life. I purchased two sets of frames which were both in stock with a 72 hour processing promise. SIX MONTHS LATER and a truly unbelievable amount of lies and excuses later, I have been refunded for frames that the company never had in the first place. Within days I was informed that the frame of one pair of the glasses that I ordered from their stock was cracked and had to be returned to the vender (who was back ordered). I replied, asked which of the two frames I ordered were in fact cracked, and the reply was, "Well, actually both frames you ordered are back ordered". I also noted that the glasses I ordered were frameless... Then, literally the next day I received the exact same email copied and pasted to me from another agent with the excuse sentence changed from “cracked frames” to “Scratched Lenses”. I have received messages from two different people two minutes apart with completely different excuses copied and pasted into the email. It is unbelievable to the point of being comical – except for the fact that I was out of pocket $550 the whole time.
Five weeks later, after my order was shipped, and my confirmation number was sent, I noticed that Opticsfast shipped my order with the lowest level of international shipping service available by USPS when I in fact paid for 2-3 Day priority express mail. When I asked for a refund of express shipping premium I paid, they replied and corrected me saying that I ordered standard shipping. When I sent back a copy of the invoice detailing that I had in fact ordered and paid the highest level of shipping offered that states 2-3 Day delivery, they did not reply. When the order arrived, half of the product was missing.....
This is truly the worst online shopping experience I have ever had and would recommend that NOBODY EVER use this website. They lie about their stock, processing times, shipping charges and every other detail imaginable to get you to place an order. Once you front them the payment for the glasses, they go to the manufacturer and place a new order for your frames. They will tell you absolutely anything to justify why they do not have your item in stock and need 3-5 weeks to process your order. In my case, 6 months after placing the order, I finally ended up with a refund for the product that never showed up. I will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
I placed a order for a pair of GUCCI sunglasses. Was told that they would ship within the week. 5 or 6 weeks later I finally received them after I told them I would dispute
the credit card charge which is processed the very second you place your order. I would never order again nor recommend this website to anyone!
They are trying to give me money to solicit a positive review from me, I'd prefer to sacrifice that and tell the truth. Sent in $265 pair of REVO for frame solder.
They have a Better Business Bureau rating of "F" on a scale of A+ to F.
Quoted 5 day turn around, took 48 days.
Paid for 2nd air return shipping, but was sent back via US mail rattling around in a box with no padding or protection.
Called in 5 times for status, after very long hold times was hung up 3 times, the other 2 I left a message and never heard back.
4 attempts to get a status via email, responded 2 times with "in lab" and no ETA.
Eventual repair seems adequate, lenses not put in quite right; under no circumstances will I ever conduct business with them again.
Don't even think about ordering from them. THERE IS A CANCELATION FEE and RETURN FEE. They completely messed up my order and I couldn't even cancel it because then they would still be taking my money. Also, you do not get to review your order before you place it. When you hint the "next" button after selecting your option you have placed your order. Therefore, if you see something wrong, TO LATE! They over charged me and it took two long phone calls to fix it. They are also being shipped to the wrong address. Which I can't change. The people on the phone were not very friendly. There business hours are also veryyyy short so it took me a lot longer then it should have to fix their mistakes. Absolutely horrible company as you will also see in all of their reviews. Never ever again.
Martin Cowling found this review useful
I sent them my glasses in June. They signed for them on June 9th. It is now August and they cannot find them. I have call/chatted/email/yelled out over the edge of the Grand Canyon trying to get a response. Please read other reviews. If I had I would not have sent them my glasses and I would be a happier person.
My order was placed on July 31 st 2013, at the same day I received e-mail that Optics FAST charged my card, delivery should be in 5-8 business days.
It was a last communication that I received from this company.
My first follow up call was 2 weeks later wondering where is my order and I was told that frame was ordered from supplier and I will get the order in next 3-5 days.
I called again today and was told that it was a back order ( I wasn't notify about it ) and they will sent my purchase in the next few days. I tried to cancel my order based on the principal " you can charge my card before you sent the product" and service Rep replied " you need to pay 20% cancelation fee"
Thie is a terrible company, do not buy from them!!!!
I purchased eyeglasses with them on the 7 of july and it only arrived today the 13th of august. They promise a processing time of at most 72 hours. After one week and no shippment yet I decided to cancel it since they had not done what it was told. But they did not cancell it and wanted to charge me for 20% of my payment for cancellation.
Terrible phone atendence.
Worst company ever, never buy at OpticsFast!!
Payed for expedited shipping and it was shipped on regular one.
This whole enterprise is a scam. The site said my item ships within 24 hours, after a week with no shipping confirmation the service replied that they need to fetch it from another store. After two weeks still no word, after three weeks my card that I used for purchase was used by somebody to buy jewelry. Intercepted the fraud and canceled the order from optics, but they do not even read mails, two weeks later they send shipping confirmation with a tracking number that does not exist. One week later still no delivery. Stay away from OF, unless you are an investigator that is going to nail them down.
I have been dealing with this since February 2013 and still have no satisfaction.
I sent my glasses to be repaired I told them not to solder them but to replace the nose piece. They did not do what I asked and sent my glasses back soldered and then they broke again. I complained to sales and this is what happened.
I was just told by the sales dept to e-mail management. This after being told on April 1, 2013 by Linda that this credit would be issued.
I have made a total of over 10 phone calls. Can I please be told why I can not get the credit issued as promised. I have sent the receipt I paid to the place in Los Angeles that actually fixed my two pairs of glasses. I only sent you one of pairs of glasses, because I wanted to make sure you could repair them properly which you could not.
On June 7, I sent the above the above email as was requested. We are no 10 days later and still no action has been taken, other than your auto response.
Have I upset one of the girls who then put a note on my records?
Please give me the respect of a response and or payment. The credit card I charged this on, has been closed for fraud. Please issue a check.
This is perhaps the worst online experience I have ever had with a company. I sent them my broken glasses for and estimate of repairs. First they seemed to loose my glasses....then they were magically found....then it took a week to get an estimate...then they claimed they were backed up because of the 4th of July....then two months after I sent my glasses with me begging on a regular basis they showed up today IN THE SAME CONDITION THAT I SENT THEM!! These people should not be allowed to run a business. Stay away from them at all costs!!!
What I find hard to believe is how can there be so many very bad reviews and a few five star reviews. The people that write the bad reviews you can tell are truly upset. The five star reviews to me seem like another scam by the company to balance out those reviews. I just don't think a company can be this bi-polar.
This place is terrible. I order Sunglasses from them over two weeks ago and still haven't received them and I paid $20 for two-day shipping. Things started to go wrong with them from the start. When I placed my order I was told that I had to send them a copy of credit card to for them to process the order. What!? They're crazy - who would send a physical, digital, or any other copy of a credit to some random website. The site claims to have SiteLock Secure encryption, and yet, I should mail them through sailmail or email them or fax them a copy of the front and back of my credit card - through some completely unsecured form of communication? They are nuts. My credit card company literally laughed out loud over the phone when I told them that this what another company was asking for to complete an order. Why did I contact the credit card company? Because when I told Optics"Fast".com that I wouldn't send them a copy of the card they told me that I could cancel my order, but it would be subjected to a 20% cancellation fee. Without doing a thing they were going to charge a fee. Great business practice. Oh, and along those, and to be clear - they wouldn't run my card for the actual purchase, but had NO problem, whatsoever, charging my card for a cancellation fee. Awesome ethics in play here.
Anyway, the credit card company helped to settle this issue and I still wanted the glasses because I couldn't find them else where and wanted them "fast" for a friend's up coming birthday. However, this was basically ruined because OpticsFast doesn't actually have the glasses. Yeah, they order them from another vender. NOwhere on the product information page when ordering the item does it say it this - or as I was told in a subsequent online chat with a customer service agent - does it say that OliverPeoples glasses (specially what I order, not all their glasses) ship in 2-3 weeks.
Never. Would. Have. Order. From. Them.
If this were, visible in a location where the customer could actually be made aware of this prior to ordering - I wouldn't have bother because my friend's birthday was within this time-frame and it wouldn't have been worth the risk. Yesterday, 7/17/13, I contacted them asking what was going on with the order and I was told that the glasses would arrive from the mysterious vender that day. When I didn't receive a shipping confirmation by 11 AM the FOLLOWING day I contacted them again to see what the story was. Apparent the order had to be "processed" before it would ship out from their facility and this takes an additional "48 hours". What!? It takes 48hours for them to put glasses in a box and slap a mailing label on it? How do they have the ordasity to call themselves "OpticsFast"? They're anything but fast! This is the slowest online order I have ever placed. Amazon would have had these (if they carried them) to me within as little as 12 hours and at most 48, but here I am over 2 weeks later without the glass. Pathetic.
Like others here I wish I had dug a little deeper before placing an order with optics fast. check out Better Business Bureau for all the major complaints. My story goes like this:
Placed order May 19th.
problem1: I received contradictory emails from Becky S that my glasses had been received and sent to lab on three different dates (so first few times was probably a lie to get rid of me). On June 19th I wrote "This is the second time you have said that the glasses just arrived and the third time you have said that they are going to the lab, so I believe this to be untrue" she replied "When were you told that? They just came in and we already started working on the lens". I sent then copy and paste's of the emails she sent, she replied "Not sure whee these dates came from, but I will give you a discount" *spelling mistake was in the original email from Becky S
Problem 2: On June 24th I received the following from Becky S " the lab needs to redo the lenses and they cracked the initial lens. I will have them redo it and of course you will get a discount.". So I tried to cancel my order which then came the reply "We can cancel but there would be a 20% cancelation fee as we began the work. I will make it beneficial to you"
Problem 3: June 28th they withdrew the funds from my bank account. They telephoned and told me they have the glasses in front of them, they will refund me my express services I had paid and they will discount me $40+. They will send them off to be packed and shipped.
Problem 4: July 11th still no tracking number for my shipment, over 30 emails sent between 28th - 11th trying to get an answer when will I be refunded and when will my glasses ship.
Problem 5: July 15th received glasses. Prescription is incorrect so I take the new glasses to an opticians, they read the lenses with a special machine (probably a Lenometer) and confirm the prescription in the right lens is totally off (they are 175 instead of 90). I write to Becky S with info and scan of document from Opticians and I get the reply "All prescriptions are final sale." and "I just confimred your UV and anti scratch Because the technician did the RX and lens" . When asked what Becky S has to say to the PDF I sent she replies " That is not the proof, what needs to be done is a lenometer reading. So now you are singing a different tune?"
Problem 6: The lenses also do not have the following I have paid for:
Scratch Resistant Coating
Ultraviolet Protection (UV)
Problem 7: When I asked what they would need from me in the form of a respected optician looking at the glasses and verifying what they do and do not have, I received this answer "There is no such thing as a official inspection, but your own eyes". Now Becky S asks me to return the glasses to them. NO chance. If other reviews are true then i would never get them back.
So I'm still fighting for a refund and will continue to do so.
I placed a simple repair order - to replace a small plastic piece that is part of the nose-bridge on my sunglasses. This was done on May 10. This is a 10 cent part and maybe 5 minutes of work for which they charged me over $42 and I had to pay for the shipping both ways. This, and it took over to months to complete the work.......
NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THEM and I suggest no one else does either.
I received my order in 3 weeks and it was awesome.
I sent two pairs of Revo's to OPTIC FAST and they sent one back nothing done to it and the second pair had new lenses put in, at a cost of $200.00. The worst thing is the terrible job they did with the lenses. The gaps between the lenses and frame are unbelievable, clearly you can see the ground, terrible! The response I received from (Becky) customer service was "We did the best we could". Your company advertises as the "Worlds leading optic repair facility" what a joke.
I replied that the job they did was unacceptable and the customer service agent (Becky) answered back "What is unacceptable"?, then she emails" We can not refund money on a service that we did." ARE YOU KIDDING ME, TAKE THE MONEY AND SCREW THE CUSTOMER. I WAS CHARGED $200.00+ FOR MY LENSES THAT DON'T FIT MY FRAMES AND THEY'RE NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. I COULD OF PURCHASED A BRAND NEW PAIR OF REVO'S FOR THE PRICE I PAID FOR MY AMATEUR FITTING LENSES!! IF I COULD GIVE A LOWER STAR THAN 1, I WOULD!
They said they had the frames i wanted. I bought them and they did no have it. The same thing about the MINOR SCRATCH... then, they sent me like 3 weeks later the incorrect sunglasses and i had to pay more than 70 USD from my country to send back the incorrect frames... they did not pay me for the shipment and i did not get the sunglasses,,, they just refunded me the money i paid to them...
The worst internet online store i have ever seen....
