i ordered LaFont glasses from them. After a month, the frame is peeling and when i complained they were useless and said to contact the company. LaFont says they are not distributors and they use no decals. These are knockoffs!!!! I paid almost $500 for fake frames. And there is nothing i can do about it. i feel dumb, yes, but pissed is more like it. Do not use this company!!!!
This company is a complete fraud. They are advertising one price then charging you another.
I found a great looking pair of sun glasses that I when thought the whole purchasing process. Then I received an email that said that they needed o speak with me. I called them and they said that I had paid the incorrect amount; she said that when she had the correct amount she would call me back. Then when I received a call back the customer service that I spoke with was a bunch of bullies. She would not allow me to speak (continually talking over me) and telling me how they were going to charge me an additional 200+ dollars for sunglasses that I had already paid for. I am now having to wait for the charge to appear on my credit card so I can go thought the dispute process.
I bought my glasses with and insurance and within the next day I had received my shipping information and tracking number. I got the glasses at a great discount, and their service was fine and I would most certainly buy from them again. Also, I read the bad reviews but can confidently say I experienced none of that, and if anything the service was outstanding when answering my questions.
Do not prepay anything to these people. Their website clearly states that they take 2-3 days to evaluate then 2-3 days for repair. This would lead you to believe that it would take no more than 6 days to get the glasses repaired and placed back in shippment to the customer. After waiting "4 business days" they rudely told me that they get thousands of packages a day and when they finally get around to opening your package it takes 5-7 days for a quote. BEWARE
A week after I placed my order for frames (which they did price match for $10 below their nearest competitor), I got an e-mail saying that the frames they had in stock were cracked, the designer had discontinued them (which is simply not true), and I could buy different frames with a discount. The customer service e-mail was written in an overly narrative/detailed, unprofessional way — so I got suspicious and looked up reviews online. I found many others who had received the exact same e-mail and revealed eventually that the site was a scam.
I called, dialed into their phone tree for "customer service" and was left waiting on the phone for 15 minutes. I figured the line was a dead-end, if the site was indeed a scam, so I called back and dialed to "place an order." A woman answered *immediately,* and when I explained the situation and that I wanted my order refunded/canceled, she said I could get the frames I originally ordered if I paid $20 more. Like... what??
Anyway, this is a scam. I read other reviewers say that OpticsFast simply resells frames that they find on eBay, and then send you through customer service chutes and ladders if they can't find/win the frames (which you've already ordered) on eBay.

Absolutely the worst company ever. Ordered a pair of sunglasses and they arrived damaged. Spoke to several customer service agents and it was still unclear what I was supposed to do. Everything indicated that they sent me a display pair (was supposed to be brand new) and that I would have to pay to send them back with a 20% restocking fee??!! Then when I finally got an answer from a manager she said she couldn't take them back anymore because it had been 14 days...WHAT???
DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE BUSINESS!!!!!
OpticsFast was great about correctly repairing my sunglasses, sending them back to me in a reasonable amount of time, and communicating with me about the status of my order. I would definitely use OpticsFast in the future.
Great prices! Awesome customer service! I must say I was a bit frustrated at first with the wait but I am satisfied now! It takes a little over a week for certain sunglasses but who wouldn't wait for half off retail prices. Great selection to choose from all the top designers and even the just released sunglasses. I can't stress enough how awesome the customer service was, OUTSTANDING!!! Bravo! I will definitely do business with opticfast in the future!!

THEY HAVE THE WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SERVICE ALL TOGETHER. TOLD EACH OF THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE AFTER WAITING ON HOLD FOR 15-20 MINUTES EACH TIME TO FINALLY TALK TO SOMEONE ONLY TO HAVE MOST HANG UP ON ME. THEY TOLD ME ON MARCH 7 THAT MY SUNGLASSES WOULD BE MAILED IN 72 HOURS, I JUST RECEIVED CONFIRMATION THAT THEY WERE MAILED YESTERDAY. WAS TOLD I COULD NOT CANCELL MY ORDER WITH OUT PAYING 20% RESTOCKING FEE, YET THEY HAVE HAD MY MONEY FOR A MONTH. I GUESS I WILL STILL HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE HOW MY SUNGLASSES COME OUT. THEY BLAMED THE COSTA COMPANY FOR IT BEING A PROBLEM, MY QUESITION TO THEM IF THEY ARE IN STOCK HOW IS IT THE COSTA COMPANYS FAULT IT TOOK YOU SO LONG AND YOU HAVE RUDE PEOPLE??/
This company has the worst business practice and customer service of any company I have had the displeasure of dealing with. Danielle, a representative of optics fast, refused to refund my money when I cancelled my order because the glasses I wanted were on back order and it was going to be weeks before they could be shipped. I was not told this up front and could not wait weeks for a pair of eyeglasses. Please do not consider buying glasses from this horrible company.

I spoke to all 5 of them with my displeasure of dealing with them.
First off, I was told that my Domestic Shipping was going to be free of charge. THey charged me $12 for it, and when I reached out to them asking why, I got no response.
I decided to wait until I received my glasses to deal with it.
I did not receive any status from them on the shipping of my glasses. I reached out to them and a week later they responded saying that it had not yet been shipped and that they needed my address again.... I ordered it online and entered my address in their system! I gave them my address again, and a week later they said that they had to wait 2-3 weeks to receive the glasses from the vendor, then they would ship it right away.
8 weeks go by and still no glasses and no confirmation or tracking number or status update.
I finally call so that I can see what on earth is going on, and I get this Connie woman who essentially tells me that I am overreacting and need to understand that these things take time. Isn't your company called Optics'Fast'?
I tried to cancel my order all together, but I was told I could not because the shipping was already in process. They quickly sent me an email with shipping information and tracking number.
I finally get a pair of glasses in the mail. The wrong size of glasses than what I ordered.
I call to complain and return the merchandise, and they tell me that I have to pay for the return shipping, insurance, and a 20% restocking fee. All the while it has been 10 weeks since I placed the order.
After arguing with Becky, Connie, Crystal, Danielle, and Jenny I give up because they are all supposedly supervisors and do not have a supervisor or manager for them. They tell me there is nothing they can do with the fees and that I will have to pay for all of it, even though they sent me the wrong pair of glasses.
This whole thing was a 12 week headache and I got nothing at all for the $80 I spent, and numerous hours I spent dealing with it.
I'd recommend spending the extra $50 or $60 and go somewhere else.
OpticsFast carries a wide range of eyeglasses, including many discontinued models. They even check the frames to make sure they are in A-1 condition before shipping. However, once the order is placed, you will not hear from them for 8-10 days. For me, that meant 10 day wait, then cancel order since they didn't have the frame, then place a new order (but they gave me a discount) and wait another 8 days before the new order shipped. I think they should have expedited the new order, especially since I did it through their online chat system and there was a real person on the other end.
Wanted to put some plain lenses in a pair of pristine prescription Maui Jim sunglasses since getting new optics with a new prescription would be over the top expensive. After they assured me it could be done, I mailed back my frames. Took over a month to get the glasses and then they came back with duplicate prescription lenses! They said that it is my fault because I didn't specify plain lenses. Since there was a series of e-mails and talks and I believed they only did plain lens replacements I was floored when they didn't even want to talk to me about the problem. The customer service rep hung up on me when I asked if I had then remade if it would cost less with plain lenses. Very rude. Since the old lenses were perfect, would that raise a red flag that perhaps there was a problem here? Stuck and made about it.
Sent expensive Tom Ford sunglasses for repair in October 2012. Paid for service by credit card. Glasses were returned to me returned in November 2012 UN-repaired. Called, received very inappropriate customer service from Becky S., was told to send them back so they could see what I meant. (What???) They acted like I was making it up! Sent them back - insured - at my expense. They said they would reimburse me - yeah right. Didn't hear anything, so called again. They said I "didn't send my glasses back to them". Fortunately I had the tracking number and told them when the package arrived there (Dec 21, 2012) & who signed for the package. Weeks went by with no contact from them. I called again to see what the status was. I was told over and over again that my glasses were "in the lab being repaired" and would be sent asap. No one could give me an approximate date when they would be finished. When I called they were so rude. After emailing/speaking to several people (Danielle Q, Korina, Jackie Z) I finally demanded that my glasses be returned and my money credited or I would file a complaint with BBB. That was Feb. 1st. Still no glasses , no credit and have not heard a word from anyone at OpticsFast. These people are a bunch of crooks!!!! Absolutely THE.WORST.CUSTOMER SERVICE. EVER!! Save yourself the headache and go somewherre else.
The price on what I wanted was the lowest I found. I have received my glasses and they are top quality. My only complaint was the customer service. My order was not processed in the time frame they gave me and communication was minimal from their side.
I sent off a pair of Calvin Klein titanium frame designer prescription glasses for repair and have yet to receive them back. I have e-mailed with no response, called, only to be hung up on, put on indefinite hold, and if I do get to speak to someone am always told the same story that their system is down or they can't find my order. I just want my glasses back. I'm moving out of the country any day now, visa pending and need my glasses. Had I known that they were not reliable and slow on service and from what I have been experiencing, dishonest I would never have done business with them. I asked them repeatedly to just send back my glasses, offering to pay for expedited shipping but I am getting no where. When I told them I would file a complaint with the BBB, FTC and a police report, they just shrugged it off like it didn't matter. I just feel sick about the whole thing. I think if I hadn't been so distracted with the move I would have done more in depth research. My guess is any positive reviews for this company are written by the employees themselves.
Please do not purchase anything from this company! For those of you that were satisfied with your product, I would consider having them checked to be sure they arent immitaion. I place an order Feb. 4th I paid $15 extra for faster shipping, I waited until the end of the week for my shipping confirmation, I never recieved it, So I sent an email and recieved a response back from a Ms. Becky S. that she would get on top of it and not stop until she finds out the status of my order. I was initially please with the urgency of her email. However, after waiting several more days and still not hearing back from her I decided to give them a call, I was told basically the same thing by the operator ( did I mention I waited 20 minutes before someone answered?) She said she would check in with Becky to see what the status of my order was! I never heard back from her, So I sent another email, This girl said the exact same thing! SHe would check the status of my order and get back to me. By this point I am livid. The customer service at "Opticsfast" ironically named considering there is nothing fast about this company, was absolutely horendous. I needed my order by the 14th for Valentines day and I was told that they would find out where it was and perhaps have it expidited! Yea ok, why would I believe that when it sounds like you still have no idea where my order even is! So I call back again this time all the friendly has left me. I tell the girl I want to cancel the order, she then tells me she will have to send me their cancelation policy in which I will have to respond back if I agree to it. I said there better not be any issues with this because this is your companys fault! Oh I falied to mention that they charged me for the glasses but then two days later the charge had reversed itself for whatever reason, as if I hadnt purchased anything at all. So I go and check my email, why she couldnt tell me this over the phone is beyond me! Their so called policy you can find under Q & A. not very professional if you ask me. It stated that If you cancel an order once it has left their facility you will be charged a 20% cancelation fee! To which I replied, You're nuts I'm not paying that or for the glasses. I then recived an email from Becky S. stating that I will pay for this or she will place a lien on it and have me sent to collections! I told her you do that, I have already notified my bank to reverse any charges made by your company. She sent a few more colorful messages, apparently she has nothing but time on her hands when she is pushed into a corner, Sounds to me like she likes to argue. The back and forth fued ended with her saying she will send me to collections. I wont deny I sent some pretty nasty emails back to her myself.... at this point I cant help it. All in all it was the worst expirience I have ever had. They have an F rating from BBB and are not considered an actual company. They are scam artist. Stay far far away!
On Wednesday morning Jan 16 I placed an order on Targeteyewear.com for eyeglasses on the price of $149.00 I needed for an event on Wednesday Jan. 22, I paid extra $9.48 for fast 2 days shipping I should be able to prepare it with the right prescription at a local optical
10:37AM I received a confirmation email for my order saying that the estimated delivery date Jan 22-23
Jan 21 Monday morning 3 business days after I placed the order I realized that it was still not shipped… I called Targeteyewear to see what the status is; they promised me that on the 23rd it will be delivered.
Jan 22 I received an email with shipping confirmation
The packaged was delivered on Thursday afternoon 3:36PM, when I came home at 7:00PM there was nothing to do with it, that’s why I want to return the product.
On your return policy it says that Refunds will be issued within 10 business days from receipt of the item and there will be NO restocking fee.
(BTW I also have a huge online company and I know exactly the process of this business
If a customer requests and pays fast shipping it means that it’s a priority, and not you should send it out after a week with USPS first class on a day that there is no mail service)
I ordererd a pair of Persol sunglasses with progressive lenses on 12/20/12. I was told that they would be ready in 3-4 business days. By early January I still had no glasses. I tried to call the company twice and email them once. No response. I assumed they had simply lost the order. When I went to reconcile my credit card statement in the middle of January, I saw that they had charged my card on January 7th. I called them to find out where the glasses were and they said they did not know, that the lenses had not been made up. I told them to cancel the order and refund the money to my credit card. 4 days later a man called me purporting to be the owner. He apologized for the delay and offered to sell me the glasses for $100 off the original price if I would accept the order. He said that he would personnaly make sure that the lab rushed the job. Last week I still had not received the glasses or the credit. I called again on 2/1 and was told that i would be issued a credit that afternoon and that i would have a tracking number for overnight delivery by 2/4. It's 2/4 and I still have not recieved either. I gave them till 5 PM after which I will call AMEX to dispute the charge.
Update 2 days later--I disputed the charge with Amex. The next morning I received an email with a UPS tracking number, and that afternoon the glasses arrived. The prescription was wrong. The right lens is essentially a plano lens, and the left lens is not progressive. Zero for 2. I'm done with this company. Had I gone to this website first, I would never have placed the order. CAVEAT EMPTOR
I was skeptic after reading reviews but I ordered anyways. I could not be happier with my purchase. I ordered a discontinued items and put a note in the comments section as well as a price match. I received the order in the mail 3 days later and it was exactly as ordered. Fast Friendly Service Would shop here again. Thankyou
I ordered a pair of sunglasses. I paid extra for two day shipping. After three days, I called and found that sunglasses had not been shipped. The two day shipping only starts when product is shipped. I asked to cancel order. The cancelation penalty is 20%
So excited to have received my frames yesterday! Their online support had helped me matched online price on the frames I wanted just like they had claimed. I ended up saving so much money buying from them then i would have buying from lenscrafters. The frames were beautiful, with case, cloth, and authenticity card from versace. They had shipped this frames within the 72 hours of receiving payment and took another 3 days to deliver to me since i chose free shipping. Such a wonderful experience. I will recommend to my friends and family. Thanks for everything!
Have a pair prescription reading glasses that with broken nose arm/pads and found the OpticsFast site on the internet. I was excited that I would be able to wear these glasses again! I sent the glasses UPS (two day delivery) and for over six weeks, Becky continued to say (in a tone that wasn't appreciated and implying I was stupid) they had not received them although I had the signature of the person who received them from UPS. I filed a claim with UPS and was ready to chalk this experience as a lesson learned of internet fraud when I received an email that they had received my glasses and to follow the link to the estimated cost. The repair would cost $100 which seemed somewhat expensive to me. Regardless, I want this over with so I agreed to the service. It has now been an additional three weeks and I have yet to see the glasses. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.
I would recommend everyone use OpticsFast.com. My order was easy to place and shipped fast. Once I received my package, the prescription glasses inside were perfect. I had looked at them in a retail store and purchased from OpticsFast.com for a fraction of the price. Don't waste your money in retail stores! Buy from Opticsfast.com instead!
Opticsfast.com is great if you are looking for quality products. They were able to price match the frames I wanted from another site and even gave me a cheaper price. My order also arrived very quickly and the product I received was in great conditions! Thanks guys!
I hate this sorry company. I sent my glasses in on December 15, 2012, with signature confirmation. Each time I call that sorry repetitive music is playing. I've only talked to two representative and I practically call everyday. Now the issue is locating my glasses I sent in. They don't even know where my glasses are. I've been waiting for them to locate them in the "repair warehouse" if any of this is real. I swear it feels like a scam. Linda from the warehouse is suppose to give me a call back. I haven't even got an estimate yet for the frame replacement for the product to even go the lab for repairs. At this point, if the glasses can actually be found "I'm hoping," I just want them returned and I will take my business else where. This company is ACTUALLY SLOW not Opticsfast and there customer services sucks just as much. Everything about them sucks so I wouldn't bother doing business with them unless you want to take a chance on being ripped off or scammed out of your own product. Unsatisfied & pissed off customer!!! Buyers BEWARE.
