Orange offered me the most for my iPhone 5, within 2 days I had my postage packaging sent to me. I sent the phone special delivery which cost around £8 but is worth if an expensive phone got lost in the post! Had my money in my account the day after they sent me an email saying they had received my phone so got my money quicker than expected. All in all good service.
I saw it on the website and popped my details in. Within a few days the envelope had popped through the front door, I sent the phone off and in no time at all i had confirmation that it had arrived and the amount they would be paying for it. I accepted the offer and was emailed back saying the money would be in my bank within 3 days. The whole process took just over a week and I was kept informed at every stage of the process. I would defiantly use this service again.
Disappointed orange reduced amount payable by over 10% due to "light scratches to screen" what do they expect on a two year old phone? I had even put a brand new back on before I returned it so the phone looked pretty much as new, service was pretty slick but payment by cheque took a while. I'll try somewhere else next time!
I had a white iPhone 3GS. Original offered price was £33. Not top dollar, but the online reviews were OK and as I have my new phone on Orange they are a name I could trust. I also liked that they gave a clue online as to what sort of reductions they would make if your phone wasn't in tip-top condition. Mine had a couple of small cracks in the rear casing (not bad - one crack at the bottom about 1" long and one at the top about half an inch). They suggested minor cracks would reduce the offer by about 10%. That was fine.
Envelope arrived quickly to send the phone off to them with postage paid. Great. Then the waiting. Seemed to talk 4/5 days for the phone to arrive. No idea why when it went first class. Took them a few days to come back to me with the offer - which was £19.80. A reduction of 40%! Quite a bit more than the 10% they had suggested online.
As many other people have said in reviews, I really can't be asked to go through the rigmarole of getting the phone sent back; sending it to someone else; and all that for the sake of a tenner. So I took the offer. I suspect they know they have you over a barrel.
Then more waiting for the money. Took a week for an electronic payment to turn up. God knows why.
Overall, not a bad experience - i.e. they took my phone and paid me for it - but I just feel they didn't live up to the original expectations they set around the price, and when you accept the price, they still hang about before they pay you.
Just leaves a bad taste in your mouth - especially when you've got a 2 year contract with them that pays them the best part of £900.
Recycled my old phone, didn't expect to get much for it as it was chipped on the corner of the casing so was really pleased to receive the amount I did. It was easy to organise and send and payment, direct into my bank account, was quick!
I have used a few recycle centres and it appears they now use a method of offering you a good price, then when you send it off they call you with a reduced price. Orange, were quick, simple and made the whole process easy. I will 100% use them again, even if they do not offer quite as much.
Traded in my old phone with Orange Recycle, their offer was way above most of the other websites I checked. Instructions were clear and unambiguous, and I was kept informed of progress at each step of the process. Would highly recommend and would not hesitate to use Orange Recycle in the future.
Excellent services privided to all customers. Great value for money. Additional features such as the *orange recycle* programme is excellent and I would recommend anyone on the network to recycle their old phones. Extremely quick and easy process. Overall I am so far impressed by the company.
Very smooth service and happy with price for my old phone.
Don't expect much for your phone! They will give you a price and then offer you less when they get it, in my case saying that it had minor scraches and then took £2 pounds off. Try selling on e-bay you might get what its worth!
Having just returned from holiday I have seen your email offering £10.00 for two phones. Both phones are scored as 'no fault detected with the device', in which case why I was I not offered £25.00 per phone. If both phones were marked the same why was I just awarded £10.00 for one phone? I find this very disturbing and deceitful and await your reply before taking this further.
