Quick review here. Needed some camping gear, wasn't sure what I needed so called them (three times in all) to check spec and technicalities. Always helpful and always got through straight away. Ordered a lot of gear and all of turned up well in time for my trip. Very pleasant experience indeed.

Outdoor mania were cheaper for my merrell gortex walking shoes than anyone else even on ebay, fantastic service and communication will definitely be using them again
I ordered three items next day delivery.
They didn't arrive in time for my trip so I cancelled the order.
Arrived home a week later to find the items had been delivered and were sitting on my doorstep.
I've no idea how long they were there.
Luckily they were still there and not damaged.
Delivery note indicated only part order delivered.
So I contacted again to cancel the part that was to follow.
And promptly sent the unwanted items back.
10 days later the second part of the order arrived. I've also sent that back.
Don't know why I bothered sending them back as two months later I still haven't had a refund or a single email answered or a single phonecall answered within an hour.
I'm so upset by the whole thing.
Really really wish I'd seen the reviews before I spent money I really can't afford to lose.
Terrible just terrible. Please don't ignore the bad reviews. They really are crooks :-(
Ordered a 'next' day delivery item .Didn't arrive as promised so contacted them asking where the order was, they actually replied (which I now know to be extremely unusual ) saying there was a delay in delivery of the item, but it would arrive within the week or when the supplier took delivery .I replied advising that I needed the goods for a forth coming holiday, and therefore needed to cancel the order. This I did THREE times via e mail, I gave up with a phone call life was too short. When my credit card statement arrived last week they had charged me for the item (a total of £117),however I have never received the goods.I have tried to contact Outdoormania but to no avail and am now taking legal action to reclaim my money.
I must admit, after reading several reviews on here, I was very sceptical about ordering off this lot. However as there were some good reviews, and there price was the best I could find, I did order. And I have to say I am glad that I did! There service was superb. I rang first to check them out, got straight through and was given some good advice on what to buy (even saving me a few more pounds). The parcel with the jacket and pants turned up next day and it fitted perfectly thanks to the advice I was given. The telephone operator was very polite and courteous and the goods have been brilliant. My only slight negative was the packaging that the good came in, though everything else was so good, I have to give them five stars.
Ordered items from OutdoorMania and a week later they had not arrived and had no confirmation of them being dispatched. Was on hold for over 1 hour 15 minutes before giving up and sending a mail to cancel the order. Items arrived the day we got home and now I have to pay over £5.00 to return and still can't get in touch with them.
Maybe they make their money from making people wait hours on the complaints line which they charge for?
Stay clear of this company - just not worth the hassle.
Part of my order arrived without problems within 3 days but 1 item was outstanding. I was not told if or when it was coming, so I sent an email with no response. Holiday approaching and desperate for information, I telephoned and was held in a queue of 4 people for 49 mins, now furious, I was told, "Sorry, I don't know why you were waiting so long, I only had one other person waiting". I asked for £2 off my order as a gesture of good will towards my telephone bill but "that's not our policy". The item didn't arrive when they said it would, so I sent another email; no reply in 24 hours so I telephoned but they were closed due to snow. Strangely though, I got an email about 30mins later saying my item was no longer in stock. We're off skiing tomorrow and my son has no ski pants.... and Outdoormania will not have my business again. Oh Yes, and there's no mention of when I will be credited, so I guess that'll be another problem. Should have known by the logo.
I have had a mixed experience, part of my order arrived promptly and 5 star but another part was "to follow". I then endured the phone system to cancel on the basis of the reviews out there. On getting through and talking to customer services they admitted that they did not have enough stock to fulfill my order but could part fulfill the remainder which I opted to do, cancelling that bit they could not honour. My view is that for understandable cashflow reasons they do not hold a lot of stock and therefore can get caught short when they then need to get stock from suppliers. If I am right then they at worst need to beef up their customer services and information from their suppliers. I have sympathy given the current economic environment but bad reviews may kill them off.......
Absolutely terrible experience, worst I have had on the Internet shopping! Definitely one to avoid. To cut a long story short....
- ordered a jacket and gloves, for delivery 1-3 days for a skiing trip.
- 1 week later, no delivery and no communication from outdoor mania (their phone service is a waste of time, took over 40mins to get through).
- cancelled order after 10 days of ordering as no sign of my goods arriving!
- a week after cancelling the goods arrive! But I had already brought elsewhere!
- emailed them but still no response 2 weeks on!

This is the first review i've ever written but felt compelled to write it after reading so many bad reviews!
The ski jacket I ordered was £60 less with outdoor mania than any other website I looked at and it arrived within 3-5 working days as promised.
I was so concerned,after reading all of the other reviews, that it wouldn't arrive that I even called my bank to try and cancel the payment! Needless to say I shouldn't have worried!
I do agree that emails don't get responded to as I sent one enquiring about my order after reding so many poor reviews but, that aside, I would fully recommend this company!
I am sitting waiting to get a response from their phone queuing system - 35 minutes in and getting VERY frustrated. No response to my three emails chasing an order placed 11 days ago. Irrespective of the outcome of this call (and I am not hopeful) I will be getting my Credit Card company to obtain a full refund and I will be contacting Trading Standards. I suggest any other customer with similar issues does likewise......
Avoid this company at all costs. The customer service that they provide is truly appalling. I didn't ever receive the goods that I ordered and when I, eventually, managed to get a refund from OutdoorMania they had the cheek to deduct the cost of p&p!! They never answered any of the numerous emails that I sent them even though according to their website this is their preferred means of communication. I was therefore forced to use their abysmal 0844 phone service on which I was left queueing for almost an hour on each occasion that I used it. This ended up costing me several pounds in phone bills.
I have never reviewed any company before but this company and it's appalling customer service has pressed all the wrong buttons! I so wish that I had read reviews before I had been lured by the attractive prices. You don't get anything for nothing and that somes this company up. Although the most damage done is a loss of about £25 from a pair of 'missing' ski trousers it is the principle of the matter that counts - they never communicate with emails and instead your are forced to spend hours queuing to talk to them on the phone. If they decide to resolve this issue promptly - I shall review my comments
Please do not order anything from this company. We ordered over £400.00 worth of ski clothing expecting to have it dispatched within a few days. We tried to phone the company several times to determine when our order was due to be dispatched. Over several phone calls at an hour each time and still no luck to speak to an operator. After several emails requesting to cancel this order and trying to cancel my credit card payment, I have been informed today that goods have been dispatched. Too late as we go skiing tomorrow. Now I have to fight to get a refund for goods we cancelled over a week ago and also request my credit card company to take legal action.
I would recommend that you stay away from this company!!!!
I placed an order on Dec 30th for a pair of Merrell walking shoes. I sent an enquiry email on Jan 4th after my order was still "awaiting allocation" and had no response. After calling their 0844 number and being on hold for over 40 minutes only to be cut off at being number 4 in queue, I sent another email on the 9th and yet again got no reply. I still had heard no word by the 13th and emailed them again to cancel my order and today I managed to get through on the phone despite calling at 10am on the dot (when their limited rip off line opens) and being 4th in line.... I eventually managed to cancel my order successfully. This company are a joke. They don't give a toss about customer service and even if they are slightly cheaper it's less hassle to go to Tiso or Go Outdoors. Outdoormania you are a disgrace!!!
Not impressed at all. Ordered a gilet and it said was in stock for next day delivery. 1 week later, no updates and I'm wondering where it is...receive an email saying 'order cancelled- out of stock'. Why would this take 8 days to tell me? Disgusting.
Do not believe the in stock next day delivery. It will say in stock next day delivery but they don't know. To quote the customer service rep (after waiting 45 minutes) its not a live stock system. I would say that they also have a max of 1 person to sort out the inevitable mess this causes. Based on the 45 min wait being 4th in line to start with
I placed an order on 4th Dec 2012 for a pair of boots and a pair of gloves. They were supposed to be Christmas presents.
Hadn't heard anything from them so sent them an email on 14th Dec 2012 to find out the progress of the order.
Heard nothing, no response from them at all.
I then sent a complaint email on 27th Dec stating that I was very disappointed that the gifts had not arrived in time for Christmas. I stated that we still wanted the goods so if they could get them to us by 5th Jan then I would be happy with that but if not that I would cancel the order.
They then sent me an email today 30th Dec 2012 (the first response to any of my emails) cancelling the order themselves.
They didn't apologize for wasting my time or even try to rectify the issue.

terrible terrible service, i was sent the wrong size shoe but somehow this was my fault, apparently I have to pay the postage to return them also even though my original order had the correct size on it, trying to get to speak to a person is a joke and when you do you just get excuse after excuse, i was promised a refund straight away but after 4 days still waiting. the refund i am sure will not have the price of the return postage
Ordered on the 4/12/12 Still haven't received any dispatch confirmation and they have not responded to any of my 3 e-mails sent just asking were my order is, also called them on there automotive phone system number 1 in the queue for 30 Mins? then I was hung up on once answered. Ordered a Helly Hensen base layer which I have now purchased else where and received in good order! Nightmare how customers can be discarded once the purchase has been made. RUBBISH!! Now in the process of trying to get refund, fingers crossed...
I ordered two jackets from Let'sHike.co.uk, which is the same company as Outdoormania.
Following the order, I discovered a raft of horror stories located on this review page. I have previously fallen victim to internet companies, so the discovery of negative feedback caused concern.
Regardless, I am pleased to say that the goods arrived as per order. The only observations I would make are:
1. The packaging was less than desirable - the jackets had been stuffed inside a grey plastic bag with the delivery companies tape securing the package.
2. There was no correspondence inside with the delivery - A little harsh considering I have an e-receipt.
3. There was no email to notify that the purchase had been processed and sent for delivery. However, the company promises (where stock is not an issue) that your purchase will arrive between 1-3 days. I ordered on a Sunday and received at 0930hrs on a Tuesday. Very fast delivery.
I was satisfied with the overall service. People place a lot of emphasis on communication. Whilst it is important, the main thing is that the items purchased arrive early, in good condition and per the website description. To this end, I have no problems with the company but had there been an issue the lack of communication could present as a chronic issue.
Placed an order on their web site on Nov 25th 2012. no updates on order status appeared on site. Called them to cancel and was informed that they were unable to cancel because item was dispatched previous day (?). After that website status was updated (?). On next call was informed that theay are able to reverse delivery to get item returned instead delivered - they rejected request to do so. Parcel got sutck in Citylink network. Called Outdoormania again and again - after 7 days they still refused to refund as "had to wait for Citylink to confirm parcel lost". Outdoormania keeps the money and will not refund (knowing I received nothing) untill delivery company of THEIR choice confirms parcel lost. No time frames given ever for any of process steps. Outdoormania never answered any of many emails sent to them. Only way to contact them is to call them on 0844 chargeable phone nr. Average wait is 15 minutes plus 5-10 minutes which gives average of 20 minutes of chargeable call paid to Outdoormania via BT. This all is just to get your money back because THEY failed. Giving them 1 start as negative numbers are not possible. Be warned - never register with OUTDOORMANIA, never give them your card details. They charge the customers card immediately after you place the order. Their email lies saying that they will charge the card when dispatched.
Update 11-12-2012: Received email from Outdoormania saying they are issuing the refund. No refund received though. Still waiting.
Update 13-12-2012: Finally received full refund. It took 2 weeks and at least 120 minutes on 0844 nr chargeable phone to Outdoormania to achieve this.
I ordered a couple of Berghaus fleeces on the 2/11/12 and paid by credit card. I got the usual email saying thank you and confirmation of your order etc and on the 6/11/12, I received a dispatch confirmation email with tracking details.
However, when I clicked on the link, all I got was a message saying " job number does not exist ". I waited a couple of days and emailed outdoor mania to confirm my items had been dispatched. I again waited a few days but got no reply so I decided to email again. Once again, no reply.
I waited about two weeks then tried to telephone them. I eventually got through to a human being after listing to crappy music for around 15 minutes, She confirmed there was a problem with the couriers tracking details and that she would ring me back after half an hour.
Guess what ? No phone call back! I decided to ring the next day and once again explained to problem. I was promised an email back but surprise, surprise, nothing after a waiting another week.
It is now the 29/11/2012 and have no goods or contact from outdoor mania. I am just about to contact my credit card company to try and get my money back. I am sure that they have many happy customers but just remember if things go wrong, outdoor mania have the worst customer service people I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.
Placed an order online because it was only place with the jacket in stock. After 3 days I received an automated email informing me the jacket wasn't in stock and would be delayed. It said new stock was arriving all the time and order would be reprocessed. A quick look on other companies websites showed very few had the jacket in stock (those that did were charging £40 more) and some were stating it was discontinued. I was then suspicious that I would get the jacket at all, and whilst attempting to get a contact number for outdoormania stumbled upon this site. After reading all the reviews my scenario seemed very familiar and I decided to cancel the order. Luckily the comments about spending 20mins on a premium rate phone line put me off ringing and I emailed instead. Don't know whether the email was read or not but 24hrs later my jacket arrived.
So even when you get that 'out of stock' email there's still hope. I received the jacket 10 days after the order was placed and my only complaint is that they never informed me that the stock had arrived or my order had been dispatched. A quick update would have stopped the worry.
Ordered a walking jacket. Girl was great on the phone. Price was the best on the Internet and it arrived next day. What more can I say?
I need to commend Outdoormania on their service and their expertise. Not only do they have a fantastic looking website and low prices but their level of knowledge is unsurpassed. I have called them on a number of occasions to seek advice on walking gear and skiwear and always they are knowledgeable on the subject and provide the right advice, You certainly do not get that with Amazon. Even if you can get through to them, they are completely clueless - a company that is only interested in maiking money and shifting boxes. Against the crowd Outdoormania really stands out for porividing the best in technical assistance. Companies like these are a dying breed. Be careful, continue to buy from Amazon and other box shifters and there will be nobody left to provide real knowledge and support. Outdoormania - the last of the real independents.

I rang them, got straight through and said I didn’t want the jacket because I didn’t think it would be warm enough. I was amazed that the girl knew so much about what they sell. She explained exactly what the jacket was I had bought and helped me decide that the jacket would have been warm enough. However she drew my attention to another jacket which was just as war, looked even better, was more breathable and was half the price. She saved me over £40 on what i had originally ordered and I got a better jacket. She also told me that I had ordered the wrong size because HH jackets come up small and sorted everything out. The jacket arrived next day and fitted really well. I even called her back to thank her and to tell her that I liked the jacket so much. She said if I was happy then I should tell someone. So here is my review: Outdoormania is really good, their products are good and their prices are cheap. Outdoormania’s staff are friendly and know lots about the things they sell. They deliver quickly and help people out. Five stars.
Have to comment on the outstanding service of Campmania and Outdoormania - and that just isn't a one off, it's always. Counting back I have ordered a total of six times off the Mania sites for outdoor clothing, footwear, a tent and ski clothing. Not once have I ever experienced a problem. Best of all, their sites always seem to have the best prices. On only one occasion have I ever received goods on the day after I was expecting, but in that instance, they emailed almost immediately after I placed the order to inform me that the jacket I had ordered was still on its way in to them so would be delayed to me by one day. As the description detailed that the delivery of the jacket could take between one and three days, this was still within their stated timescale. On the other five occasions, goods have arrived the very next day. I really do not understand how some of these reviews could appear. I can only conclude that there must be some very unlucky people around or some very malicious ones (probably Outdoormania’s competitors). Many thanks for your excellent service over the last three years. I shall no doubt be ordering again.
I live a short distance from Outdoormania's shop. I checked the stock of the item I wanted online and it stated it was in stock so I went down to the retail outlet to purchase. Lo and behold the item I wanted was not there. The customer service was terrible and it sounded like a scam to me. It seems as though they allow people to purchase things online under false pretences i.e stating they are in stock when they are not. Beware of using this company.
I have ordered from this company three times now and always I have received exemplary service. So much so that I felt compelled to write this review. I have ordered skiwear, outdoor gear and most recently a family tent. On a couple of occasions I have needed to contact them to check sizing and for general advice. On one occasion I had to wait in a queued call system for a couple of minutes but always when I speak to their operators I find them cheery, professional and very helpful. Role in their rapid often next day delivery and fantastic pricing on everything they sell and I really cannot fault the company, their products or their service.
I originally wrote a terrible review about this company but i take back what i said. Although my order arrived a day later than the 1-3 delivery specified on their site and they didn't update the status of my order, my goods arrived so i'm happy.
I have ordered off this company on a number of occasions and always receive the goods on time and in good order. I have sometimes had reason to call to check sizing and to ask for advice and always I receive a prompt, friendly and efficient serice. I really cannot understand why they seem to receiving negative reviews and can only summise that somebody has it in for them. Keep up the good work and I for one will certainly beordering from them aain.
Horrendous customer service. Ordered some boots 5 weeks ago which were in stock. 3 weks later receive e mail stating problem with order and there was a delay. E mail yesterday cancelling order! As with another dissatisfied customer wish I had read reviews before ordering.
It seems, for reasons beyond my comprehension, that this company's main business objective is to frustrate customers!
Order are not processed, emails not responded to and their contact number is Premium!

Goods came quick and on time but there was an issue with one item. So sent back & thats when the problems start.
- E-Mails do not get a reply. Think they just junk mail them
- Phoning takes a life time to get through & then you get put on hold for another life time. Then they just want to get you off the line to say they will call you back. Silly mistake as they never do.
Still waiting over a month to get an item replaced but some feedback on the progress would be nice.
How does a company that has such a bad customer service like this survive is beyond me..

I ordered ski trousers and goggles,which were listed in stock and delivery was within three days.I attempted to cancel the order after they did not arrive ,rang and waited on a phone premium call line ,that was never answered and I was always sixth in the queue day or night and no replies to a host of emails,there was not a single reply!!!They eventually arrived a month later and I am now in contact with my credit card company to arrange a refund.
DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES BUY FROM THIS COMPANY
Unfortunately, I purchased from this shower before I read all the negative reviews on this site, but I can confirm all they say - communication from this cowboy outfit is NIL. Impossible to get through on their premium rate phone line unless you want to rack up a bank-busting bill and you have the patience of Job, and they NEVER answer the emails you send. Prices may be low, but this is because they obviously don't employ anyone.
This cynical lack of customer service means they will soon go bust, so some poor soul is going to lose their money and won't get their order - be warned!
They sent the wrong size. I sent it back. I know they got it because I sent it with a post office parcel tracker. I've e-mailed them and heard nothing.
I've sent another e-mail to them today but will also be in touch with trading standards.
