I had ordered a number of parts from Overclockers, one of which was a GPU that developed a fault after 9 months. After putting a post on the OCUK forum, I received a prompt reply from Bailey who assisted me in filing an RMA to return the GPU to their offices. I posted the item on Wednesday, which was received on a Thursday and within a couple of hours the part was confirmed faulty and I was informed of the next step in getting a replacement. By the end of the day, i had been notified of a replacement being shipped out under 'next day delivery' which i received by the end of the week. I got some Haribo Tangfastics too!
I highly recommend OCUK. Their customer service is one of the best i have had the pleasure of using, especially with regards to returns. The online forum is very useful in providing a simple yet efficient way of communicating with the customer service staff.
So recently, due to changing my mind about my order I contaced OcUK customer service to look at an exchange for something different.
Bailey was quickly in touch and organised everything with no hastle.
Simply A+++ service.
So I ordered a new motherboard from OCUK, board came next day despite my order being quite late in the day; bonus.
After I recieved the board, I realised that I had to update the BIOS in order to use the processor I had, no biggie, done this a few times in the past. So I used an older compatible CPU to boot up. There was no option in the boards BIOS to update, and I had to install windows to update BIOS, using Foxconn's provided utility. Update performed and asked for a reboot, after which the board wouldn't even POST!
So had a look at Foxconn's tech support, which they state they are not liable for any damage or mishaps due to BIOS update, despite the fact I had to update the BIOS to use a processor which they claimed was supported out of the box. Thanks, Foxconn -_-
So I got in touch with the guys at OCUK, explained the situation, and since it was no fault of their own or anything they were liable for, they offered to replace the board before I even asked! And to top it off, I asked if they could flash the latest BIOS before sending the new board, which they offered to do free of charge.
All on a sub £20 motherboard. I could not be more impressed!
Oh, and free haribo with my order = WIN :)
The communication is second to none for pre-sales & after-sales support. Extremely friendly and an absolute pleasure to deal with. Recieved shipping notice at 5.30pm and received the product 8am the next morning. Their relationship with their couriers is top notch. Also you one of the only places to have the lightning gtx 780 waterblock :)
I always used OCUK because of, interestingly, the layout of the online shop. Compared to the likes of SCAN it is so much easier to list product properly, by price or by manufacturer, it takes me about 3x as long to navigate other sites. And then they came out with free shipping for loyal members, never looked back since. I must say it has improved a lot in terms of customer service since the European case builder owners took over from Mr Proudfoot, it was good back then but now it is excellent, via the forum you can have a one-one conversation with shop staff and they are extremely helpful and quick to answer any of your questions.
Then you look at the products and not only do they seem to have the most in stock, earlier than their competitors, but they are cheaper as well!
And you get haribo in your orders, which I don't eat but give to the DPD guy who delivers it, which makes me feel like I have done a good deed for the day!
I recently had to change my order and Bailey from ocuk staff was extremely helpful in dealing with the return of the goods.
Ocuk have always had the best deals, excellent value for money and excellent customer service!
I highly recommend them.
Had some issues with an expensive order and Bailey from customer service resolved everything without a fuss, replacement arranged without drama..stunning level of service. Would recoomend them to anyone, and regularly do.
Bailey is an asset to the company. Buy in confidence!
Purchased a ram kit via ocuk. Unfortunately it turned out to be faulty. Contacted customer service to arrange an rma. Received the rma no very quickly. I also asked for an alternative kit to be sent out. Again this was no problem. Sent the faulty kit back on a friday, had my new ram kit delivered the following tuesday. Really impressed with the level of service.
I bought a number of items ... Overclockers prices usually pretty good.
Purchased items for a PC build and 13 months later, Graphics card developed h/w fault ........ expected to have to buy new, was hoping I may get a discount due to early failure ...was surprised when advised it has 3 yrs warranty.
Initial contact took a while ... site advises to to fill in a web note with comments response in 24Hrs ... after 2 days no response - tried again, and got a response in minutes.
Clear instructions that card is under warranty and to create an RMA.
Sent card back, received mail to confirm it had arrived, and another then to say it has gone to manufacturer.
This type of communication makes the difference to whether you will come back for business ... this is how it should be done, not leaving you guessing.
Yet to get card fixed ... that is now down to 'MSI' but impressed with Overclockers
Spending a lot on a computer upgrade is always a little daunting and you have to look deeper than price. Customer service holds a lot of weight in the decision making process.
OcUK not only have the best prices on average but they have by far and away the best customer service.
Over the last couple of weeks I've be annoying Gibbo, 5UB and Bailey with questions, demands and general indecision....They've been patient, honest and all round top notch when it comes to customer satisfaction.
After 500 questions (give or take) I ordered a 780 Phantom which arrived speedily........the phantom is lovely card and very quiet but it's 2.5 slots wide.....my mistake....
I contacted them via their forums and got a return without hassle.
Now I'm going to annoy them again with more questions :p
I had an issue with my sons razer chimaera headset and the guys at overclockers mainly Bailey went above and beyond then beyond that to help me get a replacement.
I cant speak highly enough of him and overclockers. There forum is great and there shop is amazing and the after care service is second to none.
Overclockers UK are absolutely amazing, there is no question about it. My delivery was 1 day late (DPD's fault, not Overclockers). They refunded me postage in full. I asked to change an item in my order and they upgraded me to it for free. The monitor I purchased went down in price, and they refunded me the difference.
They have the best customer service I have *ever* experienced, there is no question about it. I will continue to use Overclockers for all my computer needs, knowing that they're there whenever I need it.
Big thanks to James Gane (webnote), Bailey (forums) and 5UB. They have been fantastic when sorting out a few issues that came up. I will not hesitate recommending this company to anybody who asks. The free haribo with your order is a nice plus, too! Especially when they add extra haribo to your order.
Just fantastic. If I could give 10 stars I would, but 5 is the max!
Been a customer for a while now and i have never had a problem with them. I have had a few delivery arrive late at no fault of Overclockers, but they have refunded my delivery charge each time. A+
I have been buying products from OCUK for several years now and have had a chance to talk to several of the staff from sales to tech support, all have been great, polite, informative and very helpful.
Most recently, James Bailey took the extra mile in solving a slightly complicated issue I had with one of their vendors and now im one happy customer.
The staff at OCUK are among the best I've ever encountered.
They have been extremely helpful and understanding with all the changes I've made to orders, returning damaged parts and just generally making my experience enjoyable one, even when things go wrong!
I have been buying from OCUk for the last 4 years. I have never ever had an issue with their level of service! There is no other word to describe the work they do other than outstanding.
The customer services staff go out of their way to put you right if anything should go wrong.
Highly recommended to all.
Ive been buying from Overclockers for years now and ive never had any trouble with them they have always been top notch when asking questions about products and order quires, They always deliver exactly what you want and need with no fuss and with competitive pricing, Even if they did get beaten on price i would still shop with them as i know with them if anything does go wrong ive got pice of mind they will do everything they can to help
I bought a manufacturer refurbished Corsair H100 a number of weeks ago but it started to fail with temp spikes on the CPU indicating that the pump was on it's way out. I spoke to OCUK and without question replaced the H100. They also refunded the £10 postage it had cost me to send the failed unit back to them.
I asked on the forum about RMAing the H100 and a chap named Bailey posted up to offer guidance.
OCUK's service and customer is what really sets them apart, whilst not always being the cheapest I would thoroughly recommend sending your custom their way.
i bought a coolermaster sickle flow fan for my new aerocool fan controller and it was making a buzzing noise, as it didnt like the pwm from the controller, i asked OC UK if i could send it back and purchase a different one as there was absolutely nothing wrong with the fan which they replied yes i can and they would give me a full refund for it!
absolutely great customer service with no problems at all and really helpful on the phone aswel and they also dispatch the items very quickly!
i always use OC UK for my computer stuff and will continue to do so as i know that if i have a problem it gets sorted with ease and with no hassle
OcUK staff are amazing nothing is to much trouble.Only sell quality goods which they are only to happy to give advise on. In the advent that something does go wrong the staff will deal with it very quickly and are always contactable. Great deals great staff .Amazing customer service.
I have bought from OCUK many times before and their service is second to none with a great website which is a breeze to navigate. They always have someone on the forums to answer questions that you may have which is something I have never seen before, and they have extremely good prices.
My PC kept crashing, and after posting on the Overclockers forum the friendly and informative community helped me diagnose a problem with my Ram.
A quick message left in Component Technical Support was replied to within the hour by Bailey, one of the OC staff, he talked me through the returns policy and with prompt replies to my Noob questions left me feeling happy i was in good hands and my problem would be dealt with promptly.
I posted the Ram, and have just been informed by Bailey at OC that my new Ram is going to ship today. It's been less than a week since i posted the Ram to OC, that's one hell of a fast service, i will have no problem using them in the future.
I would fully recommend OCUK to anyone looking to buy computer components in the UK. Their prices are great, they usually have some great deals going on and their customer service is excellent.
They have excellent one-to-one customer support via their forums, which I have experienced first hand. Bailey, one of the OcUK staff members on the forum, dealt with my query quickly and efficiently. I was able to return an item I no longer wanted but had gone over their 14-day return policy (Distance Selling Regulations is usually 7-days!).
I've used OcUK on several occasions, they are normally priced fairly well although if ordering several items you can usually find one or two cheaper elsewhere. SSDs are a particular weakness of OcUK, usually being cheaper elsewhere. This pricing isn't really the fault of OcUK, and can be seen throughout the industry: indeed, you'll also often find other items are cheaper on OcUK than on other sites, so it works out in the end. Where OcUK come into their own, however, is when you've been a member on their forum for a while and get free delivery: saving £10-20 per order on delivery can quickly make up for cheaper prices elsewhere.
Their customer service is generally excellent with problems dealt with quickly. My only complaint is that on one occasion my entire £1000 order was held up due to a £25 out of stock item which was pretty superfluous to the main order, and they didn't bother informing me. Once I noticed the problem myself they completed the rest of the order quickly, but it was only luck that meant I noticed the issue rather than waiting for my machine for a week or more.
I'll undoubtedly use them again, although continue to shop around when buying multiple components: an order spread between two or three companies usually works out cheaper.
Only one word describes OcUK; Sublime
Sublime in every aspect of their business from customer relations, Product range, website (I've always liked their website), quality of service, delivery timing etc etc.
I've been using OcUK since buying my first build back in 1999 i believe.. time passes quickly so could be wrong. I remember I had a problem with one of my memory sticks. A quick call and the problem was rectified quickly and efficiently.
I have used OcUK for my PC components ever since and glad to say I have built a good relationship with some of the staff and forums over the years.
The true nature of the PC components, no matter who you shop with, means there's always going to be DOA or faulty parts but a good supplier is one who listens and understands their customers. OcUK have never made a fuss or quibble with anything I've raised or returned. They always put the customer first and go the extra mile when it matters. This being the difference between very good and sublime.
All the best
I have been buying from overclockers for years now and have never had a problem with them. However they exceeded my expectations today. I have been looking for a small populated NAS solution for my business and did some research online. Overclockers weren't quite the cheapest so i contacted their customer service on the forum and offered them a chance to price match. Not only did they do that but they also offered to build it and test it!!!
If you add to this the superb delivery service, which includes being emailed and sent a text with a 1 hour time slot (you can even track the van online!) you really can't go wrong. Thankyou OCUK
OcUK have always been keenly priced. They carry a great selection of parts and are extremely fast to deliver. More importantly, they are extremely swift and communicative when dealing with RMAs. I sometimes get Haribo sweets in the box which is a nice touch.
Paul Hudson found this review useful
OCUK are easily the most efficient, reliable and customer-focused retailer I have ever ordered from. I am a seasoned PC builder for several years and I have used probably most retailers out there. They have a huge selection of components and good amounts of stock. The forum is a wealth of knowledge and support and prices are quite competitive. Customer service is incredible. Always fast responses on web or phone and they deal with RMAs and returns very efficiently. I rarely use any other company. Even if a product is a few £ more expensive with OCUK, I'd still buy from them as the customer service rewards dividends later.
I have reviewed OCUK before so apologies if I am repeating myself! I have spent vast sums of money with OCUK over the years, i.e. everytime I build a new PC = £2k+. PC gaming is not for the faint hearted and problems do happen but I am always surprised at how quickly and patiently OCUK staff help me. If an item goes out of stock, like today in fact, they are always quick to ring/advise to ensure you don't miss your order being released. I also had a faulty Mouse while at LAN and they sorted it for me quickly. The OCUK forum is also a great place to loiter and collect useful advice. The OCUK staff are on the forum too and it is nice to actually put a name to a face when you see them at LANs or other events. I think they have a fun time working at OCUK!! Their "OCUK TechLab" range is also quite innovative and I have just bought a customer 240mm AIO cooler called the Fathom. Reviews to come later. Anyway, enough rambling, I would recommend OCUK to anyone who is serious about PC hardware and other bits.
Big shout outs to 5UB and Bailey!
I have always shopped @Overclockers for all my PC components and they always deliver! I have not had one bad experience with them over the 2-3 odd years I've shopped with them and their customer service and support is right up there with the best if not THE BEST! Let's not forget to mention their delivery standard is top notch, can't fault them from dispatch through to delivery it is always quick and efficient.
They have a wide range of components and peripherals as well as many other stuff at competitive prices. Their forums as well is so good to use to communicate with other PC enthusiasts as well as staying up to date with tech news and deals.
Also, 5UB is a God.
Highly recommend Overclockers UK.
