Every time I buy from Overclockers, I know that the item I am buying is top quality. The delivery will be as stated, and there's a bag of Haribo in the box 😊.. If in the rare circumstance there is a problem, the customer service is top notch and the problem is resolved promptly.
Very happy being an Overclockers customer and will always recommend them to friends, customers and anyone else needing quality components or ready built systems.
Bought a brand new laptop from Overclockers only to discover the DVD drive would not eject at all. This part isn't their fault but when I sent the laptop back, after waiting for an eternity, they ring me up and say that there is nothing wrong with the DVD drive at all which I found very puzzling. When I got the laptop back the DVD drive worked as they must have replaced it themselves. However, I also found the MSI warranty seal broken meaning that my warranty with the manufacturer has now been voided. Instead of replacing the laptop like any normal company would do, they decided to lie to me directly over the phone and total the 2 year warranty I paid for when I bought the laptop. Not impressed.
Update: I was later contacted by Overclockers support who re-enabled my warranty with MSI and offered me freebies for the troubles I encountered. If you have any problems with a product or even support, let Overclockers know and their support staff will take care of it :)
Overclockers UK is by far the best UK outlet for computer hardware and software alike. Their staff are on hand at all times to help with any issues and are completely professional and easy to talk to both via phone calls or on their forums.
They sell items at a very competitive pricing range and they offer the best delivery service I have ever experienced with an online retailer. Not only do they offer a free delivery for 'members' but the items delivered arrive very quickly.
They are a fantastic company with whom I have stuck loyal with for the past 3 years and will do so for the foreseeable future.
Excellent service from beginning to end.
Started with the forum community that helped me put a complete spec together with lots of help and useful advice.
Then onto the shop with superb notifications from order confirmation, dispatch and shipping. Down to the text giving me an hour time slot when the items would be delivered.
The after sales support is clear and concise and helps you through at every step. I had an issue with the motherboard, which I RMA'd back to the shop. Posted out on the Friday, I had confirmation it had been received on the Monday. Tuesday I had notification that the replacement unit had been shipped and dispatched and again Wednesday morning a text giving me an hour slot that day when it would arrive.
Very happy bunny and would happily recommend to others. Thanks OcUK and a shoutout to Bailey on the forums for handling the RMA process for me :)
I had a bit of an issue with a graphics card I purchased but this was dealt with promptly and professionally. The customer service received was way beyond expectations and I'm more than happy with the results. An all round superb experience and I would not hesitate to buy from them again.
I would recommend OCUK for both sales and after service care without any hesitation.
I recently had a major system crash, leading me to doubt the motherboard or CPU of an overclocked bundle from OCUK, purchased in June 2011.
I called OCUK and was passed through to James Bailey, returns manager at OCUK. He patiently listened to my problem, agreed with my diagnosis and was willing to take both components back for testing (I couldn't do this as I didn't have the necessary known good spares).
In addition to this, James went above and beyod the formal process and responsibilities to me as a customer, assisting me in speccing new components I decided to purchase the replacements.
At all times I have had friendly, knowledgable and fast communication in relation to my problem. The hardware testing and return process has been personally managed and resolved above my best expectation and I am truely grateful.
A few weeks ago my graphics card started acting up. I had to send it back to OcUK, as Sapphire don't provide coverage, but it was covered by the 2 year warranty. I send the card back, and OcUK kept me posted the whole way through the process.
I eventually got a full refund for a 2 year old card, quite possibly the best outcome ever. I'm very happy, and will likely remain a loyal OcUKer for a long time.
Long story short, Overclockers UK are not very good at stock management, poor at communicating problems, and goes against all trading standards and law. In the end I returned everything back to Overclockers. I had total of 6 visits by the courier; that is 3 deliveries, and 3 returns. This equates to a week of my time wasted.
I advise that you avoid Overclockers if possible and look elsewhere e.g. ebuyer.com or dabs.co.uk etc. If only if I were compensated for the time wasted I would be giving this a nicer review. Unfortunately there isn't an option to give Overclockers UK rating of ZERO stars.
The long story:
I ordered everything on the 5th August 2013 to be delivered on 21st August 2013. Unfortunately you can not choose beyond two weeks (14 days) for planned delivery; and meant that by ordering 2 days later, prices of the items I wanted to buy shot up by £200. So I decided to drop those items that are no longer on sale. At the time all the items I ordered were in stock except for the graphics card which was a pre-order. Surely 2 weeks is plenty of time to get everything in stock.
On the 21st August I received just one item out of the seven showed up. After discussing with the customer service team, the only thing that was holding the rest of the order was the memory card. So I decided to change that to hope that to receive everything the next day.
On the Thursday 22nd August, I receive 5 more items: (1)CPU, (2)CPU cooler, (3)Motherboard, (4)hard drive and (5)PC case. I didn't even receive the power supply as it was out stock all of a sudden. I was then informed that the power supply was to be delivered the next day. After inspecting of the items I received, everything except for the power supply were already opened and tampered with. The CPU and the hard drive were not in its original packaging. This was unacceptable, and very dishonest the last straw and decided to return everything.
I was given a return (RMA) number to return selected items, however it stated in the email that only the selected items should be returned otherwise extra charges will be made. So that meant I had to leave out the graphics card.
On Friday 23rd August, I managed to return the 5 items (except for the graphics card) and refuse to accept the delivery of the power supply.
On Tuesday 27th August, I was placed on hold on the phone for approximately 30 minutes, only to inform Overclockers that I still have their graphics card I want to return it. And also reminded them that I am not accepting the power supply which would be delivered that day. And so they arranged a courier for the next day to pick up the graphics card.
On Wednesday 28th August (today), I get a message that I am expecting another delivery!!! After returning the graphics card, I refused to accept the delivery of the power supply. Hopefully that is the last time I will hear from them.
I apologise for the long story, but I feel that this should shared (and on other review websites) to ensure that everyone should avoid them. Overclockers UK are misleading and very dishonest as a business company; and they will take every opportunity to give you used items rather than brand new items of which you expected to receive. Great Products at a reasonable cost..
Sure some places can be a littler cheeper but when it counts their people deliver.. They never fob you off and always talk to you like you matter. They resolve problems quickly and efficiently and dont try to blame you or make you feel stupid if you do have a problem. Their phone support is great and you can leave comments on the forum as well and they get back normally the next day if not the same day.
Delivery is quick and when you want it. as you expect.
Fully recommend them.
Recently purchased a Nvidia GTX 670 from ocuk on a today only special, card turned out to have some weird fault where it would require underclocking to pass certain benchmarks etc, took some video of the card in two different pc's showed them to James Bailey in the customer support forums who did an excellent job all around and couldn't have been more helpful. Getting a replacement card sent out on receipt of my faulty one, cant say fairer than that, its things like the customer support at OCUK that keeps me coming back, couldn't recommend them highly enough.
I had an ongoing issue with my pc with a fairly unspecific cause. Overclockers customer support was excellent. Really helpful, especially James Bailey, who was tireless in the ongoing support he gave me in trying to resolve the issue.
Great service. had two problems even with one not being over clockers problem they gave me advice on what I should do and in the end got the problem sorted. 2rd problem was a water cooler asked what could be done and was told to send it in and all will be fixed all thanks to (staff member) Bailey thank you. If he is this good all the staff it. great site friendly members on the forums as well they are always happy to help you with anything not just about computer's
Have used Overclockers.co.uk on quite few occasions now and the service is always first class. They are now my first port of call for any PC hardware I'm looking at buying.
The staff have a depth of knowledge and a willingness to help that you just don't see on other sites or high street shops. Any issues are always sorted out promptly and you, as the customer, are never left feeling that they're not doing their best for you.
Overall, I really couldn't recommend them enough.
Overclockers.uk consistently go above and beyond when it comes to customer service, providing a super fast resolution to any problems I have had. This gives me peace of mind when choosing them as an online retailer knowing that I will receive first class customer service as and when it is needed. It is for this reason I return time and time again when purchasing and PC hardware.
I've recently been trying to vamp up my machine by ordering a new watercooling system. Which in itself is a rather stressful situation as per what to buy and such.
Most of the sites i've used in the past normally just ship it out in 5-6 days and I'm sat here waiting for what I ordered and it's not exactly what I did so I have a long winded argument about things with them. The one that recently annoyed me was the arranging of a computer case to be bought which they sent me a completely different case to what I ordered.
But! Ordering from Overclocks UK I found to be insanely simple, it's the normal putting in the details and such but what really impressed me was I ordered my kit at 5:10 and received it at 12.30 the next day. Everything was in good condition as well as they left a small surprise in the box as well.
They also informed me of every step of the dispatch process which impressed me since most companies care very little after the product has left their care.
The product itself was exactly as I wished since they have an option to change parts of it so that you can make it fit your build (Since I wanted to keep a colour scheme of my pc going) as well as suggestions of other products suitable.
The only issue I found was something of my own fault where the tubing wasn't quite enough but that's because of the size of my case.
tl;dr Good Delivery, Good Options for Customization, Good product recieved
EDIT: Had a call from James at OCUK. He was very helpful in listening to the issues i faced with my order and offered me a store credit, which was easier than sending the monitor back for RMA. James was also able to sweeten the deal with a few free games. Very pleased with the solution provided by OCUK and will give them another go in the future.
Shopped around for a new Asus monitor. Overclockers had the cheapest one compared to Scan (who i normally always use) and they also had a B-Grade option available for the monitor I wanted. I decided to go for a brand new monitor, so purchased the Asus monitor at full price. When i received my monitor, it was clear it wasn't new, the box wasn't sealed with a clear sticker (normally over the little tab you pull out to open the box). I proceeded to open the box thinking maybe Asus don't put a clear seal on their boxes. When i opened the box, i found the base of the monitor was loose and had a couple of scratches on it. Next, i found there wasn't a UK power cable inside, but an US cable. I received other items from Overlockers in this order, which were all in brand new sealed condition which is great, but to receive the most expensive item i ordered in a second hand condition and to have to pay the full price for it, was really really dissapointing.
I have contacted their support team but doubt anything will happen since I accepted delivery of the item plus they weren't exactly honest, sending me a second hand item and charging me full price for it!
I will never shop with Overclockers UK again and continue to do my IT shopping with Scan!

I ordered a graphics card from Overclockers UK and dealt with 5UB on their forum. He not only price matched but went above and beyond to respond within a minute of me posting a query.
Would 1000000% deal with again.
I've had a few different things that OcUK have helped me with recently, including the return of a faulty item, return of unwanted items and a potentially faulty motherboard that I needed to discuss, with regards to a replacement.
I used the method of going through their forums to get my support, which I think is a great touch. They have other means to do this such as webnote, but it feels more personal, and direct, and often you will get a response to an issue within a couple of hours.
I've been using OcUK for years now, and can't continue to recommend them enough.
Overclockers UK have amazing customer service, quick delivery and a very decent forum website should you need after care. Never had a problem ordering from them and they are one of my best trusted retailers for online shopping.
Ordered a PC arrived but was faulty, returned to them and they fixed it within a week! Had further sounds issues and they sent a sound card which would hopefully fix the problems! Even though I had these issues the world class customer support team sorted me through it and I will definitely shop there again and recommend to friends.
The best thing I can say about Overclockers UK is their Customer Service is absolutely perfect, they are both friendly and helpful and they never wasted my time. Their Customer Service employees are a credit to them!
There products are also to an incredibly high standards, although I did purchase a HDD from them and it was dead upon arrival, but was replaced with no hassle and they even covered the postage... Plus the little pack of Haribo Sweets was a lovely bonus :D

Received my gods but a little problem with the power lead (manuf faulty not OC) and was resolved within 10 minutes of contacting them. They kept in touch all the way through the return and replacement process.

I've recently bought my first 'piecemeal' computer and Overclockers was the company I chose to go through. Rather a nerve wracking experience as I'd never bought a PC in bits before, I was uncertain as to whether my selected parts would work together. I contacted Overclockers help several times during the process and they were always speedy and helpful with their responses to my questions.
The delivery time was extremely fast, arriving on the friday when I ordered on wednesday night (would have been next-day if I'd not been ordering at two am).
I did have one problem with a damaged component (NOT Overclockers' fault): My case was factory-damaged inside its own box. I contacted Overclockers and after emailing them some pictures of the damaged part they sent me out a new case the same day for delivery on the next. They didn't even require the old case back as it was too damaged to use.
I can't fault their service in this instance and would definitely use them again!
OcUK embrace new technology and the customer service section off their forum, is simply brilliant, get replays usually within hours and any questions/issues solved usually within hours with no hassel and no waiting on a phone que listening to annoying music. Free shipping if you participate on the forums as well.

I have never had any problems with OCUK and have always received great service.
Not only guys reply within reasonable time to your queries but also go an extra mile to keep their customers happy.
The only little downside is OOS notification which normally is send out a little too late to still modify the order in time for that next day delivery you wanted.
But really - I'm being a bit picky!
I have been (since 2007) and still a loyal customer to OCuk as they have always helped me where possible.
Recently i purchased a sound card costing £185.00 and when it was delivered it went on offer a day or two after i received delivery (fast deliver as usual by OCuk)
I then questioned this and was refunded the difference within 24 hours!!
I have said this before and i will say it again.......Other companies can take good lessons from you guys on how customers should be dealt with which in turn creates 'loyal' customers.
If i had to describe OCuk in one word then it would be a BIG WOW!!!!!!!

I've used Overclockers UK several times for my purchases and never have any issues with price, delivery and asking any questions about the products. This time I had purchased a tablet but it had developed faults within a day of purchase. Overclockers Uk were fantastic in dealing with my RMA process. I had the item returned to them in a day or two and a refund issued within a day or so. Very quick service and very friendly help and also painless using their forum customer service page. I'll continue to purchase from OcUK.

He then rang me and told me that even though it was outside of normal policy, he would bend the rules to accommodate me. I am genuinely impressed with the response from overclockers.co.uk and I'm very happy to change my review to 5 stars. A rocky start, but we got there in the end. I would definitely use this website again.
I bought a CPU from them worth over £300, and was just outside the return window when I opened the package to find that it was an OEM version. Since I had intended to purchase a retail version, I rang them immediately and asked if I could send the item back to exchange it for the (more expensive) retail version. I was informed by the incredibly rude representative that since it was outside the returns window they would not accept it, period. There was no leeway made whatsoever, which I found particularly strange given that the company stood to profit from the exchange. Everybody would have been happy in this case.
If you want unreasonable and unfriendly service (from Mr. Luke Pointon, to name names), and if you want a purchase of several hundreds of pounds to be insecure, use this website. I myself will never use them again. I told as much to Mr. Pointon who proceeded to inform me that their policy was the same as Amazon's, which, I calmly told him, it is not. Amazon provide more than double the returns period, and every experience I've had with them has been phenomenal.
