I ordered 250 business cards from Overnightprint.com on Thursday, December 5th, 2013 around 3:00 PM and paid $33.06 for “RUSH B.I.T.G.I.T.™” shipping, to insure that the cards would arrive on Friday, December 6th, 2013.
After not having received the business cards on Friday, December 6th, I called the company on Saturday, December 7th, 2013 and the representative stated that my order had been just been shipped that day (Saturday, December 7th, 2013). Therefore the order was only sent a day after it was due to arrive, and 2 days after it was supposed to be shipped. My order did not arrive until Monday, December 9th, 2013.
I ordered my business cards from Overnightprint.com specifically because I needed them the next day and their website promises “Overnight Prints stands alone in the industry when it comes to delivery. Delivery dates are offered based on our cutoff time of 5 pm PST. Simply select the available date of delivery and we will get this order to you on that date. So, if you need it tomorrow, select tomorrow’s date to receive your order.” - Overnightprints.com. I would not have requested “Rush B.I.T.G.I.T.™” shipping if I did not need it for the next day. If I had known that the cards would not be delivered on time I would have used the standard shipping or, most likely, a different company altogether. Since I did not receive the product on the day I paid to receive it, I do not see why I should have to pay for “Rush B.I.T.G.I.T.™” at all.
When calling the company I waited on hold for at least an hour and a half being transferred to 4 different employees, all of whom told me that they would only be able to refund $10 of the $33.06 that I paid in order to receive my shipment on time. I requested to speak with a supervisor and was told that that would not be possible and that the final offer would be compensation for half of the “RUSH B.I.T.G.I.T.™” shipping and a 15% store credit for my next purchase.
I essentially paid for a service that I did not receive.
Screwed up the order and Bad Customer Service and it takes a very very very long time to get the order. "OVERNIGHT" indeed.
I have ordered multiple times from overnightprints.com and the product quality and the service level has recently dropped to a terrible level.
I ordered business cards for a colleague on the last order. 200 out 250 cards had a yellow blob on them that was definitely not part of the design. I was waiting on another order to arrive so decided to hold off on complaining before I received the second order.
However, I've yet to receive the second order. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday, as I had paid extra for 3 day delivery, but we haven't received them. I checked the website yesterday, and it said that the order was awaiting printing! I was prepared to be patient, but I can't get in touch with anyone to even figure out what is going on.
Yesterday, I called and was on hold about 20 minutes before I gave up. So, I filled out their contact form. As of 2:30, I haven't heard back from anyone. I tried to call earlier this morning and was on hold for 38 minutes before I had to jump off for a call. I just tried to call again, but the line was disconnected after about 8 minutes. So, I've sent an email to their firstname.lastname@example.org.
I've used these guys for business cards on many occasions and they have never let me down. I suppose the golden rule when ordering print services is to allow as much time as possible as there are many things which can go wrong. That said, my orders have always arrived when they were supposed to and the print quality has always been excellent.
Just 1 day late.
What does "on or before August 11th" mean to you? To me, it meant that I'd have the cards I ordered in time to use them at the event I planned to attend.
When the cards didn't show, I called Overnightprints.com and begged them for some other solution where I could still receive the cards. They kindly offered to "refund my shipping charges". WHAT!?
In this case, what would you want? I wanted to keep the cards and get 100% of my money back. It's only $100! Instead, it was calls and emails back to ONP when finally I got a letter from email@example.com. This person still accused me of trying to get free cards and quoted "terms of service" items that didn't even apply! Thanks alot!
Here are the exact facts: Ordered Aug 4th for "on or before Aug 11" shipping, that's ground and yea, the cheapest way. I was leaving Aug 12th. The cards were knowingly shipped late on Aug 6th (they told me they knew they'd be late) without a call or even email saying they'd be late. When I called Aug 11 to see where my cards were, ONP was flippant about the lateness. Hello! Over-night-prints?
Finally, ONP did refund all my money and offered to let me keep the cards... TOO LATE! I had already sent the cards.
DO NOT USE Overnightprints.com if you want your shipment delivered on time.
