I ordered a specced-up Phoenix i5 Storm from this company a few weeks ago, and it's great! On the order, I increased the RAM to 16Gb, got a better CPU cooler & had a wifi card installed. The computer is rapid, and flies through absolutely anything I ask it to do!
One word of caution, however: They overclocked the CPU (i5 3570k) to 4.4GHz, and straight after receiving I tested it's temperature under load by using Prime 95 & Core Temp. I was slightly alarmed to see the temperature sky-rocket to slightly over 100 degrees, and witnessed the clock speed throttling back. I took a look at the cooling in the case and saw that there was only a 120mm intake fan & and 80mm exhaust (I should note that I ordered the extra pack of case fans too). I rectified this by first installing extra 120mm fans on the top and side of the case (this reduced temp to 90 degrees). Still thinking this was too high, I replaced the 80mm rear exhaust with another 120mm fan, and put an extra one on the bottom for good measure. This reduced temp to 80 degrees which, while still hot, is acceptable & not dangerous for the CPU.
Another thing to note is their 3 year warranty. I have never ever been successfully sold a warranty for electrical goods, but Palicomp somehow bucked that trend! They offered it to me for half price & said they'd upgrade the processor from i5 2500k to the 3570k, the RAM from 4x4Gb to 2x8Gb, the power supply to 650W & the HDD to 3Tb. I received all those upgrades apart from the HDD which was only 2Tb (which I wasn't too fussed about as I was putting my own SSD in anyway). I've read about Palicomp previously leaving off such upgrades (innocently, I'm sure) from other people's orders. Either way it was a great deal, & I've now got the extra safety in case anything goes wrong with the computer.
All in all, the computer is great (now I've installed extra cooling) & I'd now give it 5/5. However, for me having to install extra fans & leaving off the 3Tb upgrade I'm knocking a star off. Perhaps if you're not confident with fiddling around with the insides of a PC, then don't go for an overclocked option. For slightly over £700, I have a great machine!
I have bought computers online several times over the past ten years and with no reservations I can say Palicomp are by far the best service I have received. The computer was the best bang for your buck of any company I could find and the support was quick, friendly and tailored for my needs. I received a follow up email and phone call to ensure everything was as it should be and all in all the service was perfect. The computer runs like a dream and I haven't been bombarded with spam of any kind. I remain on their mailing list and I have no doubt I will be using their company again. I would recommend everyone to use them from the novice to the computer enthusiast trying to get a great deal because you simply will. Many thanks Palicomp you did everything and more, very satisfied. Alpha Blade with extras purchased Jan 2013.
Had some difficulties at first (which I caused) and the help I got was spot on, would certainly recommend them and definitely go with the full warranty they seem willing to chuck in an upgrade or two and the cover you get is ideal if you're a bit clueless like me!
I'm very happy with company they got comprehensive Finance ( Hitachi) and prices. Palicomp were very helpful via e-mail they answer most in the same day.
100%
Really happy with PaliComp. My order was dealt with quickly and professionally with really helpful customer services. I was offered a great promo for reduced cost warranty, upgraded components and free games etc! The system is super stable and extremly quick. I was thinking that with an overclocked chip the system would run loudly but it's actually silent! Love my PC and will definetly, definetly be using Palicomp in the future.
I wanted a fairly powerful machine to cope with my Flight Sim programmes and have not been disappointed. Excellent spec and performancefrom the Pc and Palicomp. Initial issue due to processor being dislodged in transit but helpful staff enabled me to sort the problem without having to return the PC.
I recently bought a custom base unit from Palicomp. They were happy to offer honest advice about what I did/did not require in order to meet my needs.
I was really pleased with how quickly they built and delivered the system to me. So far I have been absolutely delighted with it and would definitely recommend them.
Initially I was drawn to Palicomp due to the amazing offers they had compared to other similar providers. This coupled with the amazing amount of choice on each and every component drew me to feel this computer was actually personal to me.
The site was very eay to use and I was having an online conversation with one of their online analysts to have a chat about certain things and what would work well and provide the best available machine for my budget.
Everything on teh site was clear and concise, the prices and costs for everything were detailed every step of the way unlike some sites which seem to rig in hidden costs right at the end.
After the purchase was made, I received my machine exactly when I requested to do so. I work all day every day so when having to take time off to take delivery, it was essential I received the goods on the day I expected.
Once unpacked and opened I turned my machine on, quickly did a once over and realised that there were a couple of things that were not working as expected. I called the helpline and I was greted by a very knowledgable representative who quickly and consicely understood the issue and directed me how to set it right.
Since then the machine has been fantastic, sucking up everything I can throw at it and some. I have had no further issues with the machine and upon checkout they even upgraded my care package from 3 years to 5 years. Not that for the time being I think I will ever need to call them!
I would recommend on all aspects of buying your own computer, the choice available, the product quality and the after care service. Top notch!
If I ever need to replace components or buy another computer, these guys will be seeing more of my business.
We were looking for a new company PC with the ability to run dual monitors, after ages speaking to other companies who gave us long winded answers or wanted to charge the earth. The team at Palicomp explained what we needed , spec'd the machine with us and delivered it 2 days later and installed Windows 8 for free (bonus) . Great service we wil defiantly be using you again.
I recently purcased two pc's from Palicomp. The ordering process went very smoothly, and I was called to alert me to offers about better warranty etc. ,and offered quite a good deal on both.
One of the Pc's had an issue with the memory, and was promptly picked up and redelivered without and fuss. Everyone who answered the phone was very helpful and not once did I call and have to deal with someone who was reading from a script, as there is nothing more frustrating.
Both PC's are running well and I have had no further issues.
One improvement that may have been nice with the overclocked machines, would be to provide a permanant record (ie. on paper) of the exact settings that were used to overclock, as after a bios reset or other changes this information may be lost and unable to be recovered without a lot of experimentation.
Other than this I can't fault the goods or service.
I bought a PC from Palicomp in December 2011. I am happy with the performance, the customer care is good, and it was excellent value for money.
It's ten weeks since I received my Llano Hyper Flame and so far have been delighted with its performance. The ordering and delivery were quick and efficient and everything worked straight out of the box. Performance is more than adequate for my useage - no doubt due both to the new hardware and some extent to Win 7.
Apart from 'office' jobs and web use the main programs I use are Photoshop Elements 10 for photo editing, GoldWave for advanced audio editing and Reflex XTR model aircraft flight sim. My previous XP machine struggled at times with all these.
The fan sounds busy but by placing the computer underneath the desk instead of on top, the noise is not unreasonable. There was a small issue with hardware but this was resolved immediately by return of e-mail.
I have taken out the Carefree warranty; hopefully it will never be necessary to invoke it, but it does give peace of mind to have it in tow.
As things stand at the moment I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Palicomp in the future and also recommend them to my friends
I bought computer system from Palicomp even after reading all the reviews mainly negetive and i have to say they all wrong yes things go wrong with electrical items you get that anywhere and the people who are upset vent their anger.
I had rapid reponse to all my e-mails about what computer i wanted and any info i asked for.
The test came when i had a couple of teething problems after i bought it and i asked for help and again rapid response they did everything to help me, even a follow up e-mail from them asking how the computer was and if i need any help just ask.
All the people i spoke to or e-mailed from Palicomp were all plesent and eager to help and you need to understand every where that sells computers are going to have problems at some point in time even the biggest brand names do.
I would recommend Palicomp for their computers and prices alone, i had mine a few months now and ive been more than happy with computer and customer service.
Purchased this model end Feb after reading good review in Computer Shopper. Delivered on time, well packaged.
I kept my existing wireless keyboard and mouse - basic Logitech stuff- which were connected instantly once PC was running.
I'd ordered several optional add ons and upgrades to cards, ports, etc and no complaints as delivered spec was all correct .
I'd originally declined the 3 year carefree offer ( free collect and return service) as this was £110 but received a call offering this for reduced price of £68 with additional cooling fan added so agreed to take this up.
The AOC 22" w/screen monitor which was part of the package is also a good quality screen.
So far absolutely no complaints, handled everything I've asked of it really well - would certainly recommend company and use again.
The machine is running very well at the moment and I have had no serious problems with it since purchase apart from when first purchased it had not received the advertised graphic card upgrade. However this was easily rectified by your staff and was promptly dealt with thanks in the main to me living locally, this may have been a major disappointment had I had to arrange for shipment back to base if this had not been the case.
The computer on the whole is a very great improvement on my old machine running so much faster and smoother whether
playing games, doing office type tasks or on the Internet. I am very impressed with its performance, considering the price of the machine. Since having researched similar products both on-line and on the high street, nothing really came anywhere near its features or performance, so value for money and also being a local firm greatly influenced my decision to purchase from your firm.
I had read reviews of some of your machines previously in Computer active magazine and was surprised to find that you were a local firm, so I thought after weighing up my options that I would purchase from yourselves, and support local business rather than go for the high street option, which I have in the past tended to do. I am so pleased that the machine came with a disk for Windows 7, and also with the motherboard manual, items that are not usually provided when purchasing on the high street, but which can be invaluable should problems arise in the future. Having said that I was offered the 3 year carefree warranty for half price at the time of purchase so hopefully these items will not be required that much .
I was contacted by Palicomp via Email recently to find out how the machine was running, and to see if I had any problems that they could help resolve. Which goes to show that they really do care about their products and put a great emphasis on customer satisfaction, can you imagine any high street shop doing this ?
Thanks very much for the excellent product and customer care.
Just received excellent help and service from Palicomps Ryan, sorry did not get surname.
I am not 'a computer person' so was a bit worried when Ryan suggested having a look inside the computer when I phoned about a problem I had.
I need not of worried because Ryan was able to talk me through opening up the machine, searching for the cause of the problem and after a short time correcting the fault. Amazing ! I not only felt quite chuffed with myself but had my computer up and working without any sending back worries all thanks to Ryan's expert help.
With service help like this I would not look anywhere else for my computer needs.
Many thanks Ryan and Palicomp
I have home built machines from components in the past, however Palicomp prices & specs (Asus motherboard, Sandybridge Core-i5 etc.) seemed so good that I decided to go for a complete machine this time (and it's not easy to order a complete machine without an Operating System from the larger suppliers). The order was correct, and arrived the following day (despite me saving money by opting for the standard 10-day supply). Also nice to see they'd fitted two 4GB RAM modules instead of 4 2GB ones (Again, after I'd rejected paying extra for the larger modules). I downgraded to a DVD drive from Blueray, & didn't order a screen, keyboard or mouse. I did add the optional case fans.
The only thing I don't like is that the power supply fan is very noisy. There's no bearing noise or anything that sounds defective, it's just that the 'air' noise is very loud. I've carefully opened the case to check which fan it was, & both of the (optional) case fans are virtually silent, and the standard CPU fan is also quiet. I've had machines that sound fine in an office but seem much louder in a quiet room at home, so perhaps it's not unusual. I stuck it for 2 weeks & then ordered a quiet PSU from from someone else.
Other than that, I'm really happy with the machine & the price. Apart from the PSU noise, I'd give them 5 stars: they responded quickly to email & telephone calls, & I would use them again.
I bought the Palicomp hyper flame, about 5 weeks ago, after reading reviews in Computer Shopper. Delivery was very fast and efficient. The pc was easy to set up . There have been a couple of minor blips in operation, but easily sorted ( by me) and everything seems to be running well to date. I am enjoying using the new system.
Came across Palicomps site a little by accident - I had decided to go with another name I'd heard of. However, the site was easy to use and the bespoke build was great value I ordered on line, without needing to speak to anyone. The next day, I had a call from Palicomp, checking on whether I'd intended to miss a DVI cable off the order (my mistake, I'd forgotton it). They also offered me a memory upgrade, upgraded graphics card and support/warranty upgrade at a great price, so I took it too.
The ordering process was slick, efficient and friendly.
My new PC arrived a week later, exactly when the sales guy said it would. It was well packed and just as I ordered (I even took the side off to check that upgrades were in the box and they were - no cheap sustitutions or corners cut).
I have been using it for a few weeks and it's great except for one niggling issue. The Palicomp basic wireless keyboard and mouse set are not up to scratch - the keyboard has a rattle as if there's something floating around inside and the mouse is very skittish and sometimes isn't recognised on start-up. So my advice is go for a USB wired set or an upgraded set or just get one from somewhere else.
To be fair to Palicomp, as soon as the issue was pointed out to them, they proactively offered to send me a USB replacement and when that arrives, I can post the dodgy one back (they say they'll pay for the postage). So much better than me sending the K&M set back and be without for several days waiting for replacement .
If they do what they say theyre going to, I'll be able to report on their excellent customer care as well as ther excellent buying experience and a pretty good product (keyboard-mouse aside).
SO FAR so good and so far a thumbs up recommendation from me.
Was searching for a new computer online and came across a couple of websites that gave good reviews of computers by them. I checked out Palicomps site and found it very easy to use. I was quickly & easily able to put together a build that suited my needs. Once I finalized my coice I had the option to buy online or via the phone. I rang they purchase deptment and was told someone would ring me back in 15mins. Sure enough 15mins they did. They sales member was very efficent and friendly and we went thru my build as I had set out before. They offered me the 3 year warrenty OS *& hardware, which I was not going to take until they offered me it for £70 with £90 worth of upgrades chucked in. Bargain!. My new PC arrived just 24hours later, very well packed and just as I ordered. I have been using it for a month now and its really really good. I could not be happier and have reccomended Palicomp to two of my friends looking to purchase new PC's.
On the negative side and its only a minor one, the internal memory card reader I took as an option was not the best quality and didn't work. I contacted Palicomp & after running me thru some things to try they sent me out a new memory card reader. Sadly this one also didn't work. In the end I took the reader from my old PC and it works fine.
Like I said just a minor thing, the build quality is fantastic with good quality parts used with only the memory card reader not up to standard. So in short buy with confidence but save yourself a tenner and don't take the extra memory card reader.
I am very happy with the computer I recently bought from Palicomp for use at home - it was delivered very promptly, was easy to set up and so
far has performed faultlessly. This is the second machine I have bought from Palicomp within the last year (the first machine was bought for number-crunching engineering analysis work). I would definitely recommend Palicomp to family and friends.
The staff at Palicomp were very patient with my lack of knowledge and assisted in constructing a PC to meet my needs. From order it arrived within 2/3 days, easy to set up and the smile on my kids faces when they could play their PC games without glitches was worth all the effort.
Great website and the the computer arrived very quickly. I would have liked a few instructions but as there were none I managed to find out how everything worked. The card reader would not work and I was sent a replacement but then found out that if I plugged the original reader into another socket on the motherboard it worked. apart from that very pleased with the computer and service from Palicomp and will recommend them to family and friends.
Top notch is how i would describe Palicomp great value for money and i know in the years to come they will be able to assist my needs. when the time comes i proberbly will buy another pc from them.
have always in the last 10 years been a customer of Dell, mainly because I have had very few issues at all, in fact only one which was rectified immediately, one of the other reeasons being deferred payment terms. I have computers at home, work, and laptops for when i am holiday and most are updated every couple of years. I did infact order a new computer from Dell at the beginning of the year, however upon accepting my order prior to final completion I was advised the computer would be approx 7-10 days, and upon checking after ordering found the eta was approx a month, and when confronting them they advised it could even been longer. I had already had a reason to be unhappy becuase i was going to buy originally via the defered payment option advertised on their website inly to be advised that this was an error and there was no option. I decided to cancel the order however the next day was advised the deferred option could be readopted and they could sort my choice of specs within a week, however I declined their offer. I found you recommended in the Computer Shopper in one of the write-ups and decided to take the plunge, having been a Dell shopper for many years I have to say originally I was a bit dubious however thought it was a good time to try a change. I received the computer on time, next day and i had paid for the next day option, computer was well packed.
The only criticism and its a small one i have was that the packing used was rubbish and empty boxes and so i had to go through it all in fear of throwing something away that i shouldnt.
I assembled the computer, I`m not thick when it comes to assembling computers but even i had a few issues , mainly due to the lack of instructions, ie none. Even some general instructions would be good, i could get no picture from the computer and upon ringing technical next daywas advised I had 2 graphics card, one which worked and one which didnt, but the one not to be used was the most prominent. I was sent a keyboard and mouse, both wireless, however I hate these, the keyboard was ok but the mouse was shocking, the pointer on the screen was so bad i could not click on any links on a webpage as it vibrated across the screen, your technical helpline after calling sent me wired replacements without question which were a cheap option but 100% better.
I have used your technical dept twice, and on both occasions have found them polite and extremely helpful.
As for the computer I am glad to report no faults and i am a happy customer and would have no doubt in recommending you for further purchases for myself and other friends/ family. The computer is quick, the main reaon I needed it, and has plenty of room to store data. I would suggest a few tweeks as I have mentioned which would i feel enhance your reputation
Bought myself a media pc from Palicomp after reading numerous reviews of a fair few companys. I struggled to find anything close to the price/spec combination.
After i placed my order, customer service contacted as soon as possible, i then received an even better deal. Everything they said would happen, did happen. On time, carefully packaged, all as it should be.
All set up and running sweet as a nut. Got to admit, god forbid anything goes wrong, i have every confidence Palicomp will come to the rescue. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase from them again.
Palicomp were very helpful assisting with the spec I needed. The PC arrived quickly as promised. There has been one small fault with the card reader but this many well be due to one particular make of compact flash card. The problem was easily overcome with a USB card reader. Palicomp have offered to replace the internal reader or provide a USB reader again - speedy to solve a problem.
We recently bought a computer from Palicomp and found their sales staff friendly and helpful. The computer was delivered quickly and efficiently which was excellent as we live in the south of Spain. The computer is working well and we have had no problems with it. Altogether a good experience.
I Purchased a pc from Palicomp about 2 months ago (PHOENIX i5 SUPREME) due to the high spec and very good price, there did appear to be a lot of negative reviews about them online but also some very good ones so took a chance.......have to say I have been very impressed, was offered 3 year warranty and upgrades which were all present and correct, pc is first class and I was kept informed by email as to progress of build, once dispatched pc arrived next day, well packaged and as described, I have no issue in recommending Palicomp and will be using them again in the near future.
Ordered amd bulldozer fx rig and what can i say It blows rift and swtor away on max settings, And im so happy with how clean and tidy the tower is inside no messy cables so you get great airflow so all stays niced cool :)
I bought a PC from Palicomp a couple of weeks back. Not a high end expensive choice, but rather a budget level gaming PC since I am a pensioner having to count the pennies.
Despatch and delivery were very prompt, and the PC arrived very well packaged.
Being 80 years of age I am well versed in life though certainly NOT in the matter of PC`s. Therefore I initially made a few silly mistakes and caused myself a few `niggling problems`. I felt a bit silly when asking advice from Palicomp`s after sales service `bods`, though I need not have worried at all on that score.
On three different ocassions I dealt with three different people, and they were all great. Each of them put me at ease and dealt with my problems in a patient, courteous and extremely helpful manner. They certainly sorted out my self inflicted problems and I just cannot praise these blokes highly enough.
Any Company is only as good as it`s staff. Needless to say really that I think I have found a good Company in `Palicomp`.

Hi Bob
I have now used Palicomp for 4 different purchases over the last 4 / 5 years. At all times I have found the customer service and support desk to be responsive and helpful, even when the call was with reference to a warranty issue and not a new purchase. I have bought some of your machines for others and again I am pleased to say that they have been very pleased with their PC. Your site is the first I check when I am asked to recommend solutions potential customers and there is always systems there to attract my interest. I wish your company well and again thank you for your continued service and look forward to dealing with you in the years to come.

Bought a PC recently from Palicomp after my brother (a computer teckie) gave the spec and price the thumbs up. Good communication throughout, delivered on time and to schedule. All working well (so far!) Well recommended.
I have recently purchased a computer from Palicomp, the customer support I have received so far has been outstanding. Great advice in getting the spec right in the first place, and open to a bit of negotiation! Very quick delivery and very well packaged. There was a slight mistake with the spec when it turned up, but very unusually in my experience they put their hands up right away and admitted their mistake and sorted it out immediately. As for the PC itself, it is excellent, and I am really delighted with it.
Bought from this company on the advice of a techy friend. Wanted a reasonable computer at a competitive price and that is what I have received.
Had a couple of queries about set up and they were answered very politely and did not make me feel stupid (which I probably was!)
Would buy again from this company.
I have recently purchased a Llano Hyper Flame from Palicomp based on an independent on line review of the product.Having used it now for a couple of weeks I am very impressed with the build quality and even more so by the customer support to deal with any problems I have encountered (mostly caused by my lack of knowledge rather than it being a computer fault)
Delivery was spot on and I have would have no hesitation in recommending and indeed buying from Palicomp in the future.
All in all one very satisfied customer.

I've been using this set up with 2x 6950 2GB with a 120GB SSD OCZ Vertex 3 and it hasn't set a foot wrong yet. I phoned palicomp on thursday and with there Q-jump service, got it on friday. . I also paid for there extreme cable management and inside the tower (Coolermaster Haf-X) i can hardly see any cables apart from when they connect to the mobo or graphics card's. When i received the system i had little trouble setting up the eyefinity, so i phoned palicomp support line and they had me set up in under 15 minutes. I mainly play Dirt3, Battlefield3, Crysis 2, fifa 12 and GTA IV on these 3 monitors all the graphics settings are maxed. It looks awesome and runs sweet what more can you ask for. Thank you Palicomp
Bought a PC from Palicomp about 3 months ago and I have to say I have been very impressed with the product and service I have received so far. The whole setup cost me just over £1000 including upgrades and I was surprised that although I paid an extra £25 for their Q-JUMP service, I actually received the PC the next working day I think, and they sent me all the tracking information for FedEx before it left them - this was handy as I called FedEx and they told me when the driver would be in my area.
I bought this to replace a laptop we are using which is a few years old, and I have been very impressed with the performance. I wasn't sure which one to go for as their site does have a lot listed on there and its difficult for a novice to work out which one is the best deal to go for, so I called them up and went thought my requirements and they did me a custom quote by email. After tweaking it a few times as there were extra features I wanted like WIFI, we agreed on the final spec. A big sorry to Paul as he must have been fed up by the end of it as we exchanged about 5 emails in total! But I paid by Credit Card over the phone and the PC was with me the next day I think.
I've been using it for the last few months, for all kinds of tasks like surfing the net, emails, writing documents and playing games. There is never any slow down with it and I don't think I will ever need to upgrade! I have only had contact with their service department twice, once was my fault as I didn't know how to set up my wireless network, and once because I needed talking though how to install the free software provided. I must say that both times I couldn't have been treated any better.
They have a local telephone number on their site and they answered the phone straight away, took my internal palicomp reference number and they sorted my issues out very quickly. The one with the wireless issue, I connected my PC up with the LAN cable, then they remotely logged in their end, and installed all the software and set up the wireless networking while I was on the phone to them.
I would say to anyone considering a purchase from Palicomp, speak to them on the phone or email them, they reply quickly and they are very helpful. If your unsure what PC to buy, start the way I did, by going to their site and clicking on reviews, they are winning awards every month in the computer magazines and you can click though and read the reviews online to see what each one does and why you should buy each model. I did look around a bit before I bought, and I found that their prices online were cheaper than other sites, so I was a bit worried about buying at the lowest price, that you wouldn't get the same quality, but everything has gone smoothly so far and I'm sure I will be going back to them when I am ready to buy again, which I think will be a good few years from now.
Everythink works great exept one speaker but im pleased with the buy.
Next computer or parts i'll buy will definitely be from Palicomp.
The service from Palicomp has been second to none and everyone has been friendly and helpful when i have spoken to them. The PC was delivered really quickly and to spec and runs excellently.
I paid extra for a 3 year warranty but Palicomp also threw in upgrades to the PC which was a bargain.
I'm very pleased with everything i have witnessed with you guys.
