Don't bother to use them !, Automated on-line sysytem for printing cosignment address label's does not work - all you get when you go to print the label is a pop up box that is completely blank. Tried to re-arrange for a new label to be printed via there customer services. Spoke to them on the phone and they said that it would be no-problem as it could be done at the local depot and that he would send them a e-mail to arrange for collection of my parcel and for new labels to be attached to them. Took my details and said that he would get them to contact me to arrange a collection time that day. After 7 hours of waiting for them to contact me to arrange collection still nothing. Found the local depot phone number on-line and called them - after being on hold for 25 mins !!! (completely unacceptable), someone decided to pick up the phone. I explained to them what had happaned and that they should have been contacted via there customer services department to explain and for them to collect from me and they should have called me to arrange a collection time. The operative in the depot claimed they knew nothing about it and had not received any e-mails from there customer services and that it would now be too late in the day to collect as the driver would no-longer be in my area. He said he would speak to his collections manager and see what they could do and ask me to leave my contact details and they would be back in touch that day - never heard anything more from them !! -TOTAL and UTTER WASTE of TIME - DO NOT USE PARCELFARCE sorry I mean Parcel force. I will never use them again. Let's see how long it takes them to refund me.....
Having packed in rigid polystyrene and several layers of bubble wrap I mistakenly thought my package would survive, how wrong was I. The parcel arrived as if it had been deliberately thrown across the floor it was ripped and badly crushed. I tried to make a claim but was told the compensation guarantee didn't include breakages, so in effect it was worthless. This is a major organisation and not one of the cheap carriers but they act like one. Should you ever want to find a carrier that respects your property and delivers in good condition you certainly won't use Parcelforce.
My experience was a disgrace. Perfum was removed from my parcel. I was not notified of any restrictions prior to postage. The perfume cost over £100 and was a gift for my mum who lives in Europe. I was not informed that the item was removed despite my contact details being written on the parcel. My mum received the parcel which was torn and badly taped back together. There was a message saying that the item was removed. She was extremely upset and so was I when I found out the news. I rang parcel force and was told I would have to make a claim online. Despite provision of the shipping bill, and a receipt. My case was closed and dismissed. I am appalled by this service.
Absolute disgrace, this company. I've now requested 4 times on the phone about redelivery from their London East depot - they seem to always come on the days that I never requested. I have an expensive item from Ecco on the way and I wish companies just stop using them. I've already alerted this to Ecco and how bad Parcelforce is to partner with. Shameful. Very unhappy customer.
Wanted a headlight conversion doing to my motorcycle, so packaged the unit up and sent it 150 miles via royal mail 1st class insured. Had fragile tape all around box but wasn't asked at all at the post office counter what was in the box to constitute "fragile" just what it was worth.Arrived safely, work was done and it was sent back via parcelforce by 48hr insured for 150 quid by the people who did work. Box arrived with me opened it up light had massive crack in the lens and damage to the box where it had been crushed, it had a box within a box both were filled with air cushion bags. Contacted sender he put claim in on my behalf, Parcelforce have just refused to pay compensation because in their terms and conditions certain items are exempt including car headlights and fragile items. So my question Is should their handling of clearly marked items which could easily fall into this category be 100% better because as a responscible business they know that they are refusing to cover a great proportion of this material should it get damaged? Or do they feel they have a blanket immunity and will not pay compensation anyway so their staff can throw every parcel around, crush boxes, pretty much do what they like without recourse.I' am now down about £200.00 with cost of the work undertaken and to buy a replacement light unit. But a claim for £150 refused will cost them dearly . Our company send 2250 parcels per week via parcelforce but they wont be for much longer as first thing Monday we will be going back to UPS even if it cost us more on principle.
Attempt nr 1: After calling first my local post office, then making my way through the impossible automated customer service of the Royal Mail, I finally managed to talk to someone who said that my parcel (coming from Norway to the UK and has been 'lost' for 3 weeks) was untraceable due to its Norwegian tracking number, at that nothing could be done by the Royal Mail to find it, and that it was not their responsibility. Funny that, when the Norwegian Mail said that they had received info from the Royal Mail about where the parcel was, which would mean that they could use the Norwegian tracking number to trace it. Attempt nr 2: After calling the Royal Mail to say that they should be able to trace the parcelt they still refused to so, denying any responsibility for it. Maybe it had been sent through Parcel Force?
Attempt nr 3: After finally getting the new UK tracking nr for the parcel, through the Norwegian Post Office, that is, the Royal Mail finally admitted that the parcel could be traced and traced it through the system of Parcel Force.
Attempt nr 4: Parcel Force said it was holding the parcel because apparently there had been an issue with the address. Was I notified of this during the long time the parcel was in their depot? No. Was the sender in Norway notified of this? No. The idea apparently was 'let us just keep this parcel here and do nothing about it'. After talking to the woman on the phone, she promised to get it delivered to nr 5 the next morning, and asked for my phone nr in case of any issues.
In stead Parcel Force tried to deliver the pacel to nr. 6, and did not call me when it could not be delivered. Neither did they leave it with a neighbour which, if the parcel had been delivered to nr.5, they would have seen a note specifically asking them to do, if no one was at home. The person delivering the parcel instead decided to leave two delivery notices; one stating that it had been left at the local post office and one stating that it had been sent back to Parcel Force.
I still do not know where my parcel is. And best of all: This is the third time something goes wrong when sending something through Parcel Force. First time a parcel took around four weeks to arrive. The second time they lost my student finance letter, preventing me from getting my student loan for another five weeks; absolutely fantastic when one is a student and has to pay tuition fees. And now this.
Parcelforce offer the most value for money international shipment. I would recommend them on par with fedex and dhl for sending. I wouldn't know about their domestic parcel service which the reviews below criticise, but if like me you are thinking of sending a parcel to 'rest of the world' countries like Egypt then my experience tells me there is no better company. Would definitely use them again - very happy customer :)
Paying £13.50 for a "clearance fee" to Parcelforce is one of the biggest cons in modern life. They literally extort you to pay their fee or you won't receive your parcel.
You can avoid their clearance fee and complete a customs form yourself, at no cost, by asking the sender of your parcel to clearly write on the package and the customs form: "GOODS TO BE DECLARED BY IMPORTER" or "TO BE CUSTOMS CLEARED BY IMPORTER".
In the mean time, I hope ParcelForce thinks their £13.50 fee is worth losing a lifetime of my business.
I paid £10 for next day delivery on an item which should have arrived today. According to the tracking system the package hasn't even left the midlands yet. It only needs to travel 200 miles, I might walk it there myself next time!
Having paid a small fortune for their 10am service I am still sitting here waiting at 12:30pm. I live in the centre of a city, so I'm hardly rural. Customer services aren't interested and don't seem to understand why I would want my parcel by 10am. Instead they copy/paste the faq and tell me it could be up to 5.30pm unless I've paid for timed delivery (which I have!!), or maybe I could arrange for a re-delivery - but that will cost extra. I've had nothing but problems with this lot and wince whenever I see online retailers using them. I fully expect another "delivery attempted" card in the post, as usual, via Royal Mail. Somehow the mailman can get here but Parcel Farce can't. I get the impression their drivers get halfway through their round, lose interest and just mail out collection cards to the rest of us.
Well, tracked my item from japan, seen that it arrived in the uk within four days only to see that it was being processed for a further 5. Now they are demanding cost coverage that amounts to half the total cost of the original item. No custom duty, not excise duty, import VAT of £8.00 which I don't mind. It is the the clearance fee of £14 on top of that that I take offense to, as well as the fact that their payment system wont accept my card. Useless.
Having just paid ParcelForce's 'Clearance Fee' of £8 on an imported item worth just over £8 for a service I neither requested nor agreed too I will never be using them again. In extorting this payment from me under threat of not releasing the item they have cost themselves all further business.
Dead online system for paying VAT due on imported stuff is a complete farce. It's been off for several days and the nearest depot is miles away so I'm stuck until they condescend to fix it. They are holding my property prisoner. The VAT thing is particularly bad because they have a notice up on their website saying they have a problem and are trying to fix it but it's a classic 'no information' message designed to drive customers wild. There is some information about an alternative phone system you can use, but, surprise, it doesn't do the tax payments and the information given about it is completely incorrect. In fact it's a lie. When will these arrogant semi-monopolies learn that nothing makes customers angry more than being kept in the dark and lied to. No doubt it's been bought cheap by David Cameron's mates and now they are creaming off the profit and driving down the service. When sending stuff there are other parcels services that give better service and prices, shop around.
The do called easy option of paying your customs fees online is far from easy. The system has been down for over a week, have contacted them by phone and email. They just run you round on circles, contact your local depot, local my foot it's 50miles away, used to be round the corner, but seems thanks to the profiteering they closed it. Still no closer to getting delivery of my parcel. It took 5 days to get from LA to the UK now 3 weeks later it's 50 miles and not moving. Absolutely Disgusted! Will never knowingly use them again and I recommend everyone does the same and people power puts these useless idiots out of business.
Waited all day for delivery. Then checked their website which had previously said "out for delivery" to see it had been amended to delivery attempted. I had been waiting in all day, no one called, no card left!
