Towards the end of October 2012, I wanted to purchase 2 replacement items for my Classic iPod. The web site of "parts4ipods" seemed to sell exactly what i wanted, at a competitive price. I followed through their process, no problem until I came to the Address section ..... I was not able to select the correct country, Colombia, of my UK HSBC Billing address from their drop down menu.
I sent them an email explaining the problem ... their answer "you can select a different country on the billing address". I thought "there's going to be a problem here!" .... when PayPal ratifies my account details, it is going to reject payment.
Several emails later, I spelt out exactly the correct Billing address, and the two possible mailing addresses, first to Colombia and then to England, if they didn't deliver to South America.
I then had my order rejected, as they had my UK Mailing address as my Billing address. I had this statement from them .... "the mistake is on your part not ours, if you want the billing address you have to change it on your account".
On the 7 December 2012, I sent a final email to the company, carefully outlining the whole sorry saga and asking that it be handled by the managing director. To date, I have not heard from them.
I have all the emails to back up this review. I am amazed that there have been no comments, apologies, explanations or whatever from the company in response to the 10 reviews ...... this indicates to me, that the company is not bothered in improving it's service to the customer. I would award the company a minimum score as its review mark.
Sent my iphone 3GS for a new battery. After 5 working days and a w/e it was returned but the phone did not work properly. Contacted them by phone, explained the problem and was told to send it back. No apology no offer to pay my additional postage. I explained to their rep Qummy that I was heading away from home on an important meeting the following Wednesday so I needed it back quickly. He said to put URGENT on the accompanying note and he had annotated my account accordingly. I called again on Monday to check it had arrived - it had and I again emphasized that I needed it back quickly. On Tuesday I called again they said it wouldn't be fixed till Wednesday. They weren't at all bothered when I explained my previous conversations and the importance of getting it back by Wednesday. No hint of an apology. It arrived with me on Thursday and works OK.
I sent my Ipod touch off for replacement screen. Had it back within 48 hours, and that was over the christmas period. Emails received confirming receipt and despatch. decent price. and better still it worked better than before, as home button had always been a bit dodgy but was great when It came back. Looking at all the negative reviews, don't know if I was just lucky or not?!? but I'd use them again.
After 3 months of a deteriorating battery on my IPhone 3GS I randomly found the company on the internet. Called them up in the morning and agreed I would visit them in the afternoon (no appointment made).
Expected a shop of some sort but it was just an office in a business centre. Piles of parts and peoples phones that had been posted to them all around. Looked like chaos but was quickly attended to and a new battery was fitted in under 10 minutes.
So on the phone and in person they weren't super customer service friendly but they were accommodating and did exactly what I wanted efficiently and cheaply.
Obviously can't vouch for their postal service but if you're in London or surrounding, go and see them and I'm sure you'll be pleased.
I HAD an iPod Touch with non working home button. I sent it to this company. After 4 days i phoned to find out the progress. The lady told me that it's ready for collection so i went to collect it. It took them a while to find it in a mess of ipods, sandwiches, boxes etc.... and they told me that it's not ready. they asked me to wait 20min and then they gave me my ipod. i was in a rush so i took it and left. to my astonishment i have discovered that my iPod is completely dead. I phoned them, the lady was extremely rude and basically told me to f.... off. Tremendous experience. The fastest way in London to kill your iPod!!!!
Had a problem with the screen connector1, send the iPhone for the repair, received it back. Screen does not work and they have update my baseband from 05.13.04 to 05.14.05. No respond to my emails, arrogant customer service, very and very poor service.
Bought two assembled screens to repair Ipod. Both broke on application without any pressure applied. Was told to send 2nd screen with broken cable back. On doing so they still refuse to replace or refund. Awful service
Bought few items from them and have to say, I haven't been let down. Delivery is prompt as it was next day from order date and the quality of parts is superior as for those from eBay. Not the best as good like original but close enough to fit your iDevice and work properly. Service is also good as before I've started to deal with them, called them to ask few things.
Recommended company and hopefully will buy more from them in the future.
After keeping my iphone in for repairs for three weeks, they told me it was fixed and ready to pick up when it wasn't, then when I'd had enough and asked for it back so I could take it elsewhere, they gave me someone else's (non-functioning and cosmetically damaged) phone. To this day, they have kept my phone (which was in near perfect condition) and have failed to respond to any of my (repeated) requests for its return.
Hello,
I bought a screed digitizer. It came faulty. The cable was broken and i saw it right out of the box. Before trying to install or enything. And they say they review the cables before to send and they refuse to refund or replase! I paid around 20 euros for a stone!
Good luck
I gave my iphone for repairs and did an excellent job with fast delivery....I have been buying and ordering from them ever since and never been disappointed...Great great great
