Constant spam. fake paypal emails.

I'm always getting emails from PayPal from spammers saying I purchased items and that I owe money daily. I never purchase anything anymore online and I'm so close to deleting my PayPal account. For that reason. It says to view this website as the description to pay ( $0.01). Just to advertise thier spam website. I contacted paypal and they did not see it as a big deal! Told me to just cancel it.. They allow hackers and spammers onto thier site, it is a big deal! These spammers also send me fake PayPal emails 7 times a day saying this transaction was cancelled and IT WAS NOT!!!

I've been using paypal for my purchases for couple of years without any problems.
Early this year I came across the first seller (provider of services) who didn't deliver the service as promised. After useless email exchange with them I escalated the claim to paypal with an impression that it will be only a matter of time until I get reimbursed for the crappy service I received for my money. I was very disappointed then, when I received only a short notice that my claim was denied, without any further explanation or a chance for me to prove my point.
Therefore from now on I will only give my business to merchants who offer payment services other than paypal as I do not want any fraction of my purchases to go to this company ever again.
And it goes without saying that I will discourage everyone I know to use paypal as well.

DO NO SELL WITH PAYPAL + Horrifically bad customer service.

While the actual service works well enough at times if you're buying, if you plan on selling a product and collect payment through Paypal, DON'T. You will more than likely encounter a situation where they will hold onto the money and you'll have to go through the biggest hassle to even attempt to get it back. And trust me, no one wants to go through the hassle that is Paypal customer service.

Fact is, the customer service is horrendous. The call-in number is practically fully auto-mated and if your solution isn't among those pre-scripted, it will often go through a loop and you'll get no answers. You won't even get transferred to a live representative a lot of times. When you do, they''ll tell you that there's nothing they can do. Thats on top of the fact that emailing them gets you nowhere as well.

I recommend all boycott Paypal. Maybe they'll learn not to treat their customer base like SH*T otherwise.

Buyer protection a joke - **********BE WARNED*******

Don't be fooled. I have lost out on £135 because i ordered 2 tablets from china and paid via paypal thinking i was conered under their buyer protection. Unfortunately I only received one and as the seller had decided to despatch the items seperately I am not covered by their buyer protection. What a joke. BE WARNED

What is customer service..we have not heard of this expression!

As a buyer you are told you get this amazing 'buyer protection'. Well you better read the small print sucker!!!! You see apparently this is only valid on thursday evenings between 9 and 10pm, oh yea, and during a lunar eclipse.....

To give you an example i bought an item which was faulty, returned it but got no refund from the seller. According to Paypal (and this is word for word) ' because the address the seller gave you isn't the same as the address on their Paypal account we can't help you'. Silly me huh! Thankfully I used my Barclaycard so I was able to chargeback Paypal. I felt a bit bad going behind their back an all but they did waste 2 weeks of my time just to tell me how their super dooper buyer protection didnt apply to me. Ok back to serious talk below.

If you are reading this and do not enjoy stress I suggest you do not use Paypal. In reality Paypal did stress me out for 2 weeks and were actually rude and abrupt on the phone. If you use Ebay to buy things then try Amazon instead - their customer service is truly excellent - even though you might pay 5% more for an item you'll thank yourself if something goes wrong. No arguing with paypal's laughable 'customer service' team. I could have lost over £300...don't let yourself get caught out by these rogues!

Beware of Paypal's unfair business practices. They will hold on to your money as long as possible while they earn interest on the money. Their motive is not protecting your money. Their motive is taking as much of your money as possible. As a subsidiary of EBAY, they are getting you every way possible. EBAY charges a fee for selling goods and then you are forced to use Paypal as your "preferred" payment provider and they take a cut. Good luck with making a profit when they eat your revenue in big chunks. snake oil salesmen. Caveat emptor!

Paypal... PIC for scammers

I wish there was an option of giving it negative stars. I was big time admirer and user of Paypal until today. I bought a script from www.guruscript.com site. They sold me half baked script which never ran. They had free install offer too. They could not install my script and I was forced to file dispute with Paypal.. After a month of keeping my case open Paypal closed it simply by saying we cannot refund as it is intangible object. They have the case number with the vendor and they did not even bother to look into that to investigate. Now, this open a big door for scammers, sell anything which is intangible and once anyone paid via Paypal, the scammers will get their money no matter you get your promised item or not. Unfortunately, I have paid using Paypal's Bill me later service so I don't even have choice to claim from credit card. I am done with Paypal today, posting this review just in case it could save someone from being robbed.

They go around using all possible ways to suck your money out. Charges are ridiculous, money held (pretending to be protection when they have direct debit to my account!!!) and customer service is another rip off with premium number to call them. I had to wait 30 min to get trough since it was urgent. Avoid. Dont see them to survive for a long time.

Awful service, money hungry and they will harrass you to no end

I've had the unfortunate chance to use this service for one purchase through EBay. Turns out to be the costliest mistake of my life as a 15 dollar purchase turned into a 150 dollar ordeal. I didn't realize they would enact a 35 dollar monthly fee for every month. I just wanted to use it once and be done with. They do not make it very clear at all and I get a letter three months down the road charging me 103 dollars. Rediculous. And on top of that you get their calling service harrass you to no extent, calling in upwards of 10 times in 5 hours. If i were to pick up no one would be on the other end. All in All, it turns out to be one of the worst companies to deal with as all they care about is taking your money. DO NOT USE.

Worse company ever, scammer friendly.

1. They take crazy fees $2 of 50$ transaction.
2. They don't care about you if you are being scammed, and they know that you are being scammed.
3. they open a savings account for you without the savings and you cannot touch 10-20% of your money
and the interest is not shared with you, basically to raise their stock share.
4. Easily hackable, i have been receiving around 2000 transactions within one year from hacked PayPal accounts.
5. They make money while taking a ride on your business and when you're in trouble they don't give a shi*t
6. Their support staff have a tendency to agree with my angry calls to them.
they just comply with my frustration.
7. Don't even think to use this so called "company" unless you must to.
they will turn away on every one of your complains and at any chance they will ignore their useless system that suppose to protect you.

Felt like being scammed.

So around 20 days after shipping out two games I sold on ebay, I still am unable to receive my money. Im afraid that I just basically spent money to give my games away. I would never use paypal again.

Looking at all the reviews concerning Paypal, they should start to listen what people say.

My story is a bit long but I will try and keep it as short as possible.

I run a company and gave my partner some stock to sell to clear a debt between us and for her to make abit of extra money. All was going well on Ebay until these uneducated, unhelp and unprofessional people decided that she was a business and not an individual, so they requested all sorts of paperwork asking her where the goods had come from and did she have the right to sell them on Ebay. What where they implying?

Paperwork was submitted proving that she was an individual and I even sent them paperwork proving that I had given her the items with clear title, but that was not good enough.

Now her Paypal Account has been limited and she has to wait 180 Days for her money back, who keeps the interest, they do! Sadly she has now got to deal with some buyers raising cases and getting her money cleared because they have not received their items, a joke because they were sent by courier and tracked, instead of talking to the buyer and get the case closed YOU have to ask Paypal to resolve it and that is a pain.

These people need to be regulated like our UK banks and not just make decisions at the drop of a hat. Their customer service departments are rude and unwilling to deal with your dispute, same with Ebay as well, they like to tell you many a different tale.

Maybe it needs people to vote with their feet and if necessary take the action required to make them sit up and listen. I am sure the FSA would be interested in their attitude!

I am sure that many more sellers / buyers will have bad experiences with Paypal, they are a law to themselves. If you can use another cheaper payment gateway and avoid these crooks, then do so, at least they are regulated profesional bodies.

I own a small business and just went through a terrible appeal process and still can't get money. Can't begin to tell you how jerked around I was by this heartless financial giant. Please Please don't trust this company, ''they will Hold your money for Months HELL'' Disaster

Sleepless Nights, Stress, pain, aggrovation, I'm a new seller they brought me down straight away fast then i could ship the Goods, paypal put my Funds straight on Hold, i sent all my items to the Buyers packed very well and this How the pain started.

This where it gets complicated the pain stress of the moment it started made me sick tired depressed, i sold 14 items at first packed them, the Buyers paid straight in to my paypal account and then i got a message from paypal saying it's on ''Hold'' and my money won't be released till the Buyers give me Good feedback and not reported any problems. so I'm confused thinking I've sent my items and i haven't got my Money ''WTF''..and then all of a sudden Paypal demand more infornation from me, ok i don't mind uploaded passport,drivers licence, bank statements, wasn't enough, they needed Receipts of the items i got?, How the Hell am i gonna get those i didn't have the receipts and now my account is in Limbo all because of paypal.

Paypal Took my Money for items i sold on ebay limted my account forever.

I've Sold 13 items on ebay one was for £1200 apple laptop, sent the item off the next day, and 3 days passed still haven't got my funds released, and now i'm getting confused i want my Money they still won't give it to me. i couldn't believe what they done just out of no where limted my paypal account so Basically those stories you hear about paypal are true OH MY GOD

Paypal suck.
They ask me to verifi 11 documents and fill in reasons why im sending money, bankstatmens etc etc etc 11+ etc's.
Afther i give up and ask them to close my account and refound my money to my card which i have deposited with, they tell me i must be verified first!!! HAH nice trick to keep people on that crap site of diktature. I will now let them keep the 4-5 dollars and forget everything about that account, hope they are happy, thiefs.

NEVER in my life have i been treated worse by a company. when i type this quick story it wont seem true but it is. They "limited" my account, which means make it so you can use it, cant take money, cant mail things, cant contact buyer, cant get payment. They did this because "i was selling my dvds too cheap" thats honestly the reason they gave me. They clsoed my account 2 weeks before christmas to maximize damage. Then never responded to my emails, or calls for 2 weeks. Then AFTER christmas told me this horrible excuse, i asked if a customer complained about ym products they said "no, we think your selling too cheap". i have %100 positive feedback on ebay, think we all know how imposibly that is to do now adays.
they told me the 13 steps to follow and prove i'm selling legit DVDS, withing 1 hour i sent them 30+ pages of proof, they promptly emailed me a cookie cutter email saying denied. not wont reply to calls, emails, nothing, they are keeping MY MONEY that i had in my account and will not give it back "host to god!" MY money, "same thing as them coming to your house, taking money from your pocket and not giving it back" its THEFT!!!
if you paid me to use paypal i would not, google checkout is already taking their business FAST. i bag anyone reading this to keep your paypal balance at sero and close your account, i am free to answer any questions you might have

I ve used paypal for years as i was felling safe while using this system for payments however at the first problem I had ( i ve paid for something and when got it was not the article I've paid for) paypal said they were not covering my case. So I ve lost my money and confidence in Paypal.

Poor system security and bad policies.

I was a PayPal customer for 12 years but no longer. My account was hacked and the volume of charges should have sent fraud flags up quicker (if they ever did). The good news is they reversed the charges. The bad news follows.
Since they showed a lack of institutional security measures, I deleted the link to my bank account. I did however keep a link to a personnel credit card since I understand they need a line of credit to back up usage. In return they froze the account from sending money. To lift the limit, I had two options: 1) re-expose my bank account or 2) secure the account using a Paypal branded credit card. Option 1 wasn't an option as mentioned previously. Option 2 wasn't an option because I didn't want a new credit card showing up on my credit report and affecting my credit score. I thought option 3 would be that I could only send money covered by funds previously deposited. For example, if I had $20 deposited, I could send payments up to $19.99, but that wasn't an option they would consider.
After 12 years, I say goodbye and let the user beware.

untrustworthy dodgy practices

Recently I sold a camera lens on ebay. The lens was in perfect condition it was flawless.
The buyer then recieves the lens and asks for his money back.
He contended that the lens had scratches which it didnt.
He then put up pictures of dust particles on the front of the lens.
He even tried to tell me the lens was dirty and well used which it wasnt it was under 6 months old and barely used, he would of said anything to get his way .
So anyway I also had pictures which showed no marks of any kind.

He esculated this to a claim and within about 10 hours they went for his version of the story.
Paypal didnt take into consideration the evidence I presented at all.
When I asked for an explanation of the decision I was ignored.
They have taken there fees and I am now out of pocket .
If the item had a problem I would of said fair enough and gone with it.
But I was taken for a ride by this buyer he simply changed his mind and made up any story to get his money back.
I have been doubly screwed not only by the buyer but by ebay/paypal

I feel I was ignored and definitly owed a refund on my fees and an explanation of why they ignored my evidence.
I am now awaiting the item to be returned to me.
I will never sell again on ebay as its obvious if there are any problems paypal wont take the sellers evidence into consideration. I am very frustrated.
When the lens arrives back I believe I will be proven rite that it is perfect and I intend to then appeal with fresh pictures in the hope I can get the fees back. I wont hold my breath.

Poor Customer Service

I had a problem with my account and PayPal not updating my bank information. I called customer service and the guy was very ignorant and rude to me. I tried explaining to him that the information was not correct and the computer locked me out as not to update my information. He could care less and kept insisting that the information was correct. Wish there was another company that Ebay would use instead of PayPal, they're terrible!!

Not a trust-worthy business. Don't use Pay Pal

Recently, I bought something from a vendor on Paypal. Later, when I bought something again, I realized there was a box called "Bill Me Later" that was automatically checked, and I had to un-check it. Well, Bill Me Later is a credit account with a 20% interest rate and hefty fines. I did not realize this for several months because nothing in the emails indicates that you have a balance. I figured this out too late because I had accrued over $100 in late fees ($37.00/month is pretty steep). Now, I'm a person who uses credit very discriminately, so I'm very upset that I was duped into a credit account unknowingly. I need to have faith and trust in a business that handles money, so I cancelled my account immediately. Pay Pal, you really disappointed me. I was a customer for almost two years.

Great for buying with their buyer protection

Paypal always has your back when you're buying online, no need to give your details to every website you use, just checkout with PayPal and you're done. Not too bad as a seller either if you're smart and get signatures for deliveries.

Great if you're buying, terrible if you're selling

The buyer protection program is absolutely great if you're an honest person who wants to secure himself from being scammed.
However, if you're selling, any dishonest person can claim back his or her money, which blocks all your funds. I had both experiences already and while the buyer protection program did save me a few bucks, I lost those again due to malevolent buyers.

I wanted to Buy something from a Ebay, and it wasn't easy because of stupid paypal, The seller was Nice and Told me if i wanted it cheaper would have to be without the Fees From ebay so he sent me a Money request for £1800 and i really wanted The item took me ages to find the watch i wanted

Please be Warned don't send Money your money and account will be suspended put on hold they the paypal computer is very random don't sell expensive items DON'T it's got so many loop holes just watch out any filthy person can rule

PayPal is a colossal ripoff!!! It's not what it used to be!

I am done with eBay and PayPal. I haven't sold anything via eBay (and PayPal for probably a year). Used to do it quite frequently. I used to enjoy it and never experienced any problems.
I wanted to have a little extra cash for Christmas, so sold some perfume via eBay (as I have done many times before). Offered free shipping to drive up my sales. Sold one for $26.00 and one for $30.00.
I had numerous problems because my eBay and PayPal weren't linked. Got that taken care of. Got an email that I needed to ship items. eBay stated that payment was processing. I read that monies were completed on the buyer end and it was okay to ship. I also read that if shipping done through eBay/PayPal, it would come out of funds paid from sale and at a discount.
Long story short, I got an email today that my bank was rejecting attempts from PayPal to withdraw funds for the shipping. I called, spoke to someone with limited command of English, and I am to understand that money will be available up to 21 days from date payment cleared.
Fees from eBay, fees from PayPal, $13.00 via PayPal for shipping, payment cleared, but I won't get my money til God knows when. I'm pissed. I feel like I got screwed by eBay and PayPal and I won't use them again.
They can hold their customers money for up to 21 days (which has cleared and is in their possession). I guess you hold all customers funds long enough, it can add up to a pretty penny in interest. It's crooked, it's wrong and I don't have to do business with them anymore and I won't. It was good while it lasted, but it ain't good anymore. It stinks!

They hold YOUR money hostage!

I cannot believe this happened right before Christmas! I purchased an item online and 5 minutes later had second thoughts on the price. FYI - I stupidly checked out via Paypal instead of just entering my information on my own. I called the vendor immediately and canceled the order. The vendor explained that my payment had already been rendered by Paypal and that they would process the refund and I should have it back in a few business days (this was Thursday night). Monday afternoon I get a notice from Paypal that the vendor had sent the refund. I was shocked the next morning to see that I still did not have the money back in my bank account. I called Paypal and they indicated it would be 5 - 7 days before they would release the funds back to my bank. This is outrageous! The refund shows complete in my Paypal account yet they will not release it back to my bank. Thanks to how stupid and unethical Paypal operates, I will not get my money back until after Christmas. My kids will be so happy to know that is why they did not get their presents until after Christmas. Thanks Paypal. I will NEVER use you to purchase anything again!

Protected buying on EBAY what a joke!!!!!

The company has no interest in protecting the buyer from my experience. I ordered an item and paid extra for 48hr delivery. 2 weeks later so I raise a claim and go back and forth only to be told that as the seller has proof of postage and the courier tracking says left safe they can't do anymore. They have no interest in getting the proof of delivery from the courier and cared even less that the couriers contract was with the seller and not me leaving me no right to claim. I found out the seller sent the item 5 days late and authorised it to be left safe they still had no interest. After weeks of phone calls on my end and having already purchased a replacement I managed to track down the parcel delivered to the wrong address all this trouble and still no refund for the extra spent on 48hr delivery. they are less than useless they are down right negligent.

Scammer heaven.

First of all they ask to much fees. 4% of your sales + an additional 4% if you are not in USA and need to convert money. After that, if you are a honest person than you won't like Paypal. As a seller if someone claim a Paypal dispute for a unreceived item you will lose even if you have a tracking number that shown that the item was delivered. As a buyer, you will win easily if your claim is about unreceived item but if it's for something else like fake item, damaged item, etc than you will lose. All those situations happened to me and no mater how bad you want to fight against scammer you will lose. Your only chance to win is if you received nothing. I can understand some people like Paypal cause if none of the situation I mentioned never happened to them then there's no problem. But as soon as you'ill received a damage or fake item or as a seller if a bad buyer start a claim even after received his item than you will hate them.

UTROLIGT DÅRLIGT!

Jeg valgte at få mit kort bekræftet, så jeg kunne overføre penge fra min paybal til min netbank, det ville de så trække 12,5 kroner for som jeg ville få tilbage hvilket var fint nok.
MEN LIGE PLUDSELIG, så står min konto i minus, fordi nogen har købt ting med mit kort, på danske og udlændinge, forskellige personer, har købt fra det.
de viser mig bare at paybal langt fra er sikkert at bruge.

PayPal prefer seller to buyer

I have always thought that PayPal provides additional security in compare with other credit cards for shopping on web. But know I have realized that PayPal doesn't stand for buyer in dispute. I have provided them with copy of USPS bill and copy of customs declaration form, as proof for shipment item back to the seller. This was not good enough for them. And I ended up without the item, and additional expanse for shipment back the item upon PalPay recommendation. Thanks PayPal, even so I lost money, I have found who I’m dealing with.

Go on make your life HELL!!!! Join Paypal :(

I moved to NZ fro Australia and they froze my money. They then wanted a certified copy of my passport sent snail mail which I did. I also emailed them heaps of other stuff. Then after I called them several times and nearly a year later they sent an email saying they refunded the money into my Oz account "Hooray" then they emailed and said they closed my account. It would be nice if they would actually understand their clients and respond in a good manner. I wont use them again as traders are now asking 4% extra if you use Paypal. There are other better ways to pay. Shame on you Paypal.....:(

they are a scam company and u cant dispute there decisions

Sold 4 i teams on Ebay, (papal-Ebay) same company, got notifications that all were paid and to send out items, I did, a couple weeks later Paypal said I was never paid and refused to deal with the purchasing customers, This is not the first time BS has happened to me Via this company..
They cllect ss# and credit card and bank info and ask u for proff on your purchses if you sell too much, and they hold ur cash for pretty much as long as they want and charge u 3%.. A merchant account is far less expensive and they will not Scam u like PayPal does.....

OUCH!! Bitten by PAYpal!!

What has happened at Paypal?? I've used them since 2003 as eBay Seller minermike2003, with over 1000 transactions, and of late, speedwaymike. At the end of Nov I paid my ebay fees,($129), then found pay pal had charged my bank an additional $129. Still waiting for a refund. I have a bank Debit Card that I use only on my Paypal Account, along with one Master Card.. On the 5th of Dec someone stole $500.94 from my bank account, using my debit card. Lastly, I made a purchase on Ebay using my Master Card for $42.00. Paypal said the card was rejected, (it wasn't), and proceeded to take $42.00 from my Bank. Neither payment reached the seller, so he has cancelled the transaction , in order to relist the item. Still no sign of my $84.00 from the two payments to paypal. Just sold two items today, and can't access funds until item is recieved, per PayPal. Time to forget Ebay, and especially PayPal.... Don't get taken like I did!!

HORRIBLE! if i could give negative stars i would!!

would have been good. but they screwed me over.
i didnt use paypal for a WEEK OR 2
then i got a big payment and have over $400 for my family's christmas to order.
THE NEXT FEW MINUTES they limited my account
send in proof of ssn proof of identity prof of address
2 diff times i may add
and then they canceled my account and wont let me have my money for 180 days
THANKS FOR RUINING MY SONS CHRISTMAS A-HOLES.
i would not trust these people!
and bad customer service.
expecially since they will accept money from you then treat you like dirt when you have done nothing wrong on your account but make payments and buy items.
wouldnt be surprised if my ssn is now stolen.
