i am not happy with my advisor at payplan

I am really happy with payplan until they changed my advisor. I thought they could contact my creditors and sort things out, which they have done in the past but the advisor now says she cannot speak to a creditor and I am being harassed by a creditor. Can I change my advisor back to the previous one I had if that's possible? I was going to reply on payplan but my advisor gets all the mail I send.

They may save your sanity but are not the be all and end all

Without doubt Pay Plan have been an enormous help to me, I was not able to deal with all the creditors and by their intervention the daily harassment eventually ceased. It has to be realised however that by agreeing to a debt management plan you are effectively giving all of your spare money to your creditors and if an emergency happens not only do you not have the money to get it sorted but also no access to credit due to defaults. My only niggles with PP+ are that occasionally I have been charged by creditors for late payments when my payments are made through PP+ and also, what seems to be the case with many customers, my actual balances and the "estimated" are very different. Still, in 4 years I've turned £27k debt in to under £5k and an end is in sight, it has been a very tough 4 years. Most creditors have been pretty good and have stuck with the plan all the way through but Nationwide and Argos have been little short of evil, refusing the terms at the earliest possible moment and there did seem to be little support from PP+ when this happened.

Thank you for your comments and I’m glad that we have been able to help with your debts and to take the stress away from creditor contact.

To answer your queries in relation to the estimated balances, whilst it cannot be guaranteed that the interest rates and charges are frozen in a Debt Management Plan (DMP), Payplan do negotiate successfully with the vast majority of creditors to achieve this.
I cannot speak on behalf of the two creditors that you have mentioned, but there is a small minority of creditors who will not stop interest and charges which affect the final balances, Payplan therefore use estimated balances until close to the end of a DMP.

I found this company through National Debtline and would recommend them to everyone!

After suddenly finding I could not keep up repayments on credit cards due to loss of income I found this company and was guided through my problem without any judgement or embarassment. I feel 100% better about my situation and can sleep much better. I would recommend anyone to give them a ring and investigate your options life is too short to spend a minute longer worrying about money.

Good Company, no complaints.....

Before I found Pay Plan I signed up for a Debt Management Plan (DMP) with a fee paying Company - I won't name there here, however in my defence I was desperate for help at that time - they charged significant up front fees and a monthly fee and the Service received from them was poor - they encouraged me to take out more debt in order to pay their fees !!! I am now formally addressing this through the appropriate channels - once I realised that the DMP I was with was not the norm/not correct, I searched for another and Pay Plan came as "highly" recommended, with no fees and a good "on line/digital Service" in support - I am glad that I switched - Pay Plan have taken a considerable amount of stress off of my shoulders (they deal with my creditors) I simply keep my part of the bargain by ensuring regular, agreed payments to them. The only aspect out standing is the freezing of interest by my Creditors, some do some don't, most of mine have, those remaining that do now only charge a small percentage of what I was paying prior to me entering into my DMP. To any one in debt/struggling with payments I would recommend looking into a DMP with Pay Plan - in support of my circumstances I cannot fault them....

BEST DECISION I EVER MADE.

I ended up in a bad place through my stupidity and someone else taking advantage of my good nature BUT i made those choices so I AM responsible for the mess i got into.
I went to payplan and have never ever looked back, yes i went through a stage where i ignored my problems but PP bought me back to reality in a very gently way, gotta say I'm and sooooo impressed with them that i tell all my friends to go to them and ignore all the others that are charging HUGE amounts to set this up and to set that up NO PAYPLAN don't do this and I've even taken out life assurance just in case , it costs me £5 a month and is a great idea. I have a number of health issues so can't get life insurance and yea i know that this insurance only covers the amount that i in debt by but at least i know that if I pop me clogs than my kids aren't saddled with my debt, another incentive as far as I'm concerned a brilliant company who help you all the way. I can ring up and get answers as & when , this is great. I have had other companies ringing me and trying to get me to swap to them and they tell me that payplan ARE charging me well all I can say is YOU SHOW ME WHERE AND I'LL CHANGE.... but they can't prove this so is goodbye to them & Yeap I'm sticking with PP lover this company would recommend them to anyone and everyone that needs help

Don't be an ostrich face up to your mistakes and Payplan can help

I won't bore you with details, but I was in a financial quagmire and felt like a failure because I had lost control. My bank was helpful for 27 years until I told them I was having financial difficulties their attitude was take more credit and when I refused they didn't want to know. Anyhow, what a refreshing change with Payplan from the initial contact to the final IVA sign off everyone was helpful and non-judgemental. It felt like they really wanted me to better my situation.
I can not stress enough if you are reading this and you are ignoring those envelopes coming through the letterbox because you know what they contain.
Payplan are there to help you if you want to help yourself!

It works.

I was well in the mire with credit cards and loans, zero interest cards only put off the inevitable. My case was well managed and once the agreement was made I had very little contact from creditors. I managed to clear my IVA in 2 years with the help of my redundancy payment.
The only negative point was the delay in arranging my final creditors meeting, I was told it would take 3 months but eventually took 6 months, due to the redundancy money in my account I was unable to get any housing benefit and was just on JSA. The delay cost me the best part of £3,500 from my redundancy payment.
The lesson could be learned by Payplan to prioritise those who are made redundant.

Excellent

I would 100% recommend Payplan to anybody who is struggling with debt. It was a very easy process and even though at first i was dreading making the first step it was non stop constant help. Very friendly and understanding. The communication with my advisor is instant with emails and telephone conversations. There is an annual review every year for your budget and to see how you are coping with the payments. If during the year your finances change they are always willing to help and adjust your payments to suit. They have a website that you have a personal login to and all your budget information and payments you have made are on here also along with information to help you with other aspects that can help you reduce costs ie gas, electric, car and home insurance. They have been a godsend and i would recommend anyone who is struggling that you dont need to and to contact them for help.

brilliant company

what can you say about payplan but brilliant started my iva back in 2007 and have just completed it with my last payment this month. at least with this company there was someone too speak to and my best case officer was a young lady called leanne murphy who i could not fault at all she kept me up to date and never failed too answer my e-mails. once again many thanks for getting me out of a very large debt problem its a big problem off my mind now and i can finally live and spend what i like and not stick to a tight budget.

Peace of Mind

Payplan have given me great advice and therfore peace of mind. However it is sometimes difficult to get through to speak to someone on the phone. I started of with a DMP with them however most of my creditors were still charging intrest and it was going to take many years for me to clear my debts. After speaking with payplan I was advised that an IVA would be best. I am now one year into it and although money is very tight I have no worries about debt collectors or any additional costs.

My adviser and all the others I have dealt with have all been friendly and supportive and I cannot fault them on that. My only niggle is sometimes you can't get through on the phone if something crops up sometimes.

Almost first rate!

Payplan staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always there to offer advice. HOWEVER, I've just discovered that they have sold my e-mail details on to numerous companies even though I am opted out of marketing with them (and have never opted in!). PayPlan is the only one to address me using my first and middle names (no surname) and suddenly, I gete-mails from Lovefilm, Sun Bingo, private health insurance, ambulance chasers, PPI claims....all addressed using just first and middle names.

A life saver!!!

PayPlan are fantastic, free and friendly.
When my partners business closed because of the recession two years ago I was the only one in full-time employment. Although I had never defaulted on a payment I was finding it increasingly hard to manage.
I gave Pay Plan a call and they sorted everything out, all I had to do was inform my creditors that I had signed up with them!!

I have to say that payplan have been a lifesaver. Was crippled with debt but with the help of playpan I am now in a much better position and it is nice to know that the staff are acting in my best interests . The staff have all been courteous helpful and caring a credit to any organisation.

I could not recommend payplan more. From the first time I contacted them almost 5 years ago they have been super helpful, explaining everything and making me feel at ease and now I am coming to the end (6 months remaining) of my plan, I know without payplan and the plan they put me on I would be so much worse off. Can look back now and see getting myself into debt was a bad thing....but we all make mistakes and payplan didn't judge at any point. My case officer has been there whenever I have had questions and it's really easy to amend payments at any time during the plan (like if u want to increase or decrease monthly payments)
They deal with everything on your behalf and it's been a god send

I don't know how I would of been able to cope and repay all my debt without this in place

I would highly recommend this company to anyone who was having financial difficulties. I myself have been with them since 2010 and have never looked back. They have helped me through some difficult times and still allowed me to see some light at the end of the tunnel.

I am totally satisfied with their service and have no problems querying anything if i need to. They are helpful, always professional, polite and seem to generally have your interest's at the forefront. Yes i am totally aware that companies like these do have a close relationship with all Creditors & possibly get paid by them for collecting the debt, but this does not alter my view, as i still have a debt which needs reimbursing to my Creditors.

I always banked for many years with a certain high street bank and it was from a phonecall to them that i was advised to seek the advice from them or some other firm like them.................................for this i thank them.

Dont just sit there worrying - contact them!!!

I cannot praise this company highly enough. After going through a very expensive divorce, I found myself with mounting debts and all the problems associated with them. My home life and work was suffering along with my health. I was given their details when I plucked up courage to speak to the citizens advice bureau. From that first contact with them, it was like having a weight lifted from my shoulders, I am now on the verge of being debt free and cannot thank them enough. Every member of staff I have dealt with have been polite and courteous and non-judgemental with me. If you are worrying over debt then dont hesitate to call them today!!

brilliant

My name is neil jones and i have been taking out numerous payday loans over the last 4 years,i built up £6700 with credit card debts and payday loans, i have 11 creditors 6 of those are payday loan companys. i have been pestered day and night from my cerditors demanding the money i owed them,leaving embarrassing messages on works answerphone etc. i contacted payplan 3 weeks ago and i wish i had done it years ago. I am now paying £241 a month for the next 27 months and all of my creditors are happy with this and the im no longer scared to answer the phone. I must add this service is free and all the money you pay is given straight to the creditors and you can moniter your account on line to see whos been paid, also i must add the customer service is good as at the start of the plan I was emailing payplan with quieres on a daily basis and my emails were always answered in a coulpe of hours.
if your in debt give these guys a call you wont regret it.

ive been with payplan for 3 years,reduced salary,they are willing to listen.excellent products.,help reduce costs.red patatoe is invaluable,freezer broke,was able to get new one to replace broken one without going into debt.always giving advise on how to get cheaper deals,which all helps to pay debt off.best peace ive mind ive had in years.

The BEST thing I ever did!!!

Payplan has changed my life for the better. I didn't know where to turn, but I found a link to their website and never looked back. They are a not-for-profit organisation, which means that EVERY penny you pay goes to your creditors. Payplan do not take any of your payment for themselves. The staff are friendly and I have never felt judged for ending up in the financial situation I contacted them with. They dealt with all of my creditors, taking the pressure off me. They gave me sound advice when I needed it and kept in touch regularly. I will never be able to thank them enough.

not bad

we have been with payplan for 6 years most part they are helpful and try there best to give you advice, our dmp and iva are going ok but it would be better if they done a joint iva like other companies.they do need to update peoples debt totals monthly so we can keep an eye on what we owe really not estimated.

We really appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. We understand that having a “joint IVA” would be more convenient for you, however there isn’t such a thing as a joint IVA. All IVAs are individual, it is possible to have an interlocking IVA but it would depend on your circumstances for this to be a suitable solution for you.

As for updating balances, creditors do not tend to send them to us. All of our clients are informed that we do not seek to update balances on a regular basis as we contact all creditors towards the end of the plan to get accurate balances.

TGF Payplan

Following redundancy and some irresponsible spending I'd got myself into a financial mess. Terrified it was going to end up bankrupt and lose my family home, it was Payplan that gave me lifeline and have not only sorted my mess but have me on a firm monthly budgeting plan.

Three years in, it's been hard work but I'm midway to becoming debt free. I'll never get in that mess again, and can't thank Payplan for all their help not only initially in the set up of the plan, but also the ongoing support which includes good ideas and solutions to saving money.

slow to respond

Payplan have helped me a lot, but be aware they don't try to get creditors to reduce thier interest rates, and my outstanding balance is always wrong (much lower on the payplan site that the debt really is). THey have not been frank about this and I now I find I will have to live on almost nothing for 1 1/2 years longer than they suggested at the beginning of the plan. If things change you can expect a period of increased creditor pressure (letters, calls etc) as Payplan are pretty slow to notify them of changes.

Saved my soul and sanity

I dont know what i would have done or where i would be now if it wasnt for Payplan.. They are the best i have ever known. They are polite, courteous and ready to listen, they always answer your emails and phone calls. They set you achievable goals with your debts and are always there to help if you get those debts letters still coming. They reassure you.

Payplan saved me months of stress over financial issues!

I've now been with Payplan for over two years, and am pleased to say that the amount of stress, worry, phone calls and heartache over money worries that they've saved me over this period has been life-saving. I now have a manageable monthly plan that sorts out all my payments to creditors, who have all accepted the terms, and this helps me rest more easily every month, and get on with my life. Dealing with Payplan over any queries, creditor's letters, or new legislation is quick and easy, and so far, their personal service has been superb!

Beware, not all as it seems

Useless untrained advisor's, telling porkies when advising and when confronted with facts are unable to come up with a creditable answer. We would have been debt free now but we listened to them and now we are even more in debt. They are now sending us marketing information to try to take out car loans, so much for helping us out of debt. I have checked with the BBA and FA and they(PayPlan) are lying through their teeth when giving financial advice. Absolute S##t company, there are much better ones out there who do not lie to you and as PayPlan is funded by the CREDITORS it is obvious who they work for.

A shining light in the doom and gloom

We can not thank Payplan enough for helping us getting through the tough struggle of dealing with the ever increasing demands of our creditors in this bleak economy.
We reached a point where every penny we had was paying our creditors and we were finding it a struggle to find money for the basic nessecities. We searched online and found Payplan who ticked all the boxes for us. The advisors are brilliant and very friendly and helped is with any dilemmias that arose when dealing with our Creditors.
We pay an amount each month that is comfortable for us and Payplan do the rest of the work.
We can't fault this service they have helped us in so many way with the added bonus of additional services helping us to save money in areas such as home and car insurance, etc.

If you are having difficulties in keeping up with payments to creditors or just need some help, hubby and I would definitely recommend Payplan, we can not fault them.

WHERE WOULD I BE WITHOUT PAYPLAN??

I joined Payplan several years ago, my finances were dire. I was really nervous when I called in fact I even cried but they were really helpful and sympathetic and after I had spoken to them I felt like a great weight had been lifted from my troubled mind. They are constantly in touch and you get a review of your finances on an annual basis and if you aren't managing very well if necessary they will reduce your payment to make it better.

I would recommend Payplan to anyone who are troubled by debts, they are a professional Company who are only there to help you.

I was having sleepless nights and constantly worrying about my debt situation. I contacted Payplan and within minutes they put me at ease, informed me what they were going to do and have looked after me for the last six plus years. They are brilliant.

Invaluable product and company!

Having buried my head in the sand over my debts, having taking out so many credit cards, catalogues, store cards, I had a bag of unopened mail, when I got told about Payplan and decided to ring them.
From that day when I rang them and spoke to an advisor, it felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders.
It takes a little while to sort everything out, but once that's done, it's fine.

Great help in difficult times

We were going through tough times financially but Payplan's advice and support were what helped us see the light at the end of the tunnel. Their representatives are so clear and professional, yet human. We owe them a lot.

the best thing i have been told about and joined

Before joining payplan we just struggled with our debts. i suppose we just paid want we could when we could until a relative gave us the phone number of payplan. The start up was quite simple and now after 2 years of repaying a sum of money each month that suits our budget an end to our debt is in sight. It might be a few more years but we know that payplan will be with us all the way.

WE have been with Payplan for many years and have had no problems whatsoever, they keep tabs on my payments and come up with reccomendations how to reduce my outgoings.

Payplan helped us taking back control of our lives

When we first came across Payplan, we were dubious as to what help it could be, as we were paying back our debts with a similar company - but this one was taking 10% of our payments each month in commission.
We liked the look of the company, so decided to give it a try - and it's the best decision we've ever made!
From drowning in debt, we are now a year short of being debt free, at last, and without having to resort to bankruptcy, or loan sharks, or any of the many ways desperate people can be conned out of their money!
We have had a superb service, and our personal advisor's have always been there with helpful advice whenever a problem has cropped up.
I couldn't recommend them enough to everyone we know with financial problems - and it has been a godsend to know that every penny we've paid to them has gone towards settling our debts :)

BEST DEBT MANGMENT COMPANY

I was drowning in £10k of debt 2 years ago and I was refered to Payplan by National Debtline. After speaking to them and starting my debt management plan I no longer dreaded the telephone ringing or the post being delivered.They have quite simply taken the waight of my shoulders and I'm now 8 months away from being debt free. They have been extremely helpful and always sorted out every problem for me. All this is a free service which I think is wonderful and would highly recommend to anyone having trouble keeping up with payments. Other Debt Management Companys charge fees which would just make your situation worse.
