Generally good, but...........
Good, informative range of options on the website. Good prices. Communication was excellent once I'd decided to buy from PC Specialist and delivery was quick and efficient.
Set the machine up and it didn't boot up. Rang technical support who were friendly and helpful and after trying a range of options had to open the case and reconnect the hard drive. All fairly straightforward but quite fiddly and three quarters of an hour before it was up and working as a result of which I ended uo with a phone bill of nearly £5 (10p a minute).
Now this doesn't seem right to me: I should not be out of pocket because my machine didn't work. Now, certainly, it was in my interest to get the machine working on the day it arrived and presumably it saved PC Specialist time and money to not have to take the machine back and then send it out again.
Overall I am happy with the machine, I just don't think I should have had to pay to get it working.

Confusion clarified, customer enlightened.
It's a bit daunting trying to virtually build a computer with limited knowledge, but the voices on the other end of the phone were helpful, patient and clear when explaining the ins and outs to a layman. The computer appears to be nothing short of excellent. Lose 1 star as there was a delay in production because of a stock shortage.

Not the fasted to deliver, but product options, status information, email communication and feedback was excellent.
Being able to customize my purchase was vital to me. PC Specialist was one of the only companies supplying the combination of features I need at a reasonable price. Of particular note was the no-operating-system option, very important to me as a Linux software developer! The website made it easy to select the options required and allowed me to put together the best machine for my budget.
It took nearly two weeks before production started, I chose not to pay extra for an expedited service. Their average build times are displayed on the website and my laptop was dispatched almost to the mean.
On the product itself, build quality is good. I opted for a cheaper chassis, and it's okay, not quite as solid as my old Dell, much more glossy plastic where the outer shell of my previous laptop was a light metal alloy. Keyboard layout is a little curious too with the cursor keys squashed in between the main keyboard and numeric touchpad, which I'm not quite used to yet.
I would certainly recommend PC Specialist, their along with their convenient customer facing website, I had good responses to email enquires and their automated production management system kept me up to date with the status of my purchase. From my experience, the products seem to be very good value.

PC Specialist is a good company and I suck at catchy headers.
PC Specialist made getting a new PC very easy, especially for someone like me, who's never had to deal with buying a computer before. The website's interface was very clear and allowed me to easily find the place I was looking for.
Buying a custom PC was remarkably easy. There was detailed information about each component in the computer, so I was able to tune the specs to my needs and budget without a problem. The website even let me know that the PSU I was buying was unnecessarily powerful (and expensive) for the job, and gave me information on the total watts my system would use (plus the 20% allowance for times when the computer needed more juice). Additionally, there were a lot of different options for many of the components (depending on what they had in stock).
Ordering and paying for the PC was a standard process, no problems there.
When the PC arrived, everything worked. I immediately installed the Steam games I had yet to play (they weren't compatible with the old Macbook I was using) and they ran perfectly. I was still a little nervous when the PC arrived, and missed the sticker on the side of the case that had my Windows activation key. I went to the PC Specialist forums to ask where the activation key was and received good information from the members there in a very short time. I also called PC Specialist in my panic, to find out what the key was and a very polite (and very patient) man told me.
I was so scared about owning a PC, but this company has made things very easy for a noob like me, so they have my recommendation!

The 11.6" Inferno - Small and Mighty! An unregretable purchase!
A friend of mine recommended PC Specialist to me when I was looking for a new system earlier this year. The laptops I had looked at in the shops just weren't providing me with all the features I needed for a reasonable price. Said friend assured me that using PC Specialist would allow me to have complete confidence in the custom build. So with some careful decision making I placed the order, and excitedly watched the order updates each day. I was absolutely astonunded with the level of customer care and the involvement I had with receiving updates of the laptop's progress. The speed at which the machine was built and dispatched to me was brilliant. A precise balance between the machine being crafted with perfect care yet not keeping me waiting for too long. (I was seriously like a child at Christmas waiting for the dispatch!) So in terms of the order process upto the dispatch date, I'd give PC Specialist a 10/10. Now onto review the actual machine itself:
The Inferno is an absolutely fantastic machine that packs more punch than any other laptop, I've ever used. It's frame is lightweight, sturdy and sits well on any surface. Its size makes it easy to carry in a laptop bag without weighing it down or moving around inside.
In terms of the keyboard, it is comfortably responsive with nice, springy keys that don't need much pressure on, resulting in fluid consistency in typing documents.
The function and speed of the Inferno is absolutely amazing. It's incredibly responsive, booting in less than ten seconds. The SSD drive is an absolute dream, making the machine run completely silent and providing pleasing results at the same time. There's no vibration, no whirring and barely any heat coming from the machine, even after hours of use. The Inferno opens programmes seamlessly and can take a great amount of programmes running. It has not frozen once. I am yet to start gaming on the Inferno, but I have no doubt whatsoever that it will provide outstanding results and the ultimate power and performance. A most certainly small and mighty machine!
The high quality video and THX sound is absolutely out of this world. No word of a lie, the first night I had it I could have sat up all night and watched all my favourite movies and music videos in glorious HD and cinema sound. I am excited to see how well this enchances the gaming experience. Superb!
Other features included in the Inferno are all of the highest standard. The battery life of the machine can go for hours on end, the best battery I've had in any laptop! The power cable is nice and long and charges efficiently without obstructing the the laptop on various surfaces. The Samsung external DVD-RW drive works in perfect alliance with the Inferno, providing high quiality media playback. All the USB ports and the SD card slot are in all the right places and respond quickly and smoothly when working with other components, media being recognised first time, everytime.
My only complaint about the inferno would be that the touchpad is incredibly sensitive and often gets confused. Even with the slightest added pressure, the cursor will become the page scroller/magnifier when it is not required. This is quite irritating, but just takes some care to avoid. I am yet to find how to disable this feature, as I feel it is unnecessary.
Overall, the Inferno is one of the best purchases I have ever made. The highlights of the purchase being the professional order process, build time, the dispatch time and the level of communication and the involvement with the customer during this period. It is a very powerful machine that is easy to use, quick, reliable, smooth and delivers stunning quality in audio and video.
I will certainly use PC Specialist again. They are a very understanding, professional and honest company. As for the Inferno, I must say, that it is an amazing laptop that can provide something for everyone. Many thanks PC Specialist!

Bought 2 PC no faults
I have bought 2 PCs already which works perfectly and had no issues whatsoever.
The first PC was bought almost 2 years ago and its still works perfectly. This PC took longer to be built because there was a part that was out of stock, but not an issue for me. I have already recommended to friends about this website.

Quick, good quality parts.
Needing a new PSU for a new graphics card, I looked to PC Specialist as they built the machine, and upgraded on what they were offering.
Easy to buy from, great to deal with and with prompt delivery very easy to rely upon for great quality computers and parts.

Exceptional build time and helpful staff!
I purchased my new system for both work and pleasure and so it was important to have it as quickly as possible, i therefore purchased the fast track option and within 2 days it was good to go. After receiving it on the third day i couldn't have been happier, a quality build and packaged professionally.
The only issue i have experienced was a seemingly underpowered PSU causing graphic issues, the tech support was fast and efficient and thus far i have had no problems since.

Would definitely recommend
Everything was great regarding the customer service, product quality and price. The delivery was timely and the product did exactly what it was supposed to.
A couple of problems however have been noted...but these are more quirks than real issues. The Onyko speakers suck; no getting around it, no polite way to say it, they are just terrible. Thankfully I have 5.1 externals so I never planned on using them, so for me it's fine. The mouse buttons on the touchpad aren't great, you really have to press them to get them to work. Again though, I use an external mouse. So not an issue. There's also a strange issue regarding caps lock. When typing and using caps lock the window your typing in is momentarily deselected meaning letters are missed out...this is a bit of a pain and I'm currently working to resolve this issue.
Other than these 3 minor things the laptop is amazing: it's practically silent, it boots up in 3 seconds, it has no problem playing some awesome games, the screen is just stunning and I just love it. Would definitely recommend PC specialist to anyone.

Good quality and service
The computer is solid, works perfectly and was delivered in time. I was kept informed the whole time and am very happy with the end product. The website is clear and well laid out with good features. My only thought is It could have taken less time.

Excellent choice of custom specs, quality build, good price
I needed to build a gaming laptop for the household Minecraft addict. After specifying my system using the well thought-out configurator, I checked online to see if I could better it with an off-the-shelf system, and I couldn't. So I ordered, and found the flow of email during the build, test & delivery period reassuring. It took about a week to arrive, slightly ahead of schedule. Performance lives up to expectations. The only fly in the ointment was non-functioning trackpad drivers, which I found a fix for on the forum without much trouble.

fantastic service
Delivered ahead of schedule. Slight hiccup with power supplies but rectified immediately. Great service and response.
It would have been nice if I could have customised the GPUs more to my requirements. I only required 1 GTX 680M but this configuration was not made available so had to compromise and have 2 slower GTX 670Ms in SLI to stay in budget. These slower cards means I have to use both power supplies to get the same performance of 1 GTX680.

Bought a new desktop PC - Great service, product, and delivery - flawless execution!
I bought a brand new desktop PC through the website and was very pleased with the website, the communication during the build & delivery phase (you can log in at any time to see the status of your order), and the product itself. Even though I did not purchase any windows OS (I already have that) the computer still arrived with Win7 installed but not activated, saving me a lot of time and hassle.
I will be using PCSpecialist again!

Amazing service, fast build and delivery, very informative and good quality!!
I would highly recommend this service to anyone, they always kept me up to date with exactly what was going on, i was surprised at how fast they built my computer and then how fast the delivery was considering how far it had to go. Even before i had ordered my laptop the service was great with an amazing website that is so easy to use that actually teaches you how a computer works and all the parts! Overall i would highly recommend ordering from this company to anyone that is thinking about getting a new computer any time soon!

Great company, good quality products.
I've bought from PCS twice now, two laptops on separate occaions. The first one DID take a fair old while to arrive, (3 weeks) so I made sure to pay a little extra for a quicker turn around this time. The second laptop took 5 working days including the day I ordered it (at about 3pm) to arrive which was excellent.
Both laptops had great build quality, and I've had no issues at all with them so far. Really pleased with what I got.

Great all round service
My pc was built in good time and was in excellent working order as soon as it arrived. Contact from PC Specialist was good throughout the service and kept me well updated on the build.
The website was easy to use and my build was easy to configure. One addition i would like to the site is links to individual components for reviews etc. which will help amateurs such as myself make more informed decisions on certain components such as graphics cards, where cost to performance ratio is essential for many customers.
Overall excellent job and i would certainly consider using the service again and would definitely recommend you to anyone else looking to configure a PC but does not have the time to personally build one.

Quick dispatch and great product!
The Pc I ordered was built and delivered in 11 working days which I was very happy with. The quality of the product was great and was exactly what I wanted! Was very easy to setup as it came with easy to follow instructions (which came in handy when I had no idea how to get the wireless internet card to work). Service was of great quality and I would recommend it to anyone who is not brave enough to try to build their own Pc!

Great Service
I'd been looking at getting a new Desktop pc for ages, originally I was thinking about building it myself but a friend recommended me looking at PC Specialist, I’m really glad I did as the quality of service has been amazing: the website is easy to use and very clear, the dispatch and build time was within the time scale quoted, when it arrived it was excellent quality and had all the latest drivers installed and was ready to go once I set my user account up on window sand of course the price was very reasonable and much better than the equivalent from the rival companies.
Ultimately I cannot fault the service provided by PC Specialist and would certainly recommenced them to anyone looking to purchase an new pc or laptop.

Very fast service
very fast service and at a reasonable price. however building time was fairly long for the amount paid for the system, the cost to up the build time was rather steep, if half the price i would have paid the full build time price.

Great Laptop, Great Price, Great Service
I ordered one of the pre-built systems, as I'm far too impatient to wait for one to be built. The laptop itself is fantastic, but the communication from PC Specialist was excellent - keeping you informed all of the way on what's happening. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent - would use PC Specialist again
Awesome, from choosing the spec, the forums to help explore different options, the CRM experience and being kept up to date on progress was great, the delivery was smooth and again very good tracking.
Opened the box, all you would need, well packed and then powered on, great bit of kit and far better (and cheaper) than our branded laptop counterparts.

A superb customer experience that exceeded my expectations!!!
They exceeded their own turnaround times, the build was flawless and the delivery, which initially didn't suit me, was easy to rearrange. I almost can't believe I'm saying it but even the delivery company they used was superb. I used to be a stickler for building my own machines but I really can't see a reason to do so anymore - they were that good.
Although I didn't have a problem which, when one occurs, I like to think shows how good a company really is at dealing with its customers, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

Great product and overall service if a little slower to deliver than advertised.
Will definitely use again, already looking at options for my grandson who wants a high spec gaming machine. Now I know it takes a few weeks from order to delivery I can plan accordingly and the one minor issue is thus removed, which would make it 99% excellent. The other one percent is achieved when the Microsoft key that needs to be entered is printed somewhere other than just on the label on the back of the pc that required a magnifying glass to be able to read it.

what i wanted for less money.

Superb service and excellent value for money
This is the second PC I've ordered from PC Specialist. Both times I've received really brilliant service. My latest PC which arrived on 28/02/13 is a dream. Exactly what I ordered and in such a short time too.
I would also like to say, I was informed of my PC's progress every step of the way from day of ordering to the day of delivery.
I know I will get good aftercare service too from past experience with my first PC.
I highly recommend this company to anyone, no matter what PC you need.

Great Customer Service-Speedy Building of device
I highly reccommend Pc Specialist Ltd. they have a good tracking service with the stage at which your device is being built. Had a couple of questions for customer service and they got answered within a couple of hours. my laptop arrived a few weeks later with all of the cd's for installing and protective packaging.
Would definitely buy from here again.
