I took some items (which I purchased online) to my local store to return. Only to be told that I can't have a refund as I had paid via paypal, even though I had the debit card with me that is linked to my paypal account. I now have to pay approximately £6 to return the goods via post. If I had used the same debit card instead of paypal there wouldn't have been any problem!
I ordered a few items from Peacocks online - perfectly happy with most - but I needed to return 2 items. I took them to my nearest store (20 miles round trip) to be informed that I would have to pay for returning them to their warehouse as I paid with Paypal! My eventual refund took nearly 3 months to process - they should not advertise free returns if they don't live up to their promise.
ive ordered from peacocks for several years and was happy with the products till this year! i have always ordered the cosy pj's to layer up for winter and usually the fleece was very thick and cosy but this years ones are really thin and badly designed, the stitching was coming away on the legs. i tried to leave a review on there website but as they monitor the comments before posting it was not put on there site. they have lost my custom in future even if the pj's were £10. tut tut peacocks!
As soon as I had placed my online order I realised I had ordered the wrong size so immediately emailed them (it was a sunday even so unable to speak to them) so ask to change the size. They replied to my email Monday morning to say the order was already being processed so unable to change the order. I asked if I could cancel the order. Tuesday morning I received a reply saying no. Tuesday evening I get a confirmation of order email??? So the order hadnt been picked or despatched yet I was unable to change or cancel it??
