Worst experience everrrr!!!!

Well.... When i went to pick up my new adam on the second of september i was told there was a part ex which i never agreed to and that i would have to pay£100 before they would give me the car! Everything was fine after that for 3 months until i received i cheque in the post for £1200 which i did not expect. I rang the place that i got the car from to make sure it wasn't a mistake as i couldn't afford to pay it back if it was, they said no it wasn't a mistake and that i can do what i want with it... So i bought flights to go and see my family for the april. Well guess what!? A week later there on the phone telling me that it was a mistake and that they needed that money back straight away! Ridiculous! I explained that i couldn't afford to give it back as i have spent it in flights and that is exactly why i had phoned up the day i received the cheque! After a stupid amount of phone calls and 1 to head office i was passed on to the manager of that branch who said he thought i was lying ( i told him i could pay it back but needed time over a few months to do so) and that he was going to inform the dept collection agency they work with! This is still on going! And lastly i have discovered rust spots all over my car! ( it was 5 months old when i first saw them!!)its a white car so not a very good look is it! Phoned the branch again i was told ' its definitely not rust maybe something was dropped on your car'. What all over every inch with tiny orange dots? I don't think so! Was told to drive it to there body shop which took me 45 mins to get there and guess what? Its rust!! Now it has been over a month since they said there were going to sort it and 3 phone calls later and still nothin!!!!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!!

Avoid at all costs!!!!!

After visiting the mansfield branch for brand new vauxhall adam in january, i looked around he car, made the deal and left a deposit, promised 8 weeks till it was built and ready, they also did a credit check and all come back fine and i was accepted for finance.
Upon returning home i found out they hadnt put the agreed £2500 discount onto my order so we visited again and they did a new price which was about £20 a month cheaper.

So just before 8 weeks i sold my current car spent the money on a new kitchen and awaited a phonecall to say my car was ready.......nope 4 week delay they said, the two sales guys i spoke to promised to lend me a car in the meantime as it was there fault there was a delay, upon getting to the dealer they refused to lend a car as they "havnt enough in the pot" so ive been renting a car untill today (my new delivery date)

Woke up today all excited, having insured the car yesterday, got to vauxhall at 9am to get the keys and.....now hears the kicker......."sorry we cant get you finance on this car" my heart dropped and the girlfriend burst into tears (car was ordered for her) ive been waiting so long for this car, ive ordered bits like mats and keyrings for when he arrives and now there saying they put the new discounted price through the system and it wont accept me!

Im a school teacher who has a perfect credit rating according to expedian credit check, and i own my own home. This is shocking beyond belief, all i could get out of them is "i think its because you have been approved and then we canceled the finance agreement"

Ive just got back from the local ford garage and got approved there and then, pick my fiesta up on thursday, they could do enough for me! Avoid this vauxhall dealership at all costs!

Oh i cant even get my deposit back untill the correct department are back! Shocking?

They just want to rip you off.

This dealership just wants to pull peoples pants down, needed a spare key for my Astravan as I only received one when I bought it any way as I knew the key number I sent off for a cut blade and purchased a correct OEM fob so with these in hand I was passing this Vauxhall dealership so I went in to inquire about programming the said fob. The guy behind the counters first response was well that will take between 1-3 hours to reprogram a fob, are they having a laugh?!! My response was "I responded to say I have had loads of keys programmed and it doesnt take 1-3 hours" after going to consult the 'technical dept' he said "it might take a few attemps as it doesnt always work first time so it's a 1-3 hour job" at which point I walked out and went to an auto electricians who proceeded to program my fob in literally 3 minutes for £30.

The best buying experience so far.

Really surprised with negative reviews. Had really bad experience with my local Nissan dealer in Scotland so decided a 200 miles trip to Shefield Vauxhall might be worth it... and it was. Not just the price was over 10% better than locally, Catherine Cousin was great to deal with. Buying a car over the phone/email went more smooth than face to face where I live. Catherine knew answers to almost all my questions about car and if she didn't she would find out and phone back in few minutes. As I got EU driving licence it turned out finance papers cannot be procesed on weekend. Thank god she checked it, so I didn't had to drive 400 miles for nothing, not to mention I could colect my car 1 day earlier! I like taking care of my car and I can tell this car was well prepared, there were no dents or micro scratches on paint.

no way to hand over a new vehicle

i dont even think i could rate the company in all honesty.

Purchased a new movano arrived to collect on the 5th march after a 280 mile trip to sheffield only to find the brand new van had 2 large scratches down one side and further scratches by the side door. The scratches had been filled with i assume coloured wax to try and disguise them.

Of course nobody knew anything about them so why a couple of hours passed and the van was looked at by managers etc i walked around the showroom and at the rear managed to find an exact van to the new one.

After much debate and the turning down of the offer to repair the new van !!! they could not let me have the other van i found as i quote it had considerable extra cost due to additional equipment. Lucky for me in the end vauxhall said they would cover the extra cost of the supossed extra equipment which stangly was never found

to complicate matters further my trade in van had a small dent in one side although i did not have time to get this repaired a dent company estimated £60-£70 simple you would think. Pentagons body shop manager looked at the van/dent and the sales lady agreed that £60-70 was a fair estimate but they could not give me the cheque which i was due for the balance which was around £1400 until her dent man had seen it. Dont quite know why as they have an in house repair team and body shop

never the less the day was dragging on so i agreed 2 weeks later still no cheque despite phone calls and promises and yet further excuses

next step will be handing it over top my solicitor and claim loss and expense.

you would think £60-70 was nothing when i had to wait all day why they tried to get out of registering another van etc i would have least expected a full tank of fuel or something for my trouble and the fact that i did not get back home until 10.30 pm. Not impressed i have to say

Shame had 2 plumbers wanting combos and a sparky who was interested in a vivaro on the same job as me all seeing how my deal went...they went to Perrys in the end and i dont blame them

Brand New Car 6" Paint Defect -Our Problem -Awful Customer Service

What can I say.... We took delivery of a brand new Astra in December. 2 weeks after delivery a 6" manufacturing paint defect appeared on the roof as a dark patch in the red paint. Pentagon and Vauxhall's response, a re-spray - window out, boot off, head lining down......
Still fighting it. Pentagon say…….. Never had anybody reject a car... Because they won't let you. Vauxhall say it should be fixed under warranty and Pentagon just say. Vauxhall says repaint the roof.
Fantastic service by both... Not at all.
Would I recommend them....no .. It's the 2nd brand new car we have had from Pentagon. Won't be buying Vauxhall again.....

Terrible car and aftersales shocking

On buying a VX Insignia 1.8 SRi petrol I soon realised this car was not fit for purpose. Terrible engine and unacceptable to drive. I can't really blame Pentagon for this as Vauxhall made the car. However, first problem was a week in. Brake fluid had all leaked out due to faulty calliper (probably fitter error but I can't be sure). I was told to drive the car in for warranty repair. I was given a like for like hire car and 4 weeks later got my car back due to the part being on back order. Second problem was a loud rattle from engine. This was repaired again on the warranty. Third problem was that I had discovered a chunk missing from the tyre - the car had been supplied like this and Pentagon acknowledged it . An independent garage said it was an MOT fail. Pentagon refused to change it. I asked if they would take the car back. They only offered half of the original purchase price. Once you've bought the car, they are not interested. Don't buy a car here unless you want to be left in the lurch if there's a problem which is highly likely. I've managed to trade the car in for a Ford but lost £2.5K in 3 months.
