Website lies + Staff unhelpful + Company doesn't give two hoots
Would not use this company again.
The promise they make at the checkout - e.g. "Despatched within 24-48 hours" is not honoured.
Have emailed them screenshots of checkout page / called them to explain it's a gift and I need it on the date they quoted, they simply don't care and don't even acknowledge that they're making promises they can't fulfil.
I have had the worst customer service I have ever had. Their response was: "We have over 6000 products we can't get it right for every option. We cannot guarantee despatch and do not accept any liability for deliveries made outside specified lead times".
When I offered them three options, 1) Cancel order, 2) Despatch as per promise, 3) receive negative review they asked me to persue option 3 - so posting this review at their request.
My recommendation would be go elsewhere, do not give this company your money - once you do, you get no service and you'll be lucky to get the item you've ordered for when you need it.

im not happy with the service i have received at all
i ordered 2 engraved cloocks Order Number: MA65HL10010717
Order Date: 30 November 2012 22:26 GMT which was only ment to take 1 week to get deliverd to me so on friday 7th december when i still not received them i called to find out when they would be deliverd has i needed them for a wedding on saturday 8th december if i new they would take longer then a week i would not of ordered them anyway i was told they have been sent out on friday 7th december and i would recive them on monday 10th december but guess what im still waiting its been nearly 2 weeks now its unbeliveable so you are very lucky im giving you 2 stars

Not happy
My goods did not arrive when they were supposed to and no one responded to my e-mails until after the 5th e-mail, then went on to tell me I will receive my goods on Thursday a week late, this is not acceptable as I was told in an original e-mail they were being dispatched last week and I should of received them on the Friday I have asked for a full refund, as the items were needed for a christening which has now happened

Can they do the job? Yes they can
In spite of some complicated asks ('I'll pick it up'; 'Please post it') the half pint Sheffield made pewter tankard arrived safely and engraved correctly to its new owner, Max aged 9 weeks, which has much delighted his parents, brother (who has one too) and grand parents. Many thanks for all your help in this matter.

Not a happy customer
I ordered a gift for after my stepson graduation to make sure I had the correct degree on the tankard. The trouble started when TWO gifts with identical inscriptions showed up. I apparently ordered the same thing twice and have obviously paid twice for it. They say I ordered it twice but I only had one confirmation of the order, it had concecutive order numbers. I only wanted one I have ended up with two and paid twice. Not very happy and unlikely to use again.

Poor service+very disappointed
I ordered an engraved certificate holder box for my daughter's graduation on the 22nd November. I ordered the item on the 11th but it still hasn't arrived so I phoned the sales department who assured me they would look into it and ring me back.
No-one has rung me back so I still haven't a clue where the gift is or when it will turn up.
And obviously I wont be able to give it to my daughter on her graduation day.
Very disappointed, if there was a problem they had my contact details so they could have at least told me there was a problem.
No doubt will have to keep chasing them for an answer and I wont be using them again

Absolutely thrilled!
I purchased this glass tankard on behalf of my sons for their dad's 60th birthday - we are all very pleased with the tankard - my only negative is that I ordered on-line on Thursday but didn't receive till the following Tuesday and it was his birthday on Monday.

a very disapointing experience.
Goods did not turn up in time for my sons 18th. Polite customer service but no apology offered. Was told it would turn up the day after his birthday. It didnt. It arrived the following day in a nice presentation box that wasnt deep enough for the tankard causing the lid not to fit. The tankard was a nice design but the workmanship around the handle area was poor. Not very satisfactory and will not be using this site again.

nice enough but maybe wouldn't return
bought an engraved tankard in a gift box. The engraving is word perfect and the box is very nice.The tankard however is heavy and the engraving lovely but the tankard itself has two lines one down either side almost like a seam, these give it a very cheap look. Also there was no tracking information provided and the delivery took a wee while although it arrived in time for the occasion it was an anxious wait.

Very willing to go the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction
Overall I have been very happy with my products and service from Personalised Gifts Engraved.
There was a misunderstanding over what we wanted engraved on some of our gifts but the company were more than happy to rectify the mistake and have got the items out to me very quickly.
I would definitely use the company again.
My only recommendation would be to maybe update the website so that it asks for more specific details for the engraving so what is wanted is clearer and less easy to be interpreted wrongly.

Shockingly bad, don't bother, item didn't arrive and claiming money back via bank.
Please don't order from here, I ordered a 70th birthday gift for my father 2 weeks before his birthday, it never arrived. The promise of delivery in 5 days is wrong, the promise of contact from them if not is false, you can never get through on the phone and they don't answer emails. Truly shocking, i seems like a one ma in his house outfit.
Currently trying to reclaim my money via my bank as they don't respond to my emails.

Perfect Gift!
Ordered a Tankard for my friend's Passing out parade for the Army. Had it engraved with his Regimental coat of arms, and a personal message on the back. Quality of the tankard and the engraving was absolutely spot on.
Ordered using the express option and it arrived when they said it would. Certainly will be using them again!

Excellent product, excellent service.
I placed an order online for 6 engraved tankards. I emailed over the logo and text to be engraved. The full delivery arrived 5 days later as advertised, fully engraved, without a single problem, well pakaged and in individual boxes. Offered everything I could have asked for.

Unacceptable delays followed up with unkept assurances. Poor.
Tanakrd ordered 27 August with a request that it be delivered no later than 7 September, well within the time frame for a 5 day despatch turn around.
Called 6 September and was advised gift had been despatched for delivery next day. It hadn't.
Followed with enquiry the following day advising Saturday 8 September was the deadline for receipt of gift as the recipient would returrning home to Australia after that. Advised that it would be put on delivery for saturday morning. It wasn't.
Merchandise tracker still showing gift as not having been despatched. Assurances were evidently hollow.

Useless
I ordered a number of engraved hip flasks as presents to guests at my wedding. I added the express service option at £17 as I had left it a little late. The guaranteed the order within 48 hours.
I then received an email the following day stating that they were out of stock and did I want an alternative product or a full refund. I opted for the refund, and stated such via email. There was then no further communication to confirm that a refund had been arranged, or to apologise for not being able to fulfill my order. I tried to call their office to find out what was happening, but I got a recorded message stating that the office was closed, despite calling during the day on a workday, well within their stated opening hours. I left an answerphone message asking for an update, but never received one.
So why am I annoyed?? I can accept that businesses like this probably don't carry a huge stock, and that they may run out of a particular item. However, given that I'd paid £17 for the express service, I would expect a call to discuss the matter. As it was, I didn't actually get the email until after 17:30 due to being at work, which meant it was too late to go to another supplier that day. Fortunately, another company was able to fill my order quickly and with brilliant contact throughout the process [Link] and I will buy from them again.
Oh and another thing, if you look around, you can find plenty of places that offer the standard engraving for free.
Whilst the hip flask itself was cheaper here, when you add in £4 for engraving, my overall order from [Link] was cheaper, including a really nice wooden presentation box!

also the tankard came in a beautiful box then a bag to put the box in
i did not have to do any more just give my son in law his present
he has taken a photo of the tankard then emailed all his friends

Good product-shame about the engraving
The hip flask arrived quickly and was well packaged. However the script engraving is so faint, it is difficult to see. Maybe a different style would have been better and not offer this one as it is weak.

Fantastic gifts and speedy delivery
I bought my husband a pewter mug and he loved it so much his brother took a liking to it so have now got him one for his birthday. It's a nice touch to put whatever you like on the engraving. I was so shocked that it got posted to me so quickly. The parcel was wrapped up very well. There is a tiny scratch under one of the words of the engraving but can't really see it. It's going to have many more scratches in years to come. My husband's mug has many scratches. Fantastic website. Thank you

If you want it quick give it a miss!!!
I placed my order late on a Wednesday night. I needed a engraved tankard for a presentation on theSaturday. This site promised delivery within 48 hours by paying £10 extra for express delivery. I rang and checked on the Friday that I would be receiving tankard on the Saturday and was assured I would. It did not arrive.
I rang up on the on the Monday to enquire about its whereabouts.
I as told by that they woud have to check with the warehouse and thywold ring me back. After 4 hours and no phone call I again rang up and was told there had been a problem and it would be despatched that day. I was also told that a refund of the express delivery fee would be sorted immediately. It is now Sunday and I have still not received the refund.
Tankard turned up on the Wednesday, much too late for the presentation!!!!!!!

Rubbish it didn't arrive when we were told so we didn't have the cake knife for our wedding!!!!
The first cake knife was out of stock after I had placed the order so I then picked another one. I double checked it would be with us for two days before our wedding day to give us plenty of time and they replied to say it would be here. When it didn't arrive I emailed again to let them know and they never responded. The cake knife arrived after our wedding day. NOT happy!

I ordered a graduation mug for my daughters boyfriend, which I admit turned up on time. My dismay when he opened it up infront of all my friends and family to see that it had a Liverpool football logo on it (which added insulst as he is a massive West Ham fan) and the inscription read happy 65th Bill on it. Not very funny.

Not what I asked for
Requested 2 tankards, both engraved but one with a logo to be added (costs £6 extra). Checked by email if the logo was suitable to be engraved and I got a very quick reply confirming what I needed to know, the speed of the service purchasing the item was very quick also again with quick responses by email.
Items arrived, the one tankard I requested to have the logo engraved on was blank, no logo on it but did have the text.
Rather annoyed as it's very obvious from the receipts etc that I requested the logo. Now extra hassle to get sorted!

The tankards arrived fast enough and the customer service replied to my e-mail extremely quickly which is fantastic.
The pewter tankards themselves are okay. Bit thinner and more plasticy than I imagined but were cheap, so should've guessed!

Not very Happy
Ordered an engraved tankard it was delivered damaged. The base looks like it had been pressed. Replacement can't be sent without returning damaged original.
Whether damage happened prior to packaging as box does not seem damaged or caused buy courier I can't telll. The tankard was meant to be presented as a retirment gift so thats been spoiled. Please check your QA before packaging/dispatch and inform your courier that they are not transporting bricks.
