Ordered a olympic bar with collars form PHD fitness. Bar came just over a week later, packaged in basically a plastic bag wrapped in tape, which was ripped half off. Delivery driver placed bar and two collars not packaged in my hand and disappeared. Got the bar into the house to find the two L shaped screw for the collars missing ! Whether they were in their in the first place I don't know, but they are useless without them...
Emailed PHD next day saying parts missing please could you contact me, 3 days later no reply. Then phoned up and told them what was missing and was told they would sort it out and would contact me and took my number, 4 days later no reply . Phoned up second time told the bloke what had happened , didn't sound interested at all and started getting all snotty saying we have no record of this. In the end he said they will have to contact supplier and get them to send some directly to me and will be about a week ... nearly 2 weeks later still nothing, give up brought some off ebay at a extra expense to myself at £6 and they come the next day. Also brass bush is half hanging out of one end, so wouldn't say it was great quality!!
No complaints at all against PHD as they always have great service, great prices on great products. Only problem is that they use DPD and intercity express which is by far the WORST courier ever!
They don't deliver on time and say they've been to the door but EVERY SINGLE TIME I've ordered something and told my wife to wait for a delivery she stays in the whole day and the bell never rings! Completely wastes a day and have to end up collecting it from the depot myself which is over 10 miles from me!! They say they left a card as no one was home but in over 3 months I've never had a single card left. Very poor service and for this reason alone I will not be shopping here any more as what's the point if I don't get what I order???
I purchased 3 items from PHD Fitness. One was a large tub of whey protein with a best before date in April 2012. The other was expiring in June 2012. I got them on 20 March 2012.
I only looked at the best before date because the powder has become sticky and it was not the smooth fine dust-like substance you expect to see in a tub of whey protein. On top of that it had a sour smell.
I felt deceived purely because it was a large tub and I would not be able to finish even half of it before it expires.
In my opinion a reputable and self-respectful business cannot afford to sell about to expire products to their clients. Normally these products have up to 2 years expiry dates. For comparison I bought last week a tub of whey protein from Holland and Barrett and the best before date ( I checked it today) was December 2013. I will try to buy my stuff from them.
Going through recent reviews about PHD Fitness I noticed it has happened before.
I am not going to purchase stuff from this company in the future. Avoid.
I recently purchased PHD Whey Protein from this company and I found the service very good. They charge for the delivery but the product was shipped and delivered on time. Prices are ok and as far as I understand PHD- Fitness.co.uk and Monster supplements are owned by the same company trading under two names.
Monster supplements advertise with delivery price and PHD.

I know it is couple of pounds difference but please dont forget it is the same company trading under two names.
So far arrived on time, product in date and tastes good! Now the real test is does it work well we will see I will let u know but my mate uses it she gone from size 12 to 4 in a year if less so hope it does with me lol!
I’ve been sent supplements that are out of date. On questioning this I was told “even a year after something goes out of date it’s ok to take”. That’s a hell of a statement. Only after pushing the issue was I given the option of sending it back at my 'own expense', or being given a 10% off my next order. Disgraceful customer service.
I called to check stock after reading quite a few bad reviews, but they assured me they had 10 in stock, so I ordered on the website immediately. The next day (After they had taken payment) they tell me the goods have been despatched and then they tell me there has been an error and the goods are not in stock - they then take ages to repay the money.

I order some supplements from this company and when they didn't arrive, I called to find out why and they said they couldn't find my order on the system. I explained how the money had already been taken out of my account and wanted the products sent out to me... The reply I got was that it could take weeks to sort out. I'd have to email my bank statement, wait for them to look into it and then wait for a refund and then re-order the goods! A CRAZY way to do business! They were not even friendly on the phone, when it's their company's fault, they could at least be apologetic. I shall not be ordering from them ever again - or their sister company monster supplements.
