I haven't received my item yet as today is the last day til the 4-6 days are up but I have messaged several times as my Royal Mail Tracking number isn't working so I cant track my item but then it also said on one thing it was Curry's delivering it but the number doesnt work there either :(. I'm so confused! I have also read the reviews after I ordered it and I am getting scared of getting screwed over :(
Worried and Confused consumer
I ordered something on 26th December, admittedly I knew it was Boxing Day and probably wouldn't get verified until at least 27th December. I get a phone call on 27th saying that I have to verify the order, which is good. The lady on the phone said I should receive my delivery within 24-48 hours, (so either 28th or possibly 31st as most deliveries don't come on a weekend). I never received my delivery on either dates, so I rang up the customer services and was told that I had been sent an email with regards to delivery, which I didn't receive. I asked them to me one again which they couldn't for some reason, anyway I asked them for a tracking number for the parcel however they could not provide me with a tracking number because until the delivery sent and they receive a number of the delivery firm they can't give me one, so I realised that my parcel was not sent out straight away. I rang back a couple of times to ask about the tracking, and I got the same answer, "wait until you get an email saying about delivery" I had to ring back 4 times to get a proper answer, and in the end they said they would refund me my delivery charge which I thought was reasonable considering it was £40. The final time I rang back was great because the guy on the other end of the phone seemed to know what he was doing, and sorted the refund out straight away. Yet the previous days, I had to ask what was going on with my enquiry because the guy who was meant to be sorting out my enquiry had finished on a half day and forgot to pass on my details to someone else to sort out, this wasn't helped at the time by the customer service assistant having a strong international accent so it was very difficult to understand what they were trying to say, I feel really bad when I kept asking to repeat themselves. Overall, it was an ok service and I understand that I ordered during holiday period but customer service needs to be worked on in the future.
I am happy with my product and would probably use pixmania again, during normal season to see how they faired in delivery as it would have been unfair to judge their delivery service during a period when the calendar is full of national bank holidays.
I bought an Ingo Hello Kitty Tablet for my daughter in November ready for Chistmas, stupid me for being prepared!! Within 3 days of Christmas Day, the screen cracked by my daughter touching the touchscreen without force, and it took till 3rd January for them to give me a returns notification to get my money back. The product is now back with Pixmania but they have just got back to me stating that it broke due to improper use! How can a 4 year old who is used to an iPad improperly use a tablet unless the product is Unfit for purpose? Now Pixmania is wanting to send me the broken product back, which is still broken to a 4 year old, still believing in Father Christmas!
I am confused with Pixmania's customer service and at the moment I am really not impressed with them! What has happened to a years' warranty?
I have used Pixmania twice in the past three years, and I've been nothing but impressed by them.
My first purchase three years ago, was a Samsung TV which explicitly told me it was a European plug (These idiots giving 1 star reviews because of a bloody plug really need to pull their heads out their rear-ends and LEARN TO READ EVERYTHING PROPERLY). Plus they even sell the converters for £2-£3 and is also recommended as an addition to the original purchase, I honestly have no faith in humanity sometimes if they can't read or pick up that hint.
Second purchase was on the 20th of December, I busted my headset and mouse...I work from home and these are essential to me, I ordered a RAT7 and a FREQ5 to which they promptly arrived via UPS 3 days later (Again, people giving 1 star reviews for late shipping on Christmas...grow the eff up, it's a courier issue not their issue, plus if your area is only signed up for Yodel delivery..go and talk to your parish/council to sort out depos for other companies).
I had the unfortunate scenario where I received a DoA headset..not Pixmania's fault, just a bad headset, the packaging was impeccable it was in a nice large sturdy corrugated box with plastic air pockets for shock absorb. I sent an RMA ticket in, they sent me an e-mail, I booked with UPS to pick up on the 1st of January and I am now sitting here with my £100 spent on the headset 7 days later during January when the returns rate is going to be mental.
I was first apprehensive about ordering from Pixmania after reading for the reviews, but they are honestly ID10T and user errors. If you have an issue, like I did, don't slap a one star review on a great company. Use their support lines, they always answer within 24 hours. Oh, forgot to mention, I saw some illiterate idiot saying "Bank transfers are fast, they take 3 days in the EU", please don't listen to him...international transfers can and might take up to 14 days to process., how do I know? I deal with international bank transfers on a daily basis and it is a pig, especially round December/January.
Edit: Mouse broke after two months of use, decided to just get a refund. The phone operator who I had was absolutely and I mean absolutely appalling. She was the most rude and aggressive person I have EVER had to deal with on a phone line in my life. I'll be honest, I was not happy about that after I received great service from their phone lines before. It seems like a few bad phone operators and support operators are causing you issues Pixmania, this needs to be addressed.

I ordered a logitech remote from pixmaina on 22/11/12 and I soon received an email saying that the order had been received and I would receive my item in about 5 days...
Guess what? Its the 4/1/13 and still no sign of it! No email of apology for delay and no refund; nothing!
I rung customer services to complain about my experience with them about two weeks ago and they said they would get beck to me within five days about what went wrong. What reply did I receive? None.

After ordering a package of headphones and audio lead, the delivery guy turns up with one box containing an audio lead, i ask if there is another box and he says no, he basically couldnt speak English and was ignorat and rude, Northgate should not employ people with such a poor understanding of our launguage.
After making a call he leaves with the one parcel and i have to start emailing to find out what has to be done about this outstanding order (a Christmas present for my son) i am told they will investigate and that the parcel was delivered, it may have been, but not to me!!
Two days later and no further on, if this is not resolved ASAP i shall be taking legal advice and posting to numerous forums and review sites to ensure the word is out there.
Today is the 11/01/13, so much for a 5-10 day review turnaround time, i have been credited £2.00 the value of the cable i returned (because the headphones were not in the parcel) and nobody has emailed or contacted me regarding the missing headphones or a refund on the £59.00 im still owed, this is just not acceptable!!!!!!!
Here is my latest experience with this comapany. I think they need to have a good introspective look into their systems, processes, procedures as well as their supply chain, if they do not want to loose more business. They have certainly lost my business.
I ordered some Corsair PC memory and a Microsoft Natural Wireless Ergonomic Keyboard from them, and paid extra for next day delivery.
As far as the memory is concerned, they sent me an email on the day they were supposed to deliver, to tell me it was out of stock, and that it might become available again affter 10 - 14 days, but with no guarantees.
I checked their website the same day, only to find out that it was still listing the product as "in-stock", and was still accepting orders for it. Furthermore, Pixmania.co.uk, despites the product was out of stock, still charged my bank account. Since they have a validation stage in their sales process, in my opinion that stage should have picked up the fact that the product was out of stock and not make a charge to my account, untill the product was actually being dispatched. To add insult to injury, they even charged the next day delivery charge, despites knowing fully well they where not going to hit that deadline. After replying to their email and asking them to contact me via telephone to discuss other options, they sent an email response saying I should contact them on their customer service number, which is not a free-phone number by the way. When I got through to their customer services, I tried to change my order to a different type of memory, that their customer service rep assured me was still available and in stock. He told me I could not do a simple swap and pay the difference. I would have to pay seperately for the new order, and get a refund to my account for the previous order, which could take up to 10 working days. At this point I agreed with this, and said OK, lets do this... can we complete the purchase transaction over the telephone? Their customer service rep started a new order by (believe it or not) logging on to the pixmania web site with my account details, totally bypassing my password. He then proceeded to place the new order through the normal customer side web system, and got to the point where he needed to process my payment. I gave him my card details, and he started to process the payment, only to get to the point where the Verify Secure By Visa system was triggered and asked for my security details credentials. At that point the pixmania customer services rep advised me he could not complete the order, because I had this extra security step set up on my card, and he could not ask for my password details. He then cancelled the transaction, locking my card in the process, but not advising me of this at this stage. He then proceeded to advise me that the order would still be available on the pixmania site, and I should just log in to complete the payment. When I attempted that, to my surprise, I found my card had been locked at the Verify Secure By Visa step, and I could not complete any transactions without speaking to my bank customer services, at another non-free telephone number. Whell at least they refunded my original order cost and the cost of next day delivery. I cancelled the new order as well from their web site and ordered from Overclockers.
As far as the keyboard is concearned, it arrived about a week later, with a German key layout, despites having been ordered on their UK site, charged to a UK bank account, billed and delivered to a UK address.
Overall, very bad service and fundamental mistakes at every step of the process, Bad and out of sync stock and websites e-commerce systems, bad and non-existing order validation process, bad customer service training failing even the minimum security requirements as far as it concernes telephone/online payment processing systems, products in foreign format not clearly labelled as such. Very poor service on all fronts in my opinion. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered a Samsung TV. Came with no UK power cable. Has taken 3 weeks to get them to send me a handful of crappy adaptors, when I've asked them to send the cable. I'd never use them again.
Update 08/01/13: Heard from a very friendly lady representative of Pixmania, who promised to sort it out. In the meantime, have received even more adaptors and while i have yet again explained it to the Rep (who promised to do something) - I still haven't got a UK cable for the TV. Thinking of reporting this to the Trading Standards office as a breach of contract and the appropriate Electrical safety Standards.......
I bought an LG Monitor from them and it came with an EU power supply. I called them and they sent me out some adaptors. Now i've seen these before and I told them that it wouldn't work because the plug was molded onto the power block. Still they sent them out and they didn't work as I had predicted.
I called them again and sent them a few photos. There response was to tell me they would give me up to £5 to purchase my own adaptor.
You can't sell a product to the UK market if you can't provide the necessary accessories to make it work in the UK.
They keep asking you to buy extra things. Then even after you have refused they try to trick you into buying extras by putting them in the cart, you have to then remove them. I made a mistake and wanted to cancel my order but they couldn't cancel it because it had been 'Forwarded'. They told me to refuse the delivery. Item was ordered at weekend despatched monday, apparently it was out for delivery yesterday (wednesday) although it seems no attempt was made. Today (thursday) an attempt was made at 18:40, as it is a work address no one was in. I have been receiving parcels from royal mail and couriers all week so I can only conclude that the courier firm they have used (bpost) is useless.
I ordered an Ipad mini which showed up as 'in stock' on the Pixmania website. I paid £15 for express 24hr delivery and it should of been sent out that day before midday. 2 days later I called to find out that the product wasn't even stock, no email... no notification... nothing. Now Im waiting to get my money back via paypal and I need it for a christmas present. Furious.
REPLY to PIXMANIA's REPLY:
Don't talk utter rubbish to try and make Pixmania sound professional. I checked my order online and it stated that it had been validated. Surely after my delivery date had came and gone I should have received an email telling me that my ipad didnt even exist. My friend ordered an ipad on the same evening and you sent him the wrong colour... wrong spec.... then told him to send it to France for a refund. Two orders... and two cockups.... you couldnt make it up!

I have placed my order days ago. The order included an SD card which I needed to take some shots of my cousin's wedding during the next Saturday.
I have used Pixmania many times in the past with no problems. Even though, whenever there was an issue there was an excellent support.
Nowadays, (I guess it's financial crisis effect?) the order SD card never arrived. I have contacted them and I was said that I need to wait until the 10 working days deadline (fair enough). I waited that. Nothing arrived. After contacting them again I was said that I need to wait for 10 more days now to investigate (through the shipping company) and locate the item. If not found, then they should return the money.
I asked them to resend a new one by Express Shipping so that I can receive it before the upcoming wedding. They refused that. They insisted that I have to wait for the deadline until the investigation is completed.
The sad fact is that I have to buy one SD card from a local store now without having that budget which is reserved by Pixmania.
After many email requests they have said that they will return the money today but it will take 4 working days for this to be shown into my account.
Point is that for almost one month now I have paid for something which never arrived. After so many emails of communication it seems that I have to pay again to another store and buy it. And if I am lucky enough to get my money later.
If they could only resend it by express shipping now, I wouldn't be an unhappy customer. But they choose not to, so I have to warn Pixmania Prospects about their future orders, especially if they want to order something with a deadline in mind.
I was looking to buy a stereo system and knew exactly what I wanted. After scouring the net Pixmania came up with the best price.
I've used them before so I am aware that all the kit seems to come from France - hence the euro mains plug everytime.
I would have given 5 stars but this time there was no adapter, so I was left hunting for an adapter from something previous.
No hesitations to use them again though.
Never used this company before. Ordered a camcorder for a Christmas present for my husband. It was cheaper than Argos and was delivered before the date given in perfect condition. Very impressed. Would definitely use this company again.
Order placed on 15/11/2012 :DELONGHI Magnifica ESAM4200S Coffee Machine
Received Coffee machine and after a telephone call with Delonghi I was advised to return the item as it was obviously faulty. I completed the return procedure but was unable to print the voucher. I have emailed to ask why it is not possible to open the voucher and have received no reply. Today is the 26.11.2012 - I guess I will not be enjoying a cup of coffee any time soon!
In light of the non existent customer care I will not be requesting a replacement but a full refund. I will not be purchasing from Pixmania in the future.

I ordered a 32" Toshiba TV which took 6 days to reach me from stated date of despatch. When I contacted customer service which was not easy because insufficient information was given as to how to negotiate their automated phone service after five days I was advised to contact the delivery agents myself to find what had happened to the goods which was really their responsibity
If I thought or knew someone who might be looking for a consumer electrical device or camera I'd recommend they check out Pixmania. Usually, not always, they have the best deal.
To go with that they deliver fast.
So product, price and delivery are all up to if not exceeding expectations. This equals a high ***** star recommendation!
Ordered a new TV which arrived with a European plug on it.
Not ever so impressed as I live in the UK, ordered it in the UK and had it delivered to a UK address. So why oh why would I want a bloody European plug?
I accept they say something about European plugs but no adapter was sent.
More annoyed that I had to make a special trip out to buy a decent adapter which just added cost to TV.
Also the usual Yodel service applies so my box was bashed and the driver was a useful as a chocolate teapot.
I bought a tablet for 100 EUR, which was on sale from 280EUR.
Obviously they made a mistake with that price, so instead of telling me the truth, i waited for the packega and received an empty box, luckly i didnt accept it.
After 3 investigations in 4 weeks they concluded that the box was empty, but they no longer have item in stock. Actually they do, but thats not them, its their "partner".
So after 1 month of promising my kid that he will get his present, they told me i can buy it from them for 279 EUR.

Over the years I have purchased two televisions and recently a telephone answering machine from Pixmania
I have found the ordering process simple, the prices excellent and the delivery first class.
You can only speak as you find and I could have been fortunate in never having to return an item or contacting Customer Services. My experience has only been positive.
I am not going to talk about how things are when things come out well. There suposed to. By defect, buying at a online star should be a 5 star experience. You buy it, pay it, and before you know its at your door. With pixmania it's not like that. I have rarely have had good experiences with Pixmania, and when I have it has been buying though other vendors on its online store. Even once someone stole my bank info and stole almost 400 euros from my bank account and pixmania wasn't able even to tell the police a delivery direction. Ridiculous. Thanks god that time the bank covered the losses.
This case is about a hard drive. A Lacie Rikiki 1tb portable hard drive. After seeing that Pixmania is where it was cheaper, I tried to buy it. First of all it's frustrating to buy at this shop because of inexistant descriptions, they only want to tell you all the other things you should buy with the item. In this case it was even more difficult because the same item existed in 2.0 and 3.0 usb and was not well diferentiated in the item title. I accidently bought the 2.0 version. Of course, when you enter your my info page, you cant click on the item you bought and can only see the item name (which this case isnt helpfull) and therefore only found out I didnt buy what i thought I bought until a receipt reached me 3 days later. It was not possible to cancel the shippment, so had to recieve the item. Thats the moment when problem starts. Virtually inexistant, slow and generic help. The phone line is a expensive pay per minute with inexperienced workers. First they told me I could return it in person, then, that I could not. There option is to send it from Spain where I live to France, which would cost me a third part of the products value only in shipping.
In the end, I am real mad and writing a review because of my impotency to do anything else. Sadly, its one those company you end up buying from with your fingers crossed just because of good prices...
I've dealt with Pixmania before and would recommend them to anybody. The prices are about as good if not better than you would get elsewhere and delivery is quite fast. This time I bought a Logitech Harmony One Remote Control. This is one of the best items that I have ever bought. - Multi Remote Control with very simple set up and operation. One very minor niggle is that it is the Euro version which was not obvious from the listing. - It therefore has a 2 pin Euro plug and no adaptor was supplied. Adaptors are cheap enough which isn't the issue. The unit comes with hardly any charge, so I couldn't use it until I got hold of an adaptor. - At Pixmania's price, I'm not grumbling that a 99p adaptor wasn't thrown in free, just that if it was made obvious from the listing that one was required, I'd have ordered one at the same time. No huge issue. - I would still recommend Pixmania. I would have given 4.5 stars, but that's not available!
My dealings with Pixmania were fine. The website is good and functional. The delivery by Knowhows or whoever it was supposed to be was rubbish - it didn' t arrive and their phone help line tried to blame me for the non delivery. The rudest and most unhelpful helpline ever.
Pixmania I think ( although I have yet to receive my dishwasher 2 weeks on) were helpful and as far as I can see have ordered me a replacement which I am still waiting for.
Ordered a new washing machine through Pixmania.com. I paid £180 less than if I'd gone to Currys. Irony is, the machine actually came from Currys and was delivered by them!! The whole process was brilliant from start to finish, only had to wait 2 days for delivery. I'd recommend them anyday.
I have bought a TV and an Oven from pixmania and the price was the best around, delivery was very fast and the items were faultless.
I will buy from this site again and again.
You get confirmation emails at every stage & delivery has always been quicker than originally stated.
(Cheaper than Currys - delivered by Currys... go figure)
Sometimes you win - I've no problems with Yodel, I live on the edge of civilisation in Scotland and have to have to lot of stuff delivered. They know us and stuff turns up OK. Pixmania are conservative in their delivery promises and usually beat their date.
i bought a Netgear Wireless Range extender. the reviews warned that it comes with a continental plug and converter - it did, a bit oversized, but it's easy to cut the plug off and fit a UK one. The reviews also warned the instructions for set up were in French - they were. The reviews also said they were rubbish even in English, and some helpful person explained how to do it. I wish I'd printed that off, because in the 3 or 4 days it took to arrive (I was out first time) the whole entry - product and reviews - had disappeared from the Pixmania website (or at least I couldn't find it - nor could the history entries in my browser). I spent an unhappy hour strugging to find another source of help on the internet.
Pixmania overall - sometimes they're cheaper than other sites, but all the extras they try and add in automatically mean I avoid them otherwise.
This is the second TV I have purchased from Pixmania, the whole process from start to finish is simple and hassle free, and you get great discounts on high street prices. The products are even delivered by the same company (Currys) that they are undercutting. The product is excellent and I am very impressed, will definately use this company again.
I order online all the time and have very few problems, the one time I have used Pixmania I received a scanner/printer with a broken glass scanning bed, no damage to the shipping packaging to indicate a shipper mishandeling the box. The customer support has been hopeless! I've exchanged a few polite emails but It's now been 3 weeks since I received the scanner / printer, no resolution to the issue, in fact I had an email stating that the parcel had been lost although it's sitting signed for in my hallway! Customer support have stopped replying to me... I will not be using them again.
I have ordered things from Pixmania several times. I was absolutely happy with their service. The problems started when their delivery company (Yodel - you can read some reviews about them. They are worst delivery company in the word.) did not deliver my parcel. On the 15 Sept. I have ordered a film scanner from them, today is 18 Oct. and I don't have my parcel, I don't have my money. Every time I am calling them they say that everything is fine and I will receive my money today, obviously that is all not true, today lasts for the last 2 weeks. I am absolutely devastated, I am a photography student and £ 214 is a big sum of money for me. As I am shooting film, film scanner is an essential thing for me. I can not order a new one, I can't scan my projects for Uni, they not only took my money but they also stop me from doing work, as I don't have money to order it from someone else. Horrible month of my life. In total I had to call Yodel and Pixmania 19 times during this month, I have written 3 emails and no result. The made my life so complicated, I'm calling Customer Service almost every day.
