I make a point of always ordering from you. I discovered that you were one of the only people to stock the serenity model I wanted about 5 years ago and have been a happy play customer ever since.
I never wait too long for the stuff that I order, no extortionate delivery fees and you can get such an amazing range of stuff
I have shopped with play since 2002 and ordered over 235 items in that time. Items that I order are always delivered extremely quickly. I have found their prices are ultra competitive and the postage is free. I have never had any problems with quality or delivery. I had a problem with a DVD that I ordered recently, as I did not realise it was in a foreign language, no problems at all in returning it for an immediate refund. Highly recommended
I always used to buy stuff from Play.com but more recently I've found their prices often aren't as good as Amazon.co.uk and they seem to have introduced things which show adverts, after you've bought something, for other annoying offers like "Get £10 off your next order if you sign up for a trial on one of these other sites..." etc. It was nicer when it was simpler... 3 clicks and a password and I'd be done without any extras in my face!
Pretendeert en adverteert gratis verzending naar andere Europese landen buiten de UK, maar de prijs voor de producten in euro's is vele malen hoger dan de prijs in Britse ponden. Eigenlijk betaalt men dus alsnog voor de levering. Voorbeeld: Joe Browns Men's Washed Lace Up Plimsolls is in ponden 18,95, maar in euro's 31,95. Volgens de Google valuta berekening zou dit maar op ruim 23 euro uitkomen. Er zijn zat winkels die dit niet doen en die zijn naar mijn mening dan ook een beter alternatief. Jammer.

Pretends to have free shipping to European countries outside the UK, but the prices for products in euros are much higher than the prices in British pounds. So, in fact, we are still, though indirectly, charged for shipping. E.g. Joe Browns Men's Washed Lace Up Plimsolls is priced at 18.95, but the price in euros is 31.95. According to the Google currency converter this should only be around 23 euros. I have seen shops that use fair and up-to-date currency exchange rates, and they are, in my experience, better alternatives. Pity.
Had a problem today, that when I sent a product back for a refund I didn't receive my refund. I rang them, they told me to send my proof of postage in an email. Then half an hour later it was all sorted.
I only came to this website to leave a negative review of website which I had a terrible experience with. So thought I'd leave this too, as it seems to be the polar opposite experience.
Im had a bit of a problem with one of the fair play traders and Play were not very helpful , until I emailed them then they started listening but it was a while before they comntacted me , as an apology they offerd me £15.00 voucher but it was too late i wont be shopping there any more
Play.com is a good website but to be honest I would only use it if it was cheaper than amazon and HMV because the delivery takes a bit longer than them. But still a great website. 100 million times better than TheHut anyways! But that's not hard!
I've been using Play since 2002, ordered over 400 items from them and up until Rakuten took them over they had been faultless. They've now removed any sort of communication with customer service and made the whole returns/missing items process amazingly convoluted. I'm currently trying to chase a missing item which was tracked, it was allegedly delivered 2 weeks ago, the only communication I have had from play after 2 weeks and multitudes of contacts is:
"We are sorry for the delay in responding to your email but we have recently moved our contact centre back to the UK and whilst we are currently in a transitional period we are unfortunately taking slightly longer in responding to emails."
It has taken them 2 weeks to send a standard apology email, and they think that's reasonable? Just don't bother Play, you've lost my custom and if you don't give me a proper response soon then I'll be taking you to small claims court.
I usually use Play.com instead of Amazon, or some of the other well known websites. I've put in over 30 orders over the years and never had any complaints whatsoever. Their service is fast, payment is easy and p&p free. Cant ask better than that!
Bought an MP3 player from them as I had purchased DVD's without much problems in the past. MP3 player stopped working after about a month so tried returning it to Play.Com. I went through the help process and couldnt see how to return the item so I wrote to customer services. That was two weeks ago and still no response.
Ok I have lost the cost of the MP3 player but they have lost any further business from me and at every opportunity I will tell people how bad their customer service is.
i had order some items from them, i received 2 of my orders in good condition, i have received 1 wrong item (it has been returned) and one of them has not been delivered at all. Well those unwanted situation can be understandable but customer service is just a rubish. Whenever i talked to them, i just hardly stopped myself not to get angry. Well if you ask me ,would i buy stuff from them again.Yes i would but only if i have to.
I've been using Play.com for longer than I care to remember now and purchased in excess of £10,000 from the site. Time and time again, they get it spot on, even when sometimes the product is broken, their customer service has been faultless. A*
