I happened on this company via Google when looking for curtain pole lengths and recess brackets for our new hallway door curtain. They had exactly what I was after, at a good price, and I have been impressed by the level of customer service, and by the speed of delivery. I would certainly use Poles & Blinds again.
Very good alternative to having custom made curtain rails. I managed to put them up without any nasty surprises. One tip, though... Use a plumbers pipe cutter to cut the poles rather than a hacksaw. Much cleaner and easier!
I just made my first purchase from Poles and Blinds. I am refurbishing a living room (two windows) and wanted to replace old curtains and pelmets with a couple of poles for new eyelet curtains. I browsed through several websites but couldn't find what I really wanted - bright brass pole with simple tab finials. There was lots of choice in "antique brass" finish but only Poles & Blinds had what I needed in bright brass (called "turned brass" in their site). All dimensions were given so I had no trouble selecting the right pole lengths and checking that I had the space for the brackets and finials. (Brackets for eyelet curtains are quite long so that the curtains are not cruched against the wall.) Poles & Blinds' prices were competitive. Usually I am apprehensive about delivery, given the variability in the quality of the service provided by some courier firms. I needn't have worried: the firm used to deliver my order (Tufnells) were fast, smooth and efficient and very helpful in carrying the long package into the house. The "sign for" form had spaces to indicate any damage to the packaging - there was none in this case. The poles came sleeved in plastic, wrapped in cardboard, and packed with a protective wood stiffener inside another, tough outer plastic sleeve. The accessories were in a separate well-padded cardboard box. No scratches or blemishes to be seen. All in all, I'm very pleased with my purchase. Now to fit the poles to the wall and hang the new curtains ...
I was surprised how quickly the 2 poles I had ordered were delivered. they came in 2 days. When I opened the longer pole I found that the piece to join the 2 halves together was missing. I phoned Poles and Blinds, they were more than helpful even though the fault lay with the manufacturer Swish. A replacement part was sent to me and arrive 3 days later. The service was excellent and the poles look great.
I can not fault the service arrived within three days from ordering, as regards to the curtain rod to hang my nets it was rubbish it was not strong enough. I did not send it back as it would probably cost more than the thing cost. Regards Kate Crawshaw
Ordered and received the goods within 72 hours which I think is extremely good. I was emailed every step of the way so I knew exactly what was happening. Thank you I would definitely recommend Poles and Blinds.
The service when ordering was quick and easy. Attention to detail was fab with a phone call to check I hadn't forgotten an integral part. However one part was delivered within a couple of days but had to chase for the rest which came over a week later. I think this was more to do with the shipping company though and not Poles & Blinds. They were very apologetic and chased them for me.
