Do not use not only did they take money from us for equipment tht was out of stock they then started blaming us because the delivered the wrong equipment only for one of the managers to tell us he is to busy for our issue after the company had made many many promises to rectify their error not one came to fruitition. We had to chase ad chase as they returned none of our calls our emails until we threatens trading standards involvement then we got a we are to busy. This company has cost is a lot of money through poor communication and the fact that from admjn to management they could not be bothered. I would urge anyone not to use this company
Was really excited to find good treadmill at good price. Also reviews seemed good so decide to try it but was not a good experience. Firstly although I paid for early delivery they could deliver it to my daughter as a gift without additional information. This can only be done by phone and for working people opening hours of 9-5 does not work. I had to scan additional documents and e-mail and then wait another day for a response. When treadmill finally arrived the stabilising feet were incomplete. One missing and I have left multiple messages and send e-mail but still waiting. Suppose it wont be sorted to poor communication and lack of customer support makes this a poor experience and wished I had stayed with slightly more expensive provider I have used before.
Still waiting for a kettlebell! Money taken, kettlebell no where to be seen! I have not been given a tracking number for delivery even when requested, I now know why! There is not any delivery! Customer service said delivery would be last Friday! Obviously not! Now they do not reply! I now need to find out how to get my money back! Avoid at all cost! This company should be closed down!!!
Looked at some fitness gear from Powerhouse. Attracted firstly by wide choice of equipment available and very competitive prices. Staff were very helpful and knowledgeable.
Would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Ordered the Infinity R99 rower on the 18th Jan, arrived today - 26th. The delivery would've been quicker if my online order had not been mislaid somehow. Glad I phoned to check, they were very helpful and arranged a next day express delivery at no extra cost. The rower arrived in perfect order, took about half an hour to assemble and has now been used - fantastic!
I ordered olympic bar set and adjustable dumbells a couple of weeks ago and they have just arrived. There was about 1 week delay but to their credit Powerhouse said that they would be delivered some time this week and the gear has just arrived (Friday). I was worried after seeing all the negative comments but they have worked for me (maybe I'm lucky) and I didn't have any trouble speaking to the sales team/delivery company. they even delivered in the morning at my request.
Ordered goods just before new year, unfortunately had to cancel the order, turns out that the date due for delivery was made up by the sales assistant, didn't reply to any of my emails, didn't refund the full payment, and totally unhelpful on the phone. I wouldn't recommend these people to anyone, it's a shame.
Ordered over 6 weeks ago now and still have not had my ordered completed. Two items still outstanding
Half the orders listed as in stock at the point of purchase on the website were not, but payment still taken for full order.
Inept customer services - do not respond to emails, duff information given, no ownership - do not try to resolve problems
No notification of when partial order has been despatched - further delays then as you may not be in when delivery company arrives.
Check the small print on their free delivery as in some instances they may only deliver to kerbside - something to bear in mind when ordering weights
What they promise is not what they deliver - goods where fine but shoddy service - AVOID
I have reviewed in the past. I placed my comments as utter disgust with this company and said then that -10 wouldn't be good enough for this bunch of conmen. after 4 months they said that they would give me a full refund after the saga I have had with them. Brilliant I thought, only to now be informed that they cannot refund to a named account as my credit card I previously used was lost and cancelled. What a load of bull. They have been asked for an explanation of their comments and advised that their comments will be sent to the FO as they are actually talking crap. Once again, silence mode. I suppose I will have to contact them again in a week. They have no idea that I will not go away until they give me A FULL REFUND OF MY MONEY. Can't wait to see the result of the newspaper article on them.
I am in utter dismay as to the treatment of customers by this company. I ordered a weights set nearly 7 months ago and I have yet to receive anything. I have lost count of the number of times I have called them and emailed them.
I was promised on 3 separate occasions that I would receive my shipment immediately and they failed to do so.
Even with their Customer Service manager directly involved, nothing has happened. Their last email below to which I told them to send it ASAP and still nothing!!!

I Ordered a new £600 rowing machine that turned out to be faulty. I contacted them the same day by phone and email and TRIED to report the problem and get a replacement - instead they expected ME to make repairs to my BRAND NEW machine.
1. They never return calls, NEVER!
2. They RARELY respond to email.
3. They DON'T LISTEN to your complaint.
4. You WILL have to chase them, CONSTANTLY!
5. They don't communicate with each other. I had to explain my situation to 5 different people, neither had a clue!
6. DON'T expect a refund or replacement if your new product is faulty.
Well I eventually got my replacement after a long wait, which was due to them being out of stock. Emails did improve but I think that was partly because of this bad review. I will increase my score from 1 to 2 stars. I still stand by my comment that communication with these guys is hard work! I appreciate the fact that faulty items are not there fault but the issue I have is that they don't seem to be able manage customers when things go wrong.

Ok it took longer than expected for my power cage to arrive but when it did I was delighted. Powerhouse fitness informed me that there would be a delay due to it being out of stock and the item arrived on the exact delivery date they confirmed. The purchase price was very low compared to other suppliers, the cheapest I could find so this slight delay was well worth it.
I found the customer service staff very friendly and helpful. Item arrived well packaged with clear easy to follow assembly instructions. I have been using the power cage every day and the build quality of the Bodycraft F430 is amazing and a joy to train with.

bought £10,000 worth of weights for my gym in sheffield. within weeks they were breaking. Rude on the phone! treated like dirt. Impossable to get hold of and when you do just fob you off. Reported them to trading standards and awaiting now to take legal action as nothing has been done. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY YOU WILL REGREAT IT!!
I ordered a vibration plate and the information the girl gave me was incorrect. When I realised, I called to cancel the order. They still sent the plate out. I refused the delivery. I have called 3 times to have my credit card refunded and I’m still waiting. Today they guy I spoke to said the refund had been processed but not the full amount. They have charged me £40 for free delivery on an item I would never have ordered if I had known the full spec of that item. Be VERY careful when ordering form this company as what you are told is not always what you will get.
i paid for 2 items on line Bodymax Pro Seated Row Cable Attachment cost £13.49 and Bodymax 36" Pro Revolving Lat Bar Attachment cost 25.50 with P&P came £80.98 yea more then bubble the cost ,That's OK i want it i'll pay , after one week the product came Seated Row Cable the one i had order , The 36" Pro Revolving Lat Bar not the one , when i wrote tell them this is what i got,

I ordered off powerhouse fitness 7 weeks ago. At first they overcharged my card by £300 which was only sorted after kicking up a fuss. Then It took 3 weeks to receive the order with what should have been a 5 day lead time. And the icing on the cake is that I still haven't received the full order. I called them 4 weeks ago when my partial order arrived and they said it would be the next week I received the remaining items, Brazenly lying to people is something I find disgusting, I run my own wholesale company and sometimes things don't go to plan but the customer always respects the fact you're honest with them.
What I find shocking aswell is that the company have blatantly put false reviews of themselves on this review centre. Ask yourself- have you ever posted a good review of a company? No, probably not, because you expect the company to be professional in the first place. A good company is nothing out the ordinary, a set of truth fabricating scammers is!
After placing my order i was told it would be with me in 2 days time (Beginning of may 2011). Didn't arrive. Phoned and got through to someone called [name removed] he promised it would be there after the weekend (may 16th 2011). Phoned again after it did not arrive the second time i was then kindly put on hold by this [name removed] for 20 mins. After countless emails i was then given a delivery tracking number (24th May 2011). This was not for my order and in the email they sent, i was able to see all the private and confidential information of another customer. Finally half the order has arrived, but i am still arguing with them that they have not delivered the rest of the order. I have no idea if i will ever get what i ordered.

Ordered on the phone and took the money straight away! The invoice details were incorrect, many items were not the ones I ordered. I got them corrected after 3 e-mails and a phone call however they never sent me out another corrected invoice.
The told me that I would receive my goods within the next 2 weeks. I thought that this was a very long time to wait however my major concern was that I got the correct order.
The 2 weeks almost past and I checked in with them as to the status of my order. It took a long time(8 e-mails) to get any real direct answers. They told me that the order had been delayed because of the bank holiday?? Order was delayed by a WEEK because of one bank holiday Monday??
I've asked that they deliver it one day earlier because I am gowing away the night before and my grandmother would be the only one there to collect the goods. They off course did not budge.
The company is messy and poorly run. They do not look after customers. It annoyed me that their excuse was the 'Bank Holiday', it wasn't like the weekend was a new creation. They knew the bank holiday was going to happen before I made the order.
- I will let you know if I get all the correct material!
-My advice is not to buy from them and if you do stay on them, keep in touch and always checking in. Otherwise they will just forget about you!!

I purchased and had 4 machines installed by Powerhouse Fitness and I have regreted it ever since. From installation none of the machine were assembled properly therefore never worked properly, I had to complain for over 3 month before they fixed the problem. The Service Dept is useless unprofessional and incompetent as my husband and I complained over 20 times about the machines but service dept never sent engineers to repair the machines! After the engineers assessed the problem they said they would be back never saw them again.
I had to escalate the matter to senior level, but nobody in the organisation is interested in the after sales service which does not exist. This is when you test how good a company is, with excellent after sales customer service but Powerhouse Fitness doesn't have any care for their after sales customers!!!! I went far as speaking to the Operations Manager who ignored my complaint and passed the matter back to the same person in the service dept who I didn't wish to speak to after being so upset with. Operations Manager couldn't arrange a simple operation for collection of the faulty machine, instead of sending 2 men for collection, he sent 1 man who wanted me to help him load the machine on to his lorry!!!!!! No one in this organisation cares about the after sales issues! Worst after care service!

Bought a Weights Bench and 145kg Olympic Weights/Bar. Perfect tansaction, great price and perfect product. Used them for the first time this weekend and felt no different than a real gym.
Highly recommend Powerhouse-Fitness and will be using them again for more product. :)
I ordered two pairs of hex dumbbells from Powerhouse fitness and then saw some of the older negative reviews on this site. I was concerned so emailed them to check on my delivery (I'd arranged for a Saturday delivery). I was emailed back within half an hour confirming delivery for that Saturday. The dumbbells arrived in perfect condition on the expected day and I'm completely happy with them. This is the only order I have placed with Powerhouse Fitness so this is the only experience I have had, but it was a flawless service and I'm now saving for a bench - I'll post on here once I've ordered it in a few months.
Only issue was that the delivery driver left it with my wife (the excercise bike that is) at the top of our 10-12 downwards steps on a pallet in the rain. It had to stay in the rain for 8 hours until I got back from work. this is a 4 star rating on the basis that the delivery company might not have been insured for this, however, it could have ruined the product, I was not asked if I lived in a chalet style house (which I do) or a flat, so I didn't provision to do this. I got home and carried it down the steps, but my wife couldn't do this.

I spoke to Lisa at Powerhouse, advised my budget and requirements for a home gym, she went out of her way to help me out. Astounding service and the equipment I have bought is first class. I will only be using Powerhouse in future and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Superb!
The service I've received from powerhouse-fitness has been fantastic. A part for the squat rack I purchased several months ago had broken whilst under warranty. I emailed about the fault just before 5pm on Tuesday, recieved a reply within 5 minutes and a replacement part arrived 9am on the Thursday. If only claiming under warranty could always be this quick and straightforward.
The advice and service were second to none and the price for the level of equipment was also very good. The treadmill arrived as promised and was very easy to assemble. It is a great machine with superb features and ezactly matched my requirements. Would recommend 100% to anyone and would not hesitate whatsoever in buying from them in the future.

Twice i've ordered from this company, twice i've been very disapointed. First time i ordered, i had to chase them to find out where my stuff was at, they took my money straight away, and i had to phone 7-8 times, putting up with some person hanging up constnatly, and when they actually bother to put the phone to their ears, they hang up again or divert your call to a answer machine without any infomation.
twice now i've ordered from them, thinking the first time was a "one off" and now both times they have taken my moeny straight away, i am unable to speak to anyone as they dont answer the phone, or they hang up on you.
Its been 3 weeks now since i ordered my last products, and i cant speak to anyone to find out where they are. So im down alot of money with nothing to show for it.
Update: finnaly got to speak to someone, and they claimed that the package was sent out, and they'd have to question the delivery driver because they claimed he stole it, as i had "signed" for the goods. another week later, after hearing nothing about 4-5 calls to speak to someone, turns out the stuff was never sent.

They promise to deliver within a week in time for Christmas. Now it's well over 2 months. I have been having to chase them up and have had the phone hung up before I could even say anything. Put through to any but the right department. Unanswered emails/complaints. When I get through or get a response I get told next week each time and given excuse after excuse. I don't know how I remained so polite. I feel as if I have been scammed. Avoid there are better suppliers that can deliver and have better customer service.
I have ordered on Powerhouse fitness and I haven't heard of anything after 7 days yet. They charged the credit card immediately. I'm also facing the same music as one another reviewer put. As you call to them they will divert your cal to some Voicemail system or hang up. I have emailed them three times and no reply yet. I'm going to complain to government agency as well as I'm going to put my request to credit card company if they can block the money.
My strong advice is to AVOID this bogus company.

I placed and order via internet on the 12 jan 2010 never had confirmation, waited 2 weeks and nothing although they had taken my money, tried to call and had phone hung up on me more than 5 times or transfered to voicemail asking that i leave my details and someone would get back to me.They never did. Telephoned the sales line and someone answered straight away as soon as i told them my problem they again hung up. Tried again but this time said i was going to call trading standards as i thought i was being scammed they then had time to talk to me saying they are a reputable firm and they have a store in Harrods and 2 other large stores. When they looked into my order they said that the item was out of stock but i would recieve it on the 2nd Feb 2010, Guess what ...still not arrived and they will not talk to me on the phone. I am going to put a complaint in with trading standards They have taken my money under false pretences and in my book thats stealing!! they are scammer in my book wouldnt surprise me if they are one of those Chinese Scamming firms that are hitting google. Please be cautious when dealing with is company.
