I recently made a purchase of a Samsung American fridge freezer, on PRC directs website. Making the purchase was really easy, and the finance option was incredibly simple as well, and was followed up expertly to the extent that the initial purchase was a pleasure. The item I ordered was a special order item, and Samsung unfortunately let PRC down on delivery dates a couple of times, however PRC kept me informed on a regular basis, which was really good. Finally Samsung managed to deliver the item to PRC and PRC then arranged delivery with me for the next day, and promised that the delivery driver would call an hour or so before delivery so I need not take the day off work. As promised the delivery driver phoned me as he left London which meant that I was home in time to clear out the old fridge that they were taking away and as promised they turned up within minutes of when they said. The delivery driver and his companion were helpful and friendly and went over and above the call of duty to help me get the new fridge inside and located where I needed it. The whole delivery process was a pleasure and resulted in me getting the new item up and running within an hour of delivery which was amazing. The product is fabulous and I would Recommend PRC to anyone wishing to make a purchase of an electrical item as the service was fabulous even when let down by their supplier they did everything they could to keep me informed.
I tried to purchase from two online retailers; both said they had stock but after placing the order at the first retailer the order was, after a couple of days, cancelled due to lack of stock. OK the item I wanted was discontinued so I expected problems, but the PRC website said they had (or could get) stock, and actually sent it to me. And this happened much quicker than the lead time they indicated (so much so I initially thought the first company had shipped after all).
Anyone can do a good job in easy circumstances but PRC did a good job in difficult ones, and that gets them 5 stars in my book.
(Oh, and did I mention they were cheap too?)
I ordered a Yamaha YHTS401 soundbar from PRC Direct after being let down by another supplier. I ordered the item before a Good Friday bank holiday weekend not expecting delivery until the following week. I was more than pleased when the item turned up on Thursday giving me the chance to setup and show off the soundbar to family.
Really simple order process including being able to use Paypal. Follow up phone call from PRC to check the details and confirm delivery. On the day of delivery, driver called 1 hour before (as promised) and couldn't have been more helpful, pleasant and polite. Despite the size and weight of the fridge/freezer, it was brought into the house and positioned exactly where I wanted. I cannot recommend PRC enough, from the order process to delivery, the whole experience was fantastic. I would recommend using them to anyone and will certainly use them again myself.
The site doesn't really work unless you accept the cookies. It kept taking me through the same part of the order process time after time. I had originally not accepted the cookies, as I only expected to use them once, but once I had accepted it, it seemed OK. Requires you to sign up to an account as well, something I am not a fan of. But had the cheapest price, so stuck with it!
If I could leave zero stars I certainly would.
I ordered a case for my Sony camera & realised after a week or so it hadnt arrived.
So I rang them and got told "it was posted days ago you should have received it by now.I was then told I would get a call back from some one at PRC DIRECT to rectify and notify me of the delay.Shortly afterwards I was contacted by one of their staff who told me they had NOT posted it and had been trying to locate it in their warehouse with out success and offered me a full refund.
My issue is this,why advertise stock which you havent actually got? Seriously apalling customer service too,where do they employ these people from???
I wont be using them again.They have certainly lost a valuable customer.
I also purchased some sony batteries for this camcorder too from them and upon inserting them in my camcorder my camcorder started giving me error messages stating that this battery cannot be used in this camcorder and then gave me an error message,stating a code which i looked up in my user manual and it states that these batteries are not genuine.,the batteries contained no warranty information, and the packaging was not up to sonys usual standard..
They even offered to come to my house and pick up the batteries from me and offer me a refund.....hmmm....I wonder why??? Was it because I said I will be contacting SONY about PRC DIRECT selling me what my camcorder is telling me are not genuine infolithium batteries, or was it because I said I will be contacting my local trading standards about their practices ??? I will let you decide,save to say They will be hearing from them both soon.
And last but not least......wait for it......they say bad things come in 3's and they certainly did in this case.......
They sold me a samsung 51 inch plasma tv which they stated as BRAND NEW and would be delivered to me in 7 days.
On the delivery day I rang them to confirm delivery and I remember asking the member of staff on the phone, is this item brand new,ex display or a customer return?to which the member of staff at PRC direct said to me in no uncertain terms NO SIR IT IS NOT EX DISPLAY OR REFURBISHED IT IS BRAND NEW,WE WOULD NEVER SHIP OUT SOMETHING WHICH HAS BEEN USED BEFORE.
When the tv arrived and being technically minded that I am, I unboxed the tv ,and went to check the menu where there is a small section which tells you how many hours this particular tv has been used for and guess what number of hours it showed that this tv had been used for before i got this supposedly BRAND NEW TV?...................968!!!!!!!!?????? 968 hours????? that if you calculate it means that this tv would have had to have been on for 24 hours a day for at least 40 days NON STOP!!!!! truly shocking I know,I phoned them up regarding this and they offered me a silly excuse the first day that it was meant for some one else,the second time I rang it was the excuse of oh it was a ex display model,and the third day they when I spoke to them all they did was apologise and offer me a measly sum of compensation for my troubles,I mean come on,I made three purchases one which they lied about posting,second one they sold me what my camcorder is telling me are not genuine infolithium batteries and the third item was used,even after me asking them and they re-assured me the tv was brand new,excuse after excuse I heard from them,its appalling and disgusting the way they have treated me.,I will contact Sony about the batteries AND my local trading standards who Im sure will be interested to hear from me, as well as watchdog.All in all can a person really trust such people who call them selves a business? they have shown me how underhand the tactics they are willing to deploy in order to make a sale, And on a last note out of the 6 or so staff members I spoke to at PRC DIRECT only ONE seemed to have some manners ,besides that If I was in charge,Id fire the lot of them. I will be now taking my business elsewhere and will warn all people I know,about this company and how they operate.
The company gave me a partial refund for my troubles which I was happy with,but I cant help but think this was not because of the service and the quality of goods I didn't receive,but more so, so that I remove the reviews of this company from various places on the internet,Which they constantly E-mailed me to do.I guess the reviews did not paint a pretty picture of this firm.
It would not surprise me to see the company complain to this site in a attempt to have my review removed as they have done many times before as it doesnt go in their favour,but if you want a glowing review then this should be reflected in your approach to your customers
1 man delivery team, unit was dropped, driver struggled, causing broken door.However I was given a refund of the delivery fee I paid by gesture of goodwill. PRC advised new door via LG but ref number didnt exist and PRC reluctant to chase. Contacted LG directly who advised not to accept replacement door as this invalidates 28 day return initial warranty. So arranged for collection and refund - again 1 man collection team who couldnt load it without assistance - I was asked to help push a fridge freezer up onto the van from the tail lift whilst my baby was in the house, which I couldnt do. I had to call on people to help and get my neighbours over ! This is a health and safety issue re load lifting. A poor experience and I wouldnt use again as customer service is not good.
I ordered a Samsung smart TV on line. I received a phone call the following day confirming the order and telling me delivery would be in 3 - 5 days. I then made sure someone was always at home, but heard absolutely nothing until I phoned on the fourth day to ask if they could give me any indication of when the delivery would take place. I was told that it was being dispatched that day and I would receive it the following day.
I think it would not be difficult for them to inform me by e-mail of dispatch instead of leaving me completely in the dark. Otherwise I have no complaints as the TV was delivered as stated and at a very fair price. Good service marred only by lack of communication.
Received order confirmation only to be told 2 days later that it was a special order and Siemens were out of stock at warehouse and couldn't confirm when stock would be received. Two weeks later and having confirmed directly with Siemens that they have received the item in stock that day. On phoning PRC Direct I was advised that they will not be ordering the item and have cancelled my order. On asking whether I should have been advised of the cancellation of my order I was given no answer. There was no explanation or apology from the company, even when I said "not a great experience". If you want cheap and don't mind poor service then go ahead!

I own my own Website business and PRC are definitely a service to follow,from a simple call on an error on my order processing (my Fault) great advice and the Bose Soundlink arrived next day.
Will use again !!
I ordered this item and it was delivered the next day in mint condition, have no hestitation in recommending PRC direct.
I bought a TV from PRC on 11th December 2012 as a Christmas present for my son.
The price was competitive, because PRC appeared on the [Link] merchants list offering 3.03% cashback, which amounted to £24.51.
The cashback appeared on my [Link] account when I made the purchase from PRC. Then in January the cashback "dissapeared" from my [Link] account - reason cancelled by the merchant (PRC).
Having submitted a missing cashback claim, with no update I phoned PRC on March 12th to see if they could help. The customer service man I spoke to at PRC told me that [Link] are nothing to do with PRC direct and PRC do not give any money to [Link] - they are just another internet website, and that if there was any cashback offered it would have been offered on the PRC direct website. He advised I take the matter up with [Link], which I did.
[Link] e-mailed me with an update, saying that PRC have declined the cashback offer, because the order was "cancelled or the item (TV) was returned."
Neither is true, the TV is still working OK, I have my receipt, but I am now extremely concerned that PRC might also refuse to honour my guarantee should the TV develop a fault.
Lowest price I could find on the web so I decided to try a company I had not encountered before. As I say, I initially had an issue with some of the customer service, however when I spoke to 'Carl', he was extremely polite and friendly. It's a shame the initial customer service wasn't as good as the latter, however I now feel extremely positive about my order and I will definitely shop using PRC again.
So we decided to buy a new Samsung 43 inch 3D TV, we went shopping and decided on the model we wanted and went home to research prices. PRC Direct's price was good, easy to order and pay, and having ordered late on a Sunday evening, was delighted with delivery the following Wednesday and no delivery charge either. Thursday evening we decided to put our new TV on the wall, unpacked it and started to get everything ready to put it up when we noticed a significant dent in the rear casing of the TV. It was late so I telephone customer services the following day. I spoke to <private data removed>. I said that the TV was fine, no obvious signs of issues with the picture or 3D just the dent in the TV, he asked for photos which were taken and sent across. I suggested that I would be happy for a small refund to cover this damage rather than return the TV. He offered a miserly £20. He told me that if you order online you got to expect this sort of thing. I reminded him I'd paid a fair price for a brand new TV not a damaged one. Anyway he refused any other kind of offer and was particularly unhelpful, kept reminding me that this sort of thing has to be expected when you order online. So given his uncooperative nature and unwillingness to help, I suggested he arrange for his TV to be collected and refund my money. I had to wait in the entire following day for the TV to be collected which was collected at 4.45pm, I temp so this was a complete loss of pay for a day for me. Totally unnecessary seeing as I was only asking for a £50 refund to keep the damaged item. Then I had to wait a further 3 days for them to confirm the refund was processed and a further 5 days for the refund to hit my account. So then it gets real interesting, the following day from posting my original review on here I get a phone call from another person in customer services expressing their concern at my review and asking what happened, I explained. He said as a gesture of goodwill he would send a gold HDMI cable and some high street vouchers that day for delivery the following day by courier, all at no cost to me, PROVIDED I removed my review. I agreed to this, so I removed my review and awaited the package, no package arrived, he'd provided his details so I called him, he gave me a tracking number which said it was ready for delivery that day that was over 2 weeks ago, still no package!! Unbelievable.. so here I am writing my review again, use this company at your peril, if all goes well, then you'll be happy, if not, good luck with their customer service - its non existent.
We searched the web for the best price on a tv. PRC Direct were the cheapest, by far. I have reservations regarding on-line ordering, but the price was so good, we took the risk.
A customer service guy from PRC Direct called me after 48 hours to arrange delivery and everything went to plan.
Really cannot fault PRC Direct and would recommend!
I really can't knock the sevice I've recieved, I ordered the TV and sound bar and had no problems at all, confirmed the delivery date 2 days after ordering and 2 days later my order came and the delivery time was really flexible, also the price was really keen as well
I was a liitle worried about buying my Bose Sounddock Portable anywhere other than the usual online or High Street favourites but I'm glad I took a punt on PRC direct. The price was the best around and the service was faultless. I would definitely buy again from PRC direct and would highly recommend them to others.
i did not like their customer service (if you call this customer service)only one person there and you need to wait for him to answer you.they charge delivery for faulty item.pay bit more and get decent service

The items i bought are nice and the price was quite good however I had to call the company about delivery times and was spoken to very badly and rudely by a manager who said his name was<private data remove>. This has put me and my friends off using PRC Direct again.
Goods - a freezer - arrived on time as promised. I can't believe how they can chop off £80 from the High Street / Retail Park price of £200 and make a profit.
Especially as the item was delivered from Ilford to Burton-on-Trent in a box van.
Ordering simple. Price good.
Phoned re delivery date - very helpful. Would be delivered Saturday pm, but warned the driver may be a bit late. He would phone me 1hr before delivery.
Delivery phone message 8-15 pm. Arrived 8-45pm. Very pleasant helpful driver.
Reminded me to remove the transit bolts for the washing machine.
(Apparently one driver was off due to a bereavement and our driver was doing it all - but insisted on making sure we got it on the promised day.)
Nobody contacted me within the first 48 hours as promised. I had to call to arrange delivery myself and the person I spoke to seemed to want me off the phone as soon as possible. I called on the morning of delivery (had taken day off work) as they had not sent any confirmation and was angered to be told it wouldn't be that day. They made up a story about the driver's father dying - which was an obvious lie. I rearranged delivery for that weekend but overall service was just not good enough. I was also then left to call them the evening before to confirm that the delivery was still going ahead as rearranged. On the morning of delivery the driver needed instructing and directions to get here! All in all, it's been a troublesome transaction & I won't be using them again.
Placed order on Saturday, by late Tuesday not heard from them. I called to chase up delivery date, then called another two times to get a delivery date.
Otherwise delivered when agreed and price £50.00 than the rest.
I and the weather messed them about a bit, but they still delivered the goods when they said. I was a bit surprised to have a TV delivery by a van from London (I live 100miles away) at 7pm on a Friday night, but a delivery is a delivery !
I placed an order on friday by the follwing friday noone had been in touch regarding delivery, so i called them, they could fit me in the following tuesday which was a full 7 working days in which delivery should take place, it was an all day slot. He kept telling me the 7 days didnt include weekends i kept telling him i hadnt included them. Late morning on the tues i received a call saying bad news theres been a family problem for the driver so no delivery, we can deliver next week, so that was taking me into week 3 when i was paying £19.95 for a delivery, i said no good, ok we can do friday i said fine but it will have to be the morning as im busy, they said no its an all day slot, i said look u have messed me about enough if u cant do the morning cancel my order, he kept going away to talk to someone, coming back an saying the same flaming thing, eventually he said as a good will gesture we will deliver all day slot friday but give u £10 off delivery, what part of im busy in the afternoon do they not get. In the end i cancelled my order, but now have to wait upto 7 days for my refund grrrrrrrr. I called someone else who price matched and delivered within 2 days.

I bought a Samsung TV from PRC Direct at a much lower cost than the major national electrical supplier in our area. PRC Direct supplied the TV at a very good price and the courtesy call and email communication was excellent. The delivery was arranged very quickly and efficiently. I will definately consider buying from PRC in the future.
My product was delivered on time although on removing the packaging I noticed some slight damage to the appliance. Informed PRC Direct who dealt with the matter promptly and satisfactorily. Very happy with service and they had the best price of my particular appliance.
First class 5***** service I purchased a large freezer and my path to my house is long and up hill. Wow the delivery driver was so helpfull an made it all so easy , what a great service . PRC will be the first place i look for my next items .
Already knew which TV I wanted (Samsung UE40EH5000) PRC Direct came up with the best price. There was all the tech information if you needed it. The website was easy to use and paying was straight forward. I received good e-mail communication keeping me informed of the order. I ordered the TV on free delivery, on the Wednesday night, so did not expect delivery until earliest following Tuesday, but fantastically it arrived on Friday morning.
All round great service. The TV is great and I'm really pleased with that too, never had a Samsung before, always had Sony.

I ordered the EH5000on sat 9/2/13 and receive it at 9am on the 12th.Setting up and assembly was easy as long as you fit the backplate of the stand correctly, ie make sure that it fits flat and not sloping or it would make the tv face upwards. Very good picture on standard setting and even better in HD. Overall it was a very good service and product. Definately worth 5 stars.
