Hotel is not bad, the staff are very friendly. The only let down is the Weavers Inn bar/restaurant if you are taking kids be aware you cant sit in the bar or outside after 8pm with them, you must sit in the restaurant. Don't forget to bring a torch as the lighting is more akin to being in a dark night club. On the food side the breakfast on Sunday was greasy and cold. Sunday night I could not order dinner as it was too dark in the restaurant to read the menu. Those that were eating were all close to the windows.
When we arrived it was hot outside and tropical inside. Our corridor was opened up and dusty. The room had not been cleaned well for some time, but the manageress offered to clean it herself. She did a really good job and offered us complimentary breakfast. So, all seemed good. However, the two fans on full blast in our room simply moved hot air around as the windows don't open more than a crack, probably for fear that people will jump out to escape the heat. The noise of the fans and dawn leavers in the car park meant that we all had little sleep. The next night, same thing, but this time late arrivals at midnight in the room above woke us. We all know how difficult it is to go back to sleep if you've already had an hour or so and it's hot and it's noisy from the fans - so, another poor night. Were we reminded of the good night's sleep promise when we left? No. To be honest, we were all too exhausted to complain (again!).
Unfortunately, my youngest daughter left her precious teddy bear in the room. Between us leaving and ringing later to find out if it had been handed in, the bear had completely disappeared. I've called several times to check, but no, he's gone. So, tired and distraught daughter meant another poor night;s sleep, but this time at home!
We are so happy to have found the Premier Inn! It certainly made travelling with children so much easier, breaking up a long journey and having to get up early to catch a killer early flight! Just a short walk to the terminal, no worries about taxis showing up and such. Right at your doorstep! We definitely will choose this hotel again and next time, we will try to stay even longer so we can experience the hotel restaurant etc.
I arrived and was greeted by the very friendly receptionist who explained all the hotels facilities including their premier breakfast, Wi-Fi at £3 for 24 hours for up to 3 devices and she also made a big point of explaining their Premier Inn 'Good Night Guarantee'.
I went to the room which was clean, tidy and a reasonable size and started to use the WiFi but it wouldn't work properly and when I went to connect my phone, it said I had too many devices connected. I reported this to reception and the hotel got someone from their IT helpline to contact me but unfortunately they still couldn't get it to work and they thought it was a fault with the hotel's local system.
I went out to eat and came back to my room to sleep but I was awoken at approx 4:45 am by a door repeatedly opening and closing near my room, I think, this was either the fire door or the lift and did not get back to sleep for the rest of the night.
I went for breakfast and again was greeted by a very helpful server who took my breakfast order. The breakfast was good except for the poached eggs which were 'hard boiled' and the hash brown which was soggy and inedible and I did not eat either. The same server asked me how the breakfast was and I mentioned the eggs and hash brown, she apologised and immediately offered replacements for both but by this time I was in a quite a hurry to check out as I had an appointment, so had to decline.
On check out, the receptionist asked me how my stay was. I mentioned the Wi-Fi problems and she refunded the £3. Then I mentioned being woken up in the middle of the night by a door opening and closing close to my room and she said she would ask someone to 'have a look at the door'!!
I asked about their 'Good Night Guarantee'. she said she would make look into it but did not offer anything. (Incidentally, the receptionist was the same one who checked me in the day before who had made a big point of explaining their Premier Inn 'Good Night Guarantee'). I asked her if someone could get back to me about the issue and she said OK, but no one has responded.
In summary, the hotel has a good central location and the staff seem very well trained to communicate the features and benefits of the Premier Inn package but not how to deal with any major issues if they arise.
We have just had a three night stay at the premier inn at Gosforth/Cramlington. It certainly lived up to expectations and was as expected from previous experience.
The only thing that spoiled it for us was the super sized roundabout that had to be negotiated on the approach to the Hotel. Once there the accommodation is very good and the food is excellent.
Its this simple... If you want a CAST IRON guarantee of comfort, quality, and peace of mind - Rely on Premier Inn. Used them for Business and because of that I now use them for personal nights away. That's says something.... as I am choosy and reluctantly use ANY hotel.
We stay at Premier Inn when ever we go away and cant recomend them enough for value and comfort. Their breakfasts are amazing and really set you up for the day, everything you need is at hand and a nice relaxing place to eat and drink. Well worth a visit if you have never stayed at a Premier once you have you will again.
The Premier Inn at Camberly is unfortunate to not have any parking as it is a very comfortable reasonably priced hotel with very friendly helpful staff. There is nowhere to unload your luggage so beware if you are unable to carry it from the local shopping centre car park or take your chance with the traffic wardens on patrol. Also the reception is on the first floor.
The hotel was easy to find and would be ideal for anyone arriving by train although there was also ample free car parking. There was not as much noise from other rooms as we have experienced in other budget hotels which was good. The bed was comfortable but a bit short and there were hard and soft pillows. The room was very clean but the general areas were shabby. The worst part was that the smoking area was right outside the entrance so we had to run the gauntlet of smokers to get in/out - not what you want in your best clothes. There is a nice little seating area by the river but this too was colonised by smokers so not pleasant for non-smokers. There is also a little garden just for residents that we liked. The staff seemed keen that we did not use the restaurant for dinner or breakfast which was odd. Presumably they get overly busy. There is a Tesco Express near by so we got supplies from there instead. Although there are a lot of night clubs in the area it was well policed so we felt safe.
The hotel room was as expected, the Liberty Bell restaurant was not what we expected, difficult to get a drink, tried to book a table for 2, were given a pager but it was never called, when challenged the duty manager advised that they were fully booked and nothing to do with the hotel ! if you don't mind queuing 3 deep at the bar in a really noisy environment and then being told that there are no tables available is your idea of a night at the Premier Inn then this is the 1 for you, if after a long journey you would like a drink and something to eat, don't book this 1.
Two different Premier Inn's in one week, first at Luton Airport on the way back from Turkey, then in Lancaster on the night before the Great North Swim. Really comfy and you can't beat the value of the all you can eat breakfast. Really recommend them to anyone.
We all love them so much, even our 5 year old Tia gets excited when she finds out we are staying at a Prem...
A one night stop over for my parents really was a lovely experience, helped by a lovely summer night sitting out looking over the huddersfield canal and its barges.great setting supported by such friendly and helpful staff. PI is always good value for money, it was made all the more pleasant by the great setting and staff
I feel like I'm staying at a familiar relatives house, where I can feel comfortable, relaxed and safe & get a great nights sleep! So I simply look for a premier inn where I know what I'll be getting and happy with my choice.
I was very impressed with my first Premier Inn experience; the hotel was in a very lovely area; there was a lot of interesting places to visit in the vicinity and a good choice of restaurants. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Couldn't have wished for more, especially at that price; very reasonable and a great breakfast to boot! Wouldn't hesitate to go back to a Premier Inn.
Albert Dock Liverpool Premire Inn is the best hotel ever it clean and comforable fantastic view over the dock and the river Mersey from the rooms we have stayed in, have stayed many times at this hotel, always and a lovely room. Highly recomend anyone staying in Liverpool stay here brilliant value for money.
I would recommend the premier inn at edinburgh park to any1 the staff were fantastic the friendliest staff I have ever met in a hotel and the food was great esp breakfast with a hangover well worth the money the rooms were great clean and comfortable will def go back
Stayed on a night out in Manchester. Hotel was lovely and clean and staff very helpful. Was a bit unsure on paying over £8 for breakfast as have had rubbish breakfasts in other hotels but I was really pleasantly surprised as it was all very nice, you could eat as much as you wanted and they made poached eggs to order. So it was very good value. Would definitely stay again.
A really good place to stay, easy to find, staff very good and restaurant good value for money, ideal for a few nights or longer if you want. I lived in one for two weeks. Great vfm
all members of staff, especially the young gentleman on reception at check in, were more than happy to help with any questions, and to ensure that all our needs were met. Unfortunately, the food, which is served on a warm plate, is in fact cold
It was fantastic the inn was wonderful we slept in the bed and honestly we didn't
Wake up once. The staff were all well mannered and on the ball . It was a great night
And breakfast , we will book more nights when we go again If fthe one in York is half as good we will be going to Yorkshire next. Competition will be very strong.
We could not fault the whole thing ,as we were going to a wedding the following day this stay set the stage for us.
Booked the Premier Inn for 43 of my friends to stay overnight. Booking was a nightmare, wanted the meal deal but could not book that at the same time as the rooms. The hotel number did not work so had to call another department who messed up my booking and i had to call back a further 3 times to sort it out. When finally i was able to sort out the meal deal the hotel was supposed to email me with a menu, another 3 calls and an email later and i finally received it. Several emails back and forth ensued, mainly because the hotel expected me to give them information they never asked me for. I am not a hotel agent so i only gave the information they wanted when they asked. To pay for everything it had to be done via a fax on headed paper. Who uses a fax machine nowadays? But it could only be paid that way and not over the phone or anything which i thought was so wrong. Finally, because we took a coach there, no one told us there was no where for the coach to park, there is a car park but has limited headroom, so no coaches could enter. The hotel staff did manage to allow us to park the coach nearby though.
Finally one of my couples had a shower that did not work so reception said they would refund myself the cost of the room and email me about it. So far i have not heard or received anything.
After all the aggravation associated with this particular Premier Inn in Richmond, all my friends absolutely loved the place. The rooms were spotless, food excellent and the staff catered well for the amount of people all entering the restaurant at the same time. The price of the meal deal and what was involved is definitely worth considering if staying there and will use that facility again. Although it is situated on a main road, the traffic could hardly be heard so a good nights sleep was definitely not disturbed.
2/10 for booking it but 10/10 for the stay and 10/10 for the price.
We Booked with premier inn and paid extra to be able to cancel before 1 pm the first night everything was good - finished our job earlier than expected - returned to the hotel at 12.20 to collect belongings and cancel the second nights stay to be told they needed to check with a manager who was in a meeting all afternoon.
After spending a lovely time at our granddaughter's third birthday party we then proceeded to Harrogate Premier Inn which happened to be just down the road from our son's home - which was a definite plus! We had pre-booked a meal deal for the five of us and we very glad of it after a long day. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent and after a very good nights sleep we made our long journey back to Cumbria after spending a very enjoyable week-end in Harrogate.

Would recommend this Premier Inn when staying in the area. Always clean and well maintained with friendly and helpful staff. I particularly like that they e mail you just before your arrival date, confirming your details and asking if you have any special requirements. My personal experience is that they have always been able to fulfill any special requests.
