Right Price, Right Time and Great Customer Service

(This review if for the purchase of a phone, not the after sales service)

First of all like lots of web users I checked in many places and did try to get one of the big players to price match the PrePayMania with no success.

However after talking with "Sophie" a customer service rep through live chat I was put at ease about delivery, if something goes wrong with the phone, even if PrePayMania were to close (as its an online business).

Anyway I ordered on the bank holiday monday (a blackberry 9360 £30 cheaper than anywhere else), had the FREE delivery and expected it to arrive by friday. SO it was a great surprise when it arrived on thursday and throughout the delivery i was ale to track the parcel.

The phone was packaged well and seems to be working fine!

Thanks for reading - i know i took the time to read others and i'll repot back in 6 - 12 months.

Prepaymania has offered great discounts

We don’t tend to buy gadgets often. Due to my income, I would prefer to be safe than sorry. I did however purchase Nokia 100 as I had heard that PrePayMania were a reputable and trustworthy site. They offer a variety of products and great savings. After placing my order I received email confirmation, advising me of the delivery schedule and full details of my purchase. As promised, they delivered me the Nokia 100 well on time. The condition of the Nokia 100 was as stated and as displayed in the online image. Great service and highly recommended!

Blackberry phone never arrived & sent first class with no insurance as standard delivery

DO NOT Purchase via their website or Ebay from this company. I ordered a blackberry for my girl friend over 2 months ago & had to message on numerous occasions regarding the item which was never delivered. They post items 1st class as standard delivery which you do not receive. After a serious complaint they told me they would resend another Blackberry via recorded delivery & this never arrived either. The tracking number was invalid & never worked. Reported to Paypal & turns out because they have "proof" that they posted the item (probably a dodgy receipt scanned in and emailed to Paypal) they managed to get away with it. DO NOT USE ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!

Extraordinarily outstanding service!!!

I purchased a big button Foneranger mobile phone from this company in July 2012 through Amazon and received it within a couple of days.
From the outset I had problems charging the phone, it didn't seem to be holding the charge for very long and would switch off suddenly - even when connected to the charger the phone would not switch back on immediately and it took a long time to charge enough for any service.

YES THIS IS A POSITIVE REVIEW......
After struggling and putting it down to my lack of ability I contacted Prepaymania via their website where they have the facility to 'chat' to someone on their sales team. I explained my problem and was immediately offered a new battery by return of post to see if this would resolve the problem, if it didn't I was to get back in touch with them. My battery arrived the next day and I am glad to say that my phone is in better health than it has ever been!
I cannot recommend this company enough for their kindness, understanding and prompt action.

Awful, watch out

I bought a hands free kit from them, but they constantly say it's being dispatched, but nothing ever happens been waiting 4 days for my order to be dispatched now, yet they guarantee same day until 3:30pm.

Glad I took the risk.

After reading all the bad reviews I still decided to take a chance. The way I looked at it was, the phone I wanted was £12.50 from Prepaymania, and up to £35 else where... so I either gambled £12.50 or definitely lost £22.50 by buying else where.. no choice, I paid using my old friend PayPal, I couldn't loose.
I needn't have worried, Prepaymania were perfect, this cheap little phone arrived with the £10, O2 card, two days after ordering it, total outlay £25.

Im glad I took the gamble

Wow, I read some really bad reviews on here and to tell you the truth I didn't really see the point in taking a risk buying from them with the negative things that have been written. However they were selling the Nokia 100 on O2 cheaper than anyone else I could fine and at £14.99 including £10 top up, I though I couldn't really lose that much...well I could lose £14.99 I guess. Anyway to cut a long story short I had nothing to worry about turned up today Via Royal Mail. Top up already applied to the Sim which is great considering I bought something like this before and forgot to register for the top up so did myself out of a tenner. Not the case here though. Ordered Friday, delivered Monday. I can't ask for more.

The best I found for my mum

I ordered PrePayMania Big button phone for my elderly mum who couldn`t handle the modern fiddly phone with lots of features. This phone does exactly what it says. It has big buttons, very easy to use. The display fonts are very clear and readable. Torch, SOS, loud ringtones so many necessary features at this price is really a bargain. This is a straightforward handy phone, the best for my mum.

Rubbish

after reading all reveiws i still decided to buy a samsung galaxy w from there ebay store. I called to check they had the stock in and they seemed very helpful and told me my order would be dispatched that day (friday) so monday came around and i was very excited about getting my new phone, i called the company just to check on my order to find that they hadnt dispatched it yet , but they were defanatly dispaching it today (monday) and i would recieve it Tuesday, so again very excited ive sat most of the day waiting, Having a bad feeling about this company i decided to call and check, to find out they havent dispatched the phone and now they r saying that there is a problem with the stock and they r opening all the boxes of phones to check them, they dont know when they will have another delivery or when they can send me a phone (sounds pretty dodgy to me, Opening all the phones, thought they had to be sealed when u recieved them.) I had no communication to tell me of the problems, surely good customer service would have been to tell me on friday when they didnt dispach the phone when they said they would.

Only good thing was they gave me a full refund after i cancelled my order with in 10 mins.

I thought I had purchased a Xoom Case-mate cover for my beloved Xoom - as stated on the website front page "all orders in stock will be shipped same day" - NOT TRUE.

After waiting about a week for my order, I decided I would have to contact prepaymania and find out when my order was shipped. To my dismay I was told it would not be shipped for over 10 working days. Apparently even though the website states my product was in stock -and still does - and there website states same day shipping - they can still take my money and then order the product from someone else and falsely state the product is in stock - when it obviously is not.

Do not buy from this company - I canceled my order and purchased one in stock from another company (Morpeth Mobiles) who shipped it that afternoon, kept me informed through the order process and then I received my xoom cover via the postman the following morning - a good example of how a company should operate today.

Accused of removing IMEI sticker - invalodated the warranty.

I returned a "NEW" Samsung C3050 phone that had hardly been used, 3 months after purchase that just completeky died.
I had the phone returned saying they cannot help becasuse the warranty had been invalidated by ME removing the IMEI sticker from inside the phone. I certainly did not but who knows whether it was there when the phone was supplied new.
Having read other reviews of this supplier, I am asking for a full refund - will wait and see what happens.

Very Poor Company Avoid

Complete nightmare of a company. i ordered a htc sensation i checked out with my prepaid mastercard. i got the payment declined because your card doesnt support 3d secure. well i thought no problem. when i checked my card acount they had taken the cost of the phone 389.95 when i called and asked why that happened they said it was nothing to do with them as it was mastercard and to call them. i am now fighting to get my money back as there totally stupid when you call. please avoid this company

BEWARE Prepaymania are a terrible company to deal with when things go wrong. 7 day returns policy, my phone went faulty after 19 days they didn't want to know. Forced to return and wait 6 weeks for repair. When phone came back it was still faulty, sent back 2 weeks ago and still waiting. Customer service are rude constant hang ups, PLEASE DO NOT BUY PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THESE PEOPLE

Terrible

I bought a pay as you go Orange Blackberry (curve 8520) from prepaymania and after just 4 months the screen began to fade, coupled with numerous vertical lines across it. I contacted prepaymania via e-mail (you cannot call then and speak to someone, there is no number listed), and after a day waiting for a response they told me to take it to carphone wharehouse! The bloke in carphone warehouse said as it was Orange, they couldnt touch it, and the guy in the Orange shop didnt want to know either and gave me a number for Orange customer support . . . . . .Round and round I went. Orange customer support told me to conact the people I bought it from (Prepaymania.co.uk), which I could only do through e-mail. . . . .. As a customer, my contract is with prepaymania and they should be responsible for the return / warranty. In short - avoid this shop, they sell it cheap, but don't care if it goes wrong.

Superb

I was really surprised to find a holder for my BB Curve 8520 at only £2.75. It was suspicious a bit at start, but I searched for the reviews of PrePayMania and trustpilot helped me to get some good reviews about them. This is the reason I am sharing my experience on Trustpilot with PrePayMania only after I received my holder. I received my holder on the very 2nd day and it was as showcased on the website. My BB curve perfectly fits to the holder; it is a flexible holder and can fit many handsets. It also helps my wife to fit her wildfire on the same holder; she is happy for the first time with my choice :). Superb product quality with the best pricing and delivered much on time.

Brilliant

I've bought 2 handsets from prepaymania. The 2nd more recent handset developed a fault within the first week, it turned out to be a comman fault with that model was advised to return for a refund as they had no more stock, refund was received in 4 days. No problems at all & very friendly helpful staff.

superb product quality at lowest price

recently i bought it's own brand called prepaymania in car charger for my htc wildfire. i am very happy with the product performance and it's pricing. I got that only at £2.50 which is very low as compare to other merchants. really i love prepaymania products. I will order more when require.

Quick and flawless bargain.

Having had my old T-Mobile dongle stolen (or perhaps, just borrowed indefinitely by a client), I had managed to get T-Mobile to send me a new SIM chip, but was told I would need to visit a store to purchase another dongle; to save some bother, I bought a replacement through prepaymania.com (actually a better model with a T-Mobile pre-pay SIM included). The price was right and my new dongle was delivered the very next morning. The dongle works perfectly with my Web'n'Walk SIM (as expected) and I have no complaints at all - in fact, I am very pleased, and was surprised by the speedy delivery. I would consider using them again.

I suspect the overwhelmingly negative reviews here result from the fact that those with no complaints are less likely to post a review in the first place - satisfaction tends to be less vociferous than dissatisfaction.

Avoid At All Costs

I ordered a Samsung phone using Amazon and thought, as with every other Amazon purchase I have made over the years, that all would be well - how naïve. The first phone I received had a faulty mains charger/battery. Prepaymania promised to replace the phone and sent a pre-paid envelope in which I returned the faulty handset. A full two weeks elapsed in which there was no communication from Prepaymania. Finally I sent an email enquiring about the replacement and received another handset the following day. The security seal on the box was broken and the instructions are quite clear – “DO NOT ACCEPT IF SEAL IS BROKEN”. I emailed Prepaymania and made it clear that I was incensed by their total disregard for the customer – to which I received this response.

Quote: “The item is brand new but to ensure we get the best prices on the market we sometimes buy our products from Europe. This means however that we have to change the Plug to a UK variant for our customer.”

I urge you avoid Prepaymania at all costs. I consider myself fortunate insofar as I have not bought from them directly and reckon I have a degree of protection with Amazon. Why Amazon wishes to have anything to do with this shady lot is beyond me as this experience has tarnished the Amazon brand image and taught me a valuable lesson.

Always check the credentials of the Amazon seller before committing to a purchase.

Wish I had checked first!

I ordered a GENUINE charger for a HTC Wildfire from Amazon, and Prepaymania is a 'supplyer/seller' for Amazon.

The charger just arrived in a torn brown envelope and is clearly NOT a genuine product.I have tried to contact them but their phone is engaged.

Lets see if they reply to my e-mail.

I wish I had read what other customers have said, as I think that I am going to receive the same service!

terrible Letdown

I ordered a phone LG optimus, it said 100+ in stock, i paid extra for express 24Hr delivery, its been 14 days now, no answer to my 4 emails, i can only get a recorded message when i phone, god help me trying to get my money back, i feel very dissapointed

Poor customer service

When phone arrived it developed a fault after a day so from finally getting in contact with prepay mania ( they have no contact tel No ) via email it took nearly 2 weeks to get a refund back into my bank !
I would not recommend buying anything from these people as do the words "chocolate oven" come to mind?
Carephone warehouse wins hands down anyday but prepay maniac or mania then forget it as useless....

Abysmal!

I was in a rush and I ordered a htc wildfire from prepaymania without checking reviews first...big mistake.

I was told the order wasn't shipped on the day i ordered as "the systems were down" There is no option for tracking delivery or even choosing your courier it simply states..normal. They use second class mail, no option to choose 1st class.

After 2 weeks i'm still waiting for the delivery and currently using google checkout to persue a full refund as prepaymania was unhelpful and arrogant during any discussions on the phone.

Just 10 mins searching the net for reviews brings up so many negative ones, all those people cant be wrong. STAY AWAY! paying a few more £'s for a phone will be worth it in the long run.

- sells refurbished phones as new, screwed over if fault develops- very dodgy company

The phone stopped working after a few months and I found out it did not fall within manufacturers warrenty when i tried to get it repaired for free at carphone warehouse , despite them selling it with a manufacturer 12 warrenty guarantee. Since then very poor communication they kept my phone for longer than they stated they would and they they finally said it was customer damage when it certainly was not and refused to repair it.
A similar story to previous posters.

Interesting how the new user Frances Seth with no other posts (as I now am as I decided to speak up) has given such a good review. Surely the prepay mania employees should spend their time rectifying the multitude of customer complaints instead of moonlighting as customers on a variety of forums and trying to raise their profile.

I would just like to express my dissapointment and concern over the lack of after sales service that I have received since purchasing a phone from prepaymania!!
I recently purchased a Nokia 6555 and after a few weeks, realised that the battery power wasn't lasting longer than a day!
I returned the phone as instructed, but unfortunately have to say that the service I have received since, has been absolutely non existent, and the only updates on the matter I have received, are when I have called myself!
I have also been made to feel that I am an inconvenience when calling to enquire regarding the progress of the item I have paid for!
Their customer service in my experience, is extremely poor, and due to this fact, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone who was looking to purchase a mobile phone online!......AVOID this company if you like reliable after sales contact!

Ordered Item over 2 weeks ago, no sign of anything being done

used the website to ask what was happening, was told someone would get back to me, that was a week ago, using paypal to try and get a refund, would stay away from, i knew there hsould of been a reason their site was so cheap
