I tried every site for prices. I lost all I had and had very little money to live out of hotels. I went from site to site with disappointment till I found pricelines name your own price. I ended up with a upscale hotel in an upscale location that exceeded my expectations because I would've settled for anything. The price was lower then the cheapest no star hotel in any part of the city. I told friends who also ended up with amazing deals. I wont waste my time with anyone else.
Could not ask for a better experience.
I always try Priceline first ! I have used their services many times from full trip accommodation to car rental only ,and to flight only even name your own price ! I have always been very satisfied with making arrangements to cancellations. Thanks Priceline
The room was a nice size with all of the areas sectioned off well. There was a full size refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The counters were a nice Corian with a flat two burner stove and deep stainless sink built in. You can tell it was an older building but very well maintained. Plenty of parking. Only two floors so it was spread out. Clean and well appointed. Very pleasant stay overall.
I love to use name your own price and always get wonderful rooms.
We use priceline for everything, recently booked a room in DFW, but immediately noticed a cheaper rate called priceline they refunded us the difference plus $25 and gave us a voucher for $50 on our next booking, very simple it doesn't get any better than that.
My Fiance and I have always been the kind to fly by the seat of our pants and book hotels last minute. Priceline has never ever let us down or steered us in a negative direction . I love that we can read reviews and see photos of the place before we get there.
I'm sure like any other business there are going to be somethings that people find that do not like or the service wasn't to their expectation. But as for me, everything went perfect. Great service and this is not the only time I've used Priceline and definitely will not be the last.
My hotel bill was $56 less than priceline charged to my credit card. I'm not sure how to get it reconciled.
I got a room on Thanksgiving for one third the hotels posted rates. The pictures on the sight were helpful and accurate. the description was clear and easy to understand. the web sight was easy to navigate. I will use priceline again and i will recommend it to everyone.
As I am in the industry I understand the needs of guests and the necessity of being able to find accommodation at a price you feel comfortable with. I have referred over 100 people to Priceline and have walked most thru the steps to bidding and securing a hotel at great savings. Thanks Price line and keep up the great work. Ron Halfmoon Bay B.C. I have used Priceline for flights and hotels. I have never had a problem. Recently, there was a discrepancy in the room type. The priceline page said to contact hotel to request number of beds, room preference. The hotel said I needed to contact priceline to clarify. I thought oh heck, this is not going to work out, but when I called priceline, they put me on hold, called the hotel, and corrected the room type, quickly.
I have been using Priceline for several years. Nearly always, I find the best deals on Priceline, whether via bidding or in a recent trip, I took advantage of their special deals that don't require bidding. Priceline has spoiled me. I often go to Naperville, IL to visit my teacher. About a decade ago, I was happy that there was one hotel in Naperville that I could stay for $64 a night. Since I've been using Priceline, I have paid on average between $35 and $45 a night to stay at hotels in Naperville area. Similarly, I've used Priceline with success a few times for rental cars. I've never had a problem. Of course, you need to know for sure you are traveling. You can't get refunds once you submit a winning bid on Priceline. I've considered this a small chance to take considering the savings.
Got a great deal on a suite using Priceline.com. The only thing I wish was that the property had not been kept a secret till after the transaction...but in the end, it was a fantastic property and deal. I understand that if the prices were public, there would be a lot of people getting the great rate and asking for it at the counter Vs making the paid reservation in advance. Overall, it was a great experience.
I had a Doctor's appt in Dallas and we were expecting bad weather so we made the reservations through Priceline.com and then headed over the Hyatt Park Hotel.
We had stayed in one before and this one like that one was Perfect. Everything and Everyone very nice. Our room spotless, large sofa and the most comfortable bed you have ever slept in. Then in the Morning, the Best Shower, I was trying to write down the type of shower head, it felt so great. Then down to a nice Breakfast and off to the Doctors appointment. My surgery is set now and we will be coming back to that same hotel to stay the night before the surgery so I will be close to hospital and will not have to drive from home.
Priceline is my go-to site for travel and leisure. Their site is easy to use and the deals are just great! I've used the Chat tool with their Customer Service and every single time, they've been very helpful & courteous. Just tonight, I chatted with Brent for a couple of questions that I had on their "name your price" tool which I've never used before. Got the answers in concise way and he was very patient with me as well. Just provided me with great service all around! I will continue to use Priceline (have so for several years now) and will definitely recommend it to family & friends!
I will never use Priceline again. NEVER. Customer service is a joke. Admittedly, I made a careless & stupid mistake. I was reviewing the cancellation policy, & accidentally clicked on the "cancel reservation" button instead of "do not cancel". So, they charged my CC for one night. FYI - There is no "are you sure you want to do this?" warning. I called IMMEDIATELY after & was told that there was nothing they could do for me, (i.e. no cancellation reversal, can't stay the night I was charged). When I asked to speak to a manager, they stated that there wasn't anyone to transfer me to. They couldn't care less about their customers. I've emailed them, but haven't received a response yet. However, the email confirming the cancellation was received after my expensive mistake was made. Oh, "that's an automated response" you say? Well, the email to reset your password should be also, but I never received it. Yep, I checked my Spam folder. Read the other bad reviews here, & save yourself the time and money.
I have tried many of the other Travel engines, however, Priceline has proven to be the travel to beat. They are hands down the best site with the lowest prices!
Priceline even has a name your own price option, which I have successfully bid and won very cheap priced airfare, hotels and rental cars!
If you have not tried Priceline do yourself a favor and before booking anywhere else just try it. You will be impressed with your savings...
We used priceline on a recent last minute trip and got a great price. We couldn't find a better price anywhere else. The room was nice and clean and the location was perfect for what we wanted. I would most definitely use priceline again when planning another trip whether it's last minute or not!
I have used priceline to plan a few last minute trips & they saved me alot of money so i recommend them to everyone i know.
I rarely book a room without using priceline. Their size and power saves me money...a lot of money. I travel nearly a third of the year and have NEVER. Had a bad room or deal through Priceline.
Take the plunge and bid away...Priceline doesn't deal with small town hotels...you always gets great deal.
Priceline only allows you to change bookings by phoning them, which I think dates from the 1990's. I've emailed them all my flight details, but they still want me to phone them to change a booking. I guess that's fine when you live in the US, but for people living elsewhere it can be costly.
You can definitely get a good hotel, rental car or other travel-related deal from Priceline. Unfortunately, the process of bidding (Name Your Own Price) is painful and a crap-shoot! The reservations are non-refundable, non-transferable and can't be canceled. For example, you discover the actual hotel once your offer is accepted but Priceline doesn't tell you that the hotel is under renovation and you won't be able to sleep or hear yourself think due to construction!
Also, there is a difference between a hotel and a motel or inn. Priceline doesn't differentiate so you think you're offering on a hotel with multiple floors and internal entry doors. However, once your deal is accepted you discover you've been booked at a motel located adjacent to a major road or Interstate highway with exterior-entrance rooms and outdoor walkways. This is a form of "bait and switch" misrepresentation!!!
I don't intend to let the negative aspects of Priceline prevent me from taking advantage of the opportunity to land a great deal. Nevertheless, novice users should be aware of these pitfalls and be cautious.
I was able to get a really good last minute discount for a hotel. My experience has alway been good and always recommend my friends to try name your price option. They cant believe the discount they get with name your price.
Priceline, my goto travel buddy.
I have been a Priceline customer for years now. I use them 95% of the time when I have to travel about anywhere. The other 5% would be from the inability to cancel or change reservations (even with the cancellation policy). So, if there is a chance that I may have to have ANY changes made to a reservation I will not book with them. But, that is pretty rare. Even though now at times its a bit harder to really get REALLY good deals, they pretty much beat out there competitors prices. Love my Priceline!
I recently booked a ticket with them for $ 180 (which I found on another website for $ 129 a few minutes later). then I ask them to cancel my reservation since I bought " Travel Insurance" and they say that I have to be either jobless, terminally ill or DIE to cancel and get all my money back. And even if I have one of those reasons valid, I have to file a claim with the insurance company and god knows when they would give my money back. they have redefined the term 'insurance'. the airlines say the travel agency is responsible and the travel agency says we do what the airline tells us. All big fat cheaters. Never ever ever buy 'travel insurance'
For those traveling on a budget, I recommend Priceline. This was my first time using it, myself, and I tried selecting a hotel within their map area. Although my selection on the Express Deals brought me to a hotel away from where I wanted to be, it was a nice hotel. I wasn't able to cancel and select another hotel, which made the trip a little frustrating and caused me to have to drive farther. I would use Priceline again; however, I will have to let my partner do the selections, as usual. There seems to be a science to finding the right hotel and I guess I just don't know the magic behind it.
