Very efficient business. The website live support responded immediately to a query about the invoice. The printer I ordered came within 24 hours. The price was good and the manufacturer is even offering £25 cashback. What more could you ask for?

Really good customer service

My first order has been problematic due to Citylink's seeming inability to reliably deliver a package (they have taken it to the wrong depot on two successive days now apparently). Printerbase have been great though - they have been chasing up Citylink and keeping me informed and have now cancelled the original delivery and shipped out another printer for before noon delivery at their expense. I feel bad for Printerbase as it's not their fault that Citylink are incompetent, but Printerbase's customer service has been exemplary (unlike Citylink's where it seems that they can not even be bothered to answer the phone most of the time). I hope the Printerbase management cancel their arrangement with Citylink and switch to a more reliable courier.

Prompt Delivery & Help for Mac OS X

I wanted a printer primarily for Mac OS X 10.6 and 10.7, and they were very helpful both prior to, and after purchase regarding drivers, as were the manufacturer, which was Kyocera-Mita. The printer was delivered lunchtime next day.

Let Down By Delivery Person

For five working days, the delivery person neither buzzed my flat at the door nor rang my mobile to sort out the problem but instead wrote "delivery refused" on the manifest. Printerbase's customer service team tried to help but they couldn't get their delivery person(s) to ring me so after *four* failed attempts at delivery, I was forced to cancel the printer order.

Incidentally, the separate replacement toner cartridge I ordered *was* delivered successfully because unlike the other delivery person, this one rang my mobile (although he too failed to notice the buzzer system at the door).

Give them a go...

If you want advice you have to go to Printerbase. Pricing is always good so no complaints there. They don't try to compete with every one-man-band online store but if you want "cheap as chips" don't expect too much. I've had bad experiences online and later found out that I've bought from some bloke running a business from his garden shed even though the website made it look like one of the largest online shops in the UK. Not sure how you can weed out the good from the bad, which is why I just stick with the companies I've had good experiece with. My advice: if you want quality advice and service pay the extra few quid!

The guru at Printerbase is a chap called Nick Simpson and if you're looking for a helping hand give him a call. He can be quite difficult to get hold of because he's one of the manager's but if you're not sure what to opt for then ask for him. I'm sure the other staff give great advice but I only talk to them to place an order for cartridges. That's just me!

I remember speaking to Sue in Customer Services when we had the huge snow fall in December 2010. She wasn't able to do much because the whole country was at a standstill but she made me feel warm and fuzzy so 5 stars to her! Luckily, I forward plan and have spares on the shelf so wasn't worried. Sue kept me informed regarding the progress of the delivery and it did eventually turn up.

Superb pre-sales......

Purchased a Xerox from Printerbase on the recommendation of one of their long-standing customers and I've not been disappointed! The website is customer friendly as is their 'live' support on line. Following several conversations by e-mail, Nick Simpson agreed that he would contact us later in the day to discuss any last minute concerns before placing an order. He answered all questions in terms that were easily understood. The impression he gave was that he was there to deliver a printer that would meet our needs. We placed our order with confidence at around 15:45pm on the Thursday and the Xerox was delivered by courier at 11:40am the following morning! Excellent company, service and value. A highly recommended retailer without doubt!

Outstanding Service

At around 4.00PM I rang Printerbase to check if the printer I wanted was in stock, the lady on the phone confirmed that it was. I also ordered some inks. The printer arrived at 08.05 the next morning and the inks half an hour later! I was a little disappointed that it had gone so perfectly because I had no excuse to ring and talk to the charming lady with whom I had spoken in the first place!

Totally unacceptable

I rang the company to check the printer was in stock. They confirmed it was. I bought the printer. They confirmed next day delivery. I rang three times to confirm that the printer would be delivered. Each time they confirmed it would be delivered and was on its way. Then at 5 o'clock when the printer hadn't turned up, I rang them again, and they said it was out of stock and had never even been sent. Complete scammers. Steer well clear.

Excellent experience all round

I recently bought my first item from Printerbase, a Xerox 6280DN A4 Colour Laser Printer. I had done my research beforehand, so pretty much knew what I wanted. The website is a bit cluttered, but did do the job well. The order was in stock and delivery was exceptionally fast. The courier called me beforehand to make sure I was at home, quite a better model than some of the others that just make you sit and wait all day before turning up (if they turn up at all that is).
So, excellent and professional service overall. I would not hesitate to recommend to others.
