I have purchased Musto sailing trousers on 08.04.2013.It's 12.05.2013 The item still not arrived .They have charged my credit card despite informing me that they don't have item in stock. I have tried to cancel my order but no reply. It's impossible to log in to their website. STAY AWAY FROM BUYING ANYTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE.
Ordered a cricket tracksuit on 25/01/13 for my son's birthday on 10/03/13 - the £52 was taken from my account but i have not received any goods! No replies to my emails, I did get through to someone by phone once and they promised the goods by the end of the week (8/3/13) but they were lying............ Steer well clear :-(
It may be timing but I have never had a problem with this company. I cannot speak for other people but personally I have been more than satisfied.
I haven't given 5 stars because I never do.
Purchased a number of products over the last year from this company including cricket whites with bespoke printing, other clothing, oakley sunglasses and in the past golf equipment. All have been delivered on time and the product quality has been second to none. I will be looking to get a full set of cricket shirts printed for my team for next season. Recommend you give them a go, great quality and VFM.
I have purchased numerous items from Pro4sport in the past and recently purcharsed some cricket gear for the pre-season. I have to say despite reading the comments on this site, i have nothing but great reviews. I had confirmation of the order, and even after ringing the company to do a change of address my cricket gear arrived on time as stated. I would certainly recommend this site, and i will be buying more in the near future for family xmas presents.
Thanks again
ordered skin travel & recovery compression tights they sent an email with a delivery date thats as close as i got to getting them . the companies a waste of time and space.
Do not not not use this site! They will take your money and run!
They took mine!
Nothing about this site is genuine, impossible to log in, impossible to call, impossible to email.
They can take your money though!
Do not believe the good reviews either, must be a spoof or an employee!!
I ordered a Gore cycling jacket from these guys 2 weeks ago. Their email said the order was due to ship 7 days ago 'at the latest'; today, still no delivery. I tried calling their number: no reply. A bit of research shows that the company is called Pro4sport.co.uk Ltd - remarkably similar to a company in liquidation called Pro4sport Ltd, and with the same old director (David Adams) and company secretary (John Fowler).
Needless to say I have emailed to cancel the order. Fortunately the company have not yet taken payment on my card, and I have informed them that if they do I shall report the matter to the police as fraud.
So, my advice is: don't go anywhere near them!
Made an order without checking this review site first. Received nothing at first then requested an acknowledgement of the order. Also asked why their system wouldn't let me open an account.
Automated Acknowledgement stated the dispatch date. Nothing about the account.
Nearer the dispatch date I asked for confirmation the item would actually be dispatched. No reply. Dispatch date passed without any confirmation of dispatch.
Then discovered firm was in administration. Immediately emailed to cancel the order. Surprise surprise - no reply.
Emailed again later demanding the order be cancelled and eventually got an automated reply. No apology.
Close call. Poor service despite not actually receiving an order. Suspect the item was not even in stock.

Tried to buy sailing clothes. Received an immediate receipt and then nothing. The goods didn't arrive when they said they would. No number of calls or email got a response. I couldn't even get through. Not worth the saving to be made. Ended up with nothing. Would never use them again when there are so many good outfits out there.
Sorry, I have to rate 1 star because they deserve 0 !!!
Placed an order 25th july - late august still nothing!!
I've mailed them twice (latest to ask them to cancel the order and confirm this on mail). They haven't replied on any of my mails!
I'll never shop here again. Just sorry that I didn't check the reviews before placing the order as it look's like I'm not the only one with this problem.
I ordered 2 pairs of trainers in April and I'm still waiting in August. There's been minimal communication. I have said that I'll consider a small claim and will contact trading standards.
Next time I want some trainers I'll save time by buying a calf, rearing it, tanning the leather etc.
Ordered a shirt from this company in May. No received it. Order cancelled. No refund. No reply to emails or phone calls.
Do not place an order with this firm
I am still awaiting a refund for an order placed in April. I returned the goods immediately because they were unsuitable but 3 months on, I still do not have a refund. My credit card company is now involved but because I paid via Paypal, it isn't straightforward. They haven't responded to any of the numerous e-mails I have sent - even the one to the so called boss. Outrageous, they should not be allowed to trade!
I ordered UA products from their site pro4sport.co.uk using Paypal i think 8 hats all in all after a week they didnt mail me for the dispatchment of my order so i email them and they told me that their having problem on their stock and ones it fix they will email me for the dispatchment, its been 2wks but they didnt mail me back so i asked and they replied and apologizing for the delay and promising they will sent the order by next wk, the other week i open my email and they sent me a message canceling my order so i replied on them asking why did they cancel all my order and that i didnt even recieve my order, after that final conversation they didnt answer any of my email and suddenly i discover on their feedbacks on ebay account that same thing happen to me had also happen to them until ebay close their account.. Now im concerning that their site pro4sport.co.uk still exist and paypal also accepting payment on their company.

I paid for a jacket on 12/06/12 & was told it would be sent no later than 15/06. It didn't arrive & when I chased it up was told about a stocktaking/software problem & it would be sent the following week. It didn't arrive, I e-mailed, phoned and turned up at the premises which were locked up and said to be re-opening on the 18th June - this was on the 29th June! I have just called the neighbouring unit who said that when people are there they are not answering the door or phone & that they had people with them who were doing the same as me trying to get their goods or money back. The man I spoke to seems to think they have gone out of business and are avoiding outstanding customers. I have now opened a complaint with Paypal to see if I can get my money back. I have also tweeted the managing director to see if that will needle him into a response. Terrible
I ordered a wet weather jacket over 3 weeks ago and after 1 day they had charged my credit card and sent me an email telling me the order was closed and they were despatching my order. I wish I had happened across this website before making a purchase. After reading all the bad reports, and still having not received my jacket, I have inundated them with emails.
Finally today I received an email telling me they are refunding my credit card as the order was taking too long to deliver. I am hopeful that I will receive a refund, but after reading some of the below complaints I won't be convinced until it's in my account. I have contacted my credit card company who are going to investigate it in the meantime.
I wouldn't have worried so much if someone there had communicated with me the delay with despatch. A one minute email from them would have put my mind at rest weeks ago and I would have been happy to wait for my jacket. Now all I want is my money back and to forget about this company altogether.
No response to email. A phone message that says they were conducting a stock take and would reopen on Monday 18th June. It is now Tuesday 4th July. I've listened to that message often enough not to do business with them again.
I'll just reiterate what Jon Edwards said below. I hoped the appearance on this forum by David Adams meant that previous reviews had caught the company at a bad time and that service and customer communication had improved but so far my experience has been appalling and I would urge anyone to avoid ordering from Pro4Sport.
I ordered some sailing boots from them in good faith knowing that we were moving house in about 3 weeks and would be moving the boat shortly after that. Now I'm £173 lighter at a time when we're dealing with the expense of moving house and the school summer holidays ahead. Money is tight and I've nothing to show for it.
I've tried to call and just get an ansafone message saying that it's closed for an annual stock check until June 18th (i.e. a fortnight before I'm calling!) I've emailed all the email addresses to no avail.
I suspect Jon Edwards is right in his opinion that this company is a great swindle. It is clearly offering goods that it doesn't actually have available to sell and any genuine, professional businessman would give a refund without being chased for weeks.
I'd read a lot of bad reviews about this company but the MD had taken the time to answer some reviews and left his personal email address for further queries. That appeared quite genuine so I tested the email address and got a really positive reply. UNFORTUNATELY he is innaccurate and untruthful in stating the company are now trustworthy, once they had my money I had to chase them after three weeks about non delivery. Received several excuses and that was the last they replied to me. July 6th and I'll be issuing a Small Claims Application to get a refund. I'm allowed to hold an opinion and and share it without interference, CROOKS.

Not happy. Over 1 week since ordering trainers over £80. Nothing. Can't get a hold of them on the phone. Can't get a hold of them via email. Not happy.
BEWARE....This company is either in serious financial trouble or just doesn't give a stuff about its customers or its reputation. No response despite emails and calls.....answer service states closed until the 18th due to stock take...Its the 25th!!!!
20 days since I ordered the product and nothing has arrived. My e-mails have not been returned and I cannot get an answer on the phone. Are they a legitimate business or a con?
I ordered some underarmour sportswear 6 weeks ago online, they took the money 3 weeks later. Over the last 3 weeks I still hadn't recieved the goods. I phoned after 3 weeks - out of stock - a familiar story! They blamed the Jubilee bank holiday etc. Over the last 3 days I've phoned and phoned and emailed to get a refund. Nothing. So I took a trip to Chesterfield up the road... met by a man at the warehouse who came down from upstairs into the shop. Where I made my case. In the background there were loads of phone calls. I got my refund... on paper, waiting for it to clear. I said I had come to check if they were a legitimate business to which he gestured to the warehouse that clearly it was. I said their customer service was appalling - he said they were short staffed.
I left as soon as I got the refund to which he said an insincere and slightly comedic sounding 'sorry'. Clearly he doesn't care reputation of the business and what the company does and is in breach of the distance selling regulations.
Look through the reviews - same story again and again. Had I lived further away and not been able to visit the warehouse I think I'd have ended up taking legal advice and potentially taken them to court.
I ordered some Oakley sunglasses 3 weeks ago and have not received anything other than a receipt. I've only just started chasing them however so they may answer my emails and phone calls. Even if they do actually contact me I would still rate them pretty low. I've tried ringing both the sales and customer services number and neither answer. The price is a touch cheaper but at the moment its feeling quite expensive!
EDIT: I opened a new issue in resolution center yesterday as i paid via paypal. Apparently I have been issued a refund today. I have still had no correspondence however. Lets hope the refund lands in my account
I ordered running trainers from pro4sport. They did not arrive within 5 working days so I looked at reviews on here. I became a little concerned after reading reviews stating that this is a rogue/robbing company. This I don't believe to be the case following my experience as a customer. I e-mailed 'david@pro4sport.co.uk' on the evening of the fifth working day. No reply. So on the afternoon of the 7th working day I rang their customer care line and got straight through. The woman on the phone line explained that - as I expected, my item was out of stock and that they were to get a delivery the following week. So I waited - which for me is not a problem.
On the Saturday morning, three days after my phone call, I recieved my item stamped as a 'next day delivery' package. I did not pay for next day delivery so this was an unexpected courtesy. It is my belief that 'david@pro4sport.co.uk' ensured that this item was posted as a next day delivery package.
Overall, this company earned 4 stars off me because:
- I saved £30 by using them
- They provided adequate customer service when I required it
- I received the correct item undamaged
- I recieved my item marked up as a next day delivery which was a service I did not pay for
Why not 5 stars?:
- Delivery took longer than 5 working days
If you use this company, which, I would say there is no reason not to, and you don't recieve your item within 5 working days - be patient. Do not get angry with the staff becasue as a general rule, that will get you nowhere. Understand that this company also has a shop and so items are often out of stock. If in doubt ring them as I did - and ask about the availability of your item. If you do, I am sure you will recieve good customer service from a legitimate internet company.
Final point - There is a lot of negative coverage about this company - which made me panic a little. When it comes down to it, internet shopping is a risk you take, and as a satisfied customer by and large, I don't believe that pro4sport.co.uk is any worse than any other e-commerce company that I have used in the past.
Regards.
I've changed my mind about Pro4sport. My first experience of them was not a positive one. I suffered the same problem as many people on here, back in 2010: goods ordered but not in stock, money taken, no sign of goods, emails ignored, phone never answered, promises of refunds not actioned.... yada yada yada. Eventually I got my money back from the credit card company, after I sent a final warning by recorded delivery which they also ignored even after signing for it. It was a wholly unsavoury experience and, frankly, if it had gone bust I'd have opened champagne and danced on its grave.
Earlier this week I was able to speak to David Adams on the phone after I took up his invitation elsewhere on this site to email him directly and to my immense surprise he responded. David explained that the company had expanded rapidly and had effectively outgrown its largely manual information systems, leading to the kind of stock-out problems that people like me had experienced, and that the system hadn't been sophisticated enough to not charge for all goods at the point of order, even though items weren't then dispatched. It may sound like an excuse, but this sort of stuff does happen in business more often than you think.
David explained that the company has invested in new systems which should prevent a lot of this happening, and indeed the recently revamped website does appear to be much more representative of the company's ability to fulfil orders.
He was unable to explain away the human element of all the problems I had - emails being ignored, verbal promises made but not actioned etc - which make up the bulk of frustration in situations like this. However, I can report that these issues are now very much on his agenda and he does seem to be committed to sorting them out.
David also invited me to test the revamped Pro4sport with another order, which I did. I'm pleased to say that the goods arrived next day, just as ordered.
Pro4sport is capable of providing a good service, but clearly many people experience problems which then snowball out of control. David is now, finally, very much aware of this and does seem committed to resolving those issues. To everyone who moans about how specialist sports retailers have been driven out of business by the likes of JJB and Sports Direct, Pro4sport is the type of business we should be supporting.
Would I buy from them again? In areas where their prices are competitive, yes, I probably would - but with a very short span of patience. It's something of a shame that they are now focusing their business in activities where I don't have much of an interest, but if I ever need stuff they do sell I will certainly consider them, something I never thought I'd say a week ago.
I have no connection to Pro4sport other than as a customer.
I placed an order on the 26 feb knowing it would not be dispatched until the 8 march, after a week I called customer care & they assured my they would dispatched at the end of the week, but they still didn't arrive so I called again today & I spoke to Darren who could not have been more helpful & explained that the supplier (asics) had given them wrong date for delivery, & offered me a substitute with which I was happy to except. I found. Darren to be very helpful, polite, professional & very efficient. In my opinion I think that people need to take into consideration that pro4 sport offer some of the best prices on line, you certainly wouldn't get these prices on the high street & in the present climate we are all looking to save so I think it needs to be appreciated how busy pro4spot must be & like all company's make mistakes, but I do feel that this something pro4sport is rectifying, so before you turn away from pro4sport I would ask you to reconsider,it would be a real shame if they were to no longer offer us such fantastic prices & we have to go back to being ripped off
It seems that Trust pilot do not recognise the silent majority of the online shopping public and only provide a outlet for the very small number of people who we as a company have let down.
In the last 12 months we have shipped thousands of items with 99.9% of our customers giving a 5* rating. If you click on the above link you can see for yourself the feedback we get from our customers.
We work very hard to meet 100% of our customers expectations but nobody in life is perfect.
If you have issues email me personally on david@pro4sport.co.uk I will mail you back and even give you a discount code to thank you for your feedback as any feedback is valuable to me.
This company lie to me on the phone. The goods do not arrive. They are congenitally unable to reply to non abusive emails.
I will get my money back - thanks to using a Credit Card.
My rating PPPP Positively P--s Poor Performance
After a reclamation, which got refunded by Musto, I don't get my money from them. I have never get a response via Email from Pro4Sport. No contact at all.
Never again, worst shop ever! Now I have to talk to my advocate...
I have ordered and received a Helly Hansen sailing jacket from Pro4sport. The item got here in time and in perfect condition. However, the communication was mediocre. No confirmation by mail or anything.
After calling them twice and sending 2 emails I finally got the confirmation. It took the item about 2 weeks to arrive at my doorstep in the Netherlands.
I am glad to have gotten the item as somewhere else was not possible.
However the service is not perfect and when there would have been something wrong I wonder if everything would be handeled correctly.
On the other hand I have also ordered something from them earlier through ebay where the reviews and service are near perfect. So maybe the company should aim some of there effort towards improving the service for customers buying from there site directly.
Would buy again but with caution and by credit card/paypal so a draw back could easily be done. Just because of the communication and lack of confirmation and update.
I ordered a Gill fleece from Pro4sport- much cheaper than anywhere else on the web. I agree that they are not perfect which is why I gave 4/5 stars. They took payment quickly, but did deliver the goods within 10 days of ordering. One area they could improve on is their response to emails. I did get a general email to inform me that the order had been processed, but it was not clear when the item would be delivered and did not answer my specific questions in my initial email. I was very pleased with the item- it is a birthday present and arrived just in time. Just make sure you order in plenty of time, just in case!
I ordered a pair of Oakley Plaintiff sunglasses last Wednesday, and after reading some of the reviews on here I started to panic, especially when I didn't get a reponse to an email I sent them, although I was able to contact them by phone without any issues.
The glasses arrived today, (the following Tuesday), and they are exactly what I ordered. They were the cheapest by £20 online, and delivered within the parameters as detailed in their T & C's. I would give them the full 5 stars, but the lack of response to email queries has cost them one star, as I feel that this is something they need to address.
Pro4Sport has very little stock, if any, but take immediate payment.
You can e-mail continuously but there is little chance of a reply.
If you can evetualy manage to get through on the phone, you will get the option to wait a couple more weeks as they might get a delivery.
Probably the worst company I have had the misfortune to order from on the internet.
I ordered a large amount of hockey kit for a team, the price was very good, so i thought i'd got a great deal.
Because it was a telephone order, i had no records of the order, which was worrying. After failing to deliver on the exspected date, i contacted them time and again, and got no reponse when promised, and an aweful customer services team.
Eventually 3 weeks after ordering, i cancelled the order, (after missing important games i'd ordered it for).
I re-ordered with another company, for very slightly more, the items turned up 2 days later, no problems.
Stay well clear.
Ordered lots of stash with them. Promised deadline after deadline.
Dont then reply. Dont answer calls. Dont deliver.
Got 20 angry people with no stash and nothing to really show bar a crappy invoice.
ARRGgggghhhh
Bad service, product not available and not friendly on the phone. Lack of interest for clients it seems. Still waiting for my refund which they would pay back the same day I called, which is over a week ago. Bunch of criminals..
