My husband gave his suggestions for gifts as hints and proviation were able to turn these into an order which I'm delighted to have in my hands in a very short time. They showed me the right flying guide to purchase, sim software and spontaneously I purchased a 'crew clothing' Ridley gilet which seemed like a very nice extra and something we can no longer source as we are now outside the country. So on the hole this was a good shopping trip and delivered with the utmost in friendly and courteous service throughout giving a very upmarket impression indeed!
I found just what I wanted, and these guys have everything I could ever need - - great products, fast delivery, and they do offer sound advice before purchase! I'm happy with my stuff and have for sure I'll be coming back again
I ordered a Trackclip Pro on the 9th September for £34.00 and payment was taken from my card on the following day. The website stated 5-7 days for delivery yet I'd received nothing by the 17th so I chased via the online chat and got no answer although I did receive an email later advising they were waiting from the distributor to re-stock so fair enough I waited.
On the 4th November I tried the online chat to check the whereabouts of my order, having got no response to that request (bearing in mind the website was still saying 5-7 days for deliver) I asked if I cancel my order would I still get a refund. I was not asking to cancel the order but that is what Proviation did.
The cancellation email advised that a refund would take 7-10 working days however on the 9th working day my bank had seen no sign of the refund and stated it should only take 5-7 days in their opinion, so I emailed Proviation who asked me to leave it another 24-48 hours and they would manually escalate of not received.
I left it a further 4 days and still no refund so I asked if they intended to actually refund.
10 days after that I still had received no refund so I emailed again where I was now being told that a cheque would be sent.
That was a week ago and now my emails are not being responded too.
In the meantime I ordered a Trackclip Pro off [External Reference] and it arrived the following day, I know who I'll be shopping with in future.
Last minute necessity prompts pilot case buy...
Browsed a range of pilot stores in order to replace my very expensive branded case which finally gave up the ghost on me this week. None came close with range which was not overwhelming as neatly categorized,
A click here, a click there and there's an array of wheeled cases at your disposal. I selected a far cheaper case than my own, enticed by a long warranty and 'throw away' mentality which we now have.
On receipt this morning I am wondering why I spent so much on my last case as this one looks like it will go the distance. In short I recommend the PC8- tough leather and trolley mechanism looks likely to last. At this price you can't go wrong but make sure you buy it at Proviation.
A brief online chat later (which proves proviation staff are knowledgeable on the finer points) and I ordered replacement headset ear seals which I was pleased to see Proviation had available where no one else did.
From that point there was a flurry of emails and one confirming dispatch and I had them the next day.
I'd been prepared to wait weeks for these or even pick 'em up in the 'states on a trip so this simple order was very pleasing!
I ordered a pilot case on 21/11/13. They told it's due Monday/Tuesday of next week,
so I paid for it with Paypal. But I haven't any mail from this site after the payment completed.
And I haven't any response after I sent a mail to this customer service.
I recommend not to use this site, it's a really poor customer service and don't trust this site.
Really easy transaction.They even phoned to just check the delivery address before sending out the order. And the best deal online for the FMC guide- decent shipping rate too given its a pretty heavy textbook.
I received my flight jacket in very good time. There was a delay initially as they're made up to customer order by all accounts. The quality of the jacket is nothing short of superb and one would expect to have paid far more for such an article (this being the A2 jacket- Proviation brand). I did not interact much with customer service except by email where they were extremely courteous and helpful.
The guys at proviation are fantastic, service was great, advice given was good, transceiver was ready to go out of the box (used so tested by them).
Had issues with a radio which I offered for trade in which they took off me last year for parts and this was also well handled.
I ordered a jacket from Proviation on next day delivery, which they then told me they didn't have in stock. They told me they had issued a refund, and 33 days later I'm still waiting for it.
No one ever picks up the phone (which makes me think those who are saying they spoke to Proviation are somewhat suspect) and they hardly ever reply to emails. The few emails they do send say something along the lines of "It's a technical fault, we should know more tomorrow" and then NOTHING happens.
My last email from them had a different name from mine at the top- clearly a copy and paste job- and stated that they couldn't help me any further and that I would have to try and get the money back from them through my bank.
Avoid at ALL costs.
I have managed to receive a full refund from Proviation. Once I had left a few negative reviews online they were suddenly very eager to sort the problem out for me, and in turn asked me to take down all the negative reviews.
I'm still angry at the way I was treated. I left messages on their answer phone, sent multiple emails and rarely received a reply, which is very frustrating when you're owed a couple of hundred pounds.
Once I had their full attention they arranged the refund swiftly. I wouldn't chance shopping there again though.
Fantastic service! Guys on the phone were extremely helpful and patient during selection of fireproof suits. These are on order for me as a bespoke request and I can pay later for these through invoice to my company which is very helpful. Meanwhile I've ordered a hard side trolley case which arrived in about 20 hours!
I've ordered 2x from Proviation and went back recently to buy a second bag of the same kind for a pilot buddy who liked the look of it. I'll be sure to recommend them to other colleagues.
The bag itself is a trolley design with an extra tough outer layer. Its sat in a hotel even now with enough kit in for an unscheduled night stop...
Delivery was with parcelforce and it arrived the next day on both occasions even in spite of free dleivery.
Placed an order for a handheld transceiver on next day delivery.
They never answered the phones and finally got back to my email a couple of days later. They couldn't provide an ETA for the radio but asked I contact them back again the next week. They still couldn't provide a proper ETA ("probably 10 days or so") so I cancelled my order.
+ They got back to me eventually
+ They cancelled the order and don't appear to have charged the card
+ £5 discount from next order offered to make up for issues
- They don't appear to keep much/any stock (all drop-shipped I guess)
- Their 'virtual online help' person is always offline
- Never answer phones
I probably wouldn't order from them again. I ordered direct from the US manufacturer - cheaper and quicker than waiting for them.
I've since seen the poor reviews they have got. Wanted to give a balanced report here.. Obviously not pleased they couldn't fulfill the order, but am glad it was resolved without problems.
Ordered product 2 weeks later after emails live chat and nobody answering still no joy.

No problems in ordering goods, descriptions very good, website details and delivery info concise; delivery was better than initially advised- no issues, no complaints whatseoever. Thanks for the good service proviation.
I placed a three item order in May and while two items were supposed to arrive within a week, I was informed that the third one would take longer.
Well, after two months they only sent one item!
After six months I requested a refund for the two remaining items and now it has been a month since I've requested my money back (Dec 2013).
Very poor communication; I've been chasing them on a weekly basis and they never reply.
Proviation is itself reliable for web shopping for your aviation parts, etc. and I have used them 3 or 4 occasions Although I had a problem with the courier.
Couriers proved completely intransigent with delivery times stating that they could not find my address.
I was pleased to see that proviation had posted my instructions to the side of the package but clearly no one at the delivery company had checked this properly.
I recommend this company for the quality of their goods and service overall.
I placed my order on the 29/08/13 for a Micro**ionics Helmet (£494.95).
I received a confirmation e-mail saying that they were out of stock and expecting a delivery within the next few days.
There then followed over the last 3 months various exchanges of e-mails and voice mails to their office number.
I have been offered a refund on the 12/11/13 but despite me leaving messages on their
answer machine have still not received my £494.95 back.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want to struggle to get your money back and be continually lied to about the progress of your order.

After posting a poor review on this website I suddenly had several e-mails from the MD of Proviation. Apparently my helmet had just arrived and was in the process of being delivered. I informed them that I no longer trust that my goods would arrive undamaged and didn't want the hassle of spending the next 3 months trying to get a replacement, so cancelled my order.
The helmet did arrive a day or so later and was turned away due to the above reason.
I am still waiting for a full refund, despite paying with Paypal (which makes refunds quicker than 7-10 days).
I am in the same position as many others in that after 45 days Paypal cannot refund your money even if your goods haven't arrived.
I have contacted my bank (as my paypal account is funded with my Visa Debit card) and have raised a 'Charge back' case against Proviation which you can legally do up to 90 days after your purchase to recover your money.
After 3 months of e-mails, phone calls and answer machine messages I have just received a full refund via paypal from Proviation.
Now may be finally I can find a reliable company to purchase my helmet from.
I paid the Lightspeed headsets (555.43 £) on Sept 4th. After a lot of lies and excuses, on Oct 18th, I ask for the refund of my money. After almost 3 months I'm still without headsets and money.
Finally, after 3 months, It seems that I will receive an order the next week but not the original order.
I think that proviation failed its mission because the product did not have it in stock and when he was ordering they would lose money; at that moment they decide not to deliver it. The problem was solved to Proviation when I gave them the opportunity to change the order for other products.

I am extremely disappointed as nobody really take the time to asses the situation and try to sort it out even with similar item or whatever full refund perhaps!. I am really not an happy customer and do hope that other potential buyer will be aware of this potential pitfalls when they place order here. I do hope that there is no malicious intend!
I am pleased to say that Mr Nick Ross from Proviation has swiftly put this situation on order. Even if it is late it is appreciated that his company is taking care of her reputation and play fair. At the end, I will have an other go on them to be on the happy side of their customers. In my view it is extremely valuable to have people trying to rectify situation instead of ignoring it. My impression is they are serious about business and they will do their best to ovoid a repeat again. Time will tell.
Ordered and received my leather jacket within 48 hours. I can't tell you how pleased and impressed I was. Unpacked and wearing...fits fine and suggetion to order next size up on 'phone was spot on. Thanks for a brilliant service and product.
I placed my order on the 11/09/13 with extra payment for next day delivery. This was immediately confirmed and monies taken. Unfortunately the goods did not arrive in time for the weekend when they were required as gifts. The following week I contacted Proviation to request an update as i'd had to make alternative arrangements.
Despite numerous emails, voicemails and online chat messages I did not receive any response until a month later (10/10/13). This was the start of a number of responses in October simply stalling and suggesting something was happening but with never actually following up on them.
In November I was finally told a refund was being processed and received a confirmation my order was cancelled. Despite knowing this should be a pretty much immediate process I waited over the 10 days stated this could take. This was on 11/11/13 and to date I have not received any refund or communications to explain why.
I will now be contacting Trading Standards and following every other avenue I can in an attempt to receive my money back and to stop anyone else receiving the same treatment.
My experience has been terrible and I feel like I have been strung along with repeated stalling and now clear mistruths about what is happening. I strongly recommend you do avoid Proviation so you do not have to endure the same.

Since posting the above I have received multiple correspondence from Proviation.
A refund of approx. 2/3 of the value owed to me has also been made. Why the full amount was not processed is unclear as this is what has been requested for 2 months, but I hope that the remaining amount will follow first thing on Monday and I can update this accordingly.

Since posting the above a further refund has been made, but still the full value of my order has not been covered as the postage is also something which was not delivered. Once again it is unclear why as this has been continuously and clearly requested, but I once again hope that come Monday this will be complete and again I can update.

Despite being in 3 separate transactions and taking nearly 3 months I now have a full refund on my order. Whilst pleased that this has finally been resolved the time and pain to get there remains unacceptable. I recommend extreme caution before placing an order.
Ordered a set of books from ProAviation shop, one of which was not in stock. They contacted me with an apology (as the website said it was in stock), and explained that the book is expected to be delivered to the shop the next day. They then said they would send the package next day delivery (at no extra cost) to make up for the delay. The books arrived sooner than originally thought anyway, and Nick from ProAviation shop called me personally to verify when the package will be delivered. Absolutely superb service. I would give 6* but it only goes up to 5.
Good service on my ordered uniden radio, which now looks way too complicated for me! I may have to use the returns policy.
Part of why I chose proviation was the good product info on the site and the flexible returns policy.
Delivery came quickly.

I bought a pilot equipment to begin flying training and it is awesome!
Before I made the purchase, I contacted support via the live chat on the website in real time and I had the answers to my questions.
Very highly recommended.
I wanted a flying suit for my son before we left the country for good but ordered online from one of the big e retailers even though it was out of stock there. I thought I would just stick with a company I knew...
But with less than a week to go and still no suit , I thought to try elsewhere. Luckily I stumbled across proviation and they had the suit. Luckily I didn't see the bad feedback or I may not have bought but my experience has been a really good one.
There was plenty of communication. An email to confirm order, one to say when it was due to go, one to say it had been dispatched and another one on day of delivery to confirm what time it would arrive. Item arrived ontime and was even better than expected. I'd got a better suit then the one ordered before.

I placed an order on the 19/10/2013 and have not received it yet. I was told it would be here in a week or 2 which was on the 30/10/2013 . Can someone please update me to whereabouts of my order, as it's now 25/11/2013!
I've tried ringing and leaving live chat messages all day today and last Friday. No one got back to me I even left a message on the phone and no joy there as well...
I've given you the benefit of the doubt in regards to supplier issues etc, but the lack of response is the icing on the cake...
The next step is contacting my card issuer for a refund. Not impressed by the very poor customer service.
After complaining, with little response from Proviation and writing a review on this site, my order has finally been shipped...
The offer of a £5 voucher code, whilst it had good intentions, fell on deaf ears as I won't be using Proviation again. In the end I had a £5 refund instead for my trouble...
