I ordered a RAM mount for my iPad mini online. I thought I already had some RAM parts so the staff helpfully modified my order. An hour later I realised that I didn't have the right parts after all and asked to back to the original order.
The helpful staff did not make me feel the idiot that I was. My mount was delivered very quickly. I will certainly use Proviation again.
I actually did not keep the item that I ordered (bag did not quite meet my personal needs), but I was impressed by the speed of the order and of the refund. The returns RMA process was easy and dealings via email polite and prompt. Excellent customer service.
I will be back and will recommend.
I ordered an item five weeks ago today via next-day delivery, and have still to hear that the item has been sent off. I initially received an email claiming there would be a 'slight delay' on my order, and 'due any time' to the warehouse. . Whilst customer service has been polite whenever called, I've only received a single courtesy email eleven days ago informing me I may be waiting another week (which has since passed).
After calling for a third time, I was informed I would receive a courtesy email updating me on the status of my order later that day- four days later I've had to call again, as that email never happened. Starting to lose hope that I'll receive my order at all, when the main reason I ordered from Proviation was that it was the only British supplier with the items I wanted in stock and assumed I'd receive them promptly.
I have yet to receive my ordered product even though it was ordered three days ago and is supposed to be delivered by first class post. This is not Proviations fault but the Royal Mail.
Personally I never use first class post as it's a joke and a waste of money.
Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow.
I bought a scanner that was listed as in stock in the Friday. It didn't ship. Didn't ship on Monday even though I was told it had, then after some chasing and threats to charge back my card, it was then shipped on Tuesday as a drop ship from their supplier.
The phone number is a remote office that is staffed by helpful girls who are as kept in the dark as much as the customers.
I'd think hard before ordering from here again and would only use a credit card. That said it was with me within 4 working days and it was the cheapest that I could find in the UK. It also came with a 3 year guarantee.
The communications were ok, but I'm not sure about the truth in some of the statements that were made about delays.
In reply to the comment below, I ordered before the 3pm cut off, and was told that it had left them on the Monday even though they then said that they had to arrange a drop ship on the Friday.

I would recommend this company to anyone. A great shopping experience which rivals much bigger retailers but with the personal touch.
People at Proviation were helpful in telling me one of my books was about to be revised and offered to send a new copy, which was great, and all items delivered in time for my nephews b'day.
I received my leather bomber jacket from proviation and i must say im very pleased with the fit..Quality and service i received from them..I will order from them in the future and recommend them to friends or family.
A perfect service! I ordered on a Sunday evening from Germany- I expected to wait since the description informed a wait of 3-4 days - yet on Wednesday I received my Dave Clark headset.
Email updates were frequent as to order progress and tracking.
I will definately use Proviation's store in the future!
Proviation provided me with the best price, compared to other major competitors. Plus they delivered speedily and kept me up-to-date via email. They will be the first one I'll look at next time I look to purchase anything for flight training.
Put a order in for a flight yoke at the beginning of April, the web sight said it was in stock. They quickly took my money. Then said they were waiting supply. Then nothing. After a month I got tired of waiting so decided to request a refund. I have been told twice I will be getting a conformation email but nothing has happened. I will have to claim money back through credit card company. Noted quite a few other people have had this problem. Inefficient operation. Wasn't until I posted this review that I was contacted by <private data removed> with an offer of the item I had order. Funny that. But after a the previous chain of events I didn't trust him to deliver the goods. I can't understand why my review was pulled from trust pilot as it was the truth. I have edited it and this is a re-post. I wonder what will happen!

It seemed like it only took a few minutes from when I hit 'place order' until I got an email saying that they had sent my order. The international delivery time to me was much quicker than the stated 7 days.
It was also a very good price for a good set of products. RAF jacket - treat to myself- is absolutely superb.
I ordered my GoPro3 on the Proaviation website on january 8th because it was a good price, and it was not in the stores in Greenland at the time. It turned out to be a bad decision. Today - may 13th - I still don´t have my camera. I have called at least 10 times over the last two months, and every time they promise a same day answer. Nothing ever happens. Last I heard was a mail dated april 16th in which they are asking for 5-7 more business days before they can provide me with a track and trace number. Still nothing. I called again this morning asking for news - they promised to get back today.... I doubt it..... I am glad to read all the good reviews, but I am afraid that for me it is 313 quit out the window. Maybe I should check if there is anything else from the shop that is interesting.....

After placing the order I came across several adverse web forum comments relating to orders taking a long time to be delivered and difficulty in getting information from customer services. I had experienced this wth a previous order but when the item developed a fault the return and repair was dealt with wihout problems.
When two days after placing the order it was still showing as being processed I was thinking that these comments and my previous experience were the norm. However on the third day the order status changed to despached with a link to the courier companies order tracking page showing a delivery for the next day.
So somewhat behind the advertised "same day despach for order placed before 1500hrs" (which it was) but being after a bank holiday weekend may have caused a backlog of orders.
The entire transaction with Proviation was efficient, from initial placing of the order and a good search feature, e-mail confirmation followed and then another notifying despatch and tracking number with United Parcel Service. The garment was exactly as ordered and fit was about right- I used the size guide from the website. Packaging was extremely good which showed care over the item.
I ordered a substantial ammount of Saitek gear from proviation for next day before 12.00 delivery. The packages did not arrive until 16.30. I believe this was an issue caused by the courier. In proviation's favour, they took the time to follow up on this issue.
The equipment i received was first class and the prices are very good. I will certainly be using them in the future.
I have had the worst experience with this online company than with any other company I have EVER bought from! I understood that there would be a delay in ordering my <external link removed>, but after 1mth of waiting and missing out on using it during the nice weather the UK had been blessed with, I thought I would buy it from 'another supplier' instead - but not before cancelling my order with this company. After calling them and reaching the receptionist (quite a nice surprise that I managed to speak to someone quickly) she assured me that my order will be cancelled and the refund will take 5 days (which I was impressed by). I then asked for an email stating that my order was cancelled (as I cannot afford 2 of these cameras) and she said I would. Next day I still hadn't received an email and so I called them asking for an email - I just want to know that it was cancelled in writing. She said it would take 24hrs. Next day, nothing, and again the next day. Called back - she said sorry and assured me that I will get something by the next day. Weekend went by and called again on that Monday - apologies/another 24hr wait. This then happened every day for the next 2 weeks. 3 weeks later still no refund however I did receive an email late last week (2/5/2013 today is 10/5/2013). I checked with my credit card company - no refund - nothing. I cannot express my frustration enough - this company constantly promises and does NOT deliver - A WARNING TO ALL OF YOU!

After a three month process, this shop has taken my money for a jacket and, similarly to the many one-star reviews, failed to deliver or communicate properly unless a bad review was written. The order was eventually cancelled and a refund was promised, but after weeks I am still waiting for it, instead I received an unwarranted attempt to reopen the cancelled order and like so many others subsequently got ignored when trying to get the shop to live up to its end of the deal.

I have used you before for purchasing flight equipment as was previously satisfied, and I have used you again and have been thoroughly satisfied. The equipment was securely packaged, sent by courier and delivery internationally was within a few days only. Prices are very competitive and I would recommed you again.
After some confusion on my part I was able to have a full explanation from the managing director (a very nice man with good morals) my headset was delayed because of UPS and as this was an urgent requirement for my next flight the managing director contacted UPS to change the delivery to next day free of charge. I would have no reservations telling any of my friends to deal with them in the future. Thanks again. Stuart

I don't normally write online reviews, I don;t really read them, however Proviation deserves credit.
They are a professional operation, offer great prices, are well educated and passionate about the wide range of products they have for sale.
I have used them a number of times for personal items, and more recently for my business. We had connectivity issues with some of the equipment, which was comfortably resolved with the useful input of the people at Proviation, for better.
Went on line for some work shirts for my hubby and after scouring a few sites came across proviation. Price seemed good value with different options for delivery. I needed a speedy delivery and true to their word they delivered when I asked. The quality of the shirts was great. Will definitely order from them again.
Needed replacement headset delivered urgently prior to trip. Dave Clark showed in-stock on site so called to order- I was offered flexible delivery options to accomodate my requirements and the headset arrived the following morning on a timed delivery.

I went to this Company as I was buying myself a retirement present after 48 years working and saving. I found myself a Go Pro camera and rather than buy it via <external link removed> and the various traders on that site (many of which are totally trustworthy) I decided to go to what I thought was a an upstanding Company that seemed to endorse trust for its buyers. I was wrong.
After ordering and receiving an email to confirm my order I got an email to tell me that I would have to wait until the camera was in stock, possibly in April or May and that orders would be despatched based on a first come first served basis with no dates advising me when I might expect to receive my camera. I felt, that having paid out £374.45p, this was too much money to have paid out with no known date of receiving my camera. So I emailed them to cancel. That all seemed fine as I had confirmation and they would refund me. However, they said it would be 3-5 days before I got my refund. I was puzzled as I had paid via Paypal. I, however, waited, and when I checked my bank for some other details, I came across the payment being taken - on the day I cancelled! So I telephoned and did speak to a young woman who advised that she would sort it out but that it would take a few days. I waited again, nothing. I decided that I had little time left, as I paid via Paypal, but to action this as a dispute. I heard nothing immediately and then had an email from <private data removed> to tell me that there was a problem with Paypal who wanted to take the money from the bank account and if they did that it would be another 3-5 days and he was trying to sort it. I wrote back and told him I wasn't happy and that I wanted my money back immediately. I have heard nothing since. I have tried telephoning and apparently <private data removed> isn't available and they don't know where he is nor when he will be available but they would email him. I have sent another email explaining how distressed I am and how upset. Asking him how he would feel if someone did this to him.
If this was a small sum of money I might be feeling a little less upset but when you have laid out several hundred pounds and have nothing I am very very upset.
I feel the authorities should be involved in this kind of practice.
Will I see my money? I dont know. I am crying as I write this and also feeling extremely angry that, after all my care and consideration at how I shop, it has happened to me and for such a sum of my retirement money.
Proviation you should be thoroughly ashamed of yourself and your shoddy 'business' practices.
Firstly, the web pages showed product as "in stock", when it was not, which I find unacceptable. I chose Proviation precisely because the product was shown as in stock.
Ordered (Garmin GLO GPS receiver, £81), then 2 days later received email to say not in stock, and then another email to say further delay getting stock. All this time the website continues to show product as "in stock".
Made several phone calls to complain about stock misleading, and to discuss either a discount, or order cancellation. Was several times promised a call back, as the phone person could not make that decision, but was never called back. Several emails were not replied to.
In the end, I gave up, and phoned again, and cancelled order, and then ordered elsewhere. Received item from that supplier within 1 day.
Eventually received email from Proviation MD offering me a discount, but was then too late, as I'd already ordered elsewhere, sigh. Still, a nice touch.
Further problems: requested email confirmation of order cancellation, but never received any, and no sign of refund. Eventually had to open a Paypal complaint to get my money back. That did the trick, and now have my refund, today, almost 2 weeks after paying.
At the same time, received an apology from MD, which was nice, but it took a Paypal complaint case to get it.
I may just have been unlucky...
Since posting the review, I've had several emails from the Proviation MD, who has been very helpful, apologised repeatedly, and given me a gift voucher for a future order. That's good service.
I still have a quibble with the "in stock" label; it appears that they update this manually, and it doesn't always get updated when items go out of stock. I still find that unacceptable: if it isn't in stock, it *mustn't* say "in stock". This should of course be automated.
Perhaps it is, but if so something went badly wrong, since for quite a few days it was saying "in stock" when it wasn't.
I've added a star, but with the caveat that it took a poor review here, and a Paypal claim, to get any action, and the stock status issue is not ideal. But certainly the issue is now resolved satisfactorily.
I'll give them another go - to use my voucher :) - and report.
Update 2 - It belatedly occurs to me that perhaps their "Available from stock" does not really mean "in stock". I think it means "this item is one that we normally aim to keep in stock. So it probably is in stock, we don't know. If not, we will let you know at some point after you have ordered it". This as opposed to "this is not an item we normally keep in stock".
If so, that would be fair enough, were that well explained, but I didn't see anything to that effect. Had I done, I may not have ordered anyway...
But in this day and age, a website ought to be able to give an accurate "in stock" status, I feel, so it's still not ideal. But at least, were it explained clearly, it would be caveat emptor, and nothing to complain about.
