I purchased something that claimed was on stock, paid for it and never received it, The company does not have a phone number where you can call and make a claim and everytime I sent an em-mail asking for proof that my item was sent they would only reply they did send it and it was not their problem that I did not receive it. For the record I have made lots of online purchases to the same address with other sellers and never had a problem. So if you don{t want to pay for nothing... I would recommend not buying anything to these guys.
Don't purchase anything with this company! I've been waiting 2 weeks for a camera tripod I purchased from purelygadgets.co.uk - it's not marked as dispatched nor do they respond to emails - their phone has a recorded message saying they have 'technical issues' then hangs up on you.
I've reported them to BBC's Watchdog as recommended by another poster here. Beware!
UPDATE 8th Feb - I received an email telling me that they would refund my payment - over 7 business days later I am still waiting - beware of this 'company'!
UPDATE 5th March - still no refund or contact from purelygadgets...
Purely Gadgets respond retively quickly to emails but when screen went on Sony Ericsson phone after 3 months it took them 4 months to fix it and send me what I thought was my original phone fixed. When I turned it one there were 3 Chinese contacts and none of my original apps so of which I had paid for. It wouldn't back itself up from the pc and so I had to result to manually inputting contacts. That does not work either. Purely Gadgets say that I am wrong. It is my original phone and that my original issue has been fixed. Yes my screen works but now I cannot use the phone as I did before. Who wants a mobile phone which doesn't hold any contacts, cannot sync with your pc and has a Chinese based system which causes all manner of issues when you try to text! What a waste of money and time.
We bought a Nokia Lumia 900 from Tesco Direct who passed the purchase to purelygadgets.co.uk. After 1 month the telephone developed a fault and broke down.
Instructed to return to purelygadgets who have since broken all communication links. We have been unable to contact them, get no responses to emails and Tesco Direct will have nothing further to do with the sale.
Do not throw away your money because they will take and you will receive nothing in return.

I like many others who have reviewed this company am awaiting the full refund I am entitled to for an order that I cancelled when the company could not confirm a despatch date. I implore everyone who has had bad customer service with this company to highlight their predicament to http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/gotastory/ who if enough people highlight the ineptness of this company would not hesitate to run a story on them.
Ordered a phone through the Tesco website in September and paid over £250. Was told it would be delivered in 3 - 5 days.
To date, no phone and no refund, despite numerous calls and emails both to PurelyGadgets and Tesco Direct, who basically aren't interested as long as they're getting their fees for putting this company on their website.
As of yesterday, the phone was still showing as 'In Stock' on their website and a Sales Hotline operator assured me that it was in stock, ready for delivery in 3 - 5 days!
DO NOT RISK GIVING YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY OF FRAUDSTERS!
I ordered an iPad3 and purchased at Tesco in Camberley. They told me it would be delivered on 29 October. I took the day off work and waited in for the arrival. Little did I know that it although it was purchased in store, the order was placed with Purely Gadgets. I phoned to complain and Tesco told me I had to deal with Purely Gadgets. They kept promising to deliver but the iPad still hasn't arrived. Now mysteriously they phone system to the customer support team has a technical fault and has this for the past 3 days.
All I want is my money back!!!! Take heed - do not use Tesco Direct or Purely Gadgets.
i purchased a mobile phone for my daughter in feb 2012,in october the phone would not let her get past the home home,so i contacted the seller Purely gadgets, they emailed me to say i could return the phone for either a repair or replacement,so i sent the phone back recorded delivery.a few days later a recieved an email from purely gadgets to say the have recieved the phone & it is with the technicians,a few more days went passed & i had not heard from them so i emailed them again, they replied saying that the phone had been sent back to the maufacturers!!!! & thsi process couls take upto 28 working days, now if i had known this would be the case i would never had purchased the phone via amzon market place,i,ve tried ringing purely gagets & now there phones are down this is not good at all i am paying a mobile phone contract that my daughter can nolonger use, please stay well clear of this company, the prices might be good but there service is diabolical.
What this company is doing is criminal.
You order an item and pay for it - says in stock but isnt.
They wipe off your order but dont tell you.
You enquire whats going on they offer an alternative or refund
You choose the refund option.
They say 3-5 days to process
ALL LIES I have waited a month for a refund. ans still not got it.
They say there is a technical fault with their refund system _ bull****!!
They now tell me to seek the refund from my credit card issuer.
Surely this can't be legal.
I think they're about to go to the wall probably with a lot of peoples money

II was redirected to purelygadgets from tesco website. The company might be going to administration. Order placed two weeks ago and still no sign of delivery. Calls answered in more than 20 min and no resonable answer just "we have a backlog with order and cannot give you aproximate time of delivery" Stay away
Ordered a Nook reader - listed as "in stock". Apparently not so. Money were drawn from my account. After one week I contacted them, and was told that they had a delay in their warehouse but would probably ship next week. One week later they said that they were prioritizing back orders and they could not say when next shipment would be in. (essentially they sold an item not in their possession). Another week later I requested them to hold on to the order but return my money - an after a few days the item was shipped - magically!
OK - it arrived, but I'll never go back.
I wish I had read reviews of Purely Gadgets before ordering through Tesco Direct. An order for Samsung Galaxy Nexus phone placed on 28 September is sitll marked 'to be dispatched. I cancelled the order on 11th October as it was destined for a birthday on 13th. I am still waiting for a refund.
Tesco Direct should be ashamed to be associated with this company. I am not impressed with Tesco Direct shifting the responsibility to the customer when things go wrong.
There should be the option of selecting 0 stars for such lack of customer service.

You can find similar stories of the #instockfraud by PG in many places on the web.
I ordered the Samsung Galaxy 3 from Purely Gadgets via Tesco website. PG claimed SG3 is in stock and delivery in 2-5 days. 2 weeks later the order status is still "processing". The stock status is a lie (told none available by PG on phone) and that seems fraudulent to me. From other reviews it seems this is common practice at PG. And they are still showing SG3 in stock despite telling me different by phone.
They also say "Top 3 Reasons Why You Should Buy From US: ... In stock means in stock, and quick trackable delivery." That statement together with phone advice from PG that SG3 is still not available seems to me to be evidence of intent to deceive.
I've had several conflicting updates from PG on when I will get my SG3 but I'm still waiting.
I was told that they would change the stock status for SG3, but a week later and it is still showing "in stock". They just seem to say what customer wants to hear and then do something different.
Even the phone support system lies - told me wait is less than one minute and then kept me for 15 mins before I hung up. And I was later told by phone support that I would be called by their management to explain - that never happened.
It all seems like a litany of lies from Purely Gadgets, so I would recommend you find a reputable vendor for spending your gadget cash.

Just do yourself a favor and dont use them. There are other ways to get what you need. I took a silly risk by using them. Its the same woman who picks up the calls all the time, and she does not sound in anyway reliable and convincing of her claims that the dispatch will be made. Its been almost two weeks, and she still says she is yet to get word from the warehouse about dispatch date. Bollocks! Dont use them..

DID NOT FULFILL ORDER. Taking orders when they don't have the items in stock, resulting in me not having a birthday present for my partners Birthday today!
All I can say is I will be AVOIDING them at all costs.

Ordered an Xperia Sola phone (good price), showing "in stock". Credit card was charged the same day.
Received email saying to expect 2-5 working day delivery.
Order showed "Processing" on their web site.
Next working day, no change to order status. Called to confirm status and was assured that would be dispatched next working day.
Next working day, no change to order status. Called to confirm status and (after waiting in 1 hour queue for answer) was told that could not be dispatched until at least 4 working days' time.
Cancelled order (minimum 2-3 working days to - hopefully - refund).
In summary - don't trust "in stock" and don't expect much in the way of customer service.

Do NOT use this site. Very bad costumers service.

Poor communication, poor service, poor website, no dispatch.
Unable to use Google pay via their website, unable to track order online, i received no email confirmation of order.
Had to ring every few days to get a status update, after nine working days they had not dispatched due to a large backlog. I had to chase them constantly, no proactive communication of this to me. When I did speak to them I was continually told dispatch would take place next week.
Not the 3-5 working days described on their website, lost confidence they were a legitimate company, eventually gave up and cancelled order.

After ordering a new MP3 player from purelygadgets last week, there was absolutely no progress made with the delivery of this.
After a week of the order status remaining "processing", despite the site clearly stating a 3-5 working day delivery, I got in contact with their customer service department.
It turned out that they had a large backlog on this particular product I had ordered, and that once these had been cleared, they wouldn't have any left in stock and weren't expecting to have any any time soon. This is despite the item page clearly stating it is still in stock (and still showing as in stock right now).
There was no effort to contact me about this issue before I had got in contact with them, despite it going over the estimated delivery date with no progress made whatsoever.

Received faulty item. As was a gift did not know till gift opened as gift. Despite contacting PG within warrenty period and being assured that they would cover the cost of returning item (£20), they then refused to pay return postage as received item outside of warrentee period despite finding the item was faulty.
Would never use them again.

I ordered a Sony Ericsson Mobile Phone. It arrived unsealed and the screen protector creased. I decided the text on screen was far too small for me to read comfortably. I asked to return it and I had to agree to a restocking fee of £15 deducted from the refund. The reason given for this fee was that the phone had been opened, and there were marks on the battery case lid. I pointed out that the phone box was unsealed and was told that sometimes this was done to check the contents. I had to send several emails and write a letter to Tesco.
The purchase was made on 1/5/12 via Tesco Direct Website. I have only just received the refund of £85 on 20/6/12.via Tesco Direct.
Tesco Direct is excellent when buying direct from them and I will use them again but not from any third party allowed to trade on the Tesco Site.
I am suprised Tesco are accepting other traders to use their site which in my opinion deprecates the name of TESCO.

A very easy purchase with no problems, the only thing that could be improved is delivery time; it only took 2 days, but next day would have been better! ;)
An all in all very nice experience. A shop with a good selection and snappy expedition.
They were cheaper than Amazon, but give just as good a service (Nikon D3200).
When I rang them up, they dealt with my issue quickly and efficiently. When I ordered the wrong item, I sent it back and was refunded efficiently (I had to pay postage).
Their delivery company (DPD) predict delivery times to within the hour. The day before they send an email with an hour slot for delivery - you can easily re-organise delivery if you can't be in.
I can't praise them highly enough.
Customer service very helpful, very pleased with everything. Fast delivery. Will shop here again
I ordered a new phone from PurelyGadget, but needed it fairly quickly. I contacted PurelyGadgets customer service after the dispatch time was set to a week. That day they adjusted my order and dispatched it that day and I received it the next day.
A fantastic company who do put their customers first.
Thanks PurelyGadget :)
I ordered a PhotoFast i-FlashDrive via Amazon.co.uk on 1st May in the afternoon, the price was good, and I received an e-mail from Amazon to tell me the product would be delivered between 5th and 10th March. The product arrived, securely packed, on 2nd May in the morning. And the product is good... Excellent, Thank you!
Ordered from their Amazon store. The item was at a good price. It arrived a week after I odered by recorded delivery. Very happy with my purchase and I'm glad I chose to buy from here. No problems :)
Ordered pianomeastro late on Sunday evening - from the secure website. Price was cheapest by £30! Received well wrapped parcel Wednesday lunchtime - purelygadgets sent me regular e-mail and sms updates - keeping me informed every step of the way - offering alternative times and dates if those I had initially chosen were not convenient. THIS IS HOW SHOPPING SHOULD BE!!! Brilliant experience - I look forward to being a repeat customer - thank you. Bj the dj www.bestdjsonline.com
Ordered from them at 2pm, despite saying 2 to 3 day delivery it arrived the following morning which was fantastic. Cheapest price too by a long way and product arrived very well packaged. Will definitely use again.
My phone was dispatched quite quickly. Delivery details were emailed which I found very helpful. So far so good.
A very positive experience with a company I was not familiar with. The HTC phone they offered was the best price on the internet and arrived within 3 days.
Ordered a new phone that is not normally on sale in the UK. Purelygadgets was the best price on the net. However the service was superb. Item was in stock as stated and sent next day delivery. The courier company used (DPD) then sent an email the next morning advising the 1 hour window in which the driver would arrive. It was bang on time.
Very impressed and would certainly use them again.
They may be cheap, but I will never do business with this company again as it took them seven weeks to do a simple warranty repair and they had the nerve to decline initially refunding my postage.
Great website, great prices, very helpful communications, good packing and very fast delivery here to Malta.
Great Job.
Very happy with the service from purelygadgets.co.uk ordered a phone on 21 st jan to be delivered to Spain and recieved it 6 days later ! very impressed.would recommend co.
Very quick confirmation and communications, answered my enquiry within hours. Rapid despatch and delivery. I loved the one hour time slot given, which was kept to by DPD.
Oh, and best price on the Internet!
Item delevered next day with no problems.
Can't comment on customer services as I have had no reason to contact them.
