The excellent star ratings are all fake and complete and utter lies. This company ceased trading and if they continue to state that they are in business then they should be investigated for fraud as they stole money from customers citing that they were in financial difficulties. Therefore, they should not be operating UNLESS they return all the monies they recieved. This company took my money and failed to deliver my goods. They did not return phonecalls and their response was rude and arongant. Thankfully one could afford to handle the loss and purchase £8000 work of NEFF appliances elsewhere however, some people are in a less fortunate position which is saddening for them.
Bought a chest freezer on line excellent web site easy ordering and payment Good communications on time delivery with prior notification of delivery time. Would recommend and will definitely be using this company again.
Placed a order and paid with debit card for Miele fridge and Miele freezer on the 15/01/2013, delivery day approached got a email saying product not in stock. Asked for a refund told 5/7 days, money would be refunded. Two weeks later nothing, no phone calls, no emails. Tried to ring, phone line problems, sent email saying I would be taking legal action, received a reply saying gone into liquidation. Criminals, all I can say, I am disgusted.
This company has had our money for a Miele freezer since the beginning of January. They originally said they would deliver within 10 days, and I have made repeated calls to them. Two 'delivery dates' went by with no freezer arriving, each time there was an excuse. I rang again this week, first twice got the answerphone in the middle of the day, then someone answered and said that it would be in on Friday and delivered on Saturday, and they would email with delivery time. I asked if there were financial problems as the online number for the parent company, Raff Radio, was unobtainable and the guy laughed and said he hoped not and that the other showroom was closed years ago and that was the number I'd tried..
Today is Saturday. No email, no freezer, their answerphone has been on all day and I've just read the preceding review. Words fail me.
I placed an order on 4th of Feb and tried chasing them up the last few days. No answer. So I drove from Addlestone Surrey to their Redhill showroom.... Big iron gates over their windows with a big "For Sale" sign above the door. Thought I better check out their other showroom in Croydon so drove there. Unmanned and locked, another guy tried going in as well while I called my bank from outside.
Call your bank and put a claim in, scum of the earth that would take your money then go bust.
If you can, please post on twitter to get the word out to others.
It takes 15 days for your bank to make a claim, that was with my debit card.
I have had much the same experience as the last few bad reviews. Placed an order for 2 items through Redhill about 2 months ago totalling £1200 and still haven't received anything. Was due a delivery about 10 days ago, which was canceled. Was re scheduled for Wednesday (3 days ago) nothing turned up and no phone call to inform me at all. I tried contacting them on both numbers (distribution warehouse in Redhill and showroom in Croydon), the Redhill one says they are closed and the Croydon one just goes through to answer phone (which is full). There website states that there is a fault with there phone, but as I have had no reply to my emails (which could surely be accessed and replied to via an external computer by one of the staff) I seriously doubt this! Poor show Redhill Appliances! Will be cancelling my order and getting my money back via my bank/cc. Anyone thinking of making a purchase through these guys, please proceed with extreme caution! The prices may look enticing, but the service certainly is not! Especially over the last few weeks, by the looks of things. Is this a downward trend???
Do not buy from this company - ordered a kitchen appliance on 7th Jan 13 website stated it was in stock and would be available in 7-10days. 10 days later no order arrived I chased weekly to be given a whole load of excuses as to why the goods were not in stock and promised several new delivery dates. After 6 weeks of frustration and still no order I insisted on a refund, I was told 7-10days. You've guessed it ! 10days later no refund..... This is now with dispute via my credit card company. My advise steer well clear of this firm, save yourself the stress and hassle...
I have to say that the one star is a complete exaggeration as I can only describe this company as disgraceful. We ordered 3 kitchen appliances from them and were given a delivery schedule of 7-10 working days. They refused to accept our early order as they did not want these appliances to 'hang around' in their storage area. It took the best part of five weeks (25 working days) to get all of our appliances from them which started to appear after 18 days and came in three separate deliveries. This company never contacted us to give us any information as to why we haven't had our order and when our order was due and despite many phone calls from us to ascertain the exact status of our order we never received any phone calls or emails back from them. On five occasions I requested to speak to a director/manager of the company but none of them could be bothered to ring me. During one of my phone calls when I was simply trying to get a rough idea of what day & time my hob was likely to be turning up at my house I was told by one of their staff "you're getting it this afternoon. What is your problem?" Their communications with us were absolutely disgusting. This is the worst and rudest company I have ever had the mis-pleasure of dealing with. Do yourselves a favour, spend a few quid more and go to a decent outlet.
Ordered an large kitchen appliance from them in NOVEMBER 2012. Will be 4 months in a weeks time.
I heard so many tales through out this time from them, a new excuse every time i called (i made over 20 calls).
Requested a refund, was told to wait 7-10 days, after 10 days i didnt get my money back. So i called back and was told to wait a further 30 days.
Customer service is TERRIBLE barin in mind there is only like 2 people who work on the phones, a female and a male, where majority of the time you would come across the guy who is moody and laughs at you when your asking for reasons, and in one case shut the phone on me.
Just to let ppl know you do not need to have paid with a credit card to recover your money through the bank. I paid with a debit card, and called my bank to explain to them what had happened so they said ok dont call them any more we will deal with them and you will have the money in your account in 30 days by us. 2 weeks later my bank contacted me to inform that they have agreed to make the refund directly. And then for the first time ever i received a email from redhill for the refund.
So dont wait for months just call your bank, They will give them the pressure
Just the same experience as many others - and not resolved yet. Had bought successfully a couple of times in the past but it seems like a different business. Still waiting for my dishwasher after 7 weeks. Have been promised call-backs 3 times, which never happened. Am pretty sure I will need to go to a Section 75 to get my money back now. I don't know what's really going on here - maybe they are on the way out like Comet and are struggling to manage?
A cautionary tale for those who are considering buying something from this company:
1. 05.12.12 Day 1. Went on Redhill Appliances' website. Two dishwashers in stock of the model I wanted. Ordered one. 2. 06.12.12 Day 2.Voicemail message, "Not in stock, on order from supplier. Delivery 7-10 days." 3. 07.12.12 Day 3. Money taken from my credit card. 4. 19.12.12 Day 15. 12 days after voicemail promise. No dishwasher and no word from Redhill Appliances. Telephoned. “Er, we’ve had a delivery today but your order is not in the consignment. Delivery won’t be until the New Year.” I replied, “This is most disappointing, I’m cancelling the order.” “OK, can you put that in writing?” I e-mailed confirmation. Bought from John Lewis. 48-hour delivery. 5. 20.12.12 Day 16. Telephoned Redhill to enquire about my refund, spoke to “Graham”. “I’m arranging a refund for you now.” 6. 29.12.12 Day 25. No refund. Telephoned Redhill, spoke to “Adam”. “Cancellation received 21.12.12, we’ll refund within 5-7 days. We do have up to 30 days from the date of cancellation.” This is correct as confirmed in Redhill’s terms and conditions on their website. However, it irked. Afterall, it took only 48 hours to remove money from my credit card account. 7. 22.01.13 Day 48. No refund. Telephoned Redhill, spoke to “Thomas”. “Refund in 3-5 days.” 8. 29.01.13 Day 55. No refund. 10:02 hours, telephoned Redhill, spoke to “Thomas”. “Can you put everything in writing?” he asked. “No.” I replied, “I already have and you confirmed receipt on December 29 2012.” “OK, I’ll get the manager to telephone you.” 9. 29.01.13 Day 55 15:00 hours. No return call from manager. Telephoned. Spoke to “Adam”. “Refund was actioned this morning, it will be with you within-3-5 days.” 10. 31.01.13 Day 57. Refund in my credit card account.
So, after some six broken promises and six telephone calls to Redhill - none of which were returned, my refund was made nine days after the legal maximum that Redhill acknowledge on their website. Do you want to buy from them . . . ?
I ordered a dishwasher before Christmas. RA rang me back almost immediately to say it wasn't in stock and they couldn't guarantee pre-Christmas delivery. I asked whether I would regret ordering now if they had post-Christmas sales. They offered a 5% discount if I would wait until New Year for delivery. I agreed and placed the order. I wish I had read the reviews of the company before placing the order. When I read the reviews I looked elsewhere, found the machine I wanted at a cheaper price with next day delivery at Appliances Online so cancelled the order with RA. Despite several 'phone calls and at least three categorical assurances that they had paid my refund it has yet to appear and it is now beyond the 30-days from cancellation that they are given. Dealings with them are always polite and they are apologetic but the reality is they tell lies and, as other reviewers have noted, they break the law.
This is my second large white good appliance brought from Redhill Appliances in the last twelve months. I simply cannot rate this company high enough on every aspect of service. Price is extremely competitive, as is the overall level of service and communication. Delivery was very efficient (date and time slot). I would not hesitate to purchase further items from the company and would encourage my friends and family to do likewise.
I ordered a few items from this company over a couple of different orders, as one of my key items was good value and they had all the items I wanted listed. None of the items came together, and on the first order one item was delayed. On the second order, I had to chase when the items would be delivered to be told that one of my items was out of stock. the others were delivered and after a month, I chased the outstanding item. It still was not in stock and therefore I asked for a refund to get it elsewhere. Three weeks on I am still waiting for the refund, despite chasing. There are better and quicker companies out there.
