Excellent and prompt service - nice product
I purchased chess pieced and board recently - arrived promptly and well packaged and protected thuogh the post. Board excellent and pieces well crafted and nicely weighted. Only criticism was box for pieced not lined with felt as shown on website and rather small - making replacing the pieces an excercise in steric packing.
Overall well pleased with my purchase however..

Amazing board and amazing service!

Great service, speed of delivery very good even on standard delivery, product excellent. Due to robust packaging don't expect to get into the parcel quickly!

First class service from order to delivery
The Lewis mini chess set is a delight. Just the right size for my chessboard, the detail in the pieces for their small to average size is very good indeed, they are beautifully crafted. The service from The Regency Chess Company was second to none. The chess set arrived promptly in a lovely display box, (not that they'll be spending much time in the box) which was well packaged.

Excellent service and and a beautiful chess set
My initial impression of the Regency Chess Co was how well laid out their website is. It was extremely intuitive to navigate through the various products on offer and compare and contrast them. After days of agonising over which chess set and board to go for, I placed an order. The delivery was timely (1 day is a fast turnaround), the packaging great, and the chess set of a stunning quality - I hope it will last me for a long time. I would definitely recommend them - great value for money.

Fantastic service, lovely product! Recommended!!!
Bought for my 40th Birthday, my first what I'd call "Proper/Nice" Chess set, and a lovely set it is! A nice big board that compliments the pieces beautifully. The pieces themselves are also stunning, with consistency and uniformity throughout, complemented by a lovely weighted feel. More than pleased with this set, I would thoroughly recommend it! Excellent service throughout, and I shall definitely be buying again. A massive Thank You to Julian and all at Regency Chess!

Fantastic Gift
I recently bought an Isle of Lewis Chess Set for my boyfriend as a surprise for his birthday.
I wanted to get him something that he would treasure and could use for many years to come – I wasn’t disappointed.
I rang the staff and discussed postage, price, and the range on offer and I was given great advice on all.
The set arrived the next day, and it was fantastic.
The quality is excellent and my Boyfriend was very pleased.
I would recommend Regency to anyone wanting a treasure of their own.

Superb quality product, beyond expectations
Having disappointed my partners birthday with buying a chess set from a local shop for similar price which turned out to be of poor quality with chipped wood. I belatedly purchased online. The item was quickly received and of outstanding quality. Would recommend to anyone.

Son's Joy
I bought a Lewis Chess set for my chess set collecting son. He's wanted one for ages and I needed to make up for buying him a second Waterloo set at Christmas. The website was easy to use and the chess set was delivered very promptly in great packaging. I was really pleased at the quality and my son was over the moon as I don't normally spend so much on his birthday. Given the quality and the size, the cost was reasonable and. actually less than Amazon!!

Prompt, Safe and Wonderful.
As an avid competitive chess player it was decided that I should have a good quality set to keep for the for the future as an 18th birthday present. As it was I ended up choosing a set from the clearance range as it had the set of pieces that I liked the most out of the choices on on the website.
Needless to say the Chess set arrived in less than a few days from ordering and is wonderful in every respect. The damage shown in the pictures was hardly noticeable, and I'd go so far as to say virtually non existent. What they say about the pieces looking better than the stunning photos is true and the pieces themselves are of exceptional quality.
The P+P is very good, with the board and pieces padded out with lots of paper in the massive shipping box. The pieces were each wrapped individually in bubble wrap and then all stored together in a relatively sturdy sealed plastic box. And the board was in a plastic wrapper inside a cardboard box with plastic corner protectors. Additionally I was notified by email when the order had been placed, processed and dispatched, with a follow up email to check everything is ok. In other words, an entirely appropriate number of times of contact.
The prices are a bit on the higher end of the scale, however if you are looking for quality to last, this is where to go and for those who wish to soften the blow a little, the discount voucher code I found online worked fine and went through no problem.
All in all I highly recommend this company, not only for the quality of products, but the swift and practical service provided. 10 out of 10.

IMPRESSED!
Arrived when i expected it to and fabulous quality chess set! I really love this set, it looks great! I would have have given it 4 1/2 stars and took off half a star because the pieces are lighter than i expected, this may be personal preference though. Would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone looking for a good quality set!

A Problem Solved!
I bought a chess set for my nephew’s birthday from The Regency Chess Company and paid for the express next day delivery. There was a problem with the shipping – as sometimes happens – I received a phone call explaining the mistake, and despite it being Good Friday the set was delivered the next day, in time! A hiccup – but very well dealt with!

Ah... yes, I am sorry about this. The couriers took the set to the wrong part of the country, not what we need when next day delivery is required, thankfully this sort of thing is pretty rare.

Excellent product and service
The British Walnut and Sheesham Staunton chess set is really well made, the pieces are nicely weighted and very tactile. The board is good and solid and very attractive. Everything arrived very well packaged and amazingly quickly. I think for the price this is an excellent product and I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.
