It was easy to rent the car from internet and suddenly we got much better car than I expected. The service was proffessional and fast and everything went smootly. There was transportation waiting for us in the airport when we arrived and we got a lift also for departure. Personnel was frienly and I felt myself safe with them. For sure I would and will use there services during my next journey.
All that was needed for two of us for a week. Only problem was the front windscreen wiper which needed replacing - actually made it harder to see and not good when first arriving in a wet Malta when unfamiliar with roads. No one was at the drop off point to notify about this.
friendly staff, efficient and welcoming.... I took out Smart Coice cover which was included (as I was the second driver) for $20 extra per day and THANK GOD I did as I side swiped a guard rail (long story) and damaged the side door quite badly. EVEN THEN the staff were nice to me and I didn't have to pay any excess. Will definitely use them again and again and again!
I booked a hire car for one day. I turned up to pick up the car and I was told there had been a mistake and that the car was 7 miles away. No apologies or alternatives given - complete incompetence with a take it or leave it attitude. I could not accept this and had to make alternative arrangements as I had to be in Birmingham at an appointed time. Having contacted rental cars by e-mail, I was then informed that a specialist had to be assigned to investigate and that once someone is available it could take up to 28 days to resolve. In the meantime I am informed that my booking was cancelled and that I am not due any refund. I have now been reimbursed my rental fee but I have asked why this happened in the first place and what guarantee can I get that it won't happen again. To date there has been no reply.
The booking made was very easy and convenience, it was very good for them to offer me an upgrade before we went on the trip from Toyota Altis to Honda Civic, but the down side is that the Honda Civic provided was not to my expectation. Beside that everything was fine.
I recently spent a week in Texas and rented a Chev Tahoe thru Thrifty at Dallas fort Worth airport, what an easy and painfree way to hire a car!. The rental centre is located about 5 miles south of the airport and is reached on a shuttle bus which run every 5 minutes, the driver was courteous and helped with my bags, once there the Thrifty desk was well sign posted and only a short walk from the bus stop. The Thrifty counter staff were really friendly and had my ( prebooked ) rental agreement ready in minutes, they showed my how to use my GPS and surprised my with an upgrade from my Jeep to the Tahoe for no extra cost. When I got out to the car lot a lovely young lady walked over to the car and drove it over to where I waited and even offered to help load my bags!!, talk about customer service!. After my week in Texas I drove back to DFW, and was surprised how easy it was to find the rental centre and dehire the car, at the dehire point the staff were again friendly & helpfull and wouldnt even let me take my rubbish out of the car!, " we can do that for you " was the response when I began picking it up, the scanning system they use meant a quick and easy departure and then a short walk from there back into the rental terminal and onto a shuttle bus up to the airport. I will definitely use Thrifty again if travelling thru DFW.
Hired car without any problems or delays at desks, when leaving car back took less than 5 minutes. Mother in law did not complain once about it and that made my life so easy. Would recommend this for a hazzle free trip.
This was my second experience of using Goldcar and the service and quality of car has improved considerably. I was impressed by the quality and condition of the vehicle and also by the ease of booking. My initial reasons for using Goldcar were because of value for money and I would recommend them to any friend.
If you will be lucky to get a good car-rental-company at your destination, you may have a nice deal with rentalcars.com. But if you're car-rental-company cheats you - you will have to pay even though you have had regulated things by contract with rentalcars.com. In my case, we ordered a car with automatic transmission, aircon etc. but did not get that in our holiday destination. We had a lot of troubles in general to get a functioning car - there were 2 changes necesseary! Discussing with the car-rental did not bring results. So I contacted rentalcars.com after my holidays. But instead of getting at least refund by them I only got the answer to "get in contact with the carrental at the holiday destination" - which is in fact impossible over a distance of 12'000 km (~7'456 miles)!! So my personal lesson out of this and my advice to everyone: NEVER AGAIN booking via rentalcars.com. I have lost about 600 US$ ... It's kind of anoying! La prestation était vraiment bonne. A un détail prêt, le GPS TomTom était vraiment mauvais, pas intuitif, ne permettait pas d'avoir accès facilement aux informations. Et le prix annoncé sur le site était de 4e alors que nous avons payé 9,71.
rien a dire sur le déroulement. l'auto neuve et agréable (308 hdi bien que le 1.2 thp aurai été préférable). le seul point noir.... il manquait 1/4 du réservoir et l’agence (avis) avait noté le plein. étant pressé je ne suis pas retourné le signalé a l’agence mais c'est dommage de perdre des étoiles pour cela. je relouerai en passant par se site.
