I found the service fantastic and when we returned the car in early evening
the young lady who booked us out on arrival was just coming on duty .She
actually recognised us and asked about our holiday , you do not get a service like that in many places now and i would recommend this car hire firm to anyone flying to oporto.
overall it was nice price in the beginning. However, the online system has an error to show my pick up place as "airport" even though I selected the port as a pick up place. I know that my order status can be edited through online yet when I attempted to do it the changes haven't been saved and kept showing "airport."
when i emailed customer center what I got from them was i needed to create new order which was double or triple price because it was only two days before the day and auto transmission car has even higher premium!!! the customer center offered me 137 euros per day option in exchange of my previous reservation with 60 euros.
i had to call to the office in Mykonos directly (the customer center was run by the online service company in UK) and they don't know about the logistics of the online reservation yet what they can offer is a delivery service from airport to port at a cost of 10 euros. I mentioned about this is your error yet it seemed the reservation system is a different company and they even didn't know all rental car company doesn't have office in port - if the guy from National told truth.
You guys have to change the online system into not showing different option for a pick up location because there is only one option airport.
I think you should only have to pay the amount of fuel used we returned the car with more than a quarter of a tank also charged vat on the fuel and hire of a child's car seat I thought vat was already on fuel when you pay at the pumps 170 Euros on top rental of car a bit steep for a week

Sono assolutamente incompetenti, in caso giungano problematiche durante l'autonoleggio inizia il calvario, ti promettono il rimborso e poi spariscono nel nulla, tu chiedi spiegazioni e ti viene detto che il collega che ti ha seguito nella pratica non era altro che una risposta automatica, ergo perdi tempo ad inviare documentazione, fare chiamate, inviare mail e loro ti prendono in giro. Da evitare assolutamente, davvero molto deluso. Non ci si comporta così.
We took the excess waiver option when we booked with your company, and was told that if we were in a accident it takes to long with your option, they made us pay excess waiver again, or otherwise they were going to hold 2000 euro from us.
Next time we will book directly with the car company, as this has ended up costing us more money than we expected.
Pickup was described as Lancaster downtown. It was 3 miles away from the train station on an industrial estate and took the taxi driver 10 minutes of enquiries to find it. would have helped if I'd known it was Europcar I was looking for.
Europcar's piuck up was away from the station. 35 mins walking., As it was raining we used a taxi. The car was modern and very nice, but had not been cleaned as well as it should have been. Te erental guy was not terribly helpful to us in getting out of Blois. He didn't give us a map or write down how to get fron the industrial estate were on to the centre of town. We eventualy got out of the town - but no thanks to him, really. I'd use the place again now I know where it is, but I'd much rather find somewhere next to Blois ra9ilway station.
I found this crowd to be friendly, courteous and helpful. It doesn't make the wheels go round but it sure is a pleasant introduction. We had a Ford Focus; it was new and clean and a real pleasure to drive. If you should ever need a no-nonsense good vehicle then I would recommend these folks. Regards, Cedric
Go out from arrivals, look at car rental and find the desk, present your voucher, few minutes of explanation and than you have the key to go.
Car it is parked in the place, you just go, study for few minutes the new car and the new cockpit and than you can go.....
When coming back just full in the tank, clean the car from paper or other personal belongings and than look for checkout man acceptance, just 5 minutes and the operation it is done.

I thought the service was second to none. Very speedy, clear directions. The only area where I was a little disappointed was with the car itself. I opted for an A3 or similar but recieved a VW Golf. I drive a VW Golf at home and opted for a more superior car whilst holidaying. I do not consider the golf to be on the same level as the A3, may be a bmw 1 series or a Mercedez A class but certainly not a vw. I could have had a ford focus for less, I consider the golf to be more suited to this class
It would have been perfect otherwise. I will more than likely book again but not bother opting for a superior car unless you can guarantee thats what I recieve
Booking was all confirmed, car was fine but we, along with every other person in the queue in front of us to collect the vehicles had all been apparently 'conned' by paying extra to have inclusive insurance when on check in we were told all this was was actually an insurance with rentalcars.com that they would refund the excess 2 months later if we had an accident but actually Goldcar would also charge us a £250 administration fee if we had to claim which rentalcars.com would not refund. We had to pay an additional 120 euros on arrival for 'real' all inclusive insurance & believe me, driving in Italy you MUST this out, you are practically run off the road every time you venture out - not for the fainthearted or inexperienced driver!

We drove around in a smart new Hyundai that was fuel efficient and really easy to drive around in. I would be very happy to use this company again.
On paper work stated had collision waiver cover according to staff did not have so had to pay £56.00 more good deal now turns into bad deal. Told brand new fiesta no damage got to car three big scratches had to go back to desk to sort this nobody looked just had to mark on form where marks were. On return parked up got ticket went to desk told once ticket and keys handed in their responsibility. I did not damage the car in any way but it would make more sense if the staff went to check and not just sit at a desk.

I was charged for various hidden fees:
contract, fuel refill (even if you return full).
The car was ok, no complaint for the price i paid.
Still awaiting my fee back (i dont understand why i need to leave a fee when i make a take the no excess insurance)
Although the service has been great but one thing we found lacking is the lack of information handed out when collecting the car. No maps, directions on how to get to a point anywhere as a start. We were left to our own devices as the ladies employed have other clients to handle & therefore cannot expect this service but as I have hired many vehicles from various car rental organisations around the world including this one where they have all supplied maps of the area minimum without having to be asked as this was the norm. This unfortunately did cause a sour taste to say the least but have learnt a lesson in that when next we travel & hire a vehicle we will make sure from the outset what is offered form the rental company as far as maps go. Never the less had a wonderful time

The overall service was good but the staff member on pick up told me to deliver the car back empty. I discovered on querying this with staff at car depot that this was one of two options. I would be charged a considerable amount for doing this compared with the actual cost of a full tank of petrol. I considered this very deceptive and if this was company policy then I would not use this company again on principle.
I had rented from Hertz, Phuket Airport before, so I knew exactly where their desk was. Others would have to look around a little bit as only one car rental company has a prime spot. The desk staff had my reservation and pointed out that they would be withholding an amount against my credit card, which, again, I was aware of but maybe not everyone else understands the policy. Similar to a hotel where an amount is held against your credit card. Someone escorted me to my vehicle which was right outside the terminal building pointing out all the scratches (including the ones I hadn't noticed) and also that the gas tank was full. It was pointed out that I just had to phone Hertz when I had almost reached the airport and their representative would be awating for me at the departure area which was great for offloading luggage and checking in. I will use them again.
On arrival we were offered a "tip"to upgrade to a newer bigger car for a few euros extra. He was very friendly but on returning the car he was different. Though the desk was open he informed me that I would have to come back in 10 minutes because his colleague still had to come. Very short and to the point - it was hard to believe this was the same friendly man that had tipped us. Later he regained his customer friendly composure so let's just say he probably had a bad or sleepless night.
I was offered the opportunity to purchase a tank of petrol at a more reasonable price so I wouldn't have to top it up before returning (otherwise I would pay double). I knew I wouldn't use a whole tank so I didn't take the deal. I was warned very strongly that I must return the car completely completely full otherwise they would charge me.
When driving back there was a petrol station 20miles from the airport but I thought that I would get charged if I drove an extra 20miles on the full tank so decided to wait for one at the airport. Of course there wasn't one in sight. I considered driving on, as I could see there was a service station 10miles in the other direction however given the car was dirty when I received it I couldn't see why I should make the extra effort for them when the company clearly hadn't made the extra effort for me. I figured that out of goodwill they would offer me the lower petrol price given they had given me a dirty (white so shows worse) car. Of course they didn't and charged my £38 for just over 1/4 tank in a car that costs around that to fill entirely.
Not impressed with their attitude to customer service.
Feel confident that you'll get what you want in a car and when you want it. Be aware that pick up is a first to do when arriving because this car hire is popular.

I thought I had paid for extra insurance but on pick up was told I had only paid third party. The deal of E6 a day for full insurance was a must in my book and the best thing about it was that the car did not need to be checked when returned.
Great company to hire from, when looking to hire a car they always give you 3 companys to consider, i have now rented 3 or 4 occasions from Rentalcars and have been very pleased every time, i can highly recommend.

We were easily able to rent our car, within about 15 minutes we were on the road. Drop off very quick as well and no issues.
Booked on CarRental and was given a car from Avis. No problems at all.. car was upgraded to next level. More importantly, great prices
Very easy to rent online with Rentalcars.com so can recommend to use them.
Car provided was from Dollar, although the rental was prepaid the service at Dollar was extremely slow (a Sunday morning with minimum staff numbers) which is not what you need after a 12 hour flight to the USA. Other wise the rest of the service from Dollar was excellent.
I write my name and surname, cause this is the true, Dr. Marcello Palazzolo (reservation number 462622141) and we had a very bad experience with Rentalcars.com and Thrifty in Slovacchia, Budapest Airport.
We chose Rentalcars cause the price for 3 days was around 70 €. Good at the beginning, instead the real amount paid at shit Thrifty was 148 € !!!!
Rentalcars.com didn't inform us about any country border limit (they just wrote unlimited km), so we went simply to Poland. Neither that shit of Thrifty informed us about that fee. When we come back, we had to pay 78 € more + local taxes !!! It's a real shame !
We will never use this crap service anymore!
We pre-booked a car for our holiday in Italy. I searched all the sites on the internet and Rentalcars.com was the cheapest and easiest to use. I've used them before and was very satisfied.
The desk was easy to find at Rome airport and the car hand over was quick and easy. I would have preferred a Renault Clio to the Audi A1 we were given (better visibility front and rear) but we knew we had to take whatever was available in the class.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful and I would happily use Locauto and rental cars again.
As usual, easy to book, great value, very good, clean car - the whole experience was stress free - just what I like on holiday!!
Perfect Van size, easy to drive. Good service in pick up but better when return.
Location and price convenient. Initial car did not perform so returned to the airport for a replacement car which apparently was a premium to that paid for and seemed like a good car. Only other issue as with all car hire so many other add ons referred to at checking and would prefer better info before the rental in particular the insurance differs to UK experience where we expect priority to be given to Third Party Risks..
easy to book,straight forward pick-up. Only problem limited opening hours means sometimes difficult to arrange train travel to coincide with opening hours.

Picked up at the airport and taken to GOLDCARS, having booked on-line minimum time with collecting vehicle. Car was clean and in excellent order. Assistant spoke very good English and was very helpful After a long flight having a brief informative handover was a blessing.
Car was decent but dirty inside. Be aware that although you think you have paid everything that they will want to swipe your credit card for 600 euro incase you damage a tyre, wing, roof undercarriage, etc... I bought insurance in the UK for this which cost about £30 and this covers you for all these items. If you don't they try to sell it to you for a varied amount but a lot more than £30.
They don't like the fact you bring insurance but they can't say no when you have the documents there.
