We have a washing machine with a 5 year warranty, when we called to get it repaired we were put through to these cowboys!!
originally called on 4th January, it took a week for an engineer to arrive at 7-30 am!! then another week to be picked up by a man on his own at 6-30 pm who couldnt lift or move on his own so I had to help carry it to the van or "wait another week"
took 7 weeks to "repair" it has come back dented, scratched and gouged and still with original fault!!!
been trying for 4 weeks for them to come back out and still waiting!!
Basically have broken the dishwasher more that it was broken before. Told us lies on the phone and still waiting for someone to come and fix the original problem plus the flood the Chuckle brother caused and the leg of the dishwasher he also broke and theyve taken my 120 quid sharp enough. DO NOT USE THIS SHOWER OF COWBOYS
I arranged an appointment in the Internet for a Wed as it's my day off paid my money and 3 weeks later my oven is still broken and I can not organise for it to be repaired because apparently the engineer only works Tuesdays and Thursdays as I nor my partner can change our day off we are locked into an agreement they will not full fill . Spoke to call centre to see if anyone else can come and fix it but apparently no one in the company can fix my oven on a Wednesday . Tried to cancel but they will charge me call out plus parts . Basically the whole 120 quid . Don't use them unless you can be at home anytime they feel like coming !!!
It's a good service, once the automated booking had been transferred to the local repair company they contacted me promptly, offered to come a day earlier and the Bulgarian engineer was punctual, polite, knowledgeable and very helpful. He fixed the dishwasher without any new parts and it worked for three more days before I had to call them back.
I'd still use the company again.
When your fridge freezer goes wrong it is disastrous. All our hard won fruit form the allotment gone in two days! So I contacted Domestic and General who said they would send out Repaircare. They came fairly quickly but sadly were incapable of manging anything. In fact the young lad had to ring for help to see what was wrong. Now I am no mechanic but it seesm to me fridge freezers are somewhat basic. However he finally fixed a new timer and left. Ten hours later it was not working. Out they came once more to tell me the part was not available and would need ordering. Five weeks later, as you can imagine, I gave up. Did what I should have done - ring Check a Trade. Very knowledgeable local guy turned up in 12 hours, and yold me that Repaircare didn't know what they were doing. He fixed the fridge freezer in 30 mins and it has been going great since. Oh by the way for £90 instead. Moral - never go for flashy websites. Go for tried and tested.
Cannot beleive I have put up with over 6 months of excuses. This company firstly sub contracted another company to investigate problem, friendly enough and said the parts will be ordered through repair care as they oversee whats happening, when they get them, they'll fix it. well I've had so many poor excuses from repair care; 'part is being back ordered from Japan', 'part is in quarantine at customs', 'parts have been depatched' (and i get an arrival date, which has been postponed 11 times!!!) I was entitled to a full refund after 6 weeks, however I chose to wait as the end seemed in sight. i wanted my fridge fixed as a new one is costly. I've asked for a refund finally, didn't get it. Told there was no log of the call, asked again and had to wait 3-5 days, still haven't got it, been told I'll have to wait 7-14 days now and the lady gave me a mumbled named, spelt out a different name and wouldn't confirm if it was correct. If only I had checked here first. Dawoo have been informed, who's next!
After paying the fee, the engineer came and was in the house 3 mins. I listed 3 faults with the cooker. I didn't hear anything for 3 weeks but when I rang up Repair care I was told the thermostat was obsolete so they were unable to repair the cooker. The thermostat wasn't even faulty. The cookers faults were the seal on the door, stiff dial and the bell wasn't working. The lady I rang and spoke to told me she would call back after my complaint but never called. I have emailed and had no resolve. Do Not Use Repaircare!
What a dreadful company my problems just go on and on I am about to contact the Ombusman. They have had my money since November and my fridge is still not fixed after 3 visits many phone calls and 3 emails. What a complete shower of a company !!!
If we ran our company like this we would be out of business .
I must admit I read these reviews after I had contacted them and was expecting the
worst.
I was however very pleased with the service provided the service engineer was very professional and repaired our samsung fride freezer no problem .
completley useless company! customer services are rude and arrogant, i pre paid for a job, they sent a complete cowboy to my house that did nothing and assured me it could be fixed! heard nothing back from anyone so i followed it up muself only to be told the repair couldnt be done and i was still going to have to pay the useless guy that did nothing but waste my time. im now out of pocket and i still have a broken appliance!
AVOID FALLING INTO THE SAME TRAP I DID!!!

Having had to take a day off to wait for their engineer to come and fix my microwave. I was told to expect a call first thing to be given an approximate time for them to show up. Nothing. Then when I chased up I was told he could not make it (without even bothering to notify me), as his van broke down. The only thing they could propose is to reschedule for another day, as if people's time is of no value, and to them it makes no difference that one has to book another day off work. No business should be allowed to hold their customers hostages and get away with this, and no one has to suffer and put up with badly organized companies, and badly maintained vehicles
My Caple cooker hood stopped working. I contacted this company who contracted with a local engineer to diagnose the fault. Repaircare ordered the parts and then the engineer came to repair the fault by appointment. I paid a one-off payment and I found nothing to complain about at all. The engineer was pleasant, professional and efficient. Repaircare kept in touch throughout the process and I was very pleased with the service. I would certainly use them again. Just one caveat, the parts had to be ordered from the manufacturer, which took some time. The repair from start to finish took 4 months, but to be fair this probably was not the fault of Repaircare.

Was very nervous about paying in advance for the repair. But need not have worried, the local company Repaircare used were first class and made a great job of fixing my Stoves Oven.

I have always had cover on my appliances but never need to claim until now!!. I called the Domestic and General and their service line, a very polite and I presume young lady took my details and arranged for fix it man to pop round. I had to take time off work but they planed it in for me which was great. I was really surprised by how often I was contacted making sure that all was well. The man came with the part and within the space of a 'cup of tea' it was fixed! Excellent super service. It was my pleasure to leave you feedback Repaircare
Avoid these people they where unable to repair my microwave after 2 months which was bad enough, but now despite offering to refund in full my £185, as per clause 15 of their contract, three weeks later and 4 phone calls I'm still waiting. I have had different excuses as to the delay from 'we forgot' to 'that lady is at lunch'. Total shambles of a company. The matter is now in the hands of my credit card company under section 75 of the consumer credit act.
Paid £150 up front to get our Neff Dishwasher fixed, their local engineer A J P DOM APP SER of 3 THE COURTYARD, SAXON LANE
BN25 1QL SEAFORD, EAST SUSSEX tel 01323 898482 called to take a look. Didnt even bring out his tool box. Came back to carry out the repair over a week later, and although having assured us the dishwasher was now working, left us with the original fault and a broken dishwasher. We immediately complained to Repaircair who promised that they would arrange for the engineer to return. However having waited in for 2 days no engineer has been and we are left with no repair and just broken promises.
What a scam!
4 year old washing machine. I had not taken out insurance with it. My quote was £109. Did not like paying before i got the service but it seemed better value than getting the local electric person out.
WE NEW THAT SOMETHING WAS SERIOUSLY wrong with it.
£2 coin had wrecked the drum and heating element.
New drum and heating element required and fixed in the hour. Very Good.
Awful. Took over three months to sort. Repeated phone calls. Lied about parts arriving/not arriving. Rude customer service. Broke my cupboard door when they did finally show up. Would never use again.
My irobot vacume cleaner was damaged by water thereby ruining the electronics.
The item was collected and re. delivered by courier. It arrived back this morning in full working order, sporting a new cover looking brand new and very spic and span.
I couldn't hope for better service from this firm from e mail, telephone help and the repair itself.
Very, very pleased with the total experience.
Thank you.
'Engineer' turned up two hours late to repair a NEFF dishwasher. Dismantled our built-in units to gain access (no problem there), and diagnosed the problem as a damaged hose ("probably gnawed by a mouse"). Left saying he'd order a new hose and would return to fix at a later date. Dishwasher left dismantled, as were the kitchen units. Expected a quick return, however received a phonecall the next day from the Repaircare office saying they would not return as the problem was caused by "customer misuse". UPDATE: Repaircare have reconsidered their earlier decision and now contacted us to arrange completion of the repair. Customer services were very polite and helpful, and contacted us a number of times to ensure everything was satisfactory. Replacement parts arrived in advance of the engineer (exactly as they said they would), as did one of their senior engineers later in the day. All issues resolved .
This was my first service call to RepairCare. My Zanussi ZWI 1225 was inoperable. The tech came out, said a part had to be ordered and would take 7-10 days to arrive. Two techs arrived this morning with the part (basically the sealed drum unit - which is most of the washer) and had it working before noon. I received calls from the Service Centre to verify the Techs were onsite and then a later call to make sure the machine was working and I was happy with the result. I am completely satisfied with the result and would definitely use Repaircare again. I also know the same call would have been higher through another Service Centre - and I have the quote to prove it. Repaircare was the right choice to make.

I'm at student and like all students don't have to much spare money si when my washing machine broke I couldn't afford a new one . I must say they were great from start timo finish he wasnt long looking at it and came a couple if days later with the part and yey fixed plus its guaranteed fir a few extra months for no extra charge. Well recommended. Thanks
It is my pleasure to recommend Repaircare, the engineer was very knowledgable and repaired my Fridge in no time at all A star.
Utterly Useless - AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!
Waited 3 weeks for a part for our washing machine, engineer called to book in repair appointment - he didn't turn up, or call to explain why. It's now three days later and I'm still waiting for an apology and somebody to call and explain what the hell is going on.
I have never encountered a company of such staggering incompetence and lack of respect for their customers. I wish I had read these other reviews before I chose them!
Staff are rude. Company is a joke. Alex and Claire in the engineer dept are the rudest I have ever come across. Engineers have ruined our kitchen work top and 6 weeks later our dishwasher is still broken! All to repair an element. I can't believe they are still in business. 1st engineer put a faulty part off of his van into the dishwasher and said it would be fine to use. It wasn't and blew the electrics in our house. He only reordered half the parts needed so when the 2nd engineer arrived at 18:30 (he should have been here 18:00 latest) he then also added faulty parts and left us with a leak. Today another engineer was due and they called and simply said they were not coming as parts were not in. No mention of when they were coming back. I sent an email about damaged work surface along with picture and was told that I was basically a lier and the engineer was not at fault. Refused to give name or contact details of managers to escalate my complaint. RUBBISH company. Avoid
Repaircare attempted to fix my AEG dishwasher on 5 occasions between November 2011 and Feb 2012. Each time a different repairman arrived who seemed to have no clue as to what the previous one had done. On the 4th visit one declared it to be irrepairable, after which nothing at all happened. When queried, they sent the same repairman out AGAIN (the 5th visit) who repeated the same assessment. Now after 3 months of to & fro, the "engineers" are still assessing it with a view to "making a decision". Still no result/refund, whatever. So their website claims are a sham and their actions a monument to inefficiency. Don't use them.
They are a central booker and farm it out to seperate companies. They assured me that they had all the spare parts in stock - which they didn't and they have taken £135 of my money! The company they sent to fix my oven didn't even have a good word to say about them. Please please dont book with them go with someone like Glotech repairs who doesnt rob you of any money upfront.
I booked AND paid for a repair from this company. The engineer was to come today, when I called him, ( his number was on my online booked appt) he had no knowledge of it! Even WORSE, was that he told me my address was outwith his area anyway. Have requested a refund in full.
AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, this terrible company.
We had our Hotpoint washing machine repaired by repaircare.co.uk. The technician called us to advise us of a two hour window for our repair, he arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the problem, had the spare parts with him and repaired the machine. This was over 3 months ago and the washing machine still works as it should, Thank you.
I wish I'd found these reviews before I booked with Repaircare. For some stupid reason we thought we'd try to save money by not going with the official Bosch repair service for our fridge/freezer. We did a google search and found Repaircare.co.uk which gave all sorts of advice about Bosch appliance repairs.
Turns out they are just a front and farm out repairs to individual local companies. The one we were assigned is INCOMPETENT and our fridge/freezer has been broken for weeks now. The engineer clearly has no idea what he's doing, inspects the appliance for about five minutes at a time before declaring he needs to "order new parts just in case", none of which are getting the job done as it's still broken. The office, when I call them to check on the status of the parts and to schedule engineer visits, always promise to call me back but NEVER do -- instead I am always chasing them.
All they want is to charge their call-out fee and then wash their hands of any professional service required. If we had gone with anyone else I can't help but think our fridge/freezer would have been repaired WEEKS ago.
Repaired my appliance at a fixed price - all seemed fine until 2 months later when the same fault happened again. I phoned to get it repaired again under their warranty and they said ok. No one came for 3 weeks and then I got a phone call to say it's not under warranty. I had to call back - they then said that it was now out of warranty so there was nothing they could do (other than charge me full price again). I said it was weeks since I'd booked it again under warranty and they said no, today was the first time I'd phoned and they had no record of me phoning when it was in warranty. I said I'd phoned 3 weeks ago! They said there was no record! I said but someone had phoned me back! They said that didn't happen! Refused to do anything. Absolute charlatains.
I gave this company one star because 'zero' wasn't an option. Stay away from this company! The 'engineer' they sent out to our flat in Edinburgh (from Appliance Technical Services) was unprofessional, clearly unqualified and unable to repair our washing machine. The engineer lied on several occasions and after no attempt to repair our machine, reported it as 'no fault found, job done'. The 'customer service' showed no interest in this and, after several phone calls and emails they still charged us £45 for the call out. Terrible service. Avoid the headache!!
From Homeserve, Repaircare and Bespoke Appliances [the technician]
£45 for 5 minute visit. I believe this is the first line on their business plan. The second would be explaining how: we get the insurance, charge £154, book a 10 minutes visit and then cancel the policy with an excuse (mine was they couldn't find parking therefore couldn't access the machine!) with a £45 margin. Not bad.
I own two companies myself, and if homeserve or repaircare was one of them, I would find a buyer... quickly, before it gets busted.
Here is my review:
1) 7 WEEKS of wasted time
2) 4 hours of lost wages due to a same day appointment cancelled
3) FAKE AND FALSE statements on the Repaircare job by the technician subcontracted
4) Complete unprofessionalism (WRONG ASSESSMENT without even opening the washing machine)
5) NO COMMUNICATION at all (I spent hours on the phone, me calling them!)
6) BLAMING each other (homecare to repaircare and viceversa)
7) Was transferred to one department to another on a LOOP (Homeserve customer service have no clues how to escalate a complain. 7) Repaircare simply say they cannot do anything; can't be bother I would say)
8) You (the paying party) are KEPT OUT (they did refuse to send me an email explaining, like they did very well over the phone, why they couldn't help, so that I could keep records)
The happy ending: took another insurance with Domestic and General, 1 week later an Official Hoover engineer came out and fixed on its first visit, changing even parts that wasn't really faulty as a standard maintenance check.
(almost happy...) still battling for the full refund. Not giving up. Just a principle that is you provide me with a service, I pay for it, but if you don't and waste my time, you won't have a dime from me. Period.
Placed one on-line booking for a date and paid with my credit-card. Received call back saying the local engineer has a bereavement and couldn't do the job and that all other engineers in the region were busy. I booked another slot for the following week and paid again (first one was to be refunded). I later had a call from the local engineer (the same one who's contact details were texted to me for BOTH bookings) who knew nothing of a bereavement and who also couldn't manage the date I'd booked. He tells me they just get an e-mail from Repaircare telling them to attend a job. There is no link between the slots that Repaircare offer and any ability of engineers to actually do the repair in that slot. Repaircare therefore act as an unqualified job dispatch agent in this regard. Unqualified because they don't check feasibility before they offer the slot and accept payment.
A joke. I won't go near them again. They don't use their own engineers anyway, so you can get access to the same engineers another way.

I paid for a repair to my Bosch fridge freezer on the 2nd March 2011, today is the 1st July and the repair has still not been carried out.
A part was placed on order for 2 months, when it finally arrived it took another 2 weeks for the engineer to call me to arrange to fit it.
Alas the freezer still had the same problem.
When I contacted the engineer he told me he knew it was the wrong part when he fitted it!!!!!!!, but he hoped it would work!!!!!.
Another 3 weeks went by while what he thought was the correct part was ordered and fitted, but on fitting it he told me it wasn't that part after all and he would now have to order a sensor.
Repair care called me 24th June to say the Engineer was in receipt of the part and he would arrange for it to be fitted, one week later and I'm still waiting for him to call.
I HAVE MADE NUMEROUS EXPENSIVE CALLS TO REPAIRCARE, TO NO AVAIL, I PAID THEM £119 ( which was taken from my account immediately) AND HAVE STILL NOT GOT A FULLY WORKING FREEZER.
I am totally frustrated by the whole experience of being lied to by staff and fobbed off by being told some one would call me back.
PLEASE DON'T SUBMIT YOURSELF TO SUCH AN ORDEAL FIND A RELIABLE COMPANY, I DON'T KNOW HOW THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS, SOMEONE SHOULD LOOK INTO THEIR DEALINGS.
This company do not have their own engineers, they take your money then contact and use local trade in your area, do yourself a favour, look in yellow pages and engage the services of a reputable tradesman yourself and save time, money and a hell of a lot of frustration.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE OR USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU HAVE BEEN FORWARNED !!!!!!!

I was given the impression that Repaircare were part of Bosch by a deliberately misleading website.
I paid for and booked a repair for my Bosch dishwasher in early December. The machine was not washing properly on some cycles.
It is now late May and the repair has still not been completed despite two engineer's visits - The first visit in late January put the machine totally out of action and I was then told it was "beyond repair".
I naturally disputed this as it had been at least 90% functional before their "engineer" got involved. They agreed to have another go but after weeks and weeks of pathetic excuses and another visit by someone who clearly had absolutely no clue what he was doing the only change was that I now had damage to my kitchen cabinets as well as no dishwasher.
On multiple occasions I have been told an engineer will visit on a particular day and have been stood up. Calls have almost never been returned and I am baffled as to how such a disorganised and incompetent company can remain in business.
Reading the other people's comments on this website I now realise that RepairCare is nothing to do with Bosch and is clearly just a scam.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!

You know you have made a mistake when the moment the Engineer says this will be no problem and that is why I am always used.
The request to repair our Dishwasher was logged on the 23rd March 2011, as of today it still remains not usable. After protracted discussions the Engineer deemed the machine not repairable as parts were unavailable. The parts were located by me from another supplier.
This has resulted in calls being cut off or not taken by him.
The Escalations Dept are just as bad as their answer to the problem, refund all the money except the call out charge and then basically wash their hands of the problem. So much for Customer Care and satisfaction.
I will never use them again and have advised all friends, relatives and colleagues to steer well clear of this Company.
