ONE STAR ? THIS COMPANY ARE THAT BAD THEY DONT DESERVE A STAR!!
sent my iphone to them on the 8 september 2013 and after countless calls and emails to check up on the status on my phone all I get is that they are waiting for parts. It is now 6 November 2013. They claim that they can not get the parts from company they use and have been on order they keep telling me that they would be in next week. And even said on the 26 september that they had parts. Ive heard this excuse on many occasions. I am also still waiting for complaints dept / [Name] to return my calls, he is the manager as i sent him an official complaint on the 18/10/13 promised to get back to me on the 1/11/13. They lied and didn't. .I will be taking the company Repairs 4 to court and have forms ready. They will also be hearing from the legal department of my payment provider. ( Bank) Im also going to report them to watchdog and to the local trading standards.
Apparently the company normally ask trust pilot to remove these negative reviews claiming they are not from real customers. My name is David Giles and trust me! I am a real customer..... If you value your sanity DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY ARE DREADFUL. I wish I had seen this site before i sent my iPhone to them.
I don't know how [Name] sleeps at night I wouldn't treat anybody with sheer contempt as this company. All they seem to do is lie lie lie.... I Hope [Name] reads this review and has the decency to phone / email me but I've more chance of flying to the moon.
As you can tell I'm not happy and hope [Name] can restore my faith in his company or is he the mastermind behind this company that are one big SCAM ?!?!
I (stupidly) sent my 64gb iPhone 4S to this "company" to repair a stiff power button. Other than that it worked perfectly. It came back a month later and would no longer work at all. Rang them...they claimed that's how they received it. I'd spoken to them on 3 occasions chasing it and they never mentioned anything else wrong with the phone and were clearly incorrect. They told me they had photo's proving the additional fault - have been to trading standards and asked them Repairs 4 to prove etc and they have since stopped replying. Have just filed with small claims court. Repairs 4 normally ask trust pilot to remove these negative reviews claiming they are not from real customers. My name is Michael J Pope and trust me! I am a real customer
I have since taken this "company" to the small claims court. They have not responded and I am requesting judgement against them.
For your own sake do not use this company and make sure you tell as many people as you can so no one else gets conned by them.
Repairs4 were able to repair my Samsung S3 top glass for just £60 compared to my local shops that states they would do it for £95. While there are a few tiny scratches present of the LCD screen these probably happened when I broke the top glass.
I luckily was able to pop into their Felixstowe branch as I was on holiday in the area. They did the repair for me in a few hours and were brilliant!
Having posted this review on Saturday morning I received an immediate phone call at home from the man himself. Very apologetic etc etc and he would personally take my case on board on Monday morning and phone me, promising to put the phone in the post by Tuesday. It's now 3-30 on Monday and still no phone call. I rang at lunchtime to be told he was out at a meeting but would be back by 2pm and would phone me. In the meantime my 'account' still says waiting for replacement parts. Clearly you would not expect a repair company to carry a stock of replacement screens or am I just being cynical! I have been in touch with Trading Standards, the local newspaper and the local MP.
THIS MORNING I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT THE DIRECTOR OF REPAIRS4.COM IS ALSO A DIRECTOR OF A COMPANY CALLED [external reference] AND [external reference]. USE OF THE WORD SWIFT IS A JOKE!! THEY SUPPLY WHOLESALE ELECTRONIC PARTS AND EQUIPMENT. I HAVE WRITTEN TO [Name] TO ASK IF HIS OTHER COMPANY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL THE FAULTY PARTS THAT HAVE BEEN SENT AND IF HE IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF REPAIRS4.COM PROBLEMS. I AWAIT HIS REPLY. Sent iphone 4 off to repair screens and a power button on 8th October. Very impressed with website but oh how I wished I had read the reviews first. Had email to say they had received the phone and there were other faults, interestingly also told the battery was swollen and that would cost another 15.99 (see below). I have rung and e mailed twice a week since then and either speak to a nice girl called [Name] who puts you on hold and allegedly goes to talk to an engineer but still comes back with the same message - the parts they received were faulty and they are waiting for new ones to arrive. After nearly 4 weeks still nothing. I have contacted the local Felixstowe MP for help and contacted the local newspaper. I too will be reporting them for mis advertising. They do not offer an express service nor can they possibly repair hundreds of phones every week. Every time I contact them I ask them to read the reviews. Am I living in hope?
I send a phone off for repair paying extra for a speedy job. This was not to be, they did not have the glass for the repair. In all it took about 3 to 4 weeks for the repair to be completed. In fairness to the company, after an initial phone call to enquire about the repair, they keep me informed regarding progress. I am now waiting to get my money for a speedy return.
The handling of my order by Repairs4 has been extremely poor.
For a service to be advertising 3-5 days for a repair to still not have managed to deal with my device after over **40 days** is just completely ridiculous. On top of that customer communication has been completely lacking, at the very least with the likelihood of long delays you would expect to be informed about this. I would therefore not recommend Repairs4 to anyone and would recommend that people take their business elsewhere.
I am still hesitating as to whether to report Repairs4 for mis-advertising their services.
I have given up waiting for the item to be repaired and have asked to have the device returned instead.
*THIS IS A GENUINE REVIEW BY A DISSATISFIED CUSTOMER, I WOULD APPRECIATE THAT THIS COMMENT WOULD BE LEFT VISIBLE AND *NOT* REPORTED AS BEING FALSE! I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT IT IS QUITE GENUINE!*
I wish I had read the reviews on this company first. I sent my Samsung s4 on the 19th September for a front screen repair after an awful lot of emails and phone calls it finally arrived back to me on the 14th October, unrepaired!!! Originally I was told they had received a faulty batch if screens but I couldn't tell you why nearly 4 weeks later the issue hadn't been resolved. They are worst company I have ever had to deal with and because of this experience I don't know who I can trust to repair my phone. Please read the reviews for this company before sending your items to them!
I sent my iPhone 4s off to them (foolishly) for a simple charging port replacement, they never did email me to say the phone had arrived, as they said they would! After two weeks I had heard nothing from them so decided to give them a call, after about ten minutes of waiting I finally spoke to a very nice lady who put me on hold while she went to chat with a man in the work shop, after a few minutes came back only to tell me that the battery was swollen and needed to be replaced which would cost another £15.99 and that the phone would be with me by the middle of next week. Well ten days have now passed and (you guessed it) still no phone! I called them this morning they told me that the delivery of batteries were faulty and were waiting for another delivery, and that I should have my phone back in another five days! That turned into ten days, I called them today (9/10/13) and they updated me this afternoon that it was in the post to me, this episode has taken around six to seven weeks, never again!!!
Having sent my 4S off to repair a stuck power button, I was pretty shocked to read all the bad reviews of this company !
However, my experience of this company was thus: I sent the phone off on a Friday, and received it back the following Wednesday with the power button repaired and working perfectly. They kept me up to date on the progress of the repair online and used DPD to return my phone to me which has an excellent tracking service.
I can't speak for other people, but I had no issues whatsoever and the repair was not even that expensive.
Wish I'd read these reviews before using this company. They've had my iPhone (with cracked screen) for 14 days now. On several occasions, via email as I can't get through on the phone, I've asked them to send it back to me and refund my money - - nothing ... Calling my credit card company tomorrow to cancel the payment and citizens advice to get my phone back. Very disappointing service. Would never recommend to anyone ...
It took Repairs4 three weeks and five days to repair my Samsung Galaxy S3, they told me it would be two or three days They had my phone three days without a word or email from them, I had to ring them to find out what was going on. The only explanation I got was, we are waiting for parts, I got this answer every time I rang which was numerous times. When you ask to speak to a manager one is never available and you get fobbed off with a manager will call you back, but they never do. No point emailing they don't answer them. If you can wait a month for your repair it's fine as repair was OK.
Just a quick note to thank the team at repairs 4 for fixing my daughters iPad. She was so sad to tell me that she had broken the screen but having found this website i was pleased to tell her it would all be sorted shortly. I sent my iPad off on the Saturday to be received on Monday and on Friday we received the iPad back all working. I didn't pay for the express service as it was not required but happy with how long it took.
I'm typing this for a second time, as if you click the "dissatisfied" button, you get taken to their site, NOT trust pilot, despite their claims that "All reviews, good, bad or otherwise will be viewable immediately."
I cracked the screen of my iPhone 4S, and as I was going away in the very near future needed a swift repair. Forked out for 24hr service on top of the standard charge plus another 7 quid for the return postage. Then sent the phone off by special delivery to arrive by 9am the next day. RM updated to show the parcel as delivered, but Repairs4 did not acknowledge receipt. No call/text/email, no update on my account, nothing. Tried ringing them (this was at 12pm), was on hold for 20 minutes before I had to hang up to go to work. The next day still hadn't heard anything, couldn't ring them as their phone lines were 'down'. Emailed them to find out what was going on, but after three hours the only response I got was "you can check the status of your order online" even though I clearly stated that it wasn't showing anything.
I didn't want to leave it over the weekend, and after reading into more of the online reviews I became really worried and decided to drive to Felixstowe. I was greeted by a bemused looking girl who, when I told her why I was there, left me to talk to what I assume was her manager for a good 10 minutes, with him periodically peering at me through the office glass. After that she came out and told me my phone was in the middle of being repaired. When I said I didn't want to leave without my phone, she disappeared AGAIN. Her manager comes out and says that they can do the repair in an hour. Got phone, and manager's promise that the delivery charge would be refunded back to me within 7-10 days. Funnily enough my bank statement says otherwise.
On top of everything, my phone has lines running across the screen.
Do NOT use this company, how they can operate with such disrespect to their consumers is completely beyond me.
I really wish I had read the reviews on here before I sent 2 phones to them for repair. I sent them on June 23rd. One was water damaged and was to be investigated. 8 weeks later its still being investigated, with no progress report or hint of return. The other had a cracked screen which was replaced and returned after 3 weeks. the screen was badly fitted and didnt work properly. It was returned to them and received on 31st July and since then nothing. I have emailed their help desk numerous times without any reply. I have phoned 6 times and got through once to be commisserated with and told someone would contact me to tell me whats happening....no contact. As I write this I am on hold again (currently at 16 minutes and Im supposedly caller No 2!) I just want my phones back repaired or not. I have posted on their facebook page. They clearly monitor this as within 10 minutes each time the post has been removed. Tweets go unanswered. Clearly nobody at Repairs4 actually cares about their customers and tries to sort out the issues. I would urge people not to use this company.
Finally got through and apparently both devices are being returned to me by courier tonight. I will be very relieved when I have them both in my hands.
I Sent my Sons iPhone 4 for replacement screen, they received it next day but didn't email like the web site states they do. I called up after 5 days and was told the service took a week and to expect it back the following week. It took 35 minutes in a phone queue to speak to an advisor who was very friendly but gave false expectations.
A week later still no phone so I called again, 20 minutes in a queue, friendly member of staff again who appeared shocked at the amount of time they had had the phone and said their batch of screens were faulty and were expecting new batch in on Monday and I would have phone back by Tuesday, it didn't arrive Tuesday and I had put them on my list of things to do Friday to chase up again. I had sent them an email chasing it up and to this I received no response, then without warning it arrived back here after 28 days.
The screen seems to have been replaced ok and the twice I called them the staff were friendly but I would not recommend them if you want a quick turn around, they do not live up to the quick and speedy and informed service that they advertise on web site and you do not get the status updates via email at each stage like they say they do.
The staff were pleasant and friendly which is a good thing and doesn't add insult to injury but most people in this situation will just want a quick service which this is not.
They advertise 24 hour delivery, don't be mislead that this means your phone/ device will be fixed in 24 hours, from my experience it means it will be fixed in 4 weeks then sent back back to you on next day delivery. I don't like leaving negative feedback so the most important thing to understand is that the service is ok as the phone has been repaired to a good standard and staff friendly but it is very very slow, I would not se again because of the amount of time it took.
DONT DO IT!! Order for Samsung Galaxy S3 screen processed on the 23/05/2013, the phone was eventually returned to me despite numerous calls and email requests for information; shipped to me on the 19th June. Since receiving the phone back I am totally dissatisfied with the service and the state of the repair as dust and grit is under the screen. I assume a seam or seal of some kind has obviously not been reinstated as the dust that has never occurred before the repair is continuing to grow on a daily basis which cannot be cleaned or accessed. I am not prepared to accept any further costs of any kind for postage to return the phone to be put to a state of "satisfaction guaranteed", and since I have had the screen replaced (by GeekSquad) due to it not working and 'rattling' after repairs$ had their hands on it. Satisfaction Guarantee not worth it's ad space!
