My medium sized envelope 30 x 2 x 21 cm and weighing 100 grams was refused as a large envelope. The contents, 2 small piece of fabric felt costing £1.80 and although it was to be sent recorded signed for I was told it was too big to go through a letterbox, although I had no trouble doing so???? They wanted £3.15 for a parcel service instead of £2.15 for an envelope. I refused to pay and sourced another service "[external reference]" for £2.75. Royal Mail has no shame, they offer a totally shambolic service for premium prices and I'm sick and tired of the amount of times I've had to ring them for all the same reasons that people are writing here; lost and damaged parcels, undelivered mail, impossible to communicate with, etc....... Do we really have to put up with this? NO we do not - check [external reference] who offer a fabulous service for items up to 2 kg and that costs £3.99 and for the smallest of items refer to [external reference] as above.
