Unaware I needed 2 lots of boarding tickets for my 2 week holiday. I now know to print my return tickets off the day I travel out. A 240 euro charge taught me this. Stupidly when I printed all of my documents off a week before we travelled I didnt realise I didnt have return flight boarding tickets in my bundle of papers.I assumed the printouts I had were ripped off and used again on the return journey. I think this is the only airline to not make the tickets available until 15 days before you travel. Trying to organise a holiday with your family and 2 kids is chaotic enough without having to print your tickets off the day you leave too. Of course had I realised this I would have printed them. Ryanair put me straight though when we had to nearly miss our flight home and pay them this 60 euros per person to RE-PRINT 4 little tiny boarding cards. We had paid extra for priority booking so slightly more maddening when they confirm at the desk that you're already booked on to the flight.
I have flown on many airlines ..... but this was terrible ..... staff are the worst possible ( except for the lovely blonde lady at Liverpool - 16th September evening-who was really helpful).
Cabin staff are like military sergeants and miserable as sin! ...... This must be a company anyone works for who is desperate to get into the airline industry and serve an apprenticeship.
Treated like cattle .... spoken to rudely .... and prices on board for any food or drinks you need a mortgage for! 3 euros for a cup of tea or coffee .... almost 6 euros for a small bottle of wine or a miniature short.
If you fly with these you need to be slick and smart ..... and beware they may charge you for every extra ounce you carry ( we were OK and under the limit) ..... and beware ladies ..... no purses hanging round your neck ...... that is classed as your hand luggage!
Both ways from Liverpool to Reus the cabin pressure was not correct and caused lots of problems especially for the little children / babies......this is the first time ever I have been physically sick after a flight and I'm sure it was due to the cabin pressure being incorrect.
Only positive .... flights on time.
Would rather fly with competitors and pay a little more ....
Very uncomfortable experience flying Ryanair to Ireland again. They made every single person put their hand luggage into the metal cage and charged anyone whose luggage didn't fit. It obviously made them a lot of money right there and then but upset the whole plane full of passengers.
I've just used their service - a little rough but great prices!

As a low cost airline I appreciate that you get what you pay for - no bells and whistles and a straightforward on board service.
I have used Ryanair for a number of years to fly to Ireland and have found the costs increasing with charges for checked in baggage being expensive, luggage allowances decreasing and the most insulting charge for payment by any type of card - whether credit or debit which really bumped the cost up.
My recent flight was quoted at £35 return and ended up being £90 each with all extras on!
The onboard crew were polite and courteous and the quality of the food and drinks on board was good.
Would prefer a more up front charging structure so you really know what you are paying for rather than advertising low costs which are never realistic.

5 stars for being cheap, after that forget it. The Ryanair experience is never going to get any better. Rude staff, terrible service and any opportunity to bend the rules to extort you of money and they are there. Unfortunately I do use Ryanair and every time I vow it will be my last. Please God, make me win the lottery so I will not have to use them again.
We had booked 3 tickets from/to Billund - Malaga.
When I did the online check-in I also booked 3 times priority for both flights for a price of 249 dkkr.
After I payed, I checked the itenary, and it said "priority" on all the three tickets.
So I printed the boardingpasses and was happy because, we were travelling wiht a 2-year-old child, who has problems sitting still. So you can imagine, that it was very important for us to sit all together.
BUT when we boarded, we were denied acces to the priority and ofcourse, we didn't end up sitting together.
We checked our online itenary, but now we couldn't see them online anymore because, it was to close to the flight.
We tried calling Ryanair from the airport, but wasn't able to reach them.
We have also checked our bankaccount many times and the money has not been taken from our account.
But I'm 100% sure, that it accepted the payment AND that the itenary said "priority" the day, that I did the online check-in.
It is the first, and last, time we ever will fly with Ryanair.
they fly to many places but dislike the hidden charges that you sometimes overlook and is so small in print that you miss reading it

I fly to Spain monthly.Use Ryanair and have no problems.Cheap, on time(usually) flights. Clean planes. Staff courteous.
Checked in baggage allowance is clearly stated on the boarding pass. Still, people moan when they take a bag to check in when it is overweight. I suppose these are the people who can't read!!
Then there are the arguments with staff over the size and weight of the cabin baggage.People moan again because their bag was bigger than , or heavier than the permitted allowance.
This really gets me, and frustrates staff.
Most passengers can read, and abide by the rules and fly easily, peacefully and economically.
The only problem is the people who try to get away with breaking these rules.
If you don't want to abide by the clearly stated terms and conditions, don't fly Ryanair!!
I'm getting tired of listening to your moaning.

I can't stand Ryan air, its the cheapest and you certainly get what you pay for but with bag size checks and a terrible air system on the plane, whenever i get on one of there planes i get the taste of vomit in the back of my mouth, I have no problem with flying, i went abroad with British Air once and they were great but I cant afford them so i now take the 6 hour ferry rides to Ireland over the 2 hour ordeal with Ryan air. Fly-be offer great prices sometimes cheaper than ryanair and yet they're fantastic. Either way i highly recommend Ryan Air as a last resort.
Got us to Spain without any delays. Booking process was frustrating and they added extra tax at the last minute. I still prefer EasyJet.
Left over a hundred passengers stranded in Bologna ( or rather at Forli - over an hour away from Bologna - with no access to taxis, buses or hotels available). The airport (a sad, ex-military outpost) was going to close at midnight and leave everyone stranded.
Luckily a lovely local woman helped myself and three others (including a vulnerable young female student with no money) back to Bologna.
This was my first experience of Ryanair - shocking!
Needless to say it was impossible to contact anyone at Ryanair.
Travelling to Bologna with Ryanair is dangerous - go with EasyJet or a regular airline.
My first issue with Ryanair took place a few month ago, when I paid for priority boarding, this service was not provided and when I claimed it to the cabin crew and to his customer service department, they treated me in a very unpolite way, with 0 empathy, total indefference and refusing to refund me the money I paid because they were not allowed to do that at the customer service department.
As it wasn't a big amount, I decided not to take any action, but this company has now gone too far with their last dirty trick.
I booked a flight Barcelona-Dublin for my mother, and a flight London-Dublin for me, shceduling both flights in a way that I would arrive earlier than my mother to Dublin's airport, as she is not able to speak in English. Well, a few weeks before the date we must fly, Ryanair sent an e-mail to my mother informing that the flight timing has been modified. I contacted Ryanair (through a very expensive phone line that has raised my phone bill disproportionately) asking them to change my flight, but after more than 5 minutes, the agent I was speaking to, told me that if I wanna change my flight I will need to pay a fee of 50 pounds aprox (higher amount that the one I paid for the ticket) because Ryanair did not change my flight but the one for my mother. That if I want, I can change my mother's flight for free (useless taking into account that there's no other flight for that day). Despite I tried to make this "smart" lady understand that I would not be in the need to change my flight if they hadn't change the one for my mother, and that they only need to traspass the right to modify for free my mother's flight, to my flight, that for Ryanair wouldn't make any difference because only one flight will be modified anyway, she merely repeted that they are not allowed to process my request and that I would need to send a fax (spending again more money) to the central service, that is not reacheable by phone. I did what I was told, and sent a fax, without receiving any reply from them, so like the day of our flights is approaching, I've been forced to change my flight and pay the fee, because I couldn't allow to make my mother wait alone more than 4 hours in an airport and without speaking the language...
This situation, makes me raise some questions:
1/ If at the customer service department aren't allowed to do anything, what's the point of having this customer service?
2/ Why do they make you writting to the central service if they are not going to reply you?
3/Do they ignore deliberately the requests they receive so the customer has no choice but to pay, and pay, and pay again?
Well, one thing is for sure, this is the last time I flight with this company, they are not the only low cost company in the world... It may seem a little thing, but since I flight very often from London to Barcelona, Ryanair has just made a gift to their competitors an amount of 7200 pounds per year.
And this review is not the only action I'm undertaking. I am writting a letter to the most important Spanish newspapers and I am going to launch a viral campaign through the social networks, and then maybe, my 7200 pounds per year would not be the only amount that this bunch of scammers is going to lose...
However, I am going to give Ryanair one last chance. If they contact me before the 3rd September (reservation AHKTVA, you can find my contact details there), and they agree to refund me the 10 pounds from the issue of the priority boarding, the cost of the phone calls and the fax, and the fee I have paid for changing my flight, I will remove this negative review, won't start the viral campaing and I will reconsider my decision of buying all my furhter flights through their most important competitor...
People at Ryanair, it's your turn to decide...

My flight got delayed for 45 minutes and they made us stand in the Q. Not a single apology was given that day.
Just dont buy this cause its nothing worts,,,,,will just give you an idea of you are covered. My situation was going to Spain 7 days with this insurance in my pocket. But in Spain I got ill, my elbow and arm suddely got twice as thick as normal--fever and pain and fear from loosing my arm was my situation now. I stayed in Spain 5 days in bed. I went to the private doctor (i was covered to this) which gave me treatment and medicine. This did cost me 80 Euro and my tickets was 170 euro. This left my claim to 250 euro. Lets se what i payed insuranse Ryanair 16 euro, doctor and medicine 80 euro, medical certificate here in DK( this certificate they didnt pay but they did want it) 26 euro which gives 122 euros.
Lets se what Ryanair gave me 80 euro which their insurance excess? was 50 euros, this gave me 30 euro....oh just forgot to tell youI had to pay 3,5 euro for Ryanairs transfer to Denmark which gave me 26,5 Euro. They newer answered why the ticket not was refound. godnight Ryanair

My case was 5kg under, my hand luggage 3kg over so they fined me. I had 2kg extra that I paid for but this made no difference. DISGUSTING! Rude Staff on the Plane! Would use other airline but they are the only option to Murcia from Bournemouth!! Ggrrrrr
First time i have used this airline....Stanted to Malaga ( i have heard a lot of bad comments about this airline in the past, but i never thought it could be as bad as i heard.......Honestly.... It is worst!!!!!, Both flights just as bad, rude staff, no customer service whatsoever, is all about the money,i only book these flights due to convenient time table this time around, nothing to do with pricing which they are not cheaper anyway. But believe you me when i say that if all the other airlines were to stop flying to Malaga i would consider driving instead of using them again. TRADING STANDARDS/REGULATOR SHOULD REALLY LOOK INTO THE WAY THIS AIRLINE OPERATES.
I know it's a cheap flight - but really - is it?
Remember - we all used to go on package holidays, get picked up at the airport, transferred, into a hotel...
Now it's mostly just cheap airlines trying to vie for our business..
Prices look cheap, taxes etc are now included in prices (which is good)
£30 or so for a checked in baggage (each way)
£6 for priority boarding
£10 to reserve a seat...
But my biggest bugbear is the queue to get on the plane, it's so disorganised, especially when it's early in the morning, and there's not a lot of staff on. You have to wait to get on the plane, you have to find a seat, which if you are in a group of 3 (2 adults and 1 child) is difficult - "you should have paid £18 for priority boarding" I hear you say... £18 is £18, we could get a meal out for that!.
Bottom line is I just wish the queue was organised better - maybe the earliest bookers go into a section at the front of the queue, and last bookers goto the back..
And don't speak to me about people that jumped the queue
Plus points - going out - we were 20 mins early! woop!
Coming back - we landed bang on time..
oh and we got seats together both ways...

I've flown all over Europe with Ryan Air. For sure their prices are unbeatable. Their service is bad, they do not spend resources in customer service, but again, when paying 5 Euros for a 2 hour flight... I don't complain.
Man får hvad man betaler for, ingen mad, service etc.
I just feel like being treated like an animal sometimes with Rynair. I don't know if anyone else is also feeling this?
I had problems with Lowcostholidays which got my surname wrong on the flights and would not change it in less I paid £145, even though it was there mistake. I emailed ryanair and within 5 mins i had new flight confirmation with correct surname and a lovely email. Brilliant customer service, would recommend to anyone1

3 people return ticket to Sevilla, Spain
Cheapest price, arrived on time, seats slightly cramped but ok, what do you expect (I am 190cm tall).
The main thing I would like them to improve on is: improved pricing transparency and reducing the amount of rubbish they try to sell to you during the online booking process.
So, if you are a smart savvy shopper, I can recommend them, otherwise get what you pay more for somewhere else.

No care for family values, not enough room in the boarding zone and they don't care, the seats are full of noze boogers and never cleaned. The seat numbering should be mandatory on flight boarding pass in case of ligation (lawsuits) and because they cannot count properly the number of passenger and the seats are not assigned: they have to re-count everytime.
Instead of spending time on scratch card in the flight: suppress the scratch card logisitics and print the boarding card for free not for £20
A bunch of careless idiots lobbying for getting more airways but not delivering the service.

The aircraft are bang up to date, the crew efficient and the range of destinations is as wide as could be reasonably expected though the distance from where one wants to be can stretch credibility at times. The main bugbear is the total lack of transparency in price. We all know that the lead in prices are fair- tale so why not be honest and stop all the ridiculous add-ons which are virtually unavoidable. Until this honesty is adopted Ryaniar will continue to be criticised by the majority of the travelling public.
Awful company. Everything you've ever heard about them is true, they are liars and thieves. They will charge you money for absolutely everything they can. I'm surprised they don't charge you for the oxygen in the planes. Don't be tempted by their low prices, once you've added on charges for luggage, booking fees, checking in fees, debit/credit card fees, airport tax plus more it ends up the same price as a nicer airline.

Flght was cheap and on time, hense the 3 stars! But to be on time the landing had to be done into a strong headwind, ive never been so scared in my life.
But I guess that is what it is, no thrills get from A to B!
Ryan Air are money grabbing wankers disguised as a budget airline. They quote you something ridiculously low when you're choosing airlines then once you're stuck with them you effectively have to pay for the air you wish to consume whilst on board. The journey is unpleasant perhaps because they want to remind you you're doing it the 'cheap' way. You'll wish you never did it. Avoid avoid avoid.

UNFORTUNATELY VERY BASIC I PRESUME THAT IT WHAT YOU PAY FOR. LAST TRIP THE AIR CREW WERE NOT VERY WELCOMING
We booked with ARGHHH-air in may to fly to spain in august. They emailed on the 10th july to tell us the flights had become more expensive because of some spanish airport tax and that they would debit the difference from our card soon... ERM REALLY? So i contacted them to cancel the flight as there were now cheaper alternatives. They replied after a few days to tell me i had less than 24 hours to submit a refund application... GOOD JOB I HAD CHECKED MY EMAIL!. I did this on the 12th. I then sent them another email detailing my dissatisfaction as I do not feel 24 hour is an acceptable time to respond to an email. I have family members like most of your readers who are not as thorough with their emails as i am and this email may not have been read in time. Thus meaning you lose out on £500 worth of refund that is due. After i sent them a rather large complaint which addressed various points, I even asked them for their regulator contact details. I simply got a ctr & v reply saying...
"Please be advised that all Ryanair's passengers were notified of the charge relating to the increased Spanish departure tax and they were given till the 15th of July to request a refund."... very frustrating.
so i go back on to their website to reply to their staff again in a hope that my complaint wont be read by another dribbling sloth of a man and what do i find.... their website seems to have changed. I can press "complain"..enter my name and details ect... but the comments box has disappeared. So i can not even document my frustration. !!!

Please try and do something about baggage prices though, I find this a major problem having to weigh everthing before going on holiday.

Except from being quite regularly on time (what they do not forget to remind you after a landing with loud sounds), Ryanair is the worst airline I have ever flown with.
I stopped using them since they charged me £35 for a hand luggage that they said was 2cm too high.
They try to take money out of you everywhere. You cannot even consider trying to sleep during a 2h flight: you are interrupted all the time with merchandises (drinks/food, duty free, lottery tickets, train tickets...).
You will soon be charged for using their toilets, as their CEO suggested once.
Avoid it!

Overcharges for everything except the basic price of the flight. Best thing I can say is that they are good timekeepers.
