I bought 2 pairs of shoes in 2013. They arrived in a timely manner and I was initially pleased wityh my purchases. However, within the space of about 6 months and coming into the winter months, I noticed that both pairs were developing a white colour - almost like scuff marks, across the insteps and outsides. Shoe polish would not correct this as within a short period of time, the marking was back again. I eventually concluded that water was seeping into the leather and causing this. Indeed, one sole had actually developed a hole and cracking. I did send an e-mail to Samuel Windsor but received no response. I could forgive them if things had simply gone wrong in the manufacturing process such as a leather defect or something, but to not respond to an e-mail is something else.
I recently went for a pair of classic brogues as they weren't too flashy like so many brogues. I wear shoes all day and am on my feet for a large amount of time considering my profession (musician) so it is important that my feet are comfortable. They were, and I would highly recommend these to other people.
Looking forward to new catalogues from the company in the future
